Scientists explain why intelligent life is such a rare anomaly. For a planet to be habitable, many specific factors must come together at the same time. However, despite all the arguments, almost half of Russians believe that alien civilizations exist, and another third admit their existence. This is evidenced by the results of a survey site KP.RU.
47% of Russians are sure that humanity cannot be such a unique species, which means that alien civilizations exist somewhere in the universe.
“Of course there is, the universe is boundless, and we can observe only a small fraction of it. Perhaps that’s how it’s meant to be. We cannot coexist peacefully on the same planet, where else do we need aliens, ”says a participant in the survey.
Another 33% of respondents admit that they admit the existence of alien life, but do not really believe that humanity will ever be able to meet with these civilizations.
“I believe that they exist somewhere, but it is unlikely that we will meet them… Although, anything can happen,” a research participant smiles.
“Perhaps there is. It’s just that the meeting hasn’t taken place yet,” another nods.
“Maybe we live in isolation? And the alien mind will not show up until we grow up? ”, — suggests the third.
Those who do not believe in aliens are in the minority. 6% said that they did not have confidence, but most likely, extraterrestrial civilizations still do not exist. Respondents added that if the existence of aliens is ever proven, they will be very surprised.
But those who categorically do not believe in extraterrestrial inhabitants turned out to be only 9%. So the category of Russians said that aliens are nothing more than fairy tales and fantasies, there is no weighty evidence that they can exist.
“Fairy tales, there are no aliens. Who saw them? It’s all ufologists who come up with fables, ”says one of the survey participants.
The remaining 5% said they found it difficult to answer the question.

About the EXEED brand and the TXL car
The EXEED brand is owned by the Chinese car company Chery, which registered it at the end of 2018 as a premium division and began to promote it in foreign markets.
In addition to China, today this brand is present in six countries. Among them is Russia.
The EXEED range is currently represented by three crossovers. The middle one — TXL — after a recent restyling and the release of the Sport Edition package, became the hero of the test.

A couple of years ago, TXL was a pioneer in the Russian market. On November 21st, he experienced an update, and on June 22nd he received a two-liter turbo engine and top-level accessories. The model belongs to mid-size crossovers (length 4780 mm) and is based on the proprietary M3X platform, created jointly with Benteler, designed, among other things, for rechargeable hybrids. However, in our market, the company is still promoting exclusively gasoline all-wheel drive options.

What has changed
After restyling, EXEED received a massive — almost the entire width of the body — radiator grille integrated into the bumper. LED fogs are now lined up vertically.
Don’t forget about aerodynamics. Side «slots» divert the oncoming flow into the wheel arches, reducing drag. The rear bumper is also stylistically monumental and in the lower part technocratically draws out exhaust pipes divorced at the edges.

What’s under the hood
Russian marketers compare EXEED TXL with premium models of the big German three BMW X3, Mercedes GLC, Audi Q3, Japanese Lexus RX and Korean Genesis GV70. But with the only 1.6 engine with which the model was previously offered, this was not entirely correct. Now, the two-liter 197 hp engine of the Acteco series has raised the power bar almost to the level of the starting versions of eminent competitors.

Almost everything in the engine compartment is covered with plastic panels.
the four-cylinder aluminum petrol unit with direct injection and turbine is relatively young, but not new. This is the fruit of cooperation between Chery and the Austrian engineering company AVL. It has been put on the older VX model in the Chinese market for a couple of years and more recently on the TIGGO 8 pro max, but here it is derated to 197 hp. Peak thrust of 375 N/m is available from 2000 rpm.
The powertrain is paired with a Getrag 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. She does not have a forced lock, but the response speed is seven hundredths of a second.
The visual minus of the engine compartment is the almost complete absence of seals along the contour of the hood, and sound insulation on the plastic engine cover. There is no oil dipstick, like on many modern engines, only electronic.
About interior decoration
Cars from the Middle Kingdom have always won against competitors, thanks to interior decoration and equipment.
The EXEED TXL also sets new standards in terms of materials, logic and driver-friendly positioning.

“Perhaps the design ideas are not new, but they are implemented in a new form at a qualitatively pleasant level,” Evgeny Kolesnikov confirms.
Those who are already familiar with the restyled version of the TXL 1.6 will note the completely new central “torpedo” shelf that separates the driver from the passenger. It now has a convenient full-fledged T-shaped transmission joystick in the form of a lever (it works without delay). As well as a lodgement for wireless charging of a smartphone, a hidden compartment for cup holders. Instead of a touch pad to control the volume of the media system, they placed a duplicate convenient washer with a pair of associated keys — this is much more convenient.
Heated mirrors, windshield, steering wheel, and both rows of seats are a fixed standard on the two-liter TXL. The front seats are electrified and have eight directions of adjustment (with memory for the driver), and are also equipped with ventilation. Some of the nice additions include a top-of-the-line pair of new USB type C charging connectors and a built-in DVR.

How do you behave during the trip?
A high level of sound insulation is felt from the first kilometers of movement. The developers have worked in several directions: insulation of the engine compartment, double front side windows and an increased thickness of the windshield. Insulation of arches, in the rear felt molded sheets. And finally, the quiet Continental UC6 tires that Exeed comes with from the factory.
When making sharp maneuvers, they help you maintain an ideal trajectory following the turn of the steering wheel.
“Several times I tried to break the rear axle into a skid at a speed of 70 km/h, simulating a detour of a sudden obstacle, but all in vain,” says Evgeny Kolesnikov.
The expert notes that suspension tuning, the agility of the stabilization system and another 15 related electronic assistants play a key role in handling. The new version of ESP 9 is responsible for their work..3 from BOSCH: its quad-core processor is faster and more precise, and allows you to selectively respond to changing road conditions, thus ensuring safety.

EXEED TXL is currently the leader in China’s C-Ncap security assessment program. He scored 93.6% in the total, ahead of such “classmates” as Toyota RAV4 (90.5%), Hyundai SantaFe (89.6%) and even Audi Q5 (93.4%)

At the same time, the TXL has control modes hardwired into the computer that radically change the character of the car.
“Moreover, this range of EXEED is so large that it changes from a wheeled vegetable to a hunting predator always ready to jump.
Sport mode, with near-instantaneous throttle response, consistently holding higher engine speeds, and high steering feel, is my favorite. And it was “in sports” that, according to my measurements, the TXL reached a speed of 100 km/h from a standstill in less than 8.5 seconds,” Evgeny Kolesnikov notes.
Braking performance is also decent. The Chinese claim that from a speed of 100 to 0, the TXL will “slow down” in just 36.5 meters, which is less than the Evoque, GLC or Q5 require.
“I didn’t measure it, but it seems to be true, although the EXEED nosedive does more than I would like. However, this is certainly not the case in normal modes, but the brake pedal is a little softer than you expect, ”says the expert.
Suspension comfort is what Toyota fans will love about the TXL.
“A Chinese man works out almost all urban types of road obstacles – tram rails, junctions, small asphalt potholes and speed bumps. However, this softness goes sideways when I drove onto country roads with pits, potholes and gravel.
The body sways on the suspension more than we would like, and this forces the driver to slow down, ”comments Evgeny Kolesnikov.
EXEED TXL is an urban crossover, but it can overcome relatively easy and not very difficult obstacles.
“On a sandy field, I even managed to “play smart”, by the way, the car demonstrates neutral steering in turns, avoiding both front end drifts and stern skids. But the all-wheel drive clutch is not designed for a long axle box, and literally after three minutes of “prancing” on the sand with the stabilization system turned off, it said goodbye to me for a while, highlighting a warning about overheating on the scoreboard,” said Evgeny Kolesnikov.
