There aren’t many shows capable of becoming unrelentingly omnipresent the way Game of Thrones has been, especially over the last couple of seasons. The finale has passed and you’ll never see a new episode of this show again, but the Game of Thrones experience isn’t over yet. Aside from the prequels — the first of which has begun shooting — HBO will be airing a documentary called Game of Thrones: The Last Watch the Sunday following the finale.

The Last Watch is ostensibly a look behind the curtain at production of the final season of the show. However, HBO says the show is much more than a simple «mkaing of» documentary. It looks at the experience of the actors who have lived with the show for years and all the hard work that goes into building Westeros before the cameras start to roll. (Which kind of sounds like a «making of» documentary.)

It «delves deep into the mud and blood to reveal the tears and triumphs involved in the challenge of bringing the fantasy world of Westeros to life in the very real studios, fields, and car-parks of Northern Ireland.» HBO’s description continues, «Much more than a ‘making of’ documentary, this is a funny, heartbreaking story, told with wit and intimacy, about the bittersweet pleasures of what it means to create a world — and then have to say goodbye to it.» (Okay. It sounds like a good «making of» documentary.)

In the trailer, co-showrunner D.B. Weiss says, «Here we are at the last table read. It’s like looking around and seeing your family. «

It doesn’t appear that the channel is overstating the emotions present in director Jeanie Finlay’s two-hour documentary. We see Kit Harrington tearing up at a table read and a brief glimpse of the cast reacting to Emilia Clarke’s final day shooting the show. Meanwhile, director David Nutter («The Rains of Castamere» and «Winterfell,» among others), says, «This is a dream job for a director. The show saved my life.»

How to watch the

Game of Thrones documentary

Game of Thrones: The Last Watch will air on May 26 at 9pm ET, exactly one week after the finale. Just like Game of Thrones, it will air live on HBO. Though, as with most shows on the channel, you’ll also be able to stream it online through its subscription services HBO Now, HBO Go, HBO On Demand, or other partner platforms where you usually catch Game of Thrones.

If you’ve been left frustrated by unanswered questions in Westeros, maybe this is your last shot at getting a little closure until George R. R. Martin finishes the books. Though, the show diverged from the books long ago. Anyhow, one can hope.

description, content, interesting facts and much more about the film

The main character is an almost 200-kilogram teenager nicknamed Oil. At the beginning of the film, he talks about his childhood and family. Mother (Marian) takes great care of her son, prepares mountains of food for him. The father (Frank) is not involved in his son’s life in any way. The guy himself has long come to terms with his obesity. He plays the saxophone well and goes to school where almost no one notices him. Of his friends, only Professor Dunn is a music teacher. Dunn has long been trying to persuade a talented musician to enroll in his school band. Also, the main character is in love with the most beautiful and popular student at school — Anna McGinn. At the same time, the girl also considers him her boyfriend, only she does not know that her sensitive and sympathetic pen friend is Fat Man Oil.

One day the hero witnesses Jeremy’s boyfriend being disrespectful to Anna. He clumsily tries to protect her and because of this becomes the object of offensive jokes. Frustrated, he returns home and sets up a website with the message: “Do you think I eat too much? This is what else! Turn on my stream on New Year’s Eve and see my last meal. Another year in those greasy folds is too much. I invite everyone who can stomach it to watch me vomit to death.”

The news of the upcoming stream spread throughout the school. Oil began to be treated quite differently. He was finally noticed. Jeremy did not believe that he would actually commit suicide, and Oil seriously decided to do it. At dinner, Jeremy’s friends Trent and Parker approached him. They expressed admiration for the fat man’s act and offered to put his website under a password so that no one else would know and the plan with gluttony to death would not fail.

The fat man started a new life. Trent and Parker started inviting him to their parties. They became his best friends. He also began to communicate with Anna, who treated him kindly. He took her to his favorite secluded place on the mountain, where he nearly kissed her. However, the girl was in love with a pen pal.

Butter had no hopes for his new life. He knew that the tough guys were talking to him only because of the upcoming stream. They even bet money on whether he does it or not. But the hero does not realize that Trent and Parker at some point began to like spending time with him. He also began to eat less and lose weight.

It’s Christmas. And the holiday guy again felt the detachment of his father. He promised Anna that at the New Year’s party she would see her interlocutor from the network. But when at this party the hero confessed to her that it was him, she became very angry with him. This gave him determination and he went to his last meal. For her, he bought a good portion of strawberries, to which he was severely allergic. As a result, everyone on the air saw how the guy becomes ill and he turns off. Anna called an ambulance. After a two-day coma, Maslo came to his senses.

Anna came to see him at the hospital. She was still angry with him and ended up saying goodbye to him. But Oil finally spoke heart to heart with his father, who explained his cold attitude towards him, but promised to improve. And Professor Dunn gave the hero an interview at the best music school in the country. After the hospital, Anna persuaded Maslo, whose real name was Marshall, to return to the school, where he was greeted with a warm welcome. And at the end of the film, Marshal went on a picnic on the mountain with his parents. He realized his mistake and was glad he got a second chance.
