Counter-Strike: Source maps
There are quite a few maps which have gathered over the years as I toyed around with the Source engine. Although most of them are not finished till the last detail, there are quite a few I am rather happy with.

Pfarrhaus
The first, largest and most detailed map that I created for Counter-Strike Source. It displays a relatively true image of the house in the «Schäfergasse 1» in «Bad Wildungen», where I lived for a long time. Although having lots of edges and obviously being my first map, I’m quite satisfied. It may be noted that this map is not meant to be played at all. It is not finished either: it has no skybox, many rooms are not furnished and it lacks detail overall. Albeit overall rather empty, it is my favorite among my maps.

Contrast
I created this one after I came upon a map in the internet which was absolutely garbage. The map was basically a few blocks… which indeed is ok. But there was no block on any grid, they all overlapped, there was no lighting at all etc. Overall not even acceptable as a draft. I took the layout of this garbage map as inspiration to create this map — just to show how it’s done. Even if the lighting is perhaps a little too bright, you can play well.
Allah / Dusty
A small map in style of Dust. A map that I have played quite often with friends.
Rats@Home
In this map, I realized my former room on a large scale. With tunnels in the walls you can very well get from A to B without passing the free areas. The icing on the top would have been content for shelving, cabinets and tables, but I left it with the empty furniture.

Healingground
A small «fight yard» map. The layout it is very similar to the «pool» maps. However, I have implemented it as a comic version. As a bonus you can heal on the bottom of the pool (thus naming the map), but this is not very beneficial towards gameplay.
Glassheaven
A map on which you can see almost everything and everyone… again in comic style.
sPine
This map had its origin in an adolescent joke (the map strings together the letters P, e, n, i and s). After working on it for some time and taking it more seriously, I gave it the name which it has now.
Koef
With the Koef maps I had created textures and devised a color concept in this snow and ice world. Ultimately I did not continue working after creating only a few gimmicks to the map.

Types of maps — Counter-Strike: Source — Games — Gamer.ru: social network for gamers especially for Source. There are 18 standard maps: cs_assault, cs_compound, cs_havana, cs_italy, cs_militia, cs_office, de_aztec, de_cbble, de_chateau, de_dust, de_dust2, de_inferno, de_nuke, de_piranesi, de_port, de_prodigy, de_tides, de_train.
And many new ones.
All cards in the game at the beginning of the name contain a letter index indicating their belonging to a particular type of game:
de — the terrorists must detonate the bomb at special laying points, and the special forces must interfere with them or defuse the bomb.
cs — the special forces must lead the hostages to the rescue point, and the terrorists must prevent this.
Other unofficial game types (fy, bhop etc.) have been developed by the community of players and mappers
fy — usually small maps with no room for bombs and hostages. The goal is to destroy the enemy forces.
surf — maps with special ramps on which the player slides to the desired point.
bhop — maps on which players learn how to jump.
awp — Small maps, which, in most cases, have only 1 type of weapon — AWP
SCUT — the same thing only with scouts)
ka — small card for knife fighting

The cult Counter-Strike 1.6, according to Steam statistics, is still played by thousands of people, although Valve has not supported the game with fresh maps for a long time. The community solves this problem, including porting levels from CS:GO there — of course, with changes (after all, CS 1.6 is technically very outdated), but often quite accurately. Moreover, this is not only about maps that Valve created only for GO, but also about classics like de_dust 2 — a demake of its updated version is also in 1.6.
Modder Tatu_Eugen is responsible for such demakes. We decided to compare the demakes with the original maps and see what he did.
Editorial
Many maps from the material have had large-scale updates, while demakes are made on the basis of the old version (release). In such cases, for comparison, we have provided two screenshots from CS:GO — the first from the current version, and the second from the previous one.
Overpass
de_overpass is one of the few levels that first appeared only in CS:GO, but still ended up in the tournament pool along with Dust 2, Inferno and other classic maps.
Some features of the GoldSrc engine can be seen in the demake, for example, steps are missing.
But if you ignore this, the port still turned out to be decent — even the textures are mostly the same.
The author was not even afraid to recreate the geometry outside the level — this was rare in the original 1.6 maps.
Cache
de_cache — a level from community members, later also included in the list of tournament maps. Its environment is inspired by the Chernobyl setting.
In 2019, Cache was reworked — now the level looks much more neglected. In the demake, of course, all this is not.
Even the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disappeared from the background — most likely due to engine limitations.
Dust 2
The appearance of de_dust_2 seems to have changed throughout its life, but the structure and game design in it has always remained the same.
Initially, the map appeared in 1.6, then it was ported to Source and GO — the demake is just based on the last game. The circle is closed.
In some places the author even tried to recreate the lighting. It came out funny.
Inferno
The demake of Inferno turned out to be the strangest — in some places it contains geometry from Source, and the game design in it is borrowed from 1.6.
For example, the author left a balcony above the passage to the mid — even in Source it was no longer there.
It also has a second passage from the terrorist spawn point — it was not in the version of the map on the basis of which the demake was created. But it is in the original, Source and rework.
It is also noticeable that the textures and objects are far from the same everywhere as in the original.
