Instead of employing trivial jump scare tactics, Visage expertly toys with your senses and messes with your head, first causing uneasiness, and then evoking authentic fear. There’s no reason to weep for the cancelled Silent Hills anymore. We’ve got Visage, the best horror game of the year, maybe even the best in years. [13/2020, p.51]

Visage creates a palpable playground for fans of horror to revel in, tapping into different flavors of fear to create an unsettling experience. All too often, genre titles fall back on repetitive jump scares and shock value, but Visage lets the house burn into your brain and leaves you questioning every decision to open a door or descend a staircase.

Visage is quite possibly the most oppressive experience we’ve had since Amnesia: The Dark Descent. The variety of gameplay and terrifying set pieces make this surreal nightmare of human psyche and things lurking in the dark, a must play.

Visage is a game survival horror fans must experience for themselves at least once to fully appreciate, even with its flaws. Watching the game through the eyes of a streamer simply does not compare to the masterful way it manipulates its players emotions and tension levels. Visage is not just another edgy PT wannabe, and if players can get past the controls and be patient with the puzzles, they’re in for a genuinely frightening ride.

Visage is one of the most terrifying games I’ve ever played, full stop, but it’s not going to be for all horror fans. The game’s perplexing puzzles, convoluted story, and rough edges will turn off some, but if you can stick it out, there’s a good chance it will eventually sink its hooks into you. Good horror can take time to process, and I believe Visage’s dark presence will only grow with time.

The atmosphere and the vibe generally felt darkI normally don’t write reviews, but Visage was different, so I felt obligated to write one
The atmosphere and the vibe generally felt dark and depressing, maybe lonely, mix that with random events happening throughout the game and the sense that everything seems normal but isn’t.
The game also doesn’t give you much to work with at first, that’s maybe a bit confusing, but the game eventually unfolds itself, and it’s worth pulling through with it
Visage for me is psychological horror at its finest, and something no horror fan should miss out on… Expand

Incredibly excited to finish it. Atmosphere is so tense, and that sticks with you throughout, so scary in parts i needed to take a few breaks in between. Any fan of horror games, do not miss this, play it and invest in the finished game.… Expand

However, it feels like for every few things that Visage does right, it does something not so right.
In particular, the UI and controls definitely could’ve used more polish and testing. I played through the entire game, and it never really felt like I ever got used to how the inventory and menu systems work. The game explains it well enough, but in execution it gets a little messy. It’s not enough to ruin the game per se, but enough to nag at you throughout it all. Furthermore, the sanity system is weirdly implemented at times; something as simple as a clock ringing out in the middle of the night will cause your sanity to go down, while climbing down a rope of intestines doesn’t effect it whatsoever. While some of this can be explained by story events, other times it just feels inconsistent.
Your enjoyment of Visage will depend on how able you are to look past these flaws, as they never really go away. However, as mentioned before, the game does have some genuinely creepy elements to it, and the story goes in a wild direction that’ll assure you won’t forget the game anytime soon. I’d recommend it if you’re a fan of atmospheric horror games, but do be warned that the game does have some noticeable bumps and hiccups here and there.… Expand

Visage admirably succeeds at building dread and capitalizing on that investment with compelling stories and chilling situations. This is the scariest game I’ve ever played

Visage is close to being of the best horror games of recent years, but it’s held back by some annoying aspects. The inventory controls are awkward, there were still a few bugs that prevented me from interacting with the environment, and the chapters are far too uneven, with the third being particularly bad. That being said, if you are prepared to work through these issues there is a lot of spooky fun to be found here and it is more than just jump scares for streamers (although there are plenty of those). With a little more polish and a better third chapter, this could have been an essential purchase. Instead, Visage is somewhat haunted by the spectre of what might have been.

A genuinely scary and intriguing horror portmanteau which overcomes the fiddly inventory system and slightly repetitive environs through its inventive interpretation of its film and game influences. If you’re a horror fan who wants to find out how Konami’s P.T. may have turned out, you’d be hard pushed to find a more terrifying surrogate.

As a psychological horror that uses one of the most iconic horror games of the last-gen as its inspiration, it works incredibly well. I never thought walking down a hallway in a game could fill me with such dread, but every single staircase, hallway, and door ramped my anxiety all the way up. In all honesty, for the first couple of days, I could only play it for 10 minutes at a time before I had to call it quits. As someone who watches horror movies all the time, getting me to tap out before you even scare is a feat to be proud of. By that measure, Visage should be bursting with pride!

Visage isn’t going to be for every horror fan. It’s slower pace, difficult puzzles and lack of direction are going to make many struggle, but that’s also kind of the point. For every moment where I didn’t know what to do and felt like I was on a wild goose chase, there was another moment of gratification for finally figuring it out. Throughout all of those moments, I was scared and that’s indicative that even if I didn’t, Visage knows what it’s doing.

what is it and what is the difference
More and more new concepts appear in the beauty industry that require clarification. Today we will talk about visage
Contents
- Visage and make-up — what is it?
- The difference between make-up and visage
- How to choose an image for yourself: the theory of color types
The words “make-up” and “visage” are synonymous for many people. This happened due to the fact that the profession of makeup artist appeared. This, as you know, is a make-up specialist who professionally owns beauty tools and techniques for applying cosmetics.
© Getty
This is what confuses most people. In fact, it cannot be said that makeup and make-up are one and the same. Let’s figure out what the difference is.
Visage and make-up — what is it?
Make-up is a type of make-up designed for everyday life. Special techniques for using cosmetics make it possible to mask the flaws in appearance, and emphasize the advantages, bring them to the fore.
© Makeup.ru
Visage is not limited to makeup. This is a more general concept, which implies the creation of a holistic image in which all elements are in harmony with each other and the external features of a person.
© armanibeauty
Mastering the art of makeup is not the same as knowing how to do makeup or style your hair; the make-up master accurately determines the type of appearance and selects shades, textures, accents for it to obtain a harmonious image.
© Makeup.ru
The extent to which the person who is engaged in make-up is aware of current trends is also important: the image should be created, taking into account fashion trends.
© armanibeauty
Now the word «make-up» is rarely used in this interpretation. They continue to stubbornly confuse it with makeup, at best designating it as an artistic make-up, where there are no familiar and simple details typical of casual looks.

The difference between make-up and make-up
It must be admitted that make-up can be very versatile, but still does not cover all the possibilities of make-up.
© Makeup.ru
Makeup satisfies the needs that arise in the usual life schedule. Many do make-up as part of their usual care: they even out the tone, hide the redness of the skin, give it radiance, and “open up” the look.
© Makeup.ru
Make-up is more thorough in all respects: makeup in it is thought out in every detail, as it relies on the color type, facial features, its contours, eye color and other characteristics — it includes a complete analysis of appearance and selection of haircuts / styling that will beautifully frame face.
© Makeup.ru
This is a full-fledged creation of an image, only not in clothes, but in terms of beauty. Make-up is often chosen for evening outings and other special occasions when an integrated approach is needed, because makeup and hairstyle should form into a single image, when all elements complement each other.
© armanibeauty
Make-up can only be done by a professional, while casual make-up can be done by every girl at home and with minimal knowledge of techniques.

How to choose an image for yourself: the theory of color types
If you are interested in make-up and you have a desire to get acquainted with its basics, then the first thing you should learn to determine is color types. There is the most general division into “warm” and “cold” color types, however, a classification that includes the “spring”, “summer”, “autumn” and “winter” color types is considered more accurate and useful.
Spring
With this color type, the appearance is “light”. It has no contrasts. If we talk about the hair color of girls like «spring», then it is either wheat, or straw, or shades of blond.
© Makeup.ru
Eyebrows can be a tone or two darker than hair color. The eyes are either hazel or blue or grey-green. As for the skin tone, it is also fair, but with warmth; sometimes those who can be attributed to «spring» also have freckles.
© Makeup.ru
Summer
The main difference between summer girls is the presence of a cool ashy undertone in their features. Their hair can be both light and dark, but always without redness.
© Makeup.ru
Skin undertone — blue or olive. Eye color is most often blue, gray, blue, less often green (with an admixture of gray). For girls with such an appearance, the make-up that we described in this article is suitable as an everyday one.
© Makeup.ru
Autumn
The complete opposite of “summer” is the “autumn” color type: warm shades predominate in this appearance. «Autumn» girls are primarily brunettes, whose hair is cast in gold or copper. Red-haired and fair-haired girls can belong to the same type. Their eyes are brown, green or hazel.
© Makeup.ru
Medium toned skin with warm undertones.
© Makeup.ru
Winter
Determining whether the color type «winter» is not difficult: the appearance of the girls contrast strongly with each other.
© Makeup.ru
First of all, these are brunettes (the basic makeup rules for girls with dark hair can be found here) with porcelain skin (“snow white”), whose eyes stand out brightly against the general background — blue, green or dark brown color. You will find the idea of makeup for girls with this appearance in this video.
