If the Xbox One is your primary console, you know how hard it can be to find a headset with native mic support for the console compared to the PS4, making it hard to find the best Xbox gaming headset. It makes the gaming headset selection for Xbox slightly limited; however, some good options come in an Xbox variant or work well with both consoles.

We’ve tested over 690 pairs of headphones, and below are our recommendations for the best gaming headsets for Xbox One to buy. Check out our picks for the best gaming headsets, the best Xbox Series X headsets, and the best gaming headsets under $100.

If you’re looking for the best of the best, the best Xbox headset we’ve tested is the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless for Xbox. These premium headphones deliver many features that are sure to please most gamers. Their wireless transmitter puts controls like EQ customization and mic gain right at your fingertips. Since they have a dual battery cartridge system, one battery can charge inside the transmitter while the other is in use. One battery lasts roughly 25 hours continuously, so you can game for long periods without worrying about battery life. The transmitter also helps ensure a low-latency gaming experience. To round out their features, they’re Bluetooth-enabled, allowing you to stay connected to your console and smartphone simultaneously, and they have noise cancelling (ANC). While it’s not the best for tackling more casual noise like the rumble of car engines, it does a better job of blocking out ambient chatter and the high-pitched hum of a standing fan.

These headphones have a somewhat neutral default sound profile. They’ve got a small bump in extra high-bass to help bring out sound effects like footsteps in gameplay. While they have companion software, you can’t transfer your settings onto the transmitter while connected to your Xbox. If you like to game with others, their retractable boom mic has a very good overall performance, ensuring that your voice sounds clear to teammates, even in moderately noisy environments. They also have a comfortable fit, but if you don’t have the headphones on correctly, you may find their inner driver design pushes into your ears.

The Astro A50 Gen 4 Wireless 2019 is the best wireless Xbox One headset in the upper mid-range we’ve tested. Even though these headphones don’t have ANC or Bluetooth like the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless for Xbox, they come with a wireless base station that you can use to charge the headphones when you’re finished gaming. The base station also ensures low latency, meaning you won’t encounter lip-sync issues. These over-ears come in two console-specific variants, so it’s important to check that you get the right model. They also block out very little ambient sound, which can be frustrating if you game in a noisy space.

Out of the box, these comfortable over-ears have a well-balanced sound profile that packs a bit of extra warmth without drowning out dialogue and instruments. That said, you can use their companion software to create a custom EQ preset, which you can then save to your headphones. If you like to game with others, their great boom mic ensures that your voice is clear to teammates and enemies alike. Their battery lasts over 17 hours continuously too, but note that they don’t have an AUX port, so you can’t use them passively in a pinch.

The best Xbox headset we’ve tested with a mid-range price is the SteelSeries Arctis 9X Wireless. At this price point, you won’t find extra gadgets like the Astro A50 Gen 4 Wireless 2019’s base station. Instead, these headphones use a USB dongle that supports Xbox Wireless to provide a low-latency gaming experience. They also support Bluetooth, which is great if you want to receive audio from your smartphone and console at the same time. Their boom microphone ensures you sound clear, even in moderately noisy environments.

Out of the box, they have a fairly well-balanced sound. Dialogue and instruments are well-reproduced, sounding clear and detailed. However, even though their ski-band headband design ensures a comfortable fit for long gaming marathons, it also means they’re prone to inconsistencies in audio delivery. It’s important that you take the time to ensure a good fit. Luckily, there are EQ presets built-in, making it easy to alter their sound. These also over-ears last 28 hours continuously, but if you’re looking for similarly-performing gaming headphones with longer battery life, it’s worth checking out the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7X Wireless. They last over 33 hours continuously and come with an analog cable, meaning you can use them passively in a pinch. However, they aren’t as well-built, and their mic performance isn’t quite as good.

The best lower mid-range Xbox headphones we’ve tested are the Razer Kaira Pro Wireless for Xbox. Their battery life may be shorter than the SteelSeries Arctis 9X Wireless, and their sound profile isn’t as neutral or flat, but they’re worth checking out if you want to save money. They have low latency via Xbox Wireless, and you can pair them with one Bluetooth device and your console, allowing you to stream audio from your phone while gaming. Their battery lasts over 19 hours continuously, and their detachable boom microphone has a great performance, so your teammates won’t have a problem hearing you clearly. They have a warm yet somewhat uneven sound profile, and it can muddy dialogue and instruments. They’re also prone to inconsistencies in audio delivery, so it’s important to take the time to ensure they fit your head well. Luckily, their companion software offers a five-band graphic EQ and presets so you can adjust them to your liking.

These over-ears have a comfortable fit suitable for long gaming sessions and are well-built. However, if you’re looking for even more comfortable headphones, it’s worth checking out the HyperX Cloud Alpha S instead. They’re wired headphones, which can be a big drawback for people who enjoy the mobility only a wireless design can provide. However, they come with two different sets of ear cup padding to help you get the best fit, and you can game while wearing them for long periods without experiencing too much fatigue.

If you’re looking for wallet-friendly headphones, the Logitech G432 Gaming Headset is the best Xbox One headset we’ve tested at the budget level. This price point is largely occupied by wired headphones. Most manufacturers also tend to cut costs by cheapening build quality and, compared to the Razer Kaira Pro Wireless for Xbox, which are a bit more expensive, you’ll notice their plasticky frame doesn’t have very solid joints. However, even though they don’t feel very robust or sturdy, these comfortable over-ears still offer a simple yet solid gaming performance.

Since they’re designed for PCs, you can’t access their companion app’s features. You can still use an analog connection to connect them to your Xbox’s controller with full compatibility. Their sound profile is well-balanced, and while they lack thump and rumble, dialogue and instruments sound present and clear. Their boom mic ensures that your voice also sounds clear to teammates. That said, if you’re looking for wallet-friendly Xbox headphones with even better recording quality, it’s worth considering the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 1 instead. Their build quality is significantly better too, but their sound profile is boomier, and they’re prone to more consistencies in audio delivery.

The Astro A40 TR Headset + MixAmp Pro 2019 is the best wired Xbox One headset we’ve tested. Unlike other wired picks on this list, these very well-built headphones have a MixAmp on their audio cable, letting you adjust controls like volume, channel mixing, and surround sound on the fly. It also allows you to cycle through the different EQ presets that you can create via their companion app if you want to alter their warm default sound profile. They also have a very comfortable fit suitable for long hours of gaming, and their boom mic offers great performance, ensuring your teammates hear you clearly, even in moderately noisy places.

Thanks to their open-back design, sound can escape the ear cups and bounce around your environment. It helps the headphones create an open and out-of-head passive soundstage, which can sound more immersive. Unfortunately, this also means that they won’t block background noise, and their leaky sound might annoy others around you. If this is a dealbreaker, you may want to check out the SteelSeries Arctis Pro GameDAC instead. These wired headphones have a closed-back design, which helps improve noise isolation and lower audio bleed. Unfortunately, their passive soundstage seems closed off and unnatural.

Our recommendations above are what we think are currently the best Xbox One headsets for most people to buy in each price range. We factor in the price (cheaper headphones win over pricier ones if the difference isn’t worth it), feedback from our visitors, and availability (no headphones that are difficult to find or almost out of stock everywhere).

If you would like to choose for yourself, here is the list of all our reviews for headsets, sorted by Xbox One compatibility. Be careful not to get caught up in the details. There are no perfect headphones. Personal taste, preference, and listening habits will matter more in your selection, especially if you don’t care about having a microphone or wireless features.

Interface: Wireless | Connectivity: Xbox Wireless, Bluetooth 4. 2 | Surround Sound: Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone:X | Battery life: Up to 15 hours | Weight: 312g

It’s hard to beat a headset that was quite literally made for Xbox. The Xbox Wireless Headset is the official platform gaming headset, and it partners perfectly with the Xbox Series X/S. Also, you can snag it for under $100. The simplicity of pairing this headset might be our favorite part, as it uses the Xbox Wireless standard. However, it also offers Bluetooth or a USB-C dongle for an easy connection to a whole host of other devices. Beyond loads of connectivity options, the headset manages to sound good, too.

The Xbox Wireless Headset’s 40mm drivers pump out solid sound performance on par with other mid-range headsets. Plus, it comes with Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone:X support. There are intuitive dials for volume and game/chat mix on the earcups, as well as easy to find buttons for device pairing and mic mute, so you won’t have to fiddle around with controls while you’re in the middle of a game. And, with the integration of the Xbox Accessories App, you can adjust the EQ presets and mic monitoring volume, plus check the battery level. The microphone is the only finicky part of this headset, but as long as you don’t have too much background noise, it works just fine.

When you take a glimpse at the feature-rich, quality-designed Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 MAX, it’s easy to see why it’s our favorite Wireless Xbox headset. This headset is an amped-up version of the Stealth 700 Gen 2. It’s got 2.4GHz wireless for a pain-free connection to your Xbox Series X/S, and with the flip of a switch, it connects to other gaming consoles like the PS5 or Nintendo Switch. This means you’re in for some lag-free, uninterrupted gameplay. Plus, you’ve got Bluetooth support for your other devices as well. Since this headset is wireless, battery life is always a concern, but it boasts up to 40 hours of listening time, so you should be covered for long-haul gaming sessions. A quick charge feature even lets you get 8 hours of juice with just 15 minutes of charging.

You’ll find once these cans are paired with your console, you’re in for a pleasant listening experience. The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 MAX are comfortable, lightweight, and durable thanks to an improved design that will leave you surprised by how great they feel even after hours of use. Plus, 50mm Nanoclear speakers relay even the most subtle nuances in your games, including picking up on the quiet footsteps of other players. With Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, DTS Headphone: X, and Superhuman Hearing support baked in, you’re in for an insanely immersive sound performance. Plus, the microphone, though it picks up some background noise, sounds clear for easy communication with your teammates.

You don’t need to spend a fortune to get a decent headset with all the features you could need. The Nacon RIG 700 Pro HX is proof of this. Coming in under $90, you get a wireless headset with a lightweight, comfortable build that happens to sound great and offers zero latency, too. You can stay focused on gameplay thanks to its sound-isolating ear cups. Even better is the built-in support of Dolby Atmos for an immersive 3D audio experience. The easily discernible audio cues will improve your gameplay, especially in shooters. Plus, a removable noise-canceling microphone – that sounds pretty decent – makes communication between teammates a breeze.

The Nacon RIG 700 Pro HX pairs easily with the Xbox Series X/S thanks to the USB lossless dongle. And once you’re connected, on the ear cups, you can find controls for volume, game-chat mix, and mute. The only real flaws with this budget-friendly headset are the lack of Bluetooth connectivity and the use of plastic rather than steel in its build, which makes it a bit less durable. Therefore, in addition to its use of Xbox Wireless for a seamless connection to your Xbox Series X/S, you can easily connect to your phone, tablet, or laptop over Bluetooth. Noise distractions are unavoidable, especially if you live with roommates or in a bustling metropolis, so grabbing a headset with powerful noise cancellation is key to keeping your focus on the game. Luckily, the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless offers a hybrid noise-canceling system with four mics that adjust based on what you’re listening to and what it picks up in your environment. Improved earcups also help with sound isolation, and a simple button press activates a transparency mode to heat what’s going on around you. Beyond that, there’s some fantastic spatial audio onboard, and you can make some next-level customizations to the EQ setting and game chat mix with Sonar and the SteelSeries GG app.

With SteelSeries latest, we see the biggest design shift since the start of the Arctis lineup. The Arctis Nova Pro Wireless now totes telescoping arms on its adjustable headband, so it better accommodates larger head sizes. The earcups are also slimmer and sleeker, giving off less of a gaming headset vibe and more of wireless headphones look. And one of our favorite features remains intact with a few upgrades, the hot-swappable rechargeable battery system. This means that when the battery runs low during a heated moment in a game, you just quickly change it out, barely missing a second of the action.

If you’re looking for a high-fidelity headset with superior audio performance, look no further than the Audeze Penrose X. The soundstage on it blows all of the other headsets on our list out of the water. You’ll find the in-game sound plus additionals like a music mix come across clear and sound cues can easily be heard. And, though there is no Dolby Atmos or DTS Headphone:X support, you probably won’t even miss them because the spatial audio pairs perfectly with the Xbox Series X/S thanks to the 100mm planar magnetic drivers with Fluxor magnet arrays and Fazor Waveguides.

Audiophiles will rejoice after listening to the Audeze Penrose X, and there is plenty more to love about this high-end headset including its connectivity. It works with your Xbox Series X/S using USB wireless connectivity, and it’s compatible with a wide array of other devices thanks to Bluetooth or a 3. 5mm headphone jack. The battery life on these cans is a little light, but up to 15 hours of juice should be plenty to get you through any of your gaming sessions.

You probably want a high-end headset that looks good, sounds good, and feels good. B&O’s Beoplay Portal offers all of that and more but be prepared for a rather steep price tag. Once you move past the cost, you’ll find it offers an extremely comfortable, lightweight design that steps away from the look of traditional gaming headsets. You can easily get away with using these anywhere and for anything. With superb audio quality, they’re perfect for everything from listening to your favorite album or basking in the roar of Dolby Atmos enabled game audio pipped from the Xbox Series X/S. And, it’s easy to fiddle around with the EQ setting to make this headset sound exactly as you’d like.

The Beoplay Portal is our only pick with active noise cancellation, so you can stay focused on your games when traveling or can drown out the yappy dog across the street at home. Pairing to your console with Xbox Wireless is a breeze, and Bluetooth is available for all your other devices. Unfortunately, both Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth can’t be used simultaneously. There’s also a wired connection via a 3.5mm audio jack. The only glaring flaws are its shorter battery life and high cost, but with everything else packed in, it’s still worth the investment for the absolute best Xbox headset money can buy.

              Best Xbox Headsets FAQs

How Do You Choose an Xbox Headset?

There are a vast number of gaming headsets available these days, and it’s important you pay attention to specific specs to ensure you’re getting the best one for you and your Xbox Series X/S.

First, connectivity is essential. When purchasing a headset, you want to consider ones that have a variety of connections, so you can make use of it on multiple devices. One standard is Xbox Wireless, which acts similar to Bluetooth, but is exclusive to Xbox. It makes pairing compatible headsets to your Xbox console quick and simple.

Another connectivity option available is a USB wireless transmitter, and with this, you can just plug in the dongle and get gaming. You can also plug into your console or controller with wired options like a traditional 3.5mm audio jack or USB. Some of our picks even offer Bluetooth, and though the Xbox Series X/S doesn’t support it, it’s still convenient for use with other devices like your smartphone or laptop.

Of course, you want a great-sounding gaming headset. There are several factors to consider for the best audio performance. Driver size is important, and 40 mm is often the standard, but bigger usually means better. The drivers are internal mechanisms that create the sound waves you hear. A larger driver allows for more air to pass through, making not only louder sounds but also more nuanced, wider frequencies.

The range of frequencies heard on a headset is their frequency response. As humans, we can hear a range from 20-20KHz, which will cover low deep sounds to high pitched screeches. Most headsets available offer close to this frequency response or even better.

Since the Xbox Series X/S offers support for some of the best spatial audio and surround sound technologies, you may want to consider a compatible headset. This type of audio places you right in the center of your game and can pick up sound directionally. With Dolby Atmos, you can even distinguish the location of a helicopter overhead or enemies lurking in the bushes. It’s truly a next-level immersive audio experience. Looking for headsets that offer Dolby Atmos, Windows Sonic, and DTS Headphone:X can amp up your gameplay and help you efficiently annihilate your competition.

Are Xbox One Headsets Compatible With Xbox Series X|S?

If you already have an Xbox One gaming headset, it should be compatible with the Xbox Series X|S already. That being said, there are some outliers that don’t work across both generations of consoles. If you want to know if your current gaming headset is compatible with the newer version of the console, you can check out this Xbox support page for the issue.

Which Xbox Headset Has the Best Sound Quality?

All of the headsets featured in our list have decent sound quality, but if you’re looking for the absolute best, you’ll want to go with high-end gaming headset. These headsets are more expensive than some of the budget option available, but they all offer excellent quality sound.

SteelSeries tops our list because it combines the comfort and quality we look for when it comes to a console headset. This is an ingenious version of the manufacturer’s best headset that adds the Xbox Wireless standard for superior connectivity.

This means that it connects directly to your console like a controller (and that it will be able to do the same for Xbox Series X when it’s released), providing a solid connection and no noticeable lag.

In addition, the earphones are really beautifully constructed and extremely comfortable to wear, and what’s more, they have the thinnest design we’ve come across in our testing (only Logitech’s efforts come close). The microphone even remembers when you play solo.

Finally, the sound quality is excellent, especially if you turn on Windows Sonic or, even better, Dolby Atmos for headphones. You will get a real advantage in reaction-based multiplayer games and fully immerse yourself in the adventure of a single game. To be honest, we can’t recommend this headset highly enough.

Ultimately, while we consider the SteelSeries Arctis 9X the best headset for Xbox users, we also understand that it may not be the right choice for every gamer. That’s why we also recommend the four headsets below.

Logitech did a real wonder with its Pro X headset — it rated it as clearly average, but presented it as a top-notch headset with matching packaging and user interface.

For example, this is the only headset we tested that comes with interchangeable ear pads in the box, and not just as an extra option (leatherette or velor, if you’re wondering, both are very comfortable). You get several premium cables depending on which device you plugged it into, a detachable microphone, and frankly great design, especially in the area of gaming headsets. I mean, it even comes with a nice carrying bag — again, unlike any others we’ve tested.

In addition, the sound is inherently excellent, with really excellent detail and balance that should make you hear things you’ve never heard before. Literally, the only small negative we could find was that its built-in controller allows you to change the volume and mute, but not adjust the chat balance, which is hardly a big sin. For the price, this is a truly impressive set of cans.

USP for Razer’s huge Nari Ultimate is relatively insane — the haptic feedback in the earbuds themselves (which are extraordinarily comfortable and smartly cooled in their own right).

Turned it up to max, which meant our very steps in Call of Duty had a crunchy feel on the sandy maps, which was no doubt cool. It’s hard to tell if it’s exciting enough to be usable for 20 hours in an RPG, but it’s a pretty neat feature.

Nevertheless, the Nari Ultimate impressed us, even if we completely ignore the tactile sensations. It has a fantastic, booming sound and a good microphone that folds completely into the case when not in use. Plus, like the SteelSeries on our list, it uses the Xbox Wireless for super-easy pairing and a solid connection. It’s an attractive premium-priced package, though we weren’t entirely taken by the sheer size of the headphones overall.

Interestingly, though, if you don’t like haptic feedback, you can get a very similar package for a lower price in the form of the Razer Thresher headset, which is worth keeping in mind.

This great headset from Turtle Beach matches the Steelseries example above and also works wirelessly on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, making it a great value if you have multiple consoles.

Handy, it’s also very comfortable to wear and sounds great, so overall the kit is nice and attractive. We’d like to see a less plastic construction and the mic isn’t stellar, but these are relatively minor issues.

We understand that the Xbox headsets listed above may not be to everyone’s taste and budget, but we also want to provide insight and recommend the very best options to consider.

To provide some context for our decision making and testing, and to give you more suggestions to explore, below are devices that didn’t quite make it into our top picks.

There are literally countless headsets available for most consoles now, and the Xbox lineup is no different. To help you narrow down your choices, here are a few things to consider before making any decision.

              Should I switch to wireless?

The big question with headsets at the moment is whether or not you want to be cable-free — all of our best options are wireless for some reason, but that doesn’t mean you have to use one. There are great options like the Logitech Pro X that ditch wireless to get better sound quality for the price.

Given that your controller probably has a 3.5mm headphone jack, you can easily plug in the wire and have a great time. It depends on your personal taste.

              Weight is everything

How much a headset weighs may not be the most glamorous factor, but it plays a huge role in determining how comfortable it is to wear it for a long time. If comfort is key to you, it’s worth taking the time to compare weights so you don’t get caught if your headset ends up looking like a stocky monkey.

              How important is the microphone?

Some of us only need a headset so we can play multiplayer games with our friends and not be left out of the voice chat channels. For others, it’s all about immersion in the single player game. If you’re in the second camp, then you’ll probably want to make sure you have a headset with either a retractable or detachable mic so you don’t have something dangling in front of your face even when you’re not using it.

              What is Xbox Wireless?

Microsoft has created its own wireless standard for Xbox in the form of Xbox Wireless, and it’s great when used. This means that your headset will connect to your console when it is turned on without the need for a dongle or any other accessories.

However, not every headset uses it for a variety of reasons. So while it doesn’t get in the way at all, it’s something to look out for when you’re checking grocery lists.

It’s easy to forget, but when Microsoft released the Xbox One, its first controller didn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack. This meant that you needed to use an adapter to connect your wired headset through the controller, and you may still need to if you’re using that version of the controller.

              • Xbox One X, Xbox One S or All-Digital Edition: Which Should I Buy?

However, later versions of the controller, including the newest ones that ship with Xbox Series X and Series S, have this all-important connector that simplifies connection. Finally, you may find that some wireless controllers use a dongle to connect without cables.

Another less common but perhaps ideal connection is via Xbox Wireless, the same standard that native Xbox controllers use to connect to your console. This provides the most reliable connection, the easiest reconnection, and the added bonus of guaranteed to work with new consoles when they fail.

However, if the walkthrough is helpful, follow these steps to connect your headset:

              1. If your headset is wired, plug it into either the headphone jack on your Xbox Controller or the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter for game sound.
              2. If it’s wireless, connect any dongles provided with the Xbox and turn on the pairing headset.
              3. If he’s using an Xbox Wireless, press the pairing button on the front of the Xbox and wait until his logo flashes.
              4. Put the headset into pairing mode, following the manufacturer’s instructions, and then wait for the two devices to pair. When they are paired, you should see the headset logo in the top left corner of the Xbox Dashboard along with a battery indicator.

After that, let’s dive in and take a look at some of our favorite headsets.

Each product on this list has been tested in real life situations, as if you were using it in everyday life.

For Xbox gaming headsets, this means using them for extended periods of time, not just for single-player games, but also for multiplayer sessions. We evaluate all elements of their performance, from sound quality across genres to microphone performance.

Equally important is how the headset feels when worn, not only at first, but for longer sessions and weeks after first use, while connectivity and ease of use are also key. If the headset cannot be relied upon to stay connected, or if its battery life is below its advertised level, it will be counted against it. Finally, there’s the obvious question of price — a headset can sound truly divine, but if it’s prohibitively expensive, we’ll take that into account.

As we point out in all of our buyer guides, it is not possible to provide a lockpick set that is suitable for every type of user, but we take the above and the opinions of the experts on the InterPro team into account to determine a select set of Xbox headsets that we can recommend.

What we always try to avoid when compiling these compilations is a detailed comparison of specifications and marketing jargon; we just want to provide an easy to understand summary that will give you an idea of how to use each typeface. Our verdicts are brief, but this is purely in the interest of brevity.

              Wired headsets for Xbox

              EPOS GSP 300

EPOS is a subsidiary of the famous Sennheiser brand, which automatically means high quality products and amazing sound in your headphones. The EPOS GSP 300 headset boasts outstanding sound isolation: its adaptive ear cushions and ear cushions minimize external noise, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the gameplay of your favorite title. The owner of the device may be confused only by a bulky microphone, but otherwise this is one of the best deals among gaming headsets in its price category.

              Audio-Technica ATH-GL3

Closed-back wired headset with 45 mm drivers, light weight and detachable gooseneck microphone. The device sits perfectly on the head, and for greater convenience of users, two cables are provided in the kit: one 1.2 m long for connecting to the console gamepad, and the second 3 m long for use with a PC. This allows you to play comfortably, no matter which platform you choose.

              Razer Blackshark V2

Razer’s wired headset has an «aviation» design, reminiscent of headphones for helicopter pilots. Hidden inside are powerful 50mm titanium Razer Triforce speakers that perfectly reproduce vocals, highs and lows, allowing you to clearly hear the environment in video games and the voices of your teammates in the chat. The headset comes with an external USB sound card, although you can also connect it to a PC via a 3.5 mm jack.

At the same time, the Razer Blackshark V2 is THX Spatial Audio certified, and includes custom sound profiles for various games, enhancing the immersion in the virtual world.

              Logitech G433

The Logitech G433 costs less than $100, yet boasts striking looks, DTS HEADPHONE:X surround sound support, and Discord certification, making it perfect for voice chat audio. The headset is very light, you can play for many hours and not even feel it on your head. A thin and long wire allows you to connect it to any platform — including Xbox consoles.

              Astro A10

Astro A10 is an inexpensive (less than $50) headset made from lightweight, flexible material for a better fit, optimized for PC and consoles, created in collaboration with streamers and pro players, and equipped with a retractable microphone . A good option for gaming, but don’t expect too much from it.

              Corsair HS35

Corsair HS35 can be connected to an Xbox One, Xbox Series or other console, mobile device and PC via a 3.5mm cable.

The detachable microphone can be stowed away when you’re not playing online games with friends, while the fabric ear cushions and light weight reduce strain on your ears and head for long gaming sessions. This is a versatile low-cost gaming headset that will not let you down in either single or multiplayer titles.

              Logitech G333

If you don’t like the usual gaming headphones with massive cups and uncomfortable headband, if you are looking for the most lightweight and comfortable option, then the Logitech G333 may be what you need. This is an in-ear headset compatible with PC, mobile devices and consoles. It can be connected to your Xbox via a 3.5mm plug or a USB-C dongle, and the silicone eartips of different sizes ensure a secure fit in your ears.

Dual dynamic cones produce good sound — maybe not as powerful as full-size headsets, but good enough to keep you immersed in the game.

              Razer Kraken X

An affordable gaming headset from Razer with an ultra-lightweight design and backlight. She has comfortable ear cushions with a «memory effect», a comfortable fit and good sound positioning. However, given its price, Razer engineers had to make some compromises: for example, the quality of voice transmission through the microphone is far from ideal, and this model does not cope with listening to music as confidently as with games.

              Epos h4 Hybrid

True to its name, Epos h4 Hybrid supports hybrid connectivity — it can be connected to a PC via a 3.5mm wire or USB, and also hooked up to a smartphone or console via Bluetooth. In the latter case, you will not encounter delays and sound stuttering — the connection is stable and reliable, so even via «wireless» this headset can be used as a gaming headset. The device’s microphone can be completely turned off and even a plug can be installed in its place if you do not plan to use it, and the Epos h4 Hybrid battery can withstand a record 35 hours without recharging!

              Microsoft Xbox One Chat Headset

Simple and tasteful: a headset from Microsoft will allow you to chat with teammates in team games, while not falling out of the reality of the world around you. The device is connected to the Xbox One controller through a proprietary connector that houses the control keys, and the design of the headset leaves one ear free. Attached to the earpiece is a swivel microphone that can be turned off at any time if you don’t want your teammates to hear something they weren’t meant to hear.

              HYPERX Cloud Chat

Another «one-sided» model that contains only one ear cup and microphone. Thanks to its thoughtful design, HYPERX Cloud Chat can be placed on either side of the head, using headphones on the left or right ear, and the microphone is equipped with a pop filter and noise reduction. The headset is compatible with PC and current consoles, including Xbox One.

              SteelSeries Arctis 1

Budget gadget from Steelseries, adapted for use on any gaming platform. The device will give players superior quality of signature Arctis sound and high-quality voice communication, and massive breathable ear cushions will provide comfort for long gaming sessions.

              Speedlink Coniux Stereo Headset

The Speedlink Coniux Stereo Headset provides users with clear sound, good noise isolation and high wearing comfort with softly padded temples and earcups. The headset is designed for video games, but it can also be used to listen to music and watch movies, although you will have to sacrifice a little sound quality compared to professional counterparts.

              Thrustmaster Y300CPX

At first glance bulky, but actually comfortable and lightweight stereo headset with bass boost. Users can flexibly adjust the headband, and the soft ear cushions provide a good fit and sound isolation. In addition, the Thrustmaster Y300CPX gives you the ability to separately adjust the volume of the sound in the headphones and microphone speech, and also pleases the eye with a pleasant futuristic design.

              ONIKUMA M180 PRO

Headset with stereo sound, retractable microphone and LED light (which, however, takes up an entire USB port, which may not be to everyone’s taste). The manufacturer promises rich sound and perfect noise reduction, and the bright design of the gadget immediately gives out a focus on the gaming audience. You may be short on the cord length (only 2 meters) and a separate cable to power the backlight can be a bit of a problem, but other than that these are good headphones for gaming.

              HyperX Cloud Stinger Core

HyperX brand products are often associated with affordability and quality, and Stinger Core headphones can be considered «folk», given their popularity. The headset provides deep immersion in the game and adapts flexibly to the size of the user’s head, and the connection to the console, whether it’s Xbox One or PS4, is done without any problems and additional settings.

              Plantronics RIG 300HX

This headset attracts with its design: the «mesh» structure of the bowls certainly negatively affects noise isolation, but it looks stylish — although we would still prefer noise isolation. Otherwise, this is a familiar gaming gadget — with good sound, high-quality microphone and easy connection to PC and consoles.

              Razer Kraken Pro V2

The Razer Kraken Pro V2 delivers impressively loud and rich sound combined with punchy bass. Expandable microphone noise cancellation works well for providing clear voice chat with your teammates. It is also possible to completely remove it in a single game.

The build quality is impressive: the bauxite aluminum frame makes the headset light and strong. There is also a choice between oval or round ear cups, which means you can find the best fit for your ears. The combination of comfort and sound quality gives you a great option for long gaming sessions.

Microsoft Xbox One Official Stereo Headset

This is the official Xbox One headset from Microsoft and, despite its modest price, it provides a full range of high quality stereo sound. The headphones feature a single-sided microphone for clear communication that can be flipped over when not in use. Also included is an Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter for compatibility and easy volume control in game and chat.

Headphones weigh just 255g. The light weight combined with breathable fabric ear cushions makes it a pleasure to use the headset for long gaming sessions without getting too tired. One downside to this lightness is that the headset cable is very thin and therefore may not withstand rough use, so take that into account.

              Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2

Turtle Beach makes some excellent gaming headsets, and this is one of the best. The headphones are specifically designed to enhance your experience in competitive games like Fortnite, with the ability to amplify ambient noise and the ability to not only hear enemies that are sneaking up on you, but also tell you exactly where and where they are coming from.

The sound quality is great for gaming because with the Elite Pro 2 you can literally hear everything around you. The headset is also very comfortable, as it has soft ear cushions and a headband. But that doesn’t compromise build quality — the Elite Pro 2 perfectly combines metal and durable white plastic to offer a stylish and durable Xbox One headset. Headphones are expensive, but definitely worth the money.

              Corsair HS50

If you want to stray a bit from standard headphones but don’t want to invest heavily in some of the expensive options, then the Corsair HS50 is the way to go. Despite the budget price, the headset delivers solid stereo sound and also provides comfort thanks to the leatherette cover.

A nice bonus is the 3.5mm cable, so you can easily use the headset with any other device. You can even unplug the microphone if you just want to listen to music. Obviously, for the price of the Corsair HS50, you won’t get surround sound or fancy voice amplification technology, but as an affordable yet feature-packed headset, it definitely gets the job done.

              Sennheiser GSP 600

Sennheiser has the upper hand when it comes to audio equipment as the headset will deliver exceptional sound quality with a good speaker system and crystal clear microphone communication. And thanks to the memory foam ear cushions, you can adjust them to the shape of your ears, providing excellent noise isolation while maintaining a full and clear sound.

The headset itself features an advanced metal hinge system, meaning you can adjust the width and adjust the headband to give your headphones the perfect fit. It’s quite useful, and the unit’s rugged construction is just as solid, but take the extra weight into account. However, if you want professional-sounding and carefully designed headphones, you can’t go wrong with Sennheiser.

              SteelSeries Arctis 7X Wireless

SteelSeries Arctis 7X Wireless was created with an eye on the design of the Xbox consoles, so the headphone design familiar to the headsets of this brand is diluted with green accents. The device connects to the console and PC using a dongle, supports surround sound and is equipped with a noise-canceling microphone — so that extraneous sounds do not break into the voice chat with partners. There are additional options, such as the game/chat balance control, as well as the unsurpassed comfort of SteelSeries — with a comfortable fit adjustment and soft ear cushions.

              Corsair HS75 XB Wireless

The Corsair HS75 XB Wireless is adapted for Xbox consoles, supporting Dolby Atmos surround sound technology and connecting to Microsoft gaming platforms without an adapter. SteelSeries Arctis 9X

SteelSeries Arctis 9X supports dual wireless connection: to the console via the 2.4 GHz protocol (and you do not need a dongle to connect to the Xbox) and simultaneously to a mobile device via Bluetooth — for example, to listen to music or receive calls right during the game. The icing on the cake will be the noise-canceling microphone — although it can not be removed, it retracts into the headset case so deeply that it practically does not remind of its existence.

              Audeze Penrose X

Audeze divides the Penrose line of headsets by platform. Make no mistake: the Audeze Penrose X is suitable for Xbox, while the Audeze Penrose is compatible with PlayStation consoles. And both options can be connected to PC and mobile devices.

The headset uses planar magnetic drivers for better sound dynamics and a wide range of reproducible frequencies, is equipped with a detachable microphone and is designed for 15 hours of battery life. In addition, it can be connected to two platforms at the same time: for example, an Xbox to play games and a smartphone to communicate with friends — a feature that can only be appreciated once you try it.

              LucidSound LS50X

LucidSound LS50X costs around $200, but the price is justified: in addition to the premium design and soft ear cushions with memory foam filling and cooling gel, this device boasts 50 mm drivers with five customizable modes equalizer, a pair of microphones, one of which is removable, a battery with an autonomy of up to 20 hours, as well as intuitive controls. This is a top product, and it will completely satisfy those who are willing to shell out for good headphones.

              Astro A40 TR

The Astro A40 TR looks unusual, even aggressive, with massive tubes on the headband that hide wires and a long microphone boom. The model is presented in versions compatible with the PlayStation and Xbox, they differ in the color of the cups. The ear cups have a memory effect, and the speakers are tuned with the help of professional esports players and streamers to make the sound in games the way it should be — with fatigue-free highs, clear mids and tight bass.

              Creative SXFI Gamer

The Creative SXFI Gamer is designed with the highest standards in sound quality in all kinds of media, from games to movies to music. The device supports Super X-Fi technology, which provides a level of holographic surround sound that is indistinguishable from the real thing. To do this, the shape of the head and ears is calculated in order to build an individual sound stage based on this information. And for games, a separate Battle Mode is allocated here, which improves positioning, allowing you to accurately determine the location of opponents and the distance to them.

              Razer Thresher 7.1

The Razer Thresher is a wireless headset for PC and consoles.
