THE Battlefield 5 release date is fast approaching but falls at different times, making the answer to the question of when does Battlefield 5 release on PS4 and Xbox One a little more complicated.

Officially, everyone will be able to play Battlefield 5 on November 20, 2018. That means all platforms, including PS4, Xbox One and PC.

But there are also a number of different ways to access the game before this date, making it all a little more complicated.

If you’re planning on playing Battlefield 5 on PC, you have the chance to start your online and offline adventures first.

Fans who want to get playing BF5 early can do so through Origin Access Premier.

This PC option means that Battlefield 5 will be available to play later this week, on Friday, November 9.

“Want to skip the trials and barriers and get right to all-out war as soon as possible? One of the best ways to play Battlefield V early is with Origin Access Premier for PC,” EA explains.

“Not only will you get to play the full game first, but you’ll also score all the Deluxe Edition extras like five Sets of Paratrooper Outfits and the chance to take on Special Assignments and Starter Assignments, 20 weekly Airlifts, the Firestorm Ranger Set, one additional Special Soldier Set, and immediate access to five Battlefield 1 Weapons.”

Joining the Origin Access Premier program also gives you access to these other perks:

  • Full access to the Battlefield V Deluxe Edition, starting November 9
  • Early access to upcoming games such as Anthem (coming February 15, 2019)
  • An instant (and growing) library of over 125 games like EA SPORTS™ Madden NFL 19, EA SPORTS™ FIFA 18, and more
  • A 10% discount on all Origin digital purchases

But as mentioned above, this is just one of a number of ways to play Battlefield 5 before November 20.

There’s also a ten-hour a trial that can be accessed on PC on November 9, via Origin Access Basic.

You’ll be able to access all multiplayer modes and maps available at launch plus the Prologue and Under No Flag single-player War Story.

WHAT ABOUT PS4 AND XBOX ONE?

Unfortunately for PS4 players, they are the group of fans who have the least amount of options to choose from.

You can start playing BF5 on PS4 as early as November 15, if you Pre-order the Battlefield V Deluxe Edition.

This comes with a few other in-game rewards which can be found on both Xbox One and PC.

On Xbox One, the option to pre-order the game is also available, but there is another way to start playing Battlefield 5 early.

Xbox fans can try out Battlefield 5 for ten hours starting on November 9 with the EA Access Play First Trial.

You’ll be able to access all multiplayer modes and maps available at launch plus the Prologue and Under No Flag single-player War Stories. And if you decide to buy the game, your progress carries over.

Unlike Xbox One and PC, there is no EA Access program on PS4, meaning your earliest option is November 15.

It’s a dizzying amount of ways to play Battlefield 5 at different times; however, November 20 will be the final release date for everyone else.

Game performance analysis channel VG Tech has posted a new video testing the Battlefield V multiplayer beta for the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X consoles.

Actual shooter build for Sony set-top box uses dynamic scaling ranging from 2080×1170 to 3200×1800 pixels, with the upper threshold rarely reached. With the Microsoft console , the situation is similar, but the resolution numbers are slightly higher — from 2844×1600 to 3840×2160 pixels. In both cases, a chess rendering method is used to achieve the declared resolutions, and on the PS4 Pro, in addition, the downsampling function is supported when outputting images to 1080p TVs.

In terms of performance, both consoles are currently unable to maintain a stable frame rate at the claimed 60 frames, showing an average of about 50-55 FPS with drawdowns up to 40-45 depending on the number of effects in the frame. More detailed statistics can be found here .
