Der YouTuber und Streamer IShowSpeed hat mit einem WM-Song „World Cup“ einen Hype ausgelöst und ist einer der wenigen, der sich auf das Turnier freut.

Doha, Katar — In genau zwei Wochen startet die WM 2022 in Katar. Noch nie war eine Fußballweltmeisterschaft so umstritten wie diese. Personen des öffentlichen Lebens halten sich bewusst zurück und versuchen keine positive Publicity für die WM in Katar zu erzeugen. Der YouTuber und Streamer IShowSpeed ist da die Ausnahme. Mit seinem Song „World Cup“ löst er einen Hype aus.

YouTuber veröffentlicht WM-Song: Waka Waka oder Wavin Flag sind unvergessliche WM-Hymnen. Über die Jahre nahm die Qualität der Lieder jedoch immer weiter ab. Für die WM 2022 hat nun der YouTuber und Streamer IShowSpeed mit dem einfachen Namen „World Cup“ veröffentlicht.

Nach nur zwei Tagen konnte das Musikvideo bereits 7 Millionen Klicks generieren. Die Bewertungen zum Song sind dabei überaus positiv. Der junge Amerikaner hat bislang nur wenig Konkurrenz, was WM-Songs für Katar angeht. Vor 7 Monaten veröffentlichte die FIFA ihren offiziellen Song zum Turnier namens „Hayya Hayya“, welcher jedoch übermäßig viele Dislikes auf YouTube erhielt.

IShowSpeed: Liebesgeständnis an Cristiano Ronaldo aber keine Kritik an Katar – Das ist der Inhalt des Songs

Inhalt des WM-Songs: Im WM-Song von IShowSpeed geht es eigentlich nur darum, dass Portugal und Cristiano Ronaldo das Turnier in Katar gewinnen werden. Dabei redet der erst 17-Jährige immer wieder Spieler wie Neymar oder Lionel Messi herunter und pusht seinen Lieblingsspieler Ronaldo. In FIFA 23 wird es einen kostenlosen WM-Modus geben.

Im Song selbst wird keinerlei Kritik an Katar geäußert. Diese wäre durchaus angebracht gewesen. Das Gastgeberland muss laut Amnesty International auf rund 6.500 verstorbene Gastarbeiter blicken, welche während der Bauarbeiten an Stadien unter niedrigen Bedingungen ihr Leben ließen. Auch Twitch Streamer OrangeMorange wusste nichts von den Menschenrechtsverletzungen bei der WM 2022.
