The anarchy destiny 2: How To Get Anarchy (Exotic Heavy Grenade Launcher)

How To Get Anarchy (Exotic Heavy Grenade Launcher)

By
John Feliciani

Anarchy is one of the best Exotics in Destiny 2 for both ADD clear and boss DPS. Here is how to get this amazing Arc Grenade Launcher guaranteed.

Anarchy is an Exotic Grenade Launcher for the Heavy slot in Destiny 2 and is one of the best PvE weapons. This Arc powerhouse is capable of eliminating an entire group of enemies in just a few shots. Not much is known about Season 18, except that the new Arc 3.0 subclasses will be debuting. Depending on the effects of the Artifacts and Fragments, Anarchy may end up being a must-have Exotic weapon. In order to get Anarchy, players will need to start completing Raids in Destiny 2.

Initially, this weapon was a random drop from the Scourge of the Past Raid on Earth. The activity was released as part of Season of the Forge in 2018 and was sunsetted in 2020. Sunsetting is the act of removing old content from Destiny 2, making said content and any related weapons or armor unavailable. As is typical with current Raid weapons, players had a slight chance of looting Anarchy from the final reward chest. A while after the change, an Exotic Kiosk was put in The Tower, called Monument of Lost Lights. This is an archive of past Exotic weapons no longer obtainable via normal methods. The gear can be bought anytime, as long as players have the necessary materials.

Anarchy can be purchased from the Monument of Lost Lights for 150,000 Glimmer, 240 Spoils of Conquest, two Ascendent Shards, and one Exotic Cipher in Destiny 2. Guardians will need to own the Forsaken Expansion to purchase the weapon. Spoils of Conquest can be earned from opening a chest in any of the game’s Raids. These loot chests are earned after completing specific encounters in the activities.  Spoils of Conquest can also be found in several bonus chests hidden throughout the Raids. 240 is a large quantity to save up, but Anarchy is well worth the cost. One free Exotic Cipher can be earned every Season from the reward track. Additionally, completing a quest from Xur every weekend will reward more of this rare material. Ascendant Shards are rewarded from end-game activities. Master Rahool at The Tower will also convert 10 Enhancement Prisms.

Like most Exotic weapons in Destiny 2, Anarchy comes with set Perks: Quick Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, Moving Target, and Composite Stock. What makes the weapon so coveted by Guardians is the Intrinsic Trait, Arc Traps. This turns Anarchy’s grenades into mines that chain Arc bolts to other mines. The Arc Traps Trait turns the weapon into one of the best choices for both ADD clear and boss DPS. Simply shooting down Arc mines near a group of enemies can clear out a room. When facing a boss, the strategy is to fire two bolts, then switch to another weapon. This will constantly deal Arc damage to the enemy and can be replicated throughout the fight.

Anarchy is, without a doubt, one of the best Exotics for PvE in Destiny 2. What’s great about the weapon being in the Exotic Kiosk is that it is always available. Guardians have less than a month before Season 18, so they better start saving their Spoils of Conquest to take advantage of Arc 3.0.

Gameplay[edit]

Anarchy was a staple for raids and other challenging content for a very long time due to its high ease of use, strong ammo economy and capability of dealing high damage over time. This made it the strongest Exotic weapon and the strongest heavy weapon at taking down bosses, while also being a solid option for add clear. This became an issue, as many fireteams would refuse to run raids with players without Anarchy, but a large amount of Spoils of Conquest (which are obtained from raids) are required to purchase the weapon from the Monument to Lost Lights. This significantly narrowed accessibility to raiding for most people, with only seasoned raiders who already owned Anarchy, or people with close friends who play Destiny 2, being allowed to raid in a large amount of circumstances.

With the release of Season of the Lost, Anarchy was notably nerfed. It received a 30% damage reduction to bosses, as well as a large reduction in total ammo capacity; from 26 to 16. This nerf was significant enough to end Anarchy’s long reign, allowing for much more variety in heavy weapons to be used in raids and challenging content.

  • Arc Traps: Grenades stick to surfaces and chain Arc bolts to other mines.
  • Quick Launch: This weapon’s barrel provides faster projectiles and much faster aiming. Greatly increases handling speed. Increases projectile speed.
  • High-Velocity Rounds: This weapon’s projectiles are particularly light and quick. Increases projectile speed. Increases reload speed.
  • Moving Target: Increased movement speed and target acquisition when moving while aiming down sights.
  • Composite Stock: This weapon has a versatile dual-purpose stock. Slightly increases stability. Slightly increases handling speed.

«STICK TO WALL, GROUND, HUMAN… THEN FFFFFRRRRRYYYYY! HEHEHEHEHEHEHE.»—SIVIKS, LOST TO NONE

«You little rat. You took my warm hospitality and stomped all over it like an ungrateful child. Is that any way to treat one of your dear ‘brethren’?»

Siviks laughed. A cold, twisted laugh. Then offered up a large wad of spit at the Spider’s feet.

The Spider just rolled his eyes. «Let me know when you’re ready to make nice,» he said.

Siviks’ laugh now grew into something maniacal. He topped it off with another wad of spit, this time directly in the Spider’s face.

Once he’d wiped his brow, the Spider leaned forward, looking Siviks in the eyes, and said, «I think our little rat here needs a time out. Perhaps someplace with the rest of the vermin.»

The many hands of Spider’s men gripped and restrained Siviks. As they dragged him off, he shouted, «You… as bad as all Fallen! Worse, even! A friend even to humans… All must die!»

The Spider simply waved goodbye, taunting, «Bon voyage, my friend!»

Once Siviks had gone, the Spider looked longingly toward where he had stood. He sighed a deep, regretful sigh before continuing with business as usual.

  • Anarchy is one of only five weapons in Destiny 2 that deal damage over time. The other weapons are: Le Monarque, Osteo Striga, Thorn and Witherhoard. It is the only weapon to deal Arc damage over time, and the only heavy weapon to deal damage over time. Light.ggAnarchy

Destiny 2 is a game with a decent amount of weapons and different builds, which means that even the Anarchy grenade launcher has great alternatives.

One of the coolest things about Destiny 2 is that players can do whatever they want with their builds and gear, to the point that every time Bungie makes some major changes, the meta changes accordingly. Weapons aren’t the only variable when it comes to builds, and while exotic armor pieces do affect build efficiency, another very important factor to consider is mods. During the last season of Splicer Destiny 2 has seasonal mods like Breach, Clear and Energy Accelerant that are game changers in their own way.

Breach and Clear is especially good in both solo PVE and group play with Raids and Grandmaster Nightfall Strikes. This particular mod will most likely be used even in the upcoming Hard Mode for Vault of Glass. Of course, Breach and Clear calls for the use of a grenade launcher, and one of the most used and most effective of these is the Anarchy, which can now only be obtained by paying for it at the Lost Flames Monument in the Tower. Anarchy is the dominant weapon in meta Destiny 2 , and that was quite a while ago, even before Breach and Clear. While getting Anarchy is expensive or problematic, there are several powerful alternatives.

RELATED: Splicer’s Destiny Season 2: What Happens to Kuria, Osiris and Lakshmi and really easy to use. With its damage being solar and the Xenophage also dealing area damage, this machine gun is a great source of Warmind cells when combined with Wrath of Rasputin, which can go a long way in a very fast clear. The Xenophage is also good in other game modes such as Gambit and Solo GM Nightfalls and can be one of the best weapons to take down Oracles in the Glass Raid Sanctuary.

    Lament

Lament is an Exotic sword and is also one of the highest DPS weapons in Destiny 2 , especially when using its blade spin mechanic to unleash an extremely powerful combo on enemies. This sword also has an incredibly useful perk that allows its users to break the shields of barrier champions, which comes in very handy in solo runs of GM Nightfalls and Legend Lost Sectors. In terms of raiding, these weapons should only be used during encounters that don’t put the player at too much risk, because swords are still melee weapons.

    Crown Divider / Falling Guillotine

Speaking of swords, there are more weapons that can be used in the power weapon slot, and two of them are the Titan-exclusive sword Crown Divider and the Falling Guillotine. They are both AoE AoE weapons, and as such can be combined with Warmind Decree to create a Warmind Cell on kill. However, what makes these swords awesome is their amount of DPS: The Falling Guillotine can unleash a powerful AoE spin that hits very hard, but the Crown-Splitter can be even more devastating with its charged attack. Combined with Energy Accelerant, Crown-Splitter can deal incredible single-target damage, especially when buffed in other ways.

    Lasting Impression Rocket Launchers

A great way to improve the DPS on rocket launchers is to drop one with the perk introduced in Season 13: Lasting Impression. This weapon feature allows Rocket Launchers to fire a missile that attaches to enemies, dealing impact damage on impact, then explodes after a short time, dealing even more damage. Among the most popular Rocket Launchers that can use this perk, players should look for Hezen Vengeance, Royal Entry and Code Duello, perhaps pairing Lasting Impressions with Impulse Amplifier or Auto-Loading Holster for maximum effectiveness.

    Deathbringer (with catalyst)

Speaking of rocket launchers, the Deathbringer is an exotic weapon that can deal incredible damage, especially when combined with the mandatory catalyst. According to Eroar, Destiny 2 YouTuber and content creator, Deathbringer can reach up to 112k DPS with two missiles fired, which is about 90K for four missiles. This is still the best sustained DPS in the game. Players should also try to pair the Deathbringer with useful mods like the Rocket Launcher Loader (Seasonal Edition), which costs 1 Energy and speeds up the weapon reload process. Perhaps also Argent Ordnance (increased damage and reload speed) in combination with ways to get the Charged with Light buff.

    Power Grenade Launchers

While the Anarchy is a powerful grenade launcher in Destiny 2 , it’s also quite difficult to get for players who don’t raid regularly. However, because of Breach and Clear, it is quite difficult to abandon grenade launchers in general. So great alternatives include Berenger’s Memory, Crowd Pleaser or Interference 6, all driven in with Spike Grenades and Demolitionist, with the possible addition of Clown Cartridge or Auto-Loading Holster.

Spike grenades are an important skill due to their bonus damage, which is especially needed by powerful grenade launchers. Especially for Berenger’s Memory, which is the easiest to get from the group, but also the one with the smallest Radius. Soon, however, Bungie will also be making the old weapons from the Moon and the Dreaming City available again with a new set of updated perks, meaning Guardians should keep an eye on another grenade launcher called Love and Death, which was Sunset in the season. 12.

Destiny 2 is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
