Sims 4: Fundament bauen — so gehen Sie vor

Das Fundament für ein Haus in Sims 4 bauen Sie im Prinzip schon mit jedem einzelnen Raum mit. Damit es sichtbar wird, müssen Sie das Gebäude jedoch anheben. Das klappt mit ein paar wenigen Klicks.

Anders als in Sims 3, müssen Sie im vierten Teil des beliebten Simulationsspiels das Fundament für Ihre Häuser nicht einzeln bauen.
- Klicken Sie im Baumodus auf die Wände und erstellen Sie den Grundriss Ihres Hauses.
- Sobald Sie die letzte Wand ziehen, können Sie anschließend den Raum mit einem [Linksklick] auswählen und es erscheinen ein paar Pfeile.
Möchten Sie den Raum verändern, ziehen Sie einfach die entsprechenden Pfeile in die jeweilige Richtung.
- Um das Fundament zu bauen, müssen Sie das Haus lediglich nach oben versetzen. Halten Sie dafür den Mauszeiger über dem Pfeil gedrückt, den Sie mittig im Raum finden und der nicht in die verschiedenen Himmelsrichtungen, sondern nach oben und unten zeigt. Nun bewegen Sie die Maus nach oben.
- Wichtig: Anders als bei Sims 3 werden gesetzte Türen und Fenster direkt mit verschoben. Sie müssen sich also keine Sorgen machen, falls Sie diese bereits gekauft und eingesetzt haben.
- Sind Sie mit der Höhe des Fundaments zufrieden, lassen Sie den Mauszeiger einfach wieder los. Nun können Sie das Fundament noch farblich verändern und auch erhöhen oder wieder senken.
- Alternativ platzieren Sie mit dem Plattform-Tool ein Fundament auf dem Boden und ziehen darauf anschließend Ihre Wände bauen. Auch hier können Sie anschließend den kompletten Raum anheben oder senken.

If you’ve opened up the Gallery, you’ve likely seen some amazing creations, from absurd mansions to mind-bending homes. And we often see the same question: how do they do that?! That’s what inspired us to invite members of the community to teach you how they build the amazing things you can find on the Gallery.
Today, we wanted to show off ways to upgrade and improve your Sim’s outdoor patio! We invited popular builder Deligracy to write up some tips on creating a beautiful outdoor patio in The Sims 4. Below is her guide*.
Hello! I’m going to teach you how to make a beautiful outdoor patio adorned with cascading greenery.
It’s a little bit fancy and uses some stuff from The Sims 4 Romantic Garden Stuff Pack**!
When creating any kind of build I always aim to be experimental in order to come up with a unique outcome. For this patio, I make use of the “Move Objects cheat” which allows me to overlap and intersect objects. You’ll need to turn this on before we start. Turn it on by typing ctrl-shift-c, then entering “bb.moveobjects”. Press enter.
Step One: Start to create the shape. Make an Octagonal shape to this size an increase the foundation to a suitable height. Add flooring with an outdoorsy feel, as well as fencing. It’s good to match the colors of these. Finally pop in some stairs at the front with a width of two steps.
Step Two: Grab an awning. I like this awning from The Sims 4 Get Together Expansion Pack. Repeat the awning to create another Octagonal shape (use the ‘>’ keys to rotate) with the columns facing outwards, we want our space to be as big as possible!
Step Three: Start creating the interior.
Use a glass table and again, repeat the table to create an Octagonal shape. Glass works best or dark colors to ensure there is no visual glitches during gameplay. This allows us to create a rounded table for Sims to eat at! This technique works well with coffee tables too.
Step Four: Decorate with chairs. To add a little of the vintage trend, I’m picking a selection of mismatched chairs. Place these around your table, they will snap to the tables as you place them.
Step Five: Light it up. It’s all about the hanging lights! Place your favorite hanging lights over the table, I promise this will look amazing at the end! You can change the colors of them during live mode to create a beautiful ambience at night fall.
Step Six: Decorate the rest! I’m adding a BBQ and planters, as well as the base game vintage tea set, flowers and some yummy treats, this patio is going to be great for entertaining. Skill building objects such as an easel, chess table and yoga mat could work too depending on what you want to use it for.
Step Seven: Bring it all together. Turn your grid on and move up a level. Draw the low fencing in any pattern over your placed awnings. Delete any floor tiles, then adorn the top of the patio with shrubbery. I personally like to size up a base game shrub using the bracket key (]) to cover my patios.
Step Eight: Add the final details. Ta-dah! Here is a gorgeous, vine-covered patio with hanging lights. I added some draped curtains from the Movie Hangout Stuff Pack, just to be a little fancier!

How to install an add-on?
To install The Sims 4 add-on content, download the desired mod files and place them (.package format) in your Mods folder. By default it is located at: (C:/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods.
If you have downloaded the archive, don’t forget to unpack it and place only files of the specified format into the Mods folder.
To remove an unwanted mod from the game, simply delete the corresponding file from the Mods folder.

Tips for running a restaurant in The Sims 4 Dine Out Game Pack

If you chose The Sims 4 Dine Out Game Pack*, you’ve probably already sent your Sims to a well-deserved dinner at a trendy restaurant.
But what if you want to create your own restaurant? Below are some tips for creating 5-star restaurants for your Sims.
Buy and place a restaurant. Before serving the first course, you need to buy a restaurant. Build a restaurant (or get one from My Library) and then choose a Sim to buy it. Click on the «Ownership» button in the lower right corner of the screen, select the «Buy Restaurant» option and select a lot.
Find funds. The family budget is different from the business budget. Don’t forget to click on the «Transfer Funds» button in the «Ownership» panel to invest in the business. This money will be needed to buy furniture, pay for advertising and pay salaries to staff. You will have to invest well if you want to succeed in the future!
Hire cheap workers first. Click on the «Manage workers» button in the «Ownership» panel and hire staff. You will need at least one chef, one administrator and one waiter.
You can hire more experienced workers, but they will cost more, which can be difficult for a new restaurant. In addition, you can train employees and turn them into real professionals.
Check out the skills of a chef. When compiling a menu for a restaurant, you just need to take into account the skills of the chef! Some recipes will be more difficult to cook, which can be seen in the menu edit panel. If the chef doesn’t do his job by trying to prepare set dishes, the diners will be dissatisfied. You need to choose what you are willing to spend your money on. A good chef can be a great investment.
Watch the process. You will have to watch the staff in action to understand how things are going. If their behavior is not very clear, watch the reactions above the visitors’ heads. You will see more or less stars, depending on the work of the attendants. Remember to scold employees if they behave disrespectfully, or invest in their further education to correct mistakes in the future.
If any of the staff is doing a bad job, don’t be shy and show them the door!
Inspire your staff! Workers need support too. Don’t forget to use the Speech option more often to set them up for high-class restaurant service. The more stars your customers give, the better the restaurant performs and the more Simoleons you earn!
Invest in advertising. When you open a restaurant, Sims won’t know what an amazing place you have! Invest in ads in the Ownership panel by clicking the «Advertise» button. The more you spend, the higher the chance that more visitors will come to the restaurant. But be careful! Don’t flood the restaurant with customers if you’re not ready to serve them all. If your staff lacks experience, you will make a bad impression. And this means that it is necessary …
Pay tuition. You can pay for employee training using the «Manage Employees» option in the «Ownership» panel. More experienced employees will be able to satisfy customer requests, make fewer mistakes, and earn more Simoleons for the restaurant over time.
