Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled offers both online and split screen multiplayer options.

Charging Nintendo Switch Controllers With a Charging Dock

Make it easier to charge your Nintendo Switch Controllers by using the ChargePlay Quad.

In Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, you can dive into either split screen or online multiplayer. Not only is this great for racing with friends, but it also adds another layer of difficulty as you’ll be able to challenge opponents, rather than the game’s AI. Of course, if you’re new to Crash Team Racing, figuring out the multiplayer component can be a bit of a challenge.

To help, we’ve put together a quick guide breaking down how to play multiplayer in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled.

As noted above, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled offers both split screen and online multiplayer options. To access multiplayer in Crash Team Racing, you’ll need to navigate to the Main Menu. From there, select the online multiplayer option by choosing “Online” and either join an existing lobby via matchmaking, or setting up your own lobby and having people randomly join in.

An internet connection is required, as are services like Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch Online, and PlayStation Plus in order to race online. Meanwhile, you can also play split screen multiplayer with friends by creating a “Private Match” and inviting your friends directly (as long as they’re online), or by selecting “Friends” and creating a local lobby.

As long as your controllers properly set up, all your friends need to do is tap A on Xbox One, X on PlayStation 4, or B on Nintendo Switch to join your “Friends” lobby. Keep in mind that split screen multiplayer is only available through a local lobby or Private Match. You can’t race with your friends in an “Online” lobby with other online players.

It’s nice that you have the option to play with your friends online, or from the comfort of your home via split screen multiplayer. Of course, it can be a pain to set up multiplayer lobbies. With that in mind, we also recommend matchmaking into an Online match. For more on multiplayer in Crash Team Racing, check out the video below courtesy of YouTube user ProfasiaGaming!

Dark Horse: Team Sonic Racing PS4 Review

Team Sonic Racing seemed to be an outsider from the very beginning.
I was also skeptical about the game, after all, she tries
parasitize on someone else’s idea, and then there’s a remake of Crash Team Racing
Nitro-Fueled is coming soon. It is clear that neither big sales nor
gamers’ delight is not to be expected. But after many hours in TSR her
I would like to recommend despite serious competitors and strange
errors. It has something of its own, fascinating, consisting of
a few, not numerous, pronounced advantages.

The backstory of the rides of the Sonicverse characters on cute
small cars are so simple and hacky that you forget about
her ten minutes later. Some king of something gathered everyone there, goals
unclear. Dialogues, without further ado, just stupid, at the level of Mighty
no. 9. The voice acting, by the way, also resembles this creation of Inafune.
Considering that Team Sonic Racing was also engaged in Koch Media, the similarity
though logical, but not at all justified, because every actor here
replays, and a third of the characters resemble insane idiots,
who cannot make sentences longer than
three or four words.

The main single player mode called «Team Adventure»
represents several schematic locations on which
scattered race icons. Go to the next level more often
everything is possible in more than one way, but before each race you can, as
written in the interface, «listen to the story» — a short remark
some character with no context that leads nowhere.
There are two separate buttons to start the race — with listening
replicas and without. As if Sumo Digital itself understood how many people
such a hack would be interesting. It doesn’t really matter, but why
waste extra resources, it is not clear. Most importantly, the organization
«Adventures», though not original at all, but it works quite well —
time-tested scheme.

Team Sonic Racing is based on the idea of simple team racing.
There are five teams of Sonicverse characters, three each.
Techies can drive on water and sand without slowing down, security officials
pass through obstacles without noticing them, and representatives
high-speed type neutralize flying enemy projectiles.
Of course, each has its own variation in characteristics, from protection to
acceleration. Interaction consists in transferring bonuses to each other
and an accelerating trail similar to Need for Speed: Carbon. As soon as
the command strength scale is full, you can turn on a special afterburner and
high speed to ram rivals. This simple mechanic
complement the golden rings that increase the maximum speed,
bonuses, as well as drifts and tricks that give short-term acceleration. AND
Now the game doesn’t seem so easy anymore, does it? On
in fact, the core gameplay in TSR is quite fun and moderately
deep.

There are problems, of course. For example, some bonuses are almost
useless — you can hit the enemy with a simple bomb only in one
case out of five. Attacking things, in principle, seem more
situational and designed to be passed on to comrades, because they are also
are amplified in this way (no joke, three missiles against one!). At
playing alone for obvious reasons to combine and discuss
transfer of bonuses is unrealistic. But compared to more major
cons, it’s so nitpicking. In essence, there are only three main
modes — regular team races, knockout races and races on
best circle. For some reason, only these three modes are available in the quick
single player, in multiplayer there is not even a “best lap”, but in
The «adventure» of various entertainments is more than enough — collecting rings in
skidding, destroying eggs with rockets, slalom and all that.
These amusements, unlike racing at the usual difficulty level,
quite complex, but no less exciting.

There are also mirror tracks and modest hints of «mutators» in the form
individual semi-hacky regimes, but in general there is a feeling that
The game just doesn’t know what it’s good for. Hiding the fun, go ahead
sticks out the notorious loot boxes containing upgrade items and
customization. All of them are strictly individual for each hero, as
you might have already guessed. So, if you tune the car yet
more or less interesting (each upgrade improves some and worsens
other characteristics), then customization is a complete failure. Total
a few vinyls — what can we talk about? This is simply not
want to practice. And also, for example, the body of the machine, affecting
characteristics, may turn out to be completely golden, huge and
just hide your favorite and only sticker. knock out
items in this case will have one from each loot box,
painfully waiting for the animation for several seconds. Sometimes you finish
several races and you sit and open a dozen of these «capsules»,
without even thinking about the content. Can’t open everything at once
capsules, these animations cannot be instantly skipped. By the way, the interface
in principle, it is quite slow and overloaded with unnecessary animations.
A trifle, but unpleasant.

I was also upset that the multiplayer before the release simply could not be assessed
— it was completely empty. There are matchmaking, private rooms and
voice chat, but how well does it all work,
unknown. If there are no problems, then race
the team will have fun. Long TSR in multiplayer is certainly not
hold — the depth of the mechanic is a bit different. On the other hand, hold
there will be no shame in it for several hours, but split-screen in general
written according to the recipe of the genre.

None of the above makes Sonic Team Racing unique
good game. The reason for the very steep slopes that look
bright, and differ significantly in design and geometry. Trails in
clouds, on the roofs of buildings, in ice caves, in casinos — what is there
just no. Optional details are also impressive — the roadbed in
air fixed with propellers from aircraft, in the casino instead
there will be chips, crabs are waiting on the shore, and so on. Sumo
Digital just surpassed itself, I did not expect from the studio so
quality work. Moreover, the list is quite extensive — 21 tracks.
I want to study each and see what else is in the game
unusual, what else the developers came up with. To help them
by the way, they assigned a permanent composer of Sonic games named Jun
Senoue. Believe me, this man knows his business — how cool
tracks in this game, just as cool soundtrack. If, of course,
mix of classic tunes for the series, sugar j-pop and
light rock does not scare.

Now I’m sitting and I can’t deny myself the pleasure of going through one more
track, followed by another, and so on. Yes, let the game look a little
Mario Kart 8 is better, but otherwise it even loses a little, its
she has charm. Now, if there were no strange metamorphoses in
pricing…

Don’t underestimate Team Sonic Racing in terms of tracks
soundtrack, it overtakes competitors. Some mechanics are not finished
mind, others seem just superfluous, while having fun in
it doesn’t work to the full, but the game has everything to captivate a minimum
for a few hours.
