Prologue 4 — 1 4 — 2 4 — 3 4 — 4

It’s good to be back, and this time you have an air supply on your side! The controls for space are pretty simple — just press in the direction you want to go. But beware, you can’t move vertically (up or down) while in 3D! So be careful when and where you are at!

Mario starts off in a large field of emptiness, but you will soon see the occasional «SOS» distress signal. Follow them to the bottom-right corner of the map to find several sparkling stars. Point the Wii Remote at them to reveal a spaceship! Interact with it to make the pilot reveal himself.

The friendly life form will request that you build up some energy, by holding down the A button. There’s no need to go crazy here, five or six seconds should be enough. With the energy you’ve stored up, he’ll warp you to the next section.

With the alien on your side, soar to the right, blasting anything within sight. However, flip to 3D at this boulder (just before the Save Block) to find a Foton card behind it.

Make use of the Save Block, then proceed through the swirling vortex of DOOM…okay, not really, but go through it anyway.

Continue until you reach the pair of Vortexs. Now here’s where things start to get tricky, thanks to the numerous vortexes, with nary a hint of where they lead to. Thankfully, the first two warp you to the same general area, so take either one (though the first is slightly faster).

After warping, ignore the nearby Vortex, as it’s simply the exit of the portal you skipped in the previous section. Continue right until you find a single vortex all by itself.

Flip to 3D, and look behind a meteor, to the right of where you emerge, to find a Catch Card SP. Now work your way to a portal all the way left (make sure to bypass the portal you just took to get here).

After warping, continue going right to find the Star Block at the end.

                                       END OF CHAPTER!

Pit Stop!

About halfway through, you should spot a small vortex in the background, along with an oddly shaped planet. Flip to 3D here to find a vortex hidden behind the meteor ahead that will warp you to the background. Take the warp pipe at the top of the planet to find a coin-filled room.

Outer Space — Super Mario Wiki, the Mario encyclopedia

This article is about the Space location in Super Paper Mario. For other uses, see Space.

Outer Space is the setting of Chapter 4 in Super Paper Mario. Chapter 4 may not take place in the outer space above the Mushroom Kingdom, but rather that of another dimension. It was once the location of the Squirpia kingdom.

In Chapter 4-1, the heroes meet Squirps, a mysterious alien creature who functions as a ray gun for stages 4-1 and 4-3, as well as in the battle against Brobot. A large portion of this chapter involves a Squarp hole maze, which requires the player to remember which Holes are linked to which in order to progress.

Chapter preview

Storyline text

Through the fierce battle against Francis, Tippi and the Mario gang grew closer.

Behind a fourth door lay a whole new world that beckoned to them both.

What awaited was vaster and stranger than anything they’d encountered so far…

In order to claim the Pure Heart, they would have to endure new, far-out trials…

Mario panicking with no air

Mario finding Squirps

Upon entering the green door at the top of Flipside Tower, Mario and co. find themselves in space and realize that they cannot breathe. Tippi warps them all back to Flipside, where they tell Merlon about their problem. He explains that a helmet would allow them to breathe, but he gave away the only one he had to a little boy, who the heroes discover to be Pook. Pook is using the helmet as a fishbowl for his pet, Captain Gills, who is growing too large for it. Pook gives the heroes the fishbowl and asks them to release Captain Gills. After placing the fish in a canal in Flipside’s basement, the heroes return to space and put on the helmet, allowing them to explore the new world.

The heroes follow an SOS to a space capsule, containing a small alien named Squirps, who knows of the heroes and their mission to gather the Pure Hearts. While Tippi is suspicious of Squirps, Mario accepts the alien’s help. Squirps opens a warp called a Squarp hole, which he says will take the group directly the Pure Heart. However, the warp is far off target and the heroes are forced to navigate a maze of Squarp holes.

The level’s lack of gravity allows the player to move anywhere they want using the +Control Pad. As they cannot stomp enemies in this state, they may instead use Squirps’ Squirt Beam to attack enemies. The level is mostly empty, aside from enemies and stationary asteroids. If the player flips near a certain asteroid, they will find a Squarp hole behind it. This Squarp hole will lead the heroes to the background, where they can go through a pipe on another asteroid to find a room full of coins. There are many Squarp holes in the level, with the correct warp usually being the one farthest away from where the heroes started from.

After that, if the player says «no» thrice, she will abandon the player in frustration, resulting in a Game Over. Upon further visits, the helmet is equipped automatically once they pass through the door.

Japanese artist Kisaragi Hutae recreated the passage of the first level (1-1) of the platformer Super Mario Bros. in my notebook and then animated it with the help of a friend using the stop-motion method.

He used only paper and pen to recreate the first level of the game. The result turned out to be very popular on Twitter — millions of people watched the video.

The Japanese drew all the elements of the level in his notebook and cut out individual brick blocks, enemies and the hero from paper. Then he began to move Mario around the painted location with his hands and photographed every movement and action of the hero. The resulting frames were quickly scrolled one after another and the overall picture came to life — Mario seemed to be running through the pages of a notebook. All this took the artist 17 hours.

— 如月二重 6 (@KisaragiHutae6) February 11, 2019

This is not the first time Kisaragi has created something unique in the field of stop-motion animation. In the past, he has posted videos of Pokemon Red , Tetris and Pac-Man which can be viewed on his YouTube channel. However, only the animation with Mario really shot.

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe

New Super Mario Bros. Series is a legacy of classic Mario platform game . In this case, it’s , a port of straight out of a game that came out on the Wii U in 2012. The expansion was added to the original game. The new Super Luigi U and Toadette have also been added as a playable character.

Super Mario Maker 2

The Mario game, with which you can create your own Mario games, came out for the second time in 2019year for the Nintendo Switch. It is an evolution of from the original Super Mario Maker for Wii U. Among its innovations is the ability to create scenarios in 2.5D perspective of just like in Super Mario 3D World. New objects and more variety are also included to avoid monotony in scenarios.

Super Mario 3D World (+ Bowser’s Rage)

The Switch catalog is full of games that never made it to success due to the failure of the Wii U. Super Mario 3D World was released for the Wii U in 2013. Bowser’s Fury has been added to Switch as package . This open world mode was heavily influenced by what was previously seen in Super Mario Sunshine.

Super Mario Odyssey

Odyssey is the latest game in super mario 3d line like Mario 64 or Mario Galaxy. It also brought back the open world aspect that was completely lost in Super Mario Galaxy 2. The game opens with an impending wedding between Bowser and Princess Peach, who has been kidnapped for a change. Mario manages to prevent this, but his hat is shattered when he tries. This will allow Mario to meet Cappie, a small hat-shaped alien who will be his ally throughout the adventure.

This game came out in 2017, a few months after the console was released. Surprisingly, critics were ecstatic about Mario, as Nintendo was able to release a game that was good enough not to be swallowed up by Mario himself. cheating what gender.

Super Mario Party

This primer name is Mario Party that came out for Nintendo Switch . As in the previous parts, Mario and his comrades will compete on the board in rounds. Between rounds, all players (up to 4 per console) will have to play a shared mini-game.

This twelfth installment of Mario Party was well received. However, he had criticisms about the game time, and that is that the title is only compatible with if Joy-Cons is used, and not be able to play with any other team than the official one.

Mario Party Superstars

El second title Mario Party for Switch is Mario Party Superstars released in October 2021. This isn’t the first time two Mario Parties have been released for the same console, as this was fairly common at the beginning of the saga.

Superstars solves some of the issues reported in the previous part by adding compatibility regardless of the controller we choose to play with. It also adds new online mode exclusive and Competitive mode daily where we can meet random players from all over the world. Let’s say it’s a game that eschews the party genre a bit to get closer to single player with online features. Obviously knowing that we live in an age of social distancing.

Paper Mario: The King of Origami

Designed by Intelligent Systems, the original team of Paper Mario, this piece of Paper Mario adheres to the RPG concept we’ve seen in some previous generations, like in Paper Mario and the Millennial Door.

In this part, King Ollie kidnaps Peach and takes control of Bowser’s army to turn the paper world into origami. Our sworn enemy Bowser will fight with us throughout the adventure to thwart the plans of the villain.

Mario Tennis Aces

It was produced by Camelot Software Planning. This is a typical Mario game of tennis, absolutely chaotic, with hitting techniques and movements that are completely different depending on the character we have chosen and the several game modes in which he can participate. up to 4 players at the same time.

Mario and the Bunnies: Kingdom Battle

The new part of this game could not be missing on the Nintendo Switch. Crossovers between Mario and Rayman’s rabbits.

This is RPG with exploration and turn based combat. It was released in 2017, but the new part of this game is planned for 2022 and will be called Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope .

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Ported directly from the Wii U, this Mario Kart is the most varied and complete we’ve ever enjoyed. It was originally released for the Wii U. On the Switch, it was released with the last name «Deluxe» since includes los two DLC which were purchased separately on the original console.

Super Mario 3D All Stars

This title combines three of the best hits in 3D Nintendo Plumber. It was Limited Edition which officially ceased distribution on March 31, 2021, both online and in physical format, although if you are interested in this game, then know that it is still easy to find in stores.
