FORTNITE Season 10 map changes are already being confirmed as fans wait on more Battle Pass skins to be leaked.

UPDATE ONE: While we currently only have the skins featured in the Fornite Season 10 Trailer to go on for Battle Pass news, something new has been shared by Epic Games today.

This includes what looks to be the first Loading Screen for Season X, featuring a new mech vehicle which may even become a playable object.

You can clearly see figures piloting the armament, which appears to be the same one featured in recent Season 10 artwork. 

This will no doubt be listed in the patch notes if it is part of the Season 10 launch, the upside being that it could also be a new Season 10 Battle Pass skin.

ORIGINAL: Fortnite Season 10 will begin tomorrow, August 1, and fans are just starting to learn more about the map changes coming to the game.

It’s a big part of the seasonal change process, along with the release of a brand new Battle Pass.

Fortnite Season 10 will be following the same general formula for most of this, meaning that fans are waiting for some big skin leaks.

This has happened quite a lot in the past, sometimes stemming from different digital stores.

And it usually includes official Fortnite art being posted early, providing a big skins leak before the Battle Pass is revealed.

Fortnite fans will be keeping their eyes peeled for any big social media shares in the early hours, before Fortnite Season 10 is released.

Epic Games has confirmed that downtime will begin at around 9am, BST, followed by a big update being released after it has been completed.

Things are expected to get started early in the day so that fans will have plenty of time to enjoy Season 10 on Thursday.

And Epic Games are expected to share this information in the coming hours for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mobile and Nintendo Switch players.

The first big Fortnite map leak came in the form of the story trailer being shared today online. This appeared to be a mistake stemming from an official Fortnite account.

Since then, the official trailer has been released and includes a number of map hints for Season 10.

This includes one we already knew about, the return of Dusty Depot but the trailer itself offers some tantalising clues.

The Orb at Loot Lake looks set to explode, causing a rift in time to be opened up, potentially changing past events.

This could lead back to before the Meteor struck the map, meaning that Epic Games could change a number of map locations.

Season 10 could include a mix of new and old locations as part of the ongoing storyline, or there’s a chance that the dev team are looking to reboot the map entirely.

And from what was shared in today’s story trailer, it appears that whatever map changes are made, some of the newer vehicles and items will be available to use.

Another working theory is that Epic Games are going big for Season 10 by making map changes each week.

This would start with the original map and then work through the different locations and variants via updates. So that would mean the return of Tilted Towers, which would eventually be switched out with the Neo version.

But not all past locations are as cherished by fans, so it will be interesting to see precisely what makes the cut.

Does anyone really want to see the return of Anarchy Acres? And what version of Loot Lake can be described as the most popular?

Lucky for us, Epic Games will be revealing all with a Season 10 Battle Pass Trailer on August 1. The dev team’s release schedule only includes basic information for now, with today’s news still focused around the recent Fortnite World Cup.

“Over 19,000 fans attended the three-day Fortnite World Cup Finals in person at the sold-out Arthur Ashe Stadium,” a message from Epic Games reads.

“On Sunday during the Solo Finals, concurrent viewers peaked at over 2.3 million across YouTube and Twitch, making the Fortnite World Cup the most-watched competitive gaming event (excluding China) of all time.

“These numbers do not include fans watching in-game and on other streaming and social media platforms. We couldn’t have hosted such an event and showcased the top Fortnite players without your support. Thank you to the entire Fortnite community.”

    Fortnite Season 10: Karte – Alle neuen Orte und was sich auf der Map geändert hat

    Update: Epic hat die nächste Veränderung an der Karte vorgenommen. Diesmal hat ein Zeitriss Neo Tilted getroffen und die Zukunftsstadt in ihre Vergangenheit — der Westernstadt Tilted Town — zurückgeschickt. Genaueres dazu erfahrt ihr weiter unten auf der Seite.

    Season 10 steht — wie von vielen Fans vermutetet — ganz im Zeichen der Zeitreise. Im Verlauf der gesamten Saison werdet ihr dadurch immer wieder altbekannte Orte auf der Fortnite Map entdecken können, die man lange Zeit verloren glaubte. Nun tauchen diese Orte aus vergangenen Seasons wieder auf der Insel auf, allerdings nicht mehr so, wie man sie früher kannte, denn der Riss in der Zeit hat auch dort seine Spuren hinterlassen. Wir haben und die Änderungen an der Karte einmal genauer angesehen und zeigen euch nachfolgend, was sich alles auf der Insel getan hat.

    So sieht die neue Map im Vergleich zur Alten aus

    Stellt man die alte Season-9-Karte der neuen Season 10-Map gegenüber, fällt auf, dass es auf den ersten Blick gar nicht so viele Änderungen gibt. Einzig der fehlende Krater von Dusty Divot sticht hervor, an dem nun wieder das ursprüngliche Dusty Depot steht.

    Ihr müsst jetzt aber nicht enttäuscht sein, denn das ist erst der Anfang. Anstatt alle Änderungen auf einmal auf die Karte zu klatschen, werden im Verlauf der Season immer wieder neue «alte» Areale hinzukommen, die ihr erkunden könnt. Außerdem gibt es doch noch ein paar Änderungen, die auf der kleinen Karte nicht zu sehen sind. Mehr dazu erfahrt ihr nachfolgend.

    Zukunftsstadt Neo Tilted wird zur Westernstadt Tilted Town (Woche 2)

    Epic hat zu Beginn der zweiten Woche Inhalts-Update #1 für Patch 10.0 nachgereicht, das weitere Folgen der Risse im Raum-Zeit-Kontinuum zeigen. Diesmal hat ein Riss Neo Tilted erwischt und die einstige Metropole einige Jahrhunderte in der Zeit zurückbefördert. Nun findet ihr dort eine Westernstadt vor, die von Büchsenmacher bis Salon alles bietet, was man aus einem guten Western-Film kennt. Selbst die ersten Anzeigen des früheren Uhrenturms sind schon zu sehen.

    Die Besonderheit an dem, von einer bläulichen Kuppel umhüllten Gebiet ist, dass ihr in Tilted Town weder bauen noch irgendwelche Gebäude für Ressourcen zerstören könnt. Ein Blick ist der neue Ort aber trotzdem wert, denn nur dort findet ihr — passend zum Zeitalter — alte Waffen, die bislang im Tresor eingelagert waren (Doppelläufige Schrotflinte, Schießeisen, Jagdgewehr, Infanteriegewehr). Nun könnt ihr also pünktlich zu High Noon ein Duell mit eurem «Peacekeeper» vor dem Saloon austragen.

    Dusty Depot aus Season 3 ist zurück… inklusive Fabrik und Meteor (Woche 1)

    Wie man es nach dem ersten Teaser-Bild zu Season 10 vermutet hatte, kehrt das ursprüngliche Dusty Depot mit seinen drei großen Lagerhallen und dem südwestlich gelegenen, namenlosen Fabrikgelände zurück auf die Karte. Die Gebäude wurden am Ende von Season 3 durch den Einschlag eines Meteoriten zerstört, der nun ebenfalls zurück ist.

    Der Irrstern ist allerdings in der Zeit eingefroren und schwebt nun drohend in der Luft über der Dusty Depot Fabrik. Epic hatte ja angekündigt, dass die Orte, die aus der Vergangenheit zurückkehren, nicht mehr dieselben sind, die man von früher kannte. Das betrifft in diesem Fall nicht die Gebäude am Boden — die sehen nämlich noch genauso aus, wie damals — sondern den Meteoriten. Da der glühende Gesteinsbrocken diesmal unbeweglich in der Luft hängt, könnt ihr ihn euch genauer ansehen, denn er ist im inneren von Tunneln und Höhlen durchzogen.

    Betretet ihr den Kometen durch die Tunnel auf der West- oder Nordseite, findet ihr das Geheimnis des Meteors: Die offenstehende Kapsel des Besuchers, von dem jegliche Spur fehlt.

    Die Natur rund um das Skelett des Monsters Cattus nimmt seltsame Farben an (Woche 1)

    Das im Showdown-Event von Riesenroboter «Doggus» niedergestreckte Monster «Cattus» hinterließ am Ende von Season 9 ein großes Skelett, das schnell von der Natur zurückerobert wurde. In Season 10 wuchert die Fauna weiter, nimmt dabei aber eine seltsame Farbe an, was wohl an den Rückständen des Monsters liegt. Alles Pflanzliche, das davon erfasst wird, nimmt eine rotviolette Farbe an. Wie weit sich das Ganze noch ausbreitet und welche Auswirkungen das mit sich bringt, werden wir wohl in den nächsten Wochen erfahren.

    Fortnite Season 10: Sieht zwar schön aus, doch welche Gefahren bringt das mit sich?

    Die Nullpunktenergie-Kugel bei Loot Lake ist außer Kontrolle (Woche 1)

    Wie von den Fans vermutet und im Season 10 Trailer bestätigt, ist die Energiekugel in der Mitte von Loot Lake schließlich außer Kontrolle geraten und hat eine Schockwelle durch Raum und Zeit geschickt. Die Kugel ist nach wie vor da, allerdings scheint sie und ihre Umgebung in einer Zeitstarre gefangen zu sein. Alles ist erstarrt und diverse Objekte schweben ohne Schwerkraft in der Luft, was übrigens auch für euch gilt, wenn ihr den Bereich der Schockwelle betretet. Doch Vorsicht: Im Erfassungsgebiet ist eure Sicht getrübt und ihr könnt nicht so weit sehen, wie es normal der Fall ist.

    Fortnite Season 10: Einfach ignorieren… Hat von selbst angefangen, hört von selbst wieder auf (vielleicht).

    Weitere kleine Änderungen zum Start von Saison X

    Abgesehen von den drei oben genannten auffälligsten Neuerungen, gibt es auch noch einige kleinere Änderungen auf der Karte. Häufig sind es nur kleinere Unterschiede, die erst beim zweiten oder dritten Blick auffallen:

    • Die großen Windräder im Nordwesten der Karte sind verschwunden

      Mit Season 9 wurden auf den Bergen im rund um Pleasant Park sieben große Windräder errichtet, die mit Seilrutschen zu den Gipfeln verbunden waren. Sie waren Teil der Herausforderung Besuche im Verlauf eines Matches 5 verschiedene Windkraftanlagen. Mit Season 10 sind diese Energielieferanten nun wieder verschwunden.

    • Das raumschiffartige Gebäude ist weg, dafür ist der große Stuhl wieder da

      Das raumschiffartige Gebäude kennt ihr wohl noch von der Suche nach Fortbyte 19. Es steht vor einer namenlosen Raststätte mit Taco-Laden ein kleines Stück südlich von Shifty Shafts (Planquadrat D8). Früher stand dort mal ein gigantischer Holzstuhl, der im Laufe der Seasons entfernt wurde. Dank der vielen Zeitrisse ist dieses alte Monument nun wieder zurückgekehrt und bringt Veteranen ins Schwelgen.

    • Viele Windkanäle wurden entfernt

      In Season 9 war es dank den Windkanälen ein leichtes, sich schnell über die Karte zu bewegen. In Season 10 sind die meisten Windkanalräder verschwunden, was insbesondere die große Kreisbahn entlang Neo Tilted, Shifty Shafts, Fatal Fields, Mega Mall, Dusty Divot und Loot Lake betrifft. Einzig zentral rund um Neo Tilted und in Mega Mall gibt es noch Windkanäle, mit denen ihr euch jedoch nur noch innerhalb der Orte bewegen könnt.

    • Himmelsplattformen und Zeppeline sind davon geflogen

      Ein weiteres Feature, das mit Season 9 eingeführt wurde, waren die fliegenden Zeppeline über Neo Tilted und die sieben Himmelsplattformen, die über der Insel schwebten. Letztere waren Teil vieler Herausforderungen und ein recht beliebtes Element, doch nun sind sie allesamt davongeflogen.

    • Kugler und Quad-Rammen wurden entfernt, dafür gibt es nun Mechs

      Mit Season 10 hat Epic zahlreiche Maßnahmen getroffen, um die Bewegungsgeschwindigkeit auf der Insel zu reduzieren. Dafür wurden nicht nur die Windkanäle beschnitten oder die Himmelsplattformen davongejagt, sondern auch die Fahrzeuge «Kugler» und «Quad-Ramme» vollständig von der Karte verbannt. Als Ausgleich schickt man und die neuen Mechs — B.I.E.S.T. genannt — aufs Feld. Drei davon werden zeitgleich mit den Spielern und an zufälligen Stellen über der Insel abgeworfen. Ihr könnt ihre Position jederzeit auf der Karte sehen, nachdem sie gelandet sind. Ach ja, die Hoverboards gibt es übrigens noch als Transportmittel.

    And it’s very interesting how epic games will do with fresh and well-developed locations like the New Towers and the Giant Hypermarket. It is unlikely that we will say goodbye so quickly to the fact that the developers have been finalizing for so long.

    When will season 10 start?

    Season 10 began on August 1, 2019, as usual, at 12 Moscow time. It was initially known that the season would be delayed, however, it was not clear that Epic Games would take a two-week vacation. It also lengthened the season and the fact that the Fortnite World Cup was held within only 9season and the next did not apply.

    Season 10 will end on October 6th.

    Season 10 Battle Pass will cost 950 V-bucks. Their best farm is of course PvE or previous Battle Pass rewards (1500 V-bucks can be earned on average). If you do not plan to earn, but only to spend, then an excellent solution would be to buy 1000 V-bucks through the store on your own.

    Since 9the season is still going on, we don’t really know what to expect in season 10. Yes, there is a monster, yes, there is a robot. But how much this will affect the new plot is known only to the developers themselves, and we can only speculate. And the meteorite that hung over the treacherous funnel does not add any ideas to our piggy bank.

    There are already some theories confirming the connection between the dragon eggs from season 7 and the monster from the current one. Since the eggs were in the Polar Peak, after hatching, the first thing the monster did was destroy the building that interfered with it. And since the robot and the monster are equidistant from each other, the second seeks to get close and strike.

    The detected countdown of the Cattus event and in-game posters tell us that:

    • the event will be announced in a few days
    • there will be only one winner in the battle
    • the slain will die, and the survivor will determine the atmosphere and plot of the new season

    On the original map of the 10th season there are no cardinal changes and from the new (forgotten old) only a warehouse.
