The plot, which was very pleasing, was a continuation of the previous part, not devoid of ornateness, but easily digestible.
It is a pity, however, that in some places it is completely devoid of logic and is full of absurdities and blunders.
The surrounding world, recreated with the help of the latest technologies, or rather what is left of it, is so atmospheric and frighteningly gloomy that it is really scary to imagine the possibility of what you see.
Zombies are what attracts the viewer so much, or rather not the zombies themselves, which look very believable, but all sorts of methods for their extermination. Well, how Alice does it is a sight to behold, and her new partners are not far behind in ingenuity.
Milla Jovovich’s fans will definitely go crazy, there are so many of her in the film that it’s hard to count. It’s a pity there weren’t more boobs, otherwise there wouldn’t be a price for her, but Eli Larter, Sienna Guillory Casey Barnfield and Spencer Lock did an excellent job of revealing this hidden topic. So to speak, covering with his broad chest … well, you understand =)
Fans of games of the zombie-crushing genre will undoubtedly erect a monument to Paul Anderson, who simultaneously appeared as a producer, director and screenwriter of the picture.

3 Finely chop the zombies and pour ketchup over them. Tasty? Poison!
I was waiting for this sequel. I almost counted the days until the premiere, because I am a fan of both the game and the film. But. But the film was extremely weak. It seems that Anderson did not bother with the plot at all and over the slightest sense of the film. It seems that at first all the title action scenes were filmed, and then they were hastily (and no matter how it hit!) Pulled by the ears to each other.
Yes, «Life after death» is still the same zombie-crushing allegro on the theme «I’ll kill everyone, I’ll stay alone» with rare lyrical digressions-passages like «please don’t die or I’ll have to too.
..» filmed in a frisky and lively character . Zombies cheerfully shoot out of all holes and crevices with an ugly mass, sometimes, however, showing from their crowd some kind of entity that has mutated more sophisticatedly and pretentiously than all the others put together. Long-legged Alice (Mila Jovovich) tirelessly cuts, kneads, stabs and shoots the most nimble of them, keeping the seal of purity on her bright brow. All mutated (by the way, both humans and dogs) are now in solidarity with each other with some kind of four-petalled tentacles that come out of their mouths. When I started to yawn towards the end of the film, I thought that I would now have the same ones coming out of my mouth from hellish boredom.
The film, of course, is specially sharpened and filmed for 3D format. Everything that is “not nailed down” and can fly and fall into the viewer flies, falls and falls: knives, axes, glass, zombies, virus-infected blood from these same zombies, and so on and so forth, and so on, from being on the screen.
Anderson, probably, very superficially familiarized himself with the previous series, or simply, again, decided not to bother with semantic loads. Earlier in the film, everything took place in the States, now Umbrella has its spreading roots in Japan.
Alice flies around Alaska in a plane in search of the «promised land» and finds Claire’s former ally (Ali Lerter) in a semi-wild, homeless state. In order not to indulge in explanations of what she is doing here, her memory is simply “chopped off” due to amnesia, which arose due to the presence of some kind of mechanical spider beetle resting on her chest, which it was not clear why it came from. After «five seconds» she is already washed and made up on the back seat of the plane with her signature smile… After that, they fly at random (but somehow purposefully!) to Los Angeles, where they immediately find survivors hiding in prison.
I don’t understand what reasons the survivors in the prison have for not letting Chris out of the cage, about whom they themselves don’t really know and don’t know anything.
Instead, they prefer to be on duty near him at night. Apparently, also only so that Alice would not be bored without company in the future. The retinue makes the queen.
The zombies also saved on makeup — they just painted them with white and black paint.
By the middle of the film begins to look like a creation of Rodriguez, only diluted ten times: the humor is thinner, and the video sequence is clearer.
What I liked was the music for the film. Mighty minor techno from «A Perfect Circle» and «Tommandandy» with grunge guitars a la «Half Life», which is very appropriate in action scenes.
Best shot: a slowly spinning axe, the size of an old anvil, which flies straight at the viewer.
As a result, I got a «stake» for the plot, a solid «four» for 3D effects. If you’re not a fan of «Resident Evil» and aren’t willing to sacrifice the paucity of the story for 3D effects, don’t go.
P.S: at the end of the film, the same piano appears from the bushes, in the form of helicopters flying up to the ship, which means «to be continued.

Those who played the original Resident Evil games in the late 20th century ( 1996 — 1999 ) company Capcom for PlayStation , are unlikely to be happy to watch Paul William Scott Anderson’s new film featuring Milla Jovovich .
Why? Let’s try to figure it out!
For stamps.
If the hero throws a weapon to another, he will definitely catch it.
If the hero shoots, he will definitely hit all targets from one clip (ammo in clips is endless, often… and if they run out, the weapon is thrown away and a more powerful one gets… again with infinite ammo).

Plot.

The zombies in Anderson’s new film are the biggest flaw and failure…

I also liked the stunning plans of burning Los Angeles. Looks bewitching! Although we could see something similar in the film «Terminator: Salvation», the same burnt inscription Hollywood, the same view of Los Angeles … is a fuller version of the two-minute video, stretched to 96 , and is also an almost exact clone of «Ultra Violet» (Kurt Wimmer), released in 2006 and barely beat off its 30 million budget and received devastating ratings …
Really worthwhile moments in « Life after death » — one, two and counted … All the time, endless borrowing, which are flavored with not outstanding computer graphics.
Most of the plans, individual frames do not at all shine with originality and novelty …
You can’t just tear out separate pieces from other films, you need to look for new approaches and solutions!
For me, as a big fan of the original series of the 90s, this film is a very strong disappointment, which I would recommend watching only as an independent work that has nothing to do with the Resident Evil universe.

who are shot at by Mila who flew out the window? into an operator?
why didn’t Mila build a pyramid to get the villain in a helicopter. And if one of them was in it, then why did they shoot?
and Mila’s jacket says ARMY? whose interesting
you can talk on the plane without straining your vocal cords
and of course, Mila not only tied up her new companion, but also tinted her lips, eyes and straightened her hair
