Lost ark west release: Lost Ark Celebrates Western Release With New Trailer

Lost Ark Celebrates Western Release With New Trailer

By
Lara Jackson

Lost Ark has celebrated its official Western release date on February 11, showcasing a new trailer showing off some of the game in action.

In celebration of the Western release of Lost Ark, the game has received a new and explosive trailer showcasing some of what players will discover when delving into the game for the first time. The latest release from publisher Amazon Games has already proven a success even before its full Western launch, with Lost Ark hitting 500,000 concurrent Steam players ahead of its release date.

Originally released in Korea in 2019, Lost Ark‘s North American and European launch has been eagerly awaited by many. The game takes place in the fictional world of Arkesia, and tasks users with finding the Ark, which has the power to seal away demonic armies. Some fans already got the chance to go hands-on with the game thanks to a November 2021 beta, which helped to secure a number of players who’ve since been patiently waiting to get back into the title. Lost Ark‘s pre-launch success and high Steam player count comes thanks to early access granted with the Founders Edition pre-orders, giving fans a few additional days of play ahead of today, February 11, the official full release date for Lost Ark in the West.

Celebrating its Western release, Lost Ark has released a new accolades trailer enticing players into the world of Arkesia. The trailer highlights some of the free-to-play game’s world design, story, and MMORPG gameplay fans will now be able to experience, giving a taste of the high-octane action and combat contained within the fantasy game. It also cites several of the positive reviews Lost Ark earned before its release. The developer has also announced a partnership with Prime Gaming, which is set to offer exclusive in-game content to Prime members, beginning later this month. The goodies will include a Battle Pack Item with a Crystalline Aura, Amethyst Shard Pack, and Battle Chest Bundle.

Judging by Lost Ark‘s success on platforms like Twitch, it seems as though Amazon Games might finally have a hit on its hands. The publisher has previously struggled to break into the gaming sphere, with games like 2020’s Crucible being canceled just months after it launched, and newer releases such as New World seeing a quick decline in player numbers, despite its impressive start. Only time will tell if Lost Ark proves to be a success in the West for developer Smilegate and publisher Amazon Games, but with a solid foundation elsewhere in the world, and a growing fanbase in the West, it’s looking very possible.

Despite only having launched today, Lost Ark‘s Steam reviews are already looking impressive, with the game currently standing at a rating of «Overwhelmingly Positive. » The new and exciting launch trailer is only set to improve the game’s reception among fans, while also encouraging others to test out its gameplay and new realms. Those interested in playing Lost Ark can find it on Steam from today.

Lost Ark Academy — Reaper — News | Lost Ark

100 KB

Heroes of Arkesia,
On November 16, the Reaper Advanced Class will arrive in Arkesia. Reapers are true Assassins, and masters of stealth. From powerful back-attacks inflicted by their daggers to misleading opponents by vanishing and summoning clones, Reapers have a variety of tools at their disposal to vanquish whatever threat crosses their path.

88 KB

The Reaper will join the Deathblade and Shadowhunter as the third Assassin Advanced Class. In this Lost Ark Academy, you’ll find information to see if the Reaper is the class for you— and if so, help you start planning the skills and engravings you’re interested in using to enhance your impact on the battlefield. Before we dive into what the class is all about, here’s a note from Reaper expert Grenton on why the Reaper is his favorite class:

“Reaper was the first class that I picked up when I started playing Lost Ark about a year and a half ago. Even with the game releasing in the West I still regularly played my Reapers. The class is very unique in the way it moves and deals damage. It has the best sound design out of any class I’ve played and constantly keeps you on your toes. If you’re looking for a fast-paced and rewarding class to play, you found her. She’s the Reaper!”

Key Mechanics & Class Identity

The Reaper’s Class Identity is built around three Modes; Normal Mode, Persona Mode, and Chaos Mode.

Normal Mode

90 KB

While in Normal Mode, the Persona Meter fills up over time and each time a skill hits the target. When the Persona Meter is full, you can enter Persona Mode by pressing Z. The Chaos Meter increases upon every successful Dagger Skill and Shadow Skill hit while the Persona Meter is full. When the Persona Meter is full, enter Chaos Mode by filling up the Chaos Meter through continuously using Dagger and Shadow skills without pressing Z.

Persona Mode

80 KB

Summon a Shadow Illusion, become stealthy, and the gauge starts decreasing. The Shadow Illusion remains until you attack. You remain stealthy even if you use Movement or Stand Up skills while in stealth. In Persona Mode, Move Speed +30%, and you become stealthy, but are exposed to hostile adventurers within 4m. In Persona Mode, Swoop Skills Damage is increased by 25%, and the effect can be stacked up to 5 times depending on the duration of the Persona Mode. When you attack or the gauge is exhausted, you return to Normal Mode.

Chaos Mode

102 KB

Crit Rate +15%. Move Speed +10%. Atk. Speed +10%. Chaos Mode initially lasts for 9s. If your Dagger Skills continuously hits a foe or if you use a Shadow Skill, the duration of Chaos Mode will be reset to 9s. At the end of Chaos Mode, the Chaos Meter gets reset and reverts back to a full Persona Meter.

Class Engravings

Like other Advanced Classes, the Reaper has two unique Class Engravings that enhance different aspects of the class. The Hunger Class Engraving is focused around generating more Chaos Meter and dealing even more damage while in Chaos Mode. Lunar Voice is focused on landing huge Swoop attacks while in Persona Mode, granting immediate damage increases to Swoop instead of requiring stacks to be generated.

Hunger
  • Level 1 — Chaos Meter +30%. Atk. Power +12% when the Chaos Meter is full.

  • Level 2 — Chaos Meter +30%. Atk. Power +18% when the Chaos Meter is full.

  • Level 3 — Chaos Meter +30%. Atk. Power +25% when the Chaos Meter is full.

Lunar Voice
  • Level 1 — Swoop Damage +120% instead of the Swoop Enhancement effect that stacks every 1s upon switching to Persona Mode.

  • Level 2 — Swoop Damage +140% instead of the Swoop Enhancement effect that stacks every 1s upon switching to Persona Mode.

  • Level 3 — Swoop Damage +160% instead of the Swoop Enhancement effect that stacks every 1s upon switching to Persona Mode.

Skills

The Reaper has three Skill categories; Dagger, Shadow, and Swoop skills. Dagger and Shadow skills are used to charge up Persona and Chaos Modes, and Swoop skills are heavily amplified by Persona— allowing the Reaper to unleash devastating attacks.

  • Nightmare — Throw a dagger at the target location to inflict Damage. Use the skill again and teleport behind the hit target if there is no obstacle between you and the foe. Move Speed +10% for 2s after teleportation.

  • Shadow Trap — Summon a shadow trap at your current position, then move 6 meters backward, detonating a shadow that inflicts Damage to foes within a 3-meter radius, stunning them for 2s.

Swoop Skills

107 KB

  • Glowing Brand — Vanish in the air and move up to 8 meters toward the target location before striking down, inflicting Damage and launching foes airborne.

  • Rage Spear — Gather red shadow energy and thrust forward to inflict Damage and paralyze foes within an 8 meter radius.

  • Dance of Fury — Gather red shadow energy to quickly move forward, inflicting Damage. Inflict additional Damage to airborne foes. Perform another slash for Damage as you return to your position.

  • Silent Rage — Jump 3 meters backward and gather dark energy to shoot yourself forward, slashing foes for Damage and knocking them down as you move. Ignore collisions with adventurers and Normal monsters while moving.

Awakening Skills
  • Lunar Eclipse: Cadenza — Focus all shadow and lunar energy to summon a giant shadow area that inflicts Damage to nearby foes, pulling them close. The shadow clone jumps through foes, inflicting Damage, before creating a massive explosion that launches foes in the air for Damage.

  • Solar Eclipse: Requiem — Focus your mind and blend into the shadows for 4s. Use the skill again to sneak up to your foe in the shadows and deliver 3 strikes to inflict Damage, launching your foe in the air with the last strike. Become Stealthed again for 4s upon each strike, and you can still attack foes while you are not. Ignore collisions with adventurers and Guardians during skill use.

Looking Ahead

94 KB

In next week’s update, the Reaper will release with two progression events, a Punika Powerpass and a Hyper Express Event that helps accelerate a character from Item Level 1302 to 1445.

Players will receive a Punika Powerpass after completing Punika’s quest “Berver’s Friend” during (or before) the event period. The Punika Powerpass will function like the North Vern Powerpasses available to players in the launch version of Lost Ark— once you’ve completed the storyline through that continent, you can use it to bring an alternate character to that point in the game. With the Punika Powerpass, you’ll receive Item Level 1302 gear.

Players will be able to designate one character between item Level 1302 and 1445 on their roster to participate in the Hyper Express Event, where they’ll earn honing materials, and level up quickly to Item Level 1445. The designated character will earn rewards from missions when increasing their Item Level to 1445— which grants a particularly valuable reward.

Stay tuned to PlayLostArk.com and our social media channels for the full list of updates in next week’s Release Notes (and some more Reaper tips from Grenton)! Until then, we’ll see you in Arkesia.

Quick Links

  • Bergstrom’s Miracle
  • Liquid boost soup
  • Cykin Combat Ration Type A
  • Cykin Combat Ration Type C
  • Skiptrumpan 3 mg
  • Unknown liquid XD-6353
  • X-090892

There aren’t many crafts in the game to do it. Lost Ark . But that doesn’t mean finding Cooking Ingredients is irrelevant. There are some meals that you can create to improve your performance. But mostly the ingredients are used to help complete your Adventurer’s Book for each continent. The ingredients for Artetinian recipes are a real bag. Luckily, none of them are ridiculously expensive or require a lot of luck to get all the necessary parts. But you’ll have to gather ingredients in two dungeons, look for the elusive Wandering Trader, and buy crystals from a complicated menu that’s easy to make mistakes. Below we will go through a list of clues and locations. nine0003

Bergstrom’s Miracle

You will need access to Dr. Bergstrom’s Laboratory in Totrich’s Dungeon before you can complete this recipe. Once inside (on any difficulty level), you will immediately see a large apparatus on your right with a pair of large test tubes. . On its south side, you will see a mococo seed, and opposite it, on the other side, you will find Bergstrom’s Yellow Potion .

Continue through the dungeon by following the quest. You’ll make a loop around the east side that will take you back to your starting point and then head northwest. Now you have to make a similar loop in the northern part of the dungeon, through the Biology Lab and the Energy Core room. Just before you enter the Power Core, there is an unnamed room. When you enter it from the north, you will see you will see some shelving on the southeast side with papers on the top shelf and gears on the shelf below. . Explore this location to find Bergstrom’s Invisibility Potion . With both potions in your inventory, go to the Robot Chef near Neria’s Tavern in the Stern’s Sources area. In exchange for both potions, as well as 1,700 silver coins , the culinary master will prepare for you Bergstrom’s Drink that you need. Once you get it, you just need to right-click on it in your inventory to add it to your adventure book. nine0003

Strength Liquid Soup

You need to buy «Adrenaline Boosting Liquid» which costs 777 silver coins from Wandering Trader Nox . As is the case with all wandering traders in Lost Ark, you need to get the timing right to meet him. He will be in the following locations at the specified time, and he will be in each location for 25 minutes (note that the times are for both morning and evening in your server’s timezone):

  • Scraplands (near Triport guard post): 12:30
  • Nebelhorn (near the triport of the Nebelhorn laboratory): 2:30
  • Windbringer Hills (next to Guard Post Triport): 5:30 AM
  • Totrich (next to Zavodnaya Square triport): 6:30 am
  • Ryza Falls (next to Whirlpool Observatory Triport): 8:30 am
  • Dry trail (next to Port Lupine Triport): 9:30 am

You’ll know you’ve arrived at the right time, as Knox will be easy to spot on the map when you arrive at the triport (he will appear as a gray icon that looks like a wheel). Once you get an adrenaline-boosting fluid, Take it to the cook at Neria’s tavern in Stern. The robot will turn it into Booster liquid soup for 1400 silver coins .

Cykin Combat Ration Type A

Travel to the Market District Triport in Origins of Stern and head north to Neriah’s Tavern. Just to the left of the tavern entrance, you will find the cooking ingredient Merchant Raspberry . She only sells one item — Cykin Combat Ration Type A — for 30,000 silver coins . Buy it and right click to add it to your Adventurer’s Tome.

Cykin Combat Ration Type C

Go to the Guard Triport in Scraplands. Head west into the camp past the repairman and climb up to its northwest corner. Above the place where the Ernst regulator stands, you will see a tall metal canister. . Hidden behind it is a bag containing the first ingredient you need — ‘ Vacuum Dried X-3 Powder ‘.

Now head east from the guard relay camp towards the hoverboard test site. Keep to the left side of the path. Just before the entrance to the landfill, you will see three large metal cylinders near the fence. There is a bag next to the cylinder, which is not in an oblong frame. . Explore this bag to find the ‘ Vacuum Dried Powder X-1 ’ you need. With both ingredients in your inventory, return to the Cooking Master in Origins of Stern, who is outside Neriya’s Tavern. Robot chef will create Cykin Combat Ration Type C you need for 900 silver coins .

Skiptrumpan 3mg

To complete this recipe, you need to collect the ingredient on the first floor of dungeon dungeon Heart of the Scepter . So if you don’t have access yet, you’ll have to continue with the main story quest until you get it. Once in the dungeon, you need to go past the first elevator to the area with dangerous spinning discs . Walk a little past them, as you will be attacked by several mercenaries. It is best to deal with them first, and then look for the right ingredient. Now look back to discs . On either side of the path is a car that throws them out. Despite having health bars, these vehicles cannot be damaged or defeated. Past the one on the south side of the gangway, , you will see some notes on the floor at the corner of the railing. . Examine them to get Scepter Recipe ingredient. If you stand in the right spot, all the discs will keep overshooting you — so take your time. Once you have the recipe, you can return to Origins of Stern and visit Cook, who is located next to Nehria’s Tavern in the Market District. You don’t have to complete the dungeon if you have the recipe. The master of cooking will prepare ready-made 9 for you0035 Skiptrumpan 3 mg for 1400 silver coins .

Unknown Liquid XD-6353

You will need good eyesight to complete this task. First go to Cooking Robot which is located on the platform by Neriya’s Tavern in the Origins of Stern Market District. Start a dialogue with him and you will see the craft menu. Scroll down until you see the item Boiling Liquid ’ and select it. This will show you 22 ingredients required for the preparation of the liquid. The upside is that the robot chef sells all those ingredients. But on the other hand, it has many ingredients that have very similar names to — so you need to be very careful when buying. Each ingredient will also cost you ‘ Unknown Crystal ’. They can be purchased from Deberry Culinary Ingredients Merchant who is to the right of the door to Neriya’s tavern. Crystals cost 70 silver coins each. Buy the crystals from Deberry, use them to buy the right ingredients from the cook, and then give them to the cook to make you a «Boiling Liquid» (for additional 1,700 silver ).
