Change object stats.
Go into the folder on your C drive, containing the game. There’s a file called C3_model.txt. Go into it. The numbers for, for example »statue one», are {the price, desirability, and some other junk that I can’t quie figure out. If you make the price number »-», then you get cash from building the object. DES is the same, but it rases desirability.

Cheats – Caesar 3 Heaven
Lets divide this section into two.
The first part is more trick than cheat related, the tricks don’t directly influence the result of the game. The second part contains the actual cheats and easter eggs inside the game, that do influence the outcome.

Swapping movies around
A little bit of harmless fun, especially when done on a friends computer, can be done by swapping movie files around. How is this done? Well, just follow this simple example where we swap the “army victorious” and the “city on fire” movies.
- Browse into your Caesar 3 folder and open the one labeled “smk”
- Find the file named “armywin.smk”
- Rename this file to “armywin.tmp” (ignore messes telling you this might cause windows to not know what to do with this file anymore.
- Find the file named “cityfire.smk”
- Rename this file to “armywin.smk”
- Go back to the “armywin.tmp” file and rename it to “cityfire.smk”
The next time you (or your friend) starts up Caesar and a house catches fire the program will show the victorious army movie and the other way around.
Swapping (or Replacing) Sounds
Of course the same can be done with all the wave files (*.wav)
Cheats
Next is a collection of cheats and a few tricks to make your lif a little (or a lot) easier when playing Caesar III.
The Barrack Cheat
The computer won’t recognize the existence of your barracks until it has employees. This means you can create as many as you want, until one of them gets an employee, which can be easily prevented by not connecting the barracks to the road grid.
This is very useful if you’re recruiting troops for more than one legion at a time.
Faster Academy-Training For Troops
Train a legion of javelin troops until they’re two or three troopers short. Next build a fort for a legion of heavy infantry. Providing troops for this fort will take priority over the javelin troops (if you have stocked enough weapons). Train them until your two troopers short.
Now build your military academy. The last troopers in each legion will bring them up to full Academy-trained status ? without running each of the 32 men through the Academy individually
Note: This also works when you build an academy after having received losses and are re-supplying the forts with troops.
Instant Victory
To use this cheat you have to have a well somewhere on your map.
- Enable cheats by clicking on a well (bringing up its short description) and pressing ALT-K.
- Press ALT-V and you will have won the level.
Undiscovered Resources
Remember those immigrant entry and emigrant exit markers?
Well, I’ve been reliably informed that you can use them to mine for iron and marble. Just put your mines next to them and start digging.
Unlimited Funds
To use this cheat you have to have a well somewhere on your map.
- Enable cheats by clicking on a well (bringing up its short description) and pressing ALT-K.
- Press ALT-C and you will get a 1000 denarii.
Note: This can’t get more than 5000 denarii this way. If you already have more than 5000 denarii, it will not work.
Trigger Invasion
To use this cheat you have to have a well somewhere on your map.
- Enable cheats by clicking on a well (bringing up its short description) and pressing ALT-K.
- Click on the button (in the well’s short description) with the question mark (“?”).
- When the well’s long information window shows, press ALT-K one or more times.
- When you close the window you will be immediately attacked.
The invading force is proportionate to the number of times you press ALT-K in step 3.
CAESAR III — CODES AND CHEATS
To enable the mode of cheat codes, right-click on
wall and press Alt+K. Then use the following codes:
Alt+V — instant win
Alt + C — get more money (valid if you have
less than 5000 Dn)

Receive money
Use this cheat when you get the opportunity to enter
to the Senate. Click on the Emperor badge in the Senate. Install
a salary of 500 Dn. After a few months
when you have accumulated about 3000 Dn, enter the same menu and
click on the «Give to city» button. Then select «All» in
dialog and click the «give» button. Please note that
you have no money.
Press the «Give to city» button again. Not
press the «All» button. Just press the «give» button and you
get money. Repeat this as many times as needed. Not
be afraid to exit the senate screen, you will be able to return and
repeat everything again.
In the Caesar 3 directory, find the c3_model.txt file. Open
this file and look for the word dig. In the first line change
number on v1000. Now every time you tear down
building, you will be added 1000 Dn.
Money cheat 1
In c3_model.txt file. Next to the name of one of the buildings, change the number to a negative number, for example, 1000 to -1000. Now the money from the construction of this building will go to the fund of YOUR city.
Money Cheat 2
Use this cheat when you get the option to enter the Senate.
Click the Emperor icon in the Senate. Give yourself a salary of 500 Denari (Caesar’s salary). After a few months, when you receive money, approximately 3000 denari, go to the same screen and press «give to the city» and give everything.
Press «give the city» two more times and your money will have negative numbers. Repeat this and you will have prosperity. You can turn off the senate screen, and come back to it later to give yourself more money.
Chit 2
When you open c3_model.txt you will find all the values for items in the game. There are some commands included within the file, but not all commands are there. The first section called «All Buildings» is the one where you can change price, desirability, desired number of such buildings, quantity desirability. In size, maximum desirability, how many people the building uses, and future expansion.

Pay attention only to values within
12 is price, 3 is desirability, and so on to get the best result . According to this, you will have to spend 12 denari to build a garden. Change this number to negative, and then your city will spend on building!
For example:

Another thing you can do is change the second number to a higher number (possibly harmful results).
The commands are on the txt file. The second part of this file is called «All Houses». There are also errors in the names of the values. For example:

Pay attention to the numbers after { Assign each character in the primary code ( In most cases, a lower number, having less demand for that house item should develop. The smallest number should be zero
A. Desirability Rate, in which the house will give. (-99 — The lowest I have tried, when at that rate, you can form a house next to anything and it will develop.
Raising the number to the power will make the house a more desirable placement.
B. Desirability Rate at which the house will develop.
The lowest I have tried is -99. This will make it require numbers above
-99 to evolve.
C. The higher the number, the better the house.
D. Water supply
E. Religion, lower number = less number of given religion.
F. Education
G. Anti-development. When this value is set to 1, that house can pass. When this is set to 0, the house cannot transmit.
H. Barbarian
I. War
J. Health building requests (eg Doctor, Hospital)
K. Food Product Access.
L. Ceramic
M. Oil
N. Furniture
O. Wine
S. Number of people to occupy this building.
If you go to rich neighborhoods, the hard way they don’t like to go is really bad. People turn into losers, do not produce food, rebel and barbarians appear. To prevent this from happening, you need to make convenient roads and make buildings away from each other.
Hint
Place the barracks so that it is not connected to the city by roads and is not accessible to workers.
