Allgemeine Tipps

Neben der dramatischen Geschichte gibt es in The Last of Us eine Menge Gegenstände zu entdecken. Dazu zählen Artefakte, Trainingsanleitungen, Comics und Firefly-Anhänger. Ziegelsteine/Flaschen

Überall wo ihr schleichen könnt, findet ihr Ziegelsteine und Flaschen. Nehmt sie auf und benutzt sie zur Ablenkung. So könnt ihr Feinde (egal, ob menschlich oder infiziert) von eurer Position weglocken. Das gibt euch die Möglichkeit, weiter zu schleichen oder sie zu attackieren.

Pillen

Gefundene Pillen könnt ihr im Herstellungsmenü dazu einsetzen, um eure Eigenschaften zu verbessern. Die maximale Gesundheit, die Reichweite des Lauschmodus und die Fähigkeit „Messer-Meister“ sind die wohl lohnendsten Investitionen. Nicht nur Pillendosen, sondern auch manche Pflanzen sind Pillenspender. Schaut euch also vor allem an Stellen mit viel Pflanzenwuchs um.

Müllcontainer sind der Ausweg

Wann immer ihr mal nicht weiter kommt, weil eine Erhöhung zu nehmen ist, solltet ihr euch nach Müllcontainern umschauen. Sie sind in den meisten Fällen der Weg aus der Situation. Ihr könnt die Erhöhung auch nutzen, um euch in eine gute Schussposition gegen Infizierte oder gegen Banditen zu bringen.

Paletten

Paletten sind oftmals das Mittel, um in Wasserabschnitten voranzukommen. Indem Ellie darauf steht, könnt ihr sie so zu anderen Abschnitten schieben, damit sie euch den weiteren Weg ebnet.

Tipps zum Kampf

Messer

Messer sind unentbehrlich, wenn ihr in der Welt von The Last of Us überleben möchtet. Nur mit ihnen könnt ihr den Nahkampf mit einem Clicker überleben oder sie aus dem Hinterhalt ausschalten. Schaut daher, dass ihr immer einen Vorrat an Messern habt. Ehe ihr euch an den Bau von Splitterbomben macht, sollte euer Vorrat an Messern aufgefüllt werden.

Lauschmodus

Der Lauschmodus ist eure wohl wichtigste Waffe im Kampf gegen die Infizierten und gegen die Menschen. Aktiviert ihn immer, wenn ihr einen neuen Bereich betretet, um nicht ins offene Messer zu laufen. Ortet eure Feinde und schaut euch deren Laufwege an oder in welche Richtung sie sehen, um effektiv zuschlagen zu können.

Schulterblick wechseln

Solltet ihr einmal nicht den Überblick über eine Situation haben oder euch der Winkel, aus dem ihr seht, nicht ausreichen, dann könnt ihr die Seite, auf der ihr über die Schulter blickt, mit der R2-Taste wechseln.

Molotov-Cocktail/Splitterbomben

Setzt die Bomben und Cocktails nur gegen größere Gruppen von Gegnern oder gegen Bloater ein. Sie sind selten und wertvoll und sollten für die großen Konfrontationen aufgespart werden. Wartet deshalb ab und beobachtet mit dem Lauschmodus, wo sich besonders viele Feinde versammeln. Werft dann aus der Deckung heraus und zieht selbst den Kopf ein. Beachtet bei der Splitterbombe auch die verzögerte Sprengung. Ihr könnt ebenso mehrere verstreute Gegner mit einer Flasche oder einem Stein an eine Stelle locken, um sie dort mit Molly oder Bombe zu erledigen.

Waffen aufrüsten

Wann immer ihr Werkbänke findet, könnt ihr eure Waffen mit den gefundenen Bauteilen aufrüsten. Dabei gibt es bestimmte Werkzeugstufen. Diese reichen von eins bis fünf und erlauben euch mit der Zeit mehr und mehr Umbauten. Wir haben euch in unserer Komplettlösung die Fundorte dieser Werkzeuge und der Werkbänke beschrieben.

Um nicht wertvolle Munition liegen zu lassen, empfehlen wir euch zunächst einmal die Munitionskapazität einer Waffe aufzurüsten. Im Anschluss solltet ihr die Eigenschaft „Schaden“ verbessern. Zuletzt könnt ihr nach Belieben die Attribute „Rückstoß“ oder „Ladegeschwindigkeit“ aufwerten. Bei eurem Gewehr empfiehlt es sich, relativ früh in das Zielfernrohr und in die Panzerbrechung zu investieren. Gerade zum Ende hin, wo ihr oft gegen gepanzerte Gegner kämpft, lohnt sich die Anschaffung.

Nahkampfwaffen

Es gibt zahlreiche Nahkampfwaffen. Angefangen von Holzbrettern, über Baseballschläger und Stahlrohre bis hin zu Äxten im späteren Spiel. Sie alle haben eine Abnutzungsanzeige, was bedeutet, dass sie nach einigen Schlägen kaputt gehen. Am robustesten sind die Stahlrohre. Tauscht also eure Nahkampfwaffen wann immer es geht gegen Stahlrohre. Später im Spielverlauf erhaltet ihr die Möglichkeit, eure Nahkampfwaffen mit Messern aufzurüsten. Ein Schlag damit ist tödlich, weshalb diese Waffen von großem Wert sind.

New Game Plus

Startet ihr einen erneuten Durchlauf in The Last of Us, dann behaltet ihr die Skill-Level, die ihr bisher hattet. Allerdings tauchen die Waffen zu den gleichen Zeiten auf, wie bereits im ersten Durchlauf.

What is The Last of Us about

Actions will unfold in a world where 20 years ago, due to a mutation of Cordyceps fungi, people became infected with a virus and turned into zombies. The survivors live in quarantine zones guarded by the military and compete for resources. Amid the post-apocalyptic madness, smuggler Joel meets 14-year-old Ellie. The girl is immune to mutated cordyceps spores: by unraveling the secret of her immunity, it is possible to create a vaccine and save humanity.

The series is based on the computer game The Last of Us. In 2013, it was released by Sony Computer Entertainment specifically for the PlayStation 3 console. It was developed by the Naughty Dog studio (platformer Jak II, adventure shooter Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune).

The game was warmly received by users and critics. The Last of Us won five BAFTA Games Awards for Best Game, Action, Audio, Performer (Ashley Johnson as Ellie), and Story (writers Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann). [1

A remastered version of The Last of Us Remastered for PlayStation 4 was released in 2014. In 2020, a sequel to the original story, The Last of Us Part II, was released, its action takes place five years after the end of the first part. The Last of Us Part II holds the record for the prestigious BAFTA Games Award with 14 nominations and three wins. The game took home the awards for Best Animation, Best Leading Actress (Laura Bailey as Abby), and Best Game of the Year. [2] In 2022, The Last of Us Part I was presented for PlayStation 5.

The Last of Us is the first HBO series based on the game. The choice is largely due to the dramatic component of The Last of Us. Critics believe that the game has an incredible story in terms of the strength of the emotional impact. The characters’ stories are tragic, easy to empathize with, and the plot is fun to follow.

The Last of Us Actors

The series features two stars of the iconic Game of Thrones and several voice actors from The Last of Us. The creators moved away from the canon and added more actors of different nationalities.

Pedro Pascal (Joel) is an actor of Chilean origin. Gabriel Luna (Tommy) is Mexican. Bella Ramsay (Ellie) plays Lyanna Mormont in Game of Thrones. The daughter of the protagonist Joel Sarah is fair-skinned and fair-haired in the game, in the series she is played by British actress with African roots Nico Parker.

Joel Miller — Pedro Pascal

«The brightest man on television», «one of the sought-after talents in Hollywood», «an actor with incredible charisma» — this is how critics call Pascal lately. [3] [4] [5]

Pascal’s career began in 1999. He appeared in several TV series, the most famous for the Russian audience is Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He said that he wanted to work more then, but he was often offered the same type of Latin American gangster roles. To defeat this unfair pattern, Pedro even temporarily took the pseudonym Alexander. However, he soon returned to his own name. [6]

He received wide popularity and sympathy of the audience only after appearing in the cult TV series Game of Thrones. [7] In the fourth season, he played Oberyn Martell, an eccentric and loveable Dornish prince. This role revealed the versatility of Pascal’s acting talent, and already in 2015 he appeared in the Netflix series Narcos in the image of an American police officer from the DEA Javier Peña. In the third season, he became the main character. [8]

Another iconic role for Pascal was the Mandalorian from the Disney+ series of the same name (2019). Surprisingly, the actor spent most of the first season in a helmet and his face was hidden. There were rumors that because of this condition, Pascal wanted to leave the project, but the actor did not express this intention. On the contrary, he has repeatedly said that he sees no problems in the helmet and is ready to play the character the way the creators of the show intended. [9]

The biggest scandal that Pascal was involved in happened because of his posts on Twitter (blocked in Russia). He compared Donald Trump supporters to Nazis before deleting the tweet. It was not easy to get rid of public outrage — some demanded that the actor from The Mandalorian be fired. [10] Disney+ left the situation without comment, the scandal subsided.

Ellie — Bella Ramsay

Ashley Johnson (AWOL, What Women Want) worked on the voice acting and animation of Ellie using motion-capture for the video game. According to IMDB, the actress will guest star on the series. Her role is not yet known. [11]

Bella Ramsay’s choice to play Ellie has disappointed some The Last of Us fans. Basically, commentators made a complaint about the dissimilarity of the actress to the girl from the game. Pretty 14-year-old Ellie from The Last of Us reminded some users of Ellen Page (Juno, The Umbrella Academy). [12] Representatives of Naughty Dog said that the resemblance to the actress is an accident.

In an early version of The Last of Us, Ellie was especially similar to Ellen Page. The actress was very unhappy with this fact, as she did not take any part in the development of the game

Bella Ramsay doesn’t look like Ellie from the game, but that doesn’t mean she can’t handle a dramatic role. Acting professionalism Ramsay has already proved. In Game of Thrones from seasons six to eight, she played the striking role of Bear Island hostess Lyanna Mormont.

The little actress was so fond of the audience in the image of a harsh lady that the writers of the series David Benioff and Dan Weiss expanded the role. “Lyanna Mormont was only supposed to be in one scene, but Bella is such an incredible actress that we kept bringing her back because we wanted more Bella,” Benioff said. Bill — Nick Offerman

Bill is one of the survivors of the epidemic, companion of Joel and Ellie in Lincoln. In the game, the hero was voiced by Earl Brown (“True Detective”, “American Crime”), but Nick Offerman was called to the film adaptation. He is best known for his role as Ron Swanson in the mockumentary comedy Parks and Recreation. The actor also played in the films “We are the Millers”, “Pam and Tommy”, “Good Omens” and “The Resort”.

The first season of the show is being developed by Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions. This is the first television series for PlayStation Productions.

It is known that the script for the pilot episode was written by Craig Mazin. He worked on Superhero Movies, Scary Movie 3 and 4, but is best known for the HBO miniseries Chernobyl. Neil Druckmann, who worked on the story of the original game, was also invited as a screenwriter. “Neil Druckmann is without a doubt the best video game storyteller, and The Last of Us is his greatest work,” Mazin said of his colleague. According to IMDb, four episodes were directed by Jeremy Webb (Altered Carbon), three episodes by Ali Abbasi (Shelly), two by Kantemir Balagov (Heavy Tail), one episode each went to Neil Druckmann (game writer), Peter Hoare («Da Vinci’s Demons»), Lisa Johnson («Silicon Valley») and Jasmila Zbanich («On the Road»). The director of the first and second episodes was Kantemir Balagov. A graduate of the workshop of director Alexander Sokurov in 2017 made the film «Tightness». The debut of the young director received the prize of the International Federation of Film Press FIPRESCI at the Cannes Film Festival, two statuettes of Kinotavr and the Grand Prix of the film festival Zerkalo.

In 2019, Balagov’s second feature film, Dylda, was released. At the Cannes Film Festival, the film received two awards — the FIPRESCI Prize and the statuette for Best Director in the Un Certain Regard section. In March 2022, Balagov left Russia.

Balagov proved that he can make a poignant movie. If he manages to show at least half of his directorial talent in The Last of Us, he can gain a foothold in Hollywood.

Update as of 10/31/2022: Kantemir Balagov announced on Twitter (blocked in Russia) that his episode will not be in the series. He left The Last of Us due to creative differences. It is not yet known who became the director of the pilot episode of the project.

The first trailer for The Last of Us appeared on the official HBO Max YouTube channel on September 26, 2022. In less than a month, the video was viewed by more than 7.7 million people.

The video is accompanied by Hank Williams and The Drifting Cowboys «Alone And Forsaken»: the music plays in-game when Joel and Ellie are involved in an accident in Pittsburgh. By the way, the same scene was shown in the trailer. Looks incredibly similar.

The first part of the trailer almost frame by frame from the game shows the escape of the main characters from the city. The video was dismantled literally in seconds: the fans were satisfied. The creators of the show treated the material with care and showed many familiar locations, objects and references even in a minute. Those who have played The Last of Us will recognize Joel’s watch given to him by his daughter, the twin skyscrapers, the carousel scenes and the mysterious spotlights.

Viewers of the trailer were also satisfied with serial monsters. They are very similar to those that were in the game, and just as scary. [18]

The Last of Us release date

According to IMDb, the first season will have ten episodes. [19] Filming wrapped in June 2022. The series is currently in post-production.

The Last of Us will air on HBO in 2023. The exact date is unknown. The series will be available on HBO. In Russia, it is impossible to subscribe to the service itself, but Amediateka broadcasts the content of the American studio. In 2022, Russian viewers could watch HBO’s new releases — House of the Dragon, the fourth season of Westworld and The Gilded Age.
