Auch in Links Abenteuer auf der Nintendo Switch The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild könnt ihr das Masterschwert finden – obwohl sich Ganondorf sogar ohne die legendäre Klinge bezwingen lässt.
Das Master Sword ist zwar schon zu Beginn des Spiels auffindbar, aber um es in euren Besitz zu bringen, braucht ihr mindestens 13 Herzcontainer – Buffs durch Knochen zählen nicht.
Ihr findet das Schwert in den Verlorenen Wäldern, westlich von Eldin und nördlich vom Schloss Hyrule:
- Nehmt mindestens eine Fackel mit
- Lauft vom Eldin Turm Richtung Westen bis zum Turm der Wälder
- Klettert auf den Turm, um den Kartenabschnitt aufzudecken
- Fliegt vom Turm aus mit eurem Gleiter in die Verlorenen Wälder
- Folgt den Feuerschalen, bis ihr einen grinsenden Baum erreicht
- Entzündet die Fackel und folgt nun der Richtung, in der die Funken sprühen: Geradeaus, links, rechts, rechts, links
- Im Wald der Krogs findet ihr das Master Sword, für das ihr mindestens 13 Herzen benötigt, um es aus dem Stein zu ziehen
Das Master Sword ist in Breath of the Wild unzerbrechlich. Benutzt ihr es allerdings gegen einen anderen Gegner als Ganondorf, wird es nach mehreren Schlägen für kurze Zeit unbenutzbar.

Waiting is the hardest part
Star Fragments is one of the rarest and hardest to find materials in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild .
These shooting stars are the most valuable items in the game — they cost as much as some dragons drop. When you’re lucky enough to find them, you’ll be able to cook them, sell them, or give them to the Great Fairies to upgrade some of the best armor in the game.
How to find Star Fragments
If you’re really lucky, you might stumble upon a Star Fragment in a buried chest. But you do not have the opportunity to get as much as you want or need.
There is no guaranteed way to find Star Fragments, but you can improve your chances with a little work. And by work we mean sitting around doing nothing.
Shooting stars have their own incomprehensible logic, but there seem to be some rules.
- They show up at night (obviously), somewhere between 9pm and 3am.
- They fall somewhere in your line of sight—in other words, wherever you look when they appear. This means you can control where to land.
- They can appear on any night, but it seems (anecdotally) they appear more often during the full moon.
(However, this was not our experience.)
So, to maximize your chances of seeing and then finding a shooting star, you need somewhere with a line of sight over a relatively open piece of land. Shi Vanir Temple fits this bill perfectly — and it’s easy to get to as you can get to it quickly. It remains only to wait for the night.
Make a fire and sit by it until night (that’s 9 pm). Climb to the top of the peak, from where you will have a good view of the sky and the ground below you, and choose a direction. It looks good looking east towards the Hateno Tower and the village. Now wait. And wait. And probably wait a little more.
If all goes well, you will eventually see a shooting star. Watch where it lands — it will even have a beautiful yellow beacon. Use the telescope to place the pin on the star fragment (or as close to it as possible). You are in a bit of a hurry here because the star fragment will disappear at 5am. Head to the nearest shrine or tower (bearing in mind that the terrain can slow you down a lot) and drink the speed boost elixir if you have one.
All that’s left is to rush to the crash site and collect your prize.
The last hurdle you have to overcome is physics. A fragment of a star will not fall under the rules of gravity until you get close to it. This means it can stick to a cliff until you get close, and then fall to the ground below. This shouldn’t be a problem, but it’s something to watch out for.
However, if things go wrong — and this happened most often while we were experimenting with this — you just have to wait again. Return to your fire and light it again. Again sit until night and repeat the process — pick a direction and wait. Hope you have better luck this time.
How to use star fragments
You can sell a star fragment for 300 rupees.
You can also cook with it. Adding it to food will increase the health you get from eating, but not by much. Cooking with a Star Shard is pretty much a waste of a very rare item.
The most important use is to improve armor and equipment.
Items such as ancient armor, tiaras, and tiaras that you can buy in Gerudo City require Star Fragments to fully upgrade them.

10 Watch out for shooting stars at night
As most people may have noticed, star shards only drop at night and are extremely rare. This makes every occurrence of these rare items an important moment for players to capitalize on.
It goes without saying that players need to keep a close eye on shooting stars in the environment. They should mark their location on the map with pins or stamps as soon as possible so as not to miss these rare star fragments.
9 Reach the Star Fragment before 5am
Note that Star Fragments will disappear if the player does not reach them before sunrise. This event occurs at 5am in the game, regardless of location.
This forces players to revive themselves as soon as possible to get to these fragments. The judicious use of a horse in combination with speed boost elixirs or clothing will prove to be of great help in this regard.
8 Wait for the next night

To ensure that the RNG does not destroy the farm of the Star Fragment, the player must save the game and exit the game after finding the Star Fragment. This will reset their frequency and limit the frustration that can result from a few nights in an empty sky and no stellar fragments appearing.
4. Don’t keep bodies of water in line of sight at night
There are two things people need to know about Star Fragments. Firstly, they will always appear in the player’s field of view, and secondly, they will disappear when they enter a body of water.
