Sega Mega Drive Mini 2 Retro Console Arrives in Europe
Sega has launched the Mega Drive Mini 2 Retro Console in Europe and other markets. It has already appeared in Japan and the US under the names Drive Mini 2 and Genesis Mini 2. They are technically identical.
The console visually replicates the 1994 device, but is equipped with modern ports and 60 built-in games.
“On board” there are USB Type-A connectors, a Micro USB port for power and HDMI for video output. True, there is only one regular controller in the box.
The downside, however, is that Mini 2 consoles cannot run original game cartridges from older consoles. Instead, there are 60 pre-installed projects in the console’s memory, and their list varies depending on the location. That is, Japanese models get their own list, while North American and European models get their own.
The list of games for Europe is unknown, but it will probably be the same as in the US. The US list looks like this:
