9 Champions In League Of Legends Who Could Still Use An Update

League Of Legends has been around since late October 2009, and some would argue that it’s more popular today than it’s ever been. It’s estimated that around 125 million players are active every month, and combined with how many iconic skin lines the game pumps out each year, it’s become one of the most profitable games of all time. With a total of almost one-hundred-and-sixty champions as of early 2022, there’s a playstyle for just about every kind of player.

Over the past few years, the Riot Games team has begun updating older champions to bring them up-to-date with the game’s more modern releases. Whether this means updating parts of their kit, giving some of their skins a visual update, or updating their voice lines, there are all sorts of areas in which a champion might need an update. And though the team’s been doing an excellent job, there are still some champions who could use a little modern-day TLC.

9/9 Miss Fortune’s Voice Lines Still Reference The Summoner

Players take on the role of Summoners in League Of Legends, and originally, many champions would address the Summoner first-hand. Sona and Miss Fortune are two great examples of this, with Sona stating that «only you can hear me, summoner,» but she’s since gotten an update and no longer references the player.

The reason for this change is due to a complete overhaul of League’s lore. Despite this, one of Miss Fortune’s voice lines still asks, «think you can handle me, Summoner?» For any players who keep up with the game’s lore, this line stands out as an incredibly outdated one.

8/9 Taric’s Full Rework Didn’t Do Anything To Help His Popularity

Taric is a champion who already received a full-blown rework all the way back in 2017. This was done because he was an unloved Support by the community, labeled as «boring,» capable of giving out a heal and a stun, but not much else.

His rework does make his playstyle slightly more engaging, but it wasn’t enough to get players interested. He’s still one of the least-played supports in the entire game, and he could use a bit of an update to attempt to get more players to resonate with him.

7/9 Teemo Is A League «Mascot» Without Any Competitive Presence

Teemo is seen as one of the «mascot» characters of League despite the awful reputation he has with the game’s fanbase. It’s likely that he’s never going to get any big visual update because of this, but it’s his kit that could do with a serious update.

The main issue with Teemo is that he doesn’t have anything to offer in teamfights, aside from a single-use blind that’s on a decent cooldown. And while his mushrooms can pack a powerful punch in certain situations, they can also be completely countered if the enemy team is smart enough to buy an Oracle Lens.

6/9 Anivia Is In Serious Need Of A Visual Update

Anivia is one of the older champions in League, having been released in July 2009. Those that play her enjoy her kit, as all of her abilities work seamlessly together to create her unique playstyle, and she can dish out a surprising amount of damage.

It’s the visual department where many players find her to be lacking. Her model is incredibly clunky-looking, especially when compared to more modern releases, and a small visual update would help bring her in line with the competition.

5/9 Lux Feels Visually Underwhelming Compared To Her Wild Rift Counterpart

Lux is one of the most popular champions in all of League of Legends, which is evident by just how many skins she gets and how successful their sales numbers are. Despite this, her base model is one of the most visually lacking in the entire game, and she’s in desperate need of an update.

Lux’s need of an update is made even more clear by the release of Wild Rift, League‘s mobile version, as many champions — including Lux — have a slightly altered appearance. Fans agree that her new design looks much better and are hopeful that her PC counterpart will be getting a visual update of her own.

4/9 Leblanc’s Appearance Also Leaves A Lot To Be Desired

Leblanc is another champion whose lacking visual appearance isn’t fully brought to light until another one of Riot’s games gives her an update first. She already received an update to her actual kit, which did help balance out her pick and win rates while still being fun to play.

In Legends Of Runeterra, Leblanc’s card comes with an entirely new appearance that many fans believe suits her overall character far more than her original look. Fans have been holding their breath in the hopes that her updated look will come to the Rift ever since.

3/9 Ashe Needs To Visually Feel Like She’s Actually From The Freljord

Ashe is a character that’s already had a fair share of updates, both to her kit and her voice lines. However, there’s still one area where her character feels lacking, which would be her design in relation to the land she’s supposed to be from.

Ashe is supposed to be the Queen of Freljord, but visually, she looks as if she’d get frostbite the minute she steps out into the cold. Her updated voice lines actually make a jab at this, rather than actually attempting to give her something better-designed.

2/9 Sivir Needs To Be Brought Up To The Level Of Other ADCs

Originally, Sivir was quite a popular pick in both solo queue and professional play, and she was seen quite often. In more recent years, though, she’s struggled to find her footing when compared to all of the other marksmen and enchanters that have been dominating the bot lane.

RELATED: 10 Anime To Watch If You Love Arcane

Sivir’s main flaws are that she feels dependent on using her E to maintain her mana costs, and both her Q and W feel less useful as time goes on. Thankfully, it’s already been announced that she will in fact be receiving an update to help bring her in line with other champions and give her more personal agency.

1/9 Rell Was Dead On Arrival And Desperately Needs Changes

Rell is one of the worst champion launches in recent memory. There are many times when a champion is overpowered upon release and later tuned down. However, in Rell’s case, it’s simply that no one who already had an interest in other tanky, control-heavy supports saw any reason to pick her up.

Rell doesn’t really have anything that makes her «unique» that would compel players to pick her over someone like Leona. A mid-scope update, similar to what Ahri received earlier this year, might help her reclaim some of the identity Riot wanted her to have and give players incentive to try her.

Mid and support Lux are totally overpowered on League of Legends patch 11.21

In one of the last updates of the year, Riot Games has decided to spice things up before preseason 2022 with League of Legends patch 11. 21, starting with a big buff to mage champion, Lux.

Despite selling skins like hotcakes, Lux has not been on the radar. In Season 11, she was only buffed twice. Her base armor and basic attack damage was increased on patch 11.1, while Lucent Singularity’s late game damage and AP ratio was slightly increased on patch 11.10.

League of Legends patch 11.21 is here to change that with massive buffs to the Lady of Luminosity.

Credit: Riot Games

Base Stats

  • Attack speed per level increased from 1% to 2%

Passive – Illumination

  • (Update) Let’s light it up: Illumination mark duration extended if Lux’s basic attack is already in flight to the target, or if R – Final Spark is being cast

E – Lucent Singularity

  • Damage increased from 60/110/160/210/260 (+65% AP) to 70/120/170/220/270 (+70% AP)

R – Final Spark

  • Cooldown decreased from 80/60/40 seconds to 60/50/40 seconds

How these buffs impact mid lane and support Lux

The most important spell for mid lane Lux is Lucent Singularity (E) as it is used for wave clear. Its base damage has gone up by ten at all ranks, with a boosted 70% AP scaling ratio.

In the earlier levels when Lux is still building towards her first item, Lucent Singularity won’t be able clear minions with one cast. Now that her ultimate’s Final Spark cooldown has been drastically reduced to a minute at rank one, she can now one shot waves with these two spells, recall, buy AP/Ability Haste items, and by the time she’s back in lane, her ultimate will be off cooldown again.

This means that on League of Legends patch 11.21, Lux’s wave clear ability will be unparalleled and unmatched. Combined with her long range and burst, she’ll definitely a pain to deal with in lane.

“This champion for me, I think she’s S-tier,” reviewed Tim “Nemesis” Lipovšek in a League of Legends patch 11.21 rundown video with analyst and T1 content creator, Nick “LS” De Cesare. “I also think people are going to need time to learn how to play against her. Her E is not dodgeable if you play Lux well.

For support Lux, the buff to Lucent Singularity’s base damage means she’ll deal more damage and poke champions down harder at bot lane, even without starting AP items.

Lastly, the change to her Illumination passive is significant for advanced players. Lux’s full combo involves procing the extra damage from her passive with an auto attack, and this change makes it easier to weave it in.

Alteration of the facade of the house and garage with The Foundry panels in the village of Romanovka, Ufa

Installation of The Foundry facade panels, Docke Lux gutter system, slopes

About the project

A large house with 2 floors and a garage for 2 cars needed renovation. Because were built about 10 years ago in the village of Romanovka, near the city of Ufa.

The object immediately promised to be interesting.

What happened

The client’s house was finished using the «wet facade» technology — this is plaster over insulation, the plinth was finished with slate stone. Over time, the plaster began to crumble, and insulation boards became visible through the paint of the plaster. The stone peeled off the wall and began to wobble. Well, the client wanted to update the facade of the house, make it more beautiful.

After measuring, he was offered 3 different options with different budgets. We settled on the American facade panels The Foundry.

After a long choice of colors, we made a 3D visualization, which the client approved.

3D visualization of the object

Having decided on the material, the object was visualized in several colors.

The client liked the Red Cedar and Umber color combinations more.

The Foundry façade

The Foundry façade panels were used.

This is an American material (just brought from America), it is a little more expensive than its competitors, but it has much better properties than ordinary Russian facade panels.

The client is extremely happy. We did not go beyond the previously agreed budget.

We place accents on the facade of the house

We decided to highlight the entrance group, ledges from all sides of the house and the plinth with an imitation of natural stone from THE Faundry in Umbra color.

WPC decking MultiDeck was laid on the porch

It was also decided to make the garage in the same color.

Chips by Foundry in Red Cedar

The main part of the facade of the house was made with woodchip panels, which looks like natural wood chips from a distance and close up. Only when you touch it, you understand that these are facade panels.

Drainage system

In order for the facade to serve longer than the warranty period of 50 years and the precipitation did not wash away the foundation and the ground around the house, a drainage system from Docke of the Lux series was installed. This gutter system is made of PVC and has the best price/quality ratio.

Briefly

A young girl lives in the apartment — the owner of a beauty salon — who is fond of art history, travel and fantasy. In order to realize all the wishes of the customer, a team of pros led by Daria Misyura developed a design project for the reconstruction of an apartment in the late Stalin era. Eclectic style was chosen for decoration, adding vintage and ethnic motifs to it. It turned out functional and not boring.

Details

The redevelopment was major: to combine the kitchen and the living room, the gas stove was turned off and welded on, the “wet” zone itself was not transferred. The balcony was attached to the bedroom — this moment was agreed upon before the change in the law. Bathrooms have been merged. The isolated rooms were turned into a bedroom and a guest room.

The interior is built on visual and tactile contrasts: bleached ash wood floors sit next to textured decorative stucco, while glossy white facades sit next to exposed brick walls. Doors are not just a functional element, but a decorative addition to furniture.

The main storage system for clothes is a walk-in closet in the customer’s bedroom. They also provided a huge closet in the living room: everything you need is hidden behind the slatted facades — a place for an ironing board, a utility compartment for a mop and a vacuum cleaner.

«A rich color palette — the customer’s wish, her favorite colors are midnight blue and kraplak. To make this combination more harmonious, we diluted it with turquoise shades and warm woods on a snow-white background,” says Daria Misyura.

Some of the furniture already belonged to the owner of the apartment, everything else was ordered in America. A massive oak wooden table was placed in the dining area, combined with fashionable chairs upholstered in cobalt purple. A vintage coffee table with its rustic charm was placed next to a comfortable sofa, and a glossy gold Elephant stool was added for accent.

A cozy reading area in the bedroom is made quite dynamic with a distinctive Andrew Martin armchair and a whimsical industrial-style wall lamp. The modern futuristic design bed in ultramarine upholstery fits perfectly into the interior with brick walls.
