Either complete Real Survival mode or complete the game on the ‘Normal’ or ‘Hard’ difficulty setting with both Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine to unlock Invisible Enemy mode where ALL the enemies are invisible.

When you complete the game without using any saves this fully automatic weapon which is similar to the Uzi will become unlocked with unlimited ammunition.

Beat the game on Normal mode or harder in under 5 hours to unlock this custom made version of the 9mm Beretta 92F created for Special Tactics and Rescue Service, aka S.T.A.R.S.

When you have beaten the game once on any difficulty setting the Closet Key which is used to unlock the door to the costume closet on the first floor of the Spencer Mansion will become unlocked. Inside the closet you can change Chris or Jill’s clothes after beating the game a specific amount of times.

To unlock Once Again… Mode you must first complete the game with Jill or Chris and save the game. When you accomplish this a new background will appear on the ‘Main’ menu and ‘Once Again’ will be an available option where you will be able to choose new difficulty settings for the replay. You will also be given a key that will enable the character that completed the game to have a new costume which can be found in the room with the large mirror on the second floor of the mansion.

A message (below) will appear on screen from Shinji Mikami who is the game director and Resident Evil creator when you beat Invisible mode in less than 5 hours. You will also open up a slideshow of unused costume designs.

In Real Survivor mode you will discover that ALL the item crates are not linked. This feature becomes unlocked when you complete the game under the Normal difficulty setting.

You can save ammunition as Chris when fighting Plant 42 by using the combat knife. It only takes about a dozen hits with the knife to kill it.

If you pick up the broken shotgun and leave the room without trying to use it Barry will appear and save you.

The following only works on the Easy difficulty setting. To hear a secret message from Tofu at the end of the game when you have to enter the passwords into the computer in the Laboratory enter the password ‘MOLE’ (without the quotes).

In One Dangerous Zombie mode, zombie Forest Speyer will have grenades on his vest which will explode and end the game if you shoot him. To unlock this feature you must complete the game with both Chris and Jill under the normal or higher difficulty setting on the same saved game file.

Beat the game or Normal mode or harder in under 3 hours to unlock the M202A1 FLASH rocket launcher. This shoulder-fired weapon fires 66mm M74 incendiary-loaded rockets or M72 anti-tank rockets that are loaded from four-rocket clips.

Complete the following tasks to unlock the corresponding game mode.
Invisible Enemy Mode:
Complete Real Survival mode once.
One Dangerous Zombie Mode:
Complete the game once each with both Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine.
Real Survival Mode:
Beat Once Again mode on the Normal difficulty setting or higher.

Reviewed the first Resident Evil (1) and was very pleased. I like this film, although I understand that it is trash, chewing gum for the brain (2).

The first part is much simpler and cheaper than the rest, and this is its beauty. The techniques used are understandable and uncomplicated — no over-the-top special effects, graphics and complex costumes or puppets, most of the suspense is pumped up by music or its sudden absence, mixed with imaginary and real dangers appearing from behind the edge of the frame, then from some part of the scenery — irritants. Those special effects that exist, such as a corridor with lasers, are elementary and cheap to perform, but they look, at the same time, according to the film itself, do not stand out, create an atmosphere. The plot, although banal (3), is good, contagious, even intrigue is half the film. You sit to yourself and wonder: is Milka good, or is she a misanthropic villain. nine0003

If you are going to watch a movie, and English is close and native to you, then I strongly recommend that you get hold of a soundtrack with comments by Anderson, Bolt, Jovovich and Rodriguez in addition to the movie. The actresses have fun in every possible way, and the director and producer tell how they rolled a Doberman in spaghetti bolognese to make him look like a zombie dog.

Since the mid-90s, Hollywood has taken a gradual course towards the development of popular computer games in order to conquer a new audience among the gaming environment. The first successful film adaptation of the cult game was «Mortal Kombat» 1995 years old, filmed by the then little-known English director Paul Anderson, and in 2002 the same Anderson took up the transfer to the cinematic format of an even more iconic computer toy — «Resident Evil». George Romero, who was originally assigned to the project, dropped out due to creative differences, however, as it soon became clear, Paul Anderson did not lose his face, removing a truly high-quality and dynamic science fiction action movie, successfully dressed in the armor of a classic zombie horror with a decent age rating. nine0003

The plot of the tape, of course, does not reveal anything supernova and it is very traditional: a secret laboratory, a power-hungry mega-corporation with the symbolic name «Umbrella», a dangerous virus and hordes of zombies obtained from it. However, Paul Anderson, who acted in the project and as a screenwriter, clothed this traditional plot for the genre in a powerful dynamic picture, when you watch the action with bated breath and until the finale you don’t even know about the development of the storyline. Anderson controls his own characters like a joystick, leading them purely within the framework of the genre, but not forgetting about drawing characters, which is why there are no completely positive characters in the film. nine0003

In Resident Evil 2002, Alice has not yet become the most important character, although it is on her that the whole intrigue of the tape rests. Milla Jovovich’s performance is impeccable and the character she portrays turned out to be solid and charismatic. Also good in the background of the film are Michelle Rodriguez, James Purefoy and Eric Mebias. Cinematographer David Johnson shot the film in a dark and stylish manner, creating a catchy and creepy atmosphere in the tape. Visually, it is impossible to find fault with the film, because the action is presented to the viewer in a spectacular manner, and the main reason for the whole nightmare — the zombies — look as they should, that is, repulsive and bloodthirsty in their appetite. The soundtrack, written by Marco Beltrami and Marilyn Manson, also gave a special rhythm to the picture and is ideally woven into the structure of the tape. nine0003

So, «Resident Evil» is a high-quality and interesting film adaptation of the cult computer game, which I recommend for viewing to all fans of horror films, especially their zombie direction, and fantastic action movies. «Resident Evil» has a lot of fans, and there is much to love about this film that made a breakthrough in its genre. A beautiful picture, rich in special effects, combined with an interesting idea, a couple of rising female stars on the screen. Bloody rivers and a twisting plot at the end are undoubted pluses. No matter how much they shoot in our time, nothing compares to the first part of «Resident Evil».

In the summer of 2021, Netflix revealed the cast of the series based on the Resident Evil media franchise. It is known that the role of the main villain Albert Wesker went to Lance Reddick («Prison of Oz», «The Wire», «John Wick». By tradition, all episodes of the show will be released on the same day, but so far the release date of the series has not been announced.
