It’s the 29° GTA V mission in chronological order, and it takes place in Los Santos.
This is a Heist Setup mission that is played depending on the approach selected for
The Merryweather Heist (Offshore).

Gold Medal Objectives (100%)
The following are the Mission Objectives required to obtain the Gold Medal in the mission «Cargobob»:
- Time: Complete within 05:30.
- Once in the Cargobob, flee towards Sandy Shore.
Note: You can complete each Gold Medal requirement in multiple playthroughs of the mission. You don’t need to obtain them all in one single playthrough.
Cargobob — Mission Details:
Trevor receives a message from Wade. He tells him the best place to get the type of chopper he is after is Fort Zancudo. Trevor heads to the military base. He can either sneak in or drive straight in. Regardless, Trevor will gain a four-star wanted level.
The Cargobob is just off the runway on a helicopter pad. Trevor gets into the chopper and flies away from the base. Once the heat has died down, Trevor takes the chopper to the hangar at Sandy Shores Airfield.

Way to unlock: You need to complete Main mission 30 (Scouting the Port) and, towards its end, decide for the Offshore attacks.
After you receive a text message from Wade, there will appear the Hs symbol on the world map, which marks the place where you can find the military cargo helicopter.
Playable characters: Trevor
Additional information: To steal the helicopter is not easy, because it is located in the military base and, after you walk into the base, a four-star pursuit will start. What is even more, onboard the chopper, you will have to pay attention to the AA defense and the enemy combat helicopter.
Mission 33 — Cargobob full walkthrough
One of the entrances to the base
The chopper that you are looking for is at Fort Zacundo located in the North-East portion of the map. If you want to get there by a vehicle, it is best to drive up there from the Northern side and cut through the security gate. On your way to the helicopter pad, you will, obviously have to avoid soldiers or shoot at them.
It is a way better idea to make it over to the base on a regular chopper and, to do that, you need to visit the airports seized by Trevor, located to the South-West of the Sandy Shores.
After you get there, get aboard the chopper shown in the screenshot (Frogger). Try to maintain low altitude while flying and, right after you get over the military base, land the helicopter as close to the cargo helicopter as possible. Thanks to this you will not be taken down by the AA Crew.
Use the fury to make it easier to kill the soldiers
Regardless of the variant, I recommend that you use Trevor’s special skill combined, with a good weapon, to eliminate all of the enemies near the military chopper (Cargobob) and only then take a seat aboard.
The landing field
Take off as soon as possible and fly towards the airport mentioned above, i.e. to the South-East. There will be another military chopper that will chase after Trevor but, if you do not slow down for anything, you should not get hit (you can also increase your chances by maintaining a low altitude and by using, to your advantage, the nearby hills to hide behind). After you reach the landing field, land the helicopter in the marked area.

Requirements for the completion of the mission in 100%:
- Mission Time — You need to complete this mission within 5 minutes and 30 seconds. It is quite a lot and if you hurry, you will easily do with a half of this limit.

Cargobob is a mixture of real Sikorsky MH-53 Pave Low and Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopters. Despite the fact that the helicopter has an open rear hatch, it is impossible to get there. It flies very slowly.

The question is absolutely appropriate and fair. Everyone is free to choose one of the available ways:

- Steal from the military base.
- Online — at the airport and other locations (at the end of the article).
Let’s dwell on each of these methods in more detail. It is worth noting that the cargo helicopter can appear and disappear randomly in these places and its presence is not guaranteed. For example, at a military base, if he flies around (patrols), then most likely you will not find him on the ground.
Buying a cargo helicopter in GTA 5
One of the easiest ways to get a helicopter with a hook, or the so-called cargo Cargobob — buy on the in-game portal Warstock Cache & Carry 902. The issue price is 2 million 200 thousand dollars. Hijacking a cargo helicopter in GTA 5
Hijacking a helicopter from the military will bring much more fun than a static purchase for currency. Wherever in the world GTA 5 you can find the helicopter Cargobob you will have to go to Fort Zancudo. This is a heavily guarded military base located in the east of the map.
The fort itself is not displayed on the map. To find it, you need to choose Mount Josiah and the bay of the same name with the fort as a guide. As soon as you cross the border, which is the barrier, the enchanting scene of the massacre will begin.

The best option is to drive a car (which is better to equip with an armored hull, as well as strengthen the wheels in one of the San Andreas car services) right through to the location of the vehicle we need, or you need to, having previously hijacked the plane and enlisting a parachute, parachute into the fort. As soon as you get to the turntable — soar into the air and fly away.

Where to find a helicopter in GTA Online

There are several locations where helicopters appear absolutely randomly — thus, waiting for a helicopter, you will get a «pig in a poke».
- The roof of a hospital in South Los Santos. You can get there by stairs, which is located at the entrance to the parking lot.
- In the car park by the bay, close to Vespucci beach.
- If you are unlucky and there is no turntable on the second spawn, then you should go to the airport, there is a platform for helicopters opposite the hangar.
- On top of the research building in the Palomino Highlands.
- And, of course, there is a helicopter at Sandy Shores Airport.
What can be hooked with a helicopter hook
After the above actions, when the helicopter with the hook is already at your disposal, you can safely fly out to hunt, if you can call it that. In order for the hook to appear, just press the «E» button on the keyboard or on the gamepad. Hovering over the load you want to pick up, try to make the hook touch the roof of the object. Further, no action needs to be taken — the load will pick up by itself.
