Description

Hangars are huge aircraft storage facilities. They may be customized with several additions, similar to Underground Bunkers, Motorcycle Clubhouses and CEO Offices.

Go to foreclosures.maze-bank.com to purchase a Hangar. This property gives you access to aircraft storage and allows you to start your own Air-Freight Business as a VIP, CEO or MC President.

Hello there.
You ever think that something’s, like, missing from your life?
And I don’t mean just that your wife ran off, or that your best friend is too good for you.
Maybe it’s that you’re not running an air-freight operation out of your very own hangar.
Go to Maze Bank Foreclosures and get one and I’ll be in touch.

— Ron Jakowski’s introductory phone call

Hey, it’s Ron… Jakowski… from Sandy Shores…
Look, I’ve got an opportunity… don’t hang up… seriously… no, this is interesting…
What says interesting opportunity like endless blue skies?
If you buy a hangar on Maze Bank Foreclosures, we can build an air-freight business together… that’s right, finally we can earn some air miles that are worth something. Ha!

— Alternate call

Hey, uh, I can’t say too much, because they’re listening… but there’s more to those hangars on Maze Bank Foreclosures than you might realize.
You buy one, you buy me… well, I mean, you buy a partnership with me.
We’ll go in together on the air-freight business. Now, how’s that sound, huh?
Hello? Hello? You there? Oh goddammit! I hate cold calling.

— Alternate call

There are five hangars available to purchase from Maze Bank Foreclosures.

Once a hangar is purchased, an introduction cutscene is played upon first entry. The protagonist discovers two corpses near an unoccupied Cuban 800. Ron Jakowski, using an intercom speaker in the hangar, warns the player that he has a space weapon (Russian). The protagonist eventually finds him behind a stack of boxes, speaking through a microphone and watching through a small CCTV monitor. Ron gets scared of the protagonist, before realizing that it is his new partner. Ron describes how he is alone and was supposed to be protected forever by his best friend who has «gone Vinewood» on him. He thinks he has screwed up by shooting two (assumed) government agents in the head. Eventually, Charlie Reed, the mechanic, appears from a room of the hangar with a Burger Shot bag and a thermos flask in his hands, and he is briefly introduced by Ron and is immediately sent back to work. From there, Ron make a full tour of the hangar with the player, explaining how the facility works, showing the office, the living quarters (if purchased), the supply storage and the mechanic, who is able to modify aircraft. After the tour, both Ron and the player load the corpses into Ron’s plane, while he states he will be in touch with the player once they start the business after taking care of some radio work.

Functionality

The office provides the player with access to Free Trade Shipping Co to run their smuggling business. However the player can simply use the hangar and workshop to store and modify aircraft without undertaking any smuggling operations.

If the player has purchased a hangar at Fort Zancudo, then they receive low-level access pass clearance into the base, whereby they will be allowed to drive or fly into the base without incurring a wanted level. Additionally, all members of Organizations or Motorcycle Clubs will receive the clearance if the CEO or President owns a Zancudo hangar, though it will be revoked if the player leaves or are removed from the MC or Organization.

A complimentary Cuban 800 is supplied with every hangar.

Existing owned (Pegasus) aircraft can be converted to Personal Aircraft by ordering them from Pegasus and parking them in the hangar. They can then be personalized (resprayed).

Ownership of a hangar provides the player with an additional Interaction Menu option to call a personal aircraft from their hangar (floor or storage), in addition to any personal vehicle, CEO or MC Club vehicle or Pegasus vehicles they may already have active. Personal Aircraft deliveries are not instantaneous and are subject to mechanic delivery cool-downs. Personal Aircraft may spawn on open areas and different from Pegasus ones.

Personal Aircraft are automatically insured by Mors Mutual Insurance and when destroyed, can be claimed back, subject to a $1,000 deductible.

Storable Vehicles

Below is a list of every available aircraft that the player can store in their hangar. At the rear of the hangar is a Personal Aircraft Management menu, which can be used to move and display the aircraft on the floor of the hangar and move them to and from an unseen storage location.

Aircraft are classified as small, medium, large or extra large and this classification dictates how many can be stored on the floor of the hangar. There is on-floor capacity for twelve small, five medium, two large and one extra large aircraft, or various combinations of sizes (except for the extra large category). Attempting to bring in a new aircraft with no spare parking on the floor for that size will move it to storage immediately. Hangar capacity including the unseen storage facility is 20 total aircraft, regardless of their size.

The player cannot store stolen aircraft, CEO/VIP helicopters or aircraft provided in missions. In addition, the player cannot store the Thruster, the Sparrow or Avenger, as they belong to dedicated properties.

One of the best-selling aircrafts of all time, with the Cuban 800 you really are buying a piece of history, rusted rivets and all. This light engine plane might look like it was put together with one of those Krapea hex keys, but these bad boys were built to last. Plus for $32,000 you can’t exactly expect a cocktail bar and a stripper pole.

— Elitás Travel description.

Design

Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online

The Cuban 800 is mainly based on the Cessna 310, having a nearly identical fuselage, landing gear system, engine nacelles and wing tanks. However the tail and wings are slightly different. The wings are more similar to that of the Piper PA-30 Twin Comanche.

The plane is available in a white primary color with shades of silver or blue as secondary, blue with white and red with white. It is depicted with a small storage bay, but it can only be opened on the Arms Trafficking side missions. The text displaying its name can be seen on the rudder.

Performance

Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online

The Cuban 800 is powered by two piston engines, possibly on a flat-shaped configuration, given the small engine rooms, intakes and exhausts. If one engine fails, the Cuban 800 can still take off and fly safely on the other engine, at the cost of decreased airspeed and maneuverability, and a constant roll to the side of the failed engine which needs to be constantly corrected to prevent the aircraft from rolling over. However, it can only be flown on a single engine for a short time before the other one starts smoking and fails.

The weight of the plane severely affects performance — the nose, in particular, causes the plane to constantly pitch downwards in flight, and when flown upside down, the plane will lose altitude very quickly, nearly as much as a big plane, such the Jet. It is, however, highly reliable and can take quite a few beatings.

In other words, the Cuban 800 is suitable for leisurely flight, but where performance and maneuverability are essential, it is not the ideal aircraft.

  • Even with the bomb options available after the Smuggler’s Run update, the Cuban 800 may lack the necessary performance for efficient bombing runs, although it is still a great cheaper alternative compared to other expensive aircraft.

  • Nervous Ron — The main targets of both Trevor Philips and Ron Jakowski are Cuban 800’s loaded with weapons, which are stored on the hangars of Sandy Shores Airfield. Both manages to take the planes while fighting against Lost MC members. After delivering the stolen weapons to Oscar Guzman off the coast of Lago Zancudo, Trevor and Ron then race each other to McKenzie Field with the two Cuban 800’s.
  • Bury the Hatchet — While Michael takes a flight in Los Santos International Airpot to the State of North Yankton, Trevor goes to the Sandy Shores Airfield to take a stored Cuban 800 and flies to the same destination. • Will be provided for free with any hangar purchase. It is classed as a Small vehicle and is set with an all-blue color.
  • Spawns in the hangar after completing the gang attack at the Sandy Shores Airfield.

Trivia

General

  • The name is a likely reference to the Cuban Eight aerobatic flight figure-eight manoeuvre. It can also be a reference to the fact that small twin-engined planes such as this one are frequently used for smuggling drugs and other illegal merchandise in and around Cuba, Central America, and South America. This will explain its use in Arms Trafficking side missions.
  • The propellers on the plane are counter-rotating, in that they turn in opposite directions. This is quite unusual for General Aviation twin engine aircraft, since both propellers usually turn right.

Grand Theft Auto V

  • The Elitás Travel description of the plane states that the plane is worth $32,000. This contradicts with the actual price of the plane, which is $240,000. The most likely cause for this is that Rockstar Games believed the price was too low and forgot to change the description. This has been fixed in GTA Online.
  • Prior to the San Andreas Flight School Update, the Cuban 800 will be all black when purchased from Elitas Travel.

Grand Theft Auto Online

  • A Cuban 800 can be rarely found (locked) inside the Vapid Hangar at the McKenzie Airfield, in the red livery that Trevor uses for the Arms Trafficking side missions.

Bugs/Glitches

  • NPC pilots landing the Cuban 800 at Sandy Shores Airfield will walk into the spinning propellers upon exiting the vehicle, resulting in death.

Hangar in GTA 5 online

Delivery of goods by air is a promising line of business. But, as always in Los Santos, you need to be proactive, and buying a hangar is just the first step. Keep in mind that all other businessmen in the state will seek to get their hands on your product — or at least cause this product to burn before reaching its destination.

Where and how to buy a hangar0011 foreclosures.maze-bank.com

. There are five hangars in total. Three of them are located at a military base, two — at the airport in Los Santos.

You can buy only one hangar:

  • MALS, hangar A17 — $1,200,000;
  • MALS, hangar 1 — $1,525,000;
  • Fort Zancudo, hangar 3497 — $2,085,000;
  • Fort Zancudo, hangar 3499 — $2,650,000;
  • Fort Zancudo, hangar A2 — $3,250,000.

Despite the size of the hangars outside, inside they are the same everywhere. Hangars in the city are cheaper, but purchasing a hangar at a military base will give you limited access to military base . That is, you will be able to call on a military base without getting a wanted level.

After choosing a hangar location, you will be prompted to upgrade it. For an additional fee, you can customize the style of the hangar, lighting, floor markings, office furniture, living quarters, and equip it with a workshop.

Hangar features

After purchasing the hangar and any aircraft, you will be able to order air transport in the same way as personal, through the interaction menu. But you will not find that he will appear on the nearest road near you. It appears on a large open and, of course, flat terrain.

The Pegasus vehicle, which was brought to the hangar for the first time, becomes your personal one. This transport can also be modified, but only the coloring. Don’t worry — even after turning air transport into your personal one, it will still be available through Phone Contacts.

Destroyed aircraft, by you or another player, will cost you $1,000 to return to the hangar.

Delivery missions

You can choose from different types of goods: drugs, chemicals, medicines, trophies, antiques, jewelry, counterfeit goods, tobacco and alcohol. 1 person in the organization = 1 load, 1 load = $10,000.

You can collect 50 crates in total, this is both the capacity of your hangar and the maximum number for sale.

After the delivery of any of the goods, you will have to wait 5 minutes. If you constantly take on the same type of cargo, then you will receive a small bonus .

After a certain number of thefts, you will receive discounts on air transport. The number of thefts can be monitored through statistics. Only thefts are taken into account, not the number of boxes delivered to the hangar.

Smuggling missions are quite difficult for one person. 20 minutes are given for the delivery and sale of the cargo. If you want to start a delivery mission, it is recommended to bring another person with you, preferably a friend. Because you need teamwork.

You will be provided with the necessary transport for almost any task, so if you do not have any air transport with you, do not worry. You don’t care when buying a hangar they will give you a standard plane that you can fly on.

Cargo bonuses

The bonus is as follows: the more you deliver the same cargo to the hangar, the greater the bonus. That is, you will only need to deliver chemicals in order to receive a bonus. Alternating chemicals and trophies is not an option. The most profitable will be chemicals, medicines and drugs.

To get the maximum bonus for medicines (example), you need to bring all 50 boxes without changing the choice of cargo. After receiving one of the minimum bonuses, you can choose another type of cargo, while the bonus remains.

Cargo Sales Missions

Sales, of course, are only air sales, and there may also be a problem with enemies. Enemies are not present in all sales tasks. You can sell cargo of one type or all together, provided that a total of 50 boxes will come out. After starting the task, an air transport will appear next to the hangar, on which it will be necessary to deliver the cargo. After delivering the cargo, do not rush to get rid of the equipment — for its return you will receive additional experience.

What do we have as a result?

The cheapest hangar will cost you $1,200,000. To also have a mechanic, you will have to spend an additional $1,150,000.

The minimum (sane) sale of cargo starts from $500,000. That is, in order to recoup the “empty” hangar, you will have to sell 50 boxes of 3 full times. Upon completion of the sale, Ron takes a small share (2.5%). Although you get a discount on air transport after a certain amount of cargo delivered to the hangar, but the amount of them is still huge, and even more modifications will come out.

Engaging in a business related to the hangar, the most unprofitable and longest , among everything that is currently in the game (transport warehouse, goods warehouse, motorcycle club enterprises, bunker). Alternatively, you should buy a hangar only for the sake of air equipment.
