Confusing
Really wanted to like this but have no idea how it works. Only thing I figured out was you can scout talent and then hire them, but you can’t use them… idk… great idea, great UI, 0 direction or guidance.

Work less for the same salary. Belgians already have the right to a four-day week. Now the British are testing such a model. And what do they think about it in other countries — for example, in Germany?

Work for four days, rest for three days, spend time with your family — and all this, ideally, without loss of salary. Most employees would love this idea. Moreover, the proponents of the four-week work week promise not only increased satisfaction of people with their lives, but also higher labor productivity.
The UK has been conducting the world’s largest experiment since June. About seven dozen mostly small firms and more than three thousand employees are participating in the pilot project, which was initiated by the authors of the global campaign «4 Day Week Global». They are helping to promote the 32-hour workweek in different countries and, together with scientists from Cambridge, Oxford and Boston, are investigating the effectiveness of this model. nine0005
What other countries are thinking about implementing it, or maybe have already implemented it? DW has put together a few examples.
Belgium and Iceland: the short week is already a reality
In February 2022, Belgium introduced a four-day work week into law. Employees themselves are given the opportunity to decide whether to divide their working time into four or five days. According to Belgian Prime Minister Alexandre de Croo, this should make the economy more dynamic and improve the compatibility of work with family and personal life. However, with full employment, individual working days may be longer than before — the norm of 38 hours remains. nine0005
Iceland tried a similar scheme between 2015 and 2019 but reduced working hours from 40 to 35 hours with the same salary.

2,500 workers tested this model. The results of the experiment turned out to be promising: the well-being of employees improved significantly, work processes were optimized. And most importantly, labor productivity has remained the same or even increased. At the end of the test phase, the Icelandic trade unions agreed to reduce working hours on a permanent basis. As a result, about 86 percent of employees are now entitled to a four-day work week. nine0005
Scotland, Wales, Sweden: an expensive experiment
The Scottish government also decided to try this model. The companies participating in the experiment receive subsidies from the state in the amount of about 10 million pounds. This project is also being looked at in Wales. Commissioner for the Protection of the Interests of Future Generations Sophie Howe proposes to introduce a four-day work week at least for civil servants.
In Sweden, this mode of work was tested back in 2015, but the result was mixed. Even the Swedish left considered its implementation too expensive. However, individual firms have supported the idea of reducing working hours even earlier. For example, the automobile company Toyota reduced the number of shifts for mechanics about ten years ago, and they still work according to this scheme. nine0005
Finland: false report
Finland also briefly made headlines in the world media due to plans to drastically reduce working hours. According to press reports, this northern European country wanted to introduce both a four-day week and a six-hour workday. But this information turned out to be false and was refuted by the government of the country.
Spain: almost at the start
In Spain, at the request of the left-wing party Más País, they also want to try out a four-day work week. About 6,000 employees from 200 small and medium-sized enterprises will be able to extend their days off by one day without losing wages. The trial phase will take at least one year. It is not yet clear when it will start. By the way, Spain is also planning additional vacation days for women suffering from painful menstruation. In Europe, this is new. nine0005
Germany: Start-ups are daring
In Germany, according to a survey conducted by the Forsa Institute, 70 percent of Germans do not mind working only four days a week. And some unions are in favor of moving to 32 hours without a loss in salary. But so far, only small startups are venturing into such an experiment.
Four-day week: major employers in Germany are skeptical Photo: Rupert Oberhäuser/imago images week back in 2014 and sticks to it to this day. Startup founder and CEO Andreas Stückl declared Friday a non-working day. He told Business Insider online: «It didn’t hurt us. The company is growing and we’re successful. That speaks for itself.» Braineffect, a Berlin-based firm, offered this bonus to its employees last summer and was satisfied. However, a startup wants to use this model not constantly, but depending on the circumstances, so that it does not become a common practice. nine0005
Former Left Party co-chair Katja Kipping has proposed a shorter workweek throughout Germany during the pandemic, noting that it makes employees «happier, healthier and more productive.» But in the Institute for German Economics in Cologne (IW), which is close to employers, such an idea was received with hostility.
Labor market expert Holger Schäfer believes that reduced working hours lead to lower production and, as a result, lower tax revenues. “Therefore, this proposal is harmful,” he stressed in an interview with Business Insider. According to him, those who want to work less can agree on this with their employers. Especially since there is already a legal right to part-time work in Germany. nine0005

Violation of contractual obligations with an increase in insurance risk and their consequences
You, as the policyholder/customer, are obligated to fulfill various contractual obligations before and upon the occurrence of an insured event. Indicate the aggravating circumstances of the insured risk (for example: a disco club opens in your commercial property on the ground floor). The terms and conditions of the insurance contract unambiguously regulate these obligations. Often the client is not always aware of his obligations, thereby violating them. But this is bad for the insured, because […]
