World of Warcraft Classic

Leveling Guides

Platform: PC/Mac

Leveling in WoW Classic is a slow, lengthy process, but you can reach max level in a fraction of the time with our fully in-game Leveling Guides. Breeze past your friends and guild mates with our fast and optimized 1-60 questing path for both the Alliance and Horde factions.

With the upcoming release of World of Warcraft: Classic you’ll be able to once again experience the game as it existed long ago, but with that cames a harder difficulty and less linear questing that makes having a guide an absolute necessity.

Just like Blizzard is offering a classic version of the game we’re bringing back our original Vanilla guides along with most of the newer features found in our modern guides. These are the guides that put Zygor on the map for demystifying and streamlining an otherwise complex version of the game.

World of Warcraft: Classic will be launching August 26th, 2019 and we’ll be offering full 1-60 Leveling Guides for both Horde and Alliance on DAY 1. Best of all, these in-game guides are included with Zygor Elite at no additional charge!

Fully In-Game Guide.

All the core features you’ve come to love from our Battle for Azeroth guides will be available, including the Guide Viewer, Auto-Equip, Quest Reward Advisor and more.

Travel System.

Back in Vanilla our guides never had our Travel System feature which automatically generates directions to any location, but we will have it for Classic which means getting around will be a breeze, especially compared to the old days.

Talent Advisor.

The Talent System is drastically different in Classic and the choices you make have a huge impact on how your character plays. As such, we’ve brought back our original Talent Advisor which will provide you with the best builds to increase your attack power and survivability.

Class Training Reminder

Making sure you stay on top of your spell training is vital to effective leveling in the classic versions of the game.

Since it can be easy to forget this we have an optional Class Training Reminder feature that can pop up and alert you whenever you have new spells available, and sort them by Critical, Optional, and Upcoming.

Smart Injection System

In the classic versions of the game it can be harder to just jump in if you haven’t done the necessary pre-quests because quest chains are rigidly tied together.

Our Smart Injection System’s Quest Catchup feature finds the best place for your character to start in the guide and then checks if you’ve done the necessary pre-quests. If you’re missing anything, it will dynamically backtrack you through any pre-quests first so that you can get in perfect sync with the recommended starting point.

Which guides will be available for World of Warcraft: Classic?

Our focus will be solely on Leveling Guides when World of Warcraft: Classic launches. We would love to consider making more guide types but it will all depend on how successful WoW Classic is in the long run.

Will all the same features be available in the WoW Classic Guide Viewer?

The Guide Viewer, Waypoint Arrow and Travel System are the main features we have planned for launch. We also expect to have Auto-Equip, Quest Reward Advisor, and the Talent Advisor. More features will be added later.

Will there be a free trial for the WoW Classic Guides?

Yes. We will be releasing a free sample of our WoW Classic guides which you’ll be able to try in our Free Trial.

How much will the WoW Classic Guides cost?

The WoW Classic guides will be included as part of the Zygor Elite membership. There is no additional charge as long as you are an active Zygor Elite member. You can sign up here.

Will customers who purchased standalone versions of the guides recieve WoW Classic guides?

We consider WoW Classic the same as any new WoW product such as an expansion, and all new Zygor WoW products are only available through a Zygor Elite subscription as of March 1st 2018 when Standalone Product upgrades ended.

WoW Classic Leveling Guide 1-60 — Guides

Welcome to Wowhead’s Classic WoW leveling guide! Here we will tell you how you can speed up your leveling and make it more efficient. Unlike modern WoW, the classic version of the game is much more difficult to level, and it often takes players several weeks to get to level 60. In this guide, we will list the most effective ways to upgrade, look at different play areas, and suggest what else you should pay attention to.

Wowhead’s Classic WoW Leveling Guide

Here you will find general recommendations for leveling in Classic WoW, as well as how you can optimize the process. However, be aware that Wowhead has guides for each class individually. In them, we look at the best places for leveling, specializations and talents, as well as talk about the optimal equipment and spells that you need to buy.

Leveling in WoW Classic

WoW Classic has two main areas of leveling: quests and dungeons.

  • The easiest way to level up on missions is to just come to the locations and complete the tasks. You can do this alone, but in terms of efficiency, this method is inferior to pumping in dungeons, because. there is a chance that you will be constantly distracted. But there are also pluses: you can combine completing tasks with something else, for example, with leveling professions.
  • Dungeon crawling in is much more profitable, but for this you need a group of 5 people with whom you will not get bored, going through the same dungeon again and again. The advantage of this method is that, in addition to experience, you will receive equipment items that far exceed the rewards for tasks.
  • Grind is also a good way to upgrade: just select a location and start exterminating mobs.

We recommend combining the two methods: complete the quests in each zone until they run out, or until you feel ready to go to the next zone, and go to the dungeons in parallel. So you will get acquainted with the different sides of the game and not get bored of the monotony.

Quests

The easiest way to level up in WoW Classic is to complete quests. You can do it alone, do not depend on the group and play when it suits you. If you don’t have a reliable group, completing tasks is comparable in efficiency to completing dungeons

There are three factors that affect your speed when you level with quests: time in combat, time to cooldown, and time to move.

  • Time in battle , as you might guess, depends on the speed of killing the mobs needed for the task. You can significantly reduce this time if you buy new spells in a timely manner and use equipment with the most optimal characteristics.
  • Cooldown Time is the amount of time you spend regenerating health or mana after killing mobs. Unlike the current version of WoW, in the classic game you won’t be able to continuously kill mobs and you will have to pause to recover. The Spirit, food and drink stat, as well as bandages that you can create with the First Aid skill 9 will help shorten the recovery periods.0014
  • Travel time is the time you spend moving between tasks or locations. Until you get a mount at level 40, this factor will be crucial, so it’s especially important to be able to optimize your routes. Quest add-ons, such as Questie or ClassicCodex, as well as our guides, for example, Leveling routes for Alliance players and Leveling routes for Horde players will help to significantly reduce the time for moving

Comparison of experience when playing solo and in a group

Most tasks you can do alone, but sometimes it is useful to team up with others, especially for tasks that require several players. Playing together with a friend, you will not only have a great time, but you will also be able to kill mobs much faster. But do not forget that the experience gained for killing mobs is divided equally among all members of the group, so in numerical terms for one mob you will receive less experience. On the other hand, you’ll kill mobs (and complete quests) faster, and you won’t have to rely on other players to complete group quests. And you will also have someone to talk to!

For killing mobs in a group, you get a small bonus that slightly compensates for the division of experience. For example, let’s say you kill a mob that gives 100 experience to one player. The calculations below assume that all players are of the same level, as at different levels, the experience for the same mob is different.

  • Solo: 100 units experience
  • 2 players: 50 xp experience per person
  • 3 players: 39 each. experience per person
  • 4 players: 33 units each experience per person
  • 5 players: 28 each. experience per person

It is important to note that this only applies to the experience gained for killing mobs, while all players in the group receive the experience for completing tasks in full. Thus, the loss of experience for killing mobs in a group is compensated by the speed of completing tasks. When choosing between playing in a group or solo, always consider how long it takes you to complete the task and how much experience you get for killing mobs.

Keep in mind that we strongly discourage you from doing missions as part of a raid. Firstly, in the raid you will not be able to complete tasks, and secondly, the experience for killing monsters will be significantly reduced.

Dungeons

Leveling in dungeons means going through them in a group of players. With a good group, you can quickly go through the dungeons, while gaining not only experience, but also equipment that is superior in quality to the quest. But you are always dependent on others, and if you do not have a pre-assembled group, you will have to spend time finding like-minded people among other players. There are different ways to find a group, but the most popular of them is the SearchGroup chat channel (in game chat type /join SearchGroup).

Try to find players who can play together for a long time, because the need to look for new people every few hours significantly reduces the rate of experience for completing dungeons. Don’t forget that in classic WoW, players need to run to the entrance to the dungeon themselves, only the Warlock can summon them using the Summoning Ritual.

Another disadvantage of leveling in dungeons is isolation from the world: if you play on a PvP server and level in dungeons, other players will not interfere with you, but, on the other hand, you will not be able to level up your character and profession at the same time. However, this is not such a significant problem, because in the dungeons you will receive more gold, which you can then spend on leveling up the profession. Keep in mind though that classic WoW is very open world and player interaction so you’re missing out on a lot if you don’t get out of the dungeons, but that’s up to you of course — level the way you like!

The undeniable advantage of leveling in dungeons is the rewards for killing bosses: in high-level dungeons, such as Blackrock Depths and Blackrock Spire, you can get BC equipment (from «Best in Slot» — the best among items of this type), which will greatly facilitate your life at level 60.

In principle, you can go through the dungeons in any group, but there are two most optimal compositions (sometimes called «meta»): melee cleave and spell cleave. (Note trans.: I see no reason to translate the names of the setups, because in the game they are called that way.)

Dungeon Quests
You can easily level up to level 60 without going into the dungeons, but we still recommend visiting them at least once to complete the corresponding quests. For some of them, you will receive items of Rare quality, which are in no way inferior, and sometimes even superior to the loot from the dungeons themselves.

However, some tasks can be difficult to get, especially if you don’t know where to go and what to do in advance. To help you out, we’ve put together the WoW Classic Dungeon Quest Guide. In it you will find a description of each dungeon-related quest, as well as how to get them.

Dungeon Grind
Some dungeons are especially popular with groups oriented towards the leveling method. However, please note that if you want to play them at lower levels, you should do so with caution.

Horde players can enter their first dungeon earlier, Alliance: Molten Chasm becomes available from level 13, and the Alliance will have to wait until level 16 to enter the Deadmines. At the beginning, both factions will go to different dungeons, until at level 30 they leave the safe starting zones and move on to higher level dungeons.

  • Fiery abyss — 13-18 Levels
  • Mesenaniy caves — 18-25 Levels
  • Dark Fang fortress — 23-30 Levels
  • Dead copy — 16-23 Levels
  • Prison — 23-30 Levels
  • Scarlet Monastery — levels 30-44 (start in the Graveyard, then Library, Armory and Cathedral)
  • Zul’Farrak — levels 44-49 60 levels

Grinding in the open world

Grinding means that you stay in a place with a high density of mobs and kill them over and over again. This is a good way to level up if you have already completed all the tasks in the location, but have not yet reached the level required in the next one. For grinding, places with mobs that you can kill with minimal rest time are great.

Nobody forces you to sit in one place all the time and grind, but it’s a good idea to get in the habit of killing all the mobs along the way between tasks. Considering that in the game you spend the most time on movement, killing mobs on the go can be a good compensation. If you learn how to effectively combine grinding and completing tasks, it will be much easier for you to pass the minimum requirements of high-level zones.

Grinding is a popular leveling method for classes that can easily kill multiple mobs at once, such as Mages. Our WoW Classic Mage Leveling Guide details the best AOE Mage talents and places to grind.

Leveling order in WoW Classic locations

If you want to speed up your leveling, try to decide in advance which zones you will play in, whether it be dungeons, tasks or even grind, and plan your routes in advance. The better you think over the trajectories of movement within each zone, the faster you will swing. But, of course, if you have not trained to complete tasks in the most efficient way in advance on pirate servers, it will be difficult to make such a route. In this case, it is enough just to know when it is time to move to the next zone.

Starting and Secondary Zones

Each race has two themed zones: a starting zone where your character begins his adventure, and a secondary zone adjacent to the first. Starting zones are for characters level 1-10, and secondary zones are for characters 10-20 (the exception is the Northern Steppes, which have enough tasks up to level 30), but we advise you to get a couple more levels from above before moving on to next zone. Players on PvP servers will also find it useful to know that the starting and secondary zones are not controversial, which means that you can level up in them without fear of attack from other players.

It is important to note that your character is not tied to his starting zone, so you can safely go to the zone of any other race and do tasks there. This will take a lot of time and your path will most likely take you through higher level zones and possibly a different continent, but if you want to play with a friend who started as a different race, or if another zone is more to your liking, nothing can stop you.

In the list below we have divided the zones into levels. But keep in mind that this division is advisory in nature and you can always add or subtract a couple of levels, depending on the situation.

For more information on Classic WoW zone levels, see our Alliance Leveling Guide and Horde Leveling Guide.

  • Starting Zone (1-10)
  • Secondary Zone (10-20)
  • Redridge Mountains / Ashenvale / Stonetalon Mountains / (20-25)
  • Wetlands / Duskwood / Hillsbrad Foothills (25-30)
  • Northern Stranglethorn (north) / Thousand Needles (30-35)
  • Badlands / Arathi Highlands (35-40)
  • Northern Stranglethorn (south) / Badlands / Dustwallow Marsh (40-45)
  • Tanaris / The Hinterlands / Feralas / Searing Gorge (45-50)
  • Blasted Lands / Un’Goro Crater / Azshara / Felwood (50-55)
  • Winterspring / Burning Steppes / Western Plaguelands / Eastern Plaguelands (55-60)
  • Starting Area (1-10)
  • Silverpine Forest (10-20)
  • Northern Barrens (10-30)
  • Stonetalon Mountains (20-30)
  • Ashenvale / Hillsbra Foothills (25-20)
  • Northern Stranglethorn (north) / Thousand Needles (30-35)
  • Wastes / Arathi Highlands (35-40)
  • Northern Stranglethorn (south) / Badlands / Dustwallow Marsh (40-45)
  • Tanaris / The Hinterlands / Feralas / Searing Gorge (45-50)
  • Blasted Lands / Un’Goro Crater / Azshara / Felwood (50-55)
  • Winterspring / Burning Steppes / Western Plaguelands / Eastern Plaguelands (55-60)

Quests to avoid : Many zones have quests that require a much higher level to complete.

So, for example, Northern Stranglethorn is a zone where you can enter at level 30, but the level of tasks in it varies from 30 to 45, and at some point you will have to go swing somewhere else. To understand if you are ready for a particular task, pay attention to its color in the task log:

  • Red means that the target of the quest is significantly higher than you in level (5 or more). It is recommended to postpone this task until your level is higher.
  • Orange means that the target of the quest is slightly higher than you in level (from 3 to 5). Most likely, you will be able to complete this task, but, just in case, it is better to find a group.
  • Yellow means that the level of the objective of the quest is close to yours (2 more or 2 less). You can complete this task alone.
  • Green means that the target of the quest is slightly lower than you in level (from 3 to 10). You can easily complete this task alone.
  • Gray means that the target of the quest is significantly lower than you in level (10 or more). For such a task, you will only receive 10% of the experience, so in most cases it is not worth spending time on it.

It is considered best to move to the next zone when your level is slightly above the minimum recommended, because. at a higher level, you will kill mobs faster and complete quests. But, of course, it all depends on whether you are playing alone or with a friend, whether you complete tasks, grind or go to dungeons.

Elite quests will be marked (Elite) in the journal. Even if the color of such a task is yellow and its level matches yours, you will have to kill very strong mobs, which will not be easy to deal with alone. But if you have friends, or if you can find a group, keep in mind that completing these tasks will give you more experience and more interesting rewards.

General tips for leveling in Classic WoW

Before we talked about different ways to level and strategies that will help you save time, now we will tell you what else you can do to increase your efficiency.

Equipment and Consumables

You’ll level up much faster if you know in advance what equipment suits your class best and where to get it. For example, for melee fighters, the quality of weapons is very important, and the same can be said about spellcasters and magic wands, thanks to which they can deal damage without spending mana.

To speed up leveling, it is useful to carry consumable items with you; although at lower levels you won’t have much of a choice, having food and drink with you is essential. As we have already said, you will not be able to continuously kill mobs, sooner or later you will have to stop to restore health or mana, and if you do not have food and drinks with you, this will take a very long time. You can buy them from the tavern owner or food and drink vendors in any capital and almost any camp. You can also find a magician who will create them for you, but remember to be polite and leave a tip!

There is another way to replenish health — bandages. They can be crafted from cloth that you get while leveling up, and when used, the bandages will restore your health over 8 seconds. Reload time is one minute. If you want to learn more about first aid, check out our WoW Classic First Aid Guide.

For more information on food, drink, and other consumables, check out our Guide to the Best Foods in WoW Classic.

Class and Weapon Experts

As you level up, you will periodically have to buy new spells. You can learn them from Class Trainers every two levels up to level 60. Trainers are located in the starting zones and capitals, but note that not all capitals have all the trainers: for example, there is no warlock trainer in Thunder Bluff.

Leveling guides have sections detailing the most important skills to acquire first. Read them to know what skills to buy at what level.

In addition to Class Trainers, there are Weapon Experts in the game, who are also located in the capitals. All characters start the game with one or two weapon proficiencies, and you will need to visit an Expert to learn how to use the rest of the weapons available to your class. You can discover a new weapon for yourself for only 10 coins, and every time you have such an opportunity, it is worth taking advantage of it. The location of all Weapon Experts, as well as the skills available to learn, can be found in the Weapon Skills Guide in WoW Classic.

Save up for a mount in advance

At level 40, you can buy your first mount, which will increase your mounted movement speed by 60%, which in turn will save you a huge amount of time when moving between tasks. However, level 40 players may find mounts very expensive. Paladin and Warlock get free mounts for completing the quest chain, but the rest of the classes will have to fork out.

Try to save up a lot of gold by level 40, because in order to get a mount, you will have to buy the appropriate riding skill for (not counting the reputation discount with the faction) and the mount itself for . To earn money, sell unwanted items to vendors, list valuable items like crafting materials on the Auction House, or save money by buying only the essential skills from your class’s Trainers.

For more information on mount prices and discounts, check out our WoW Classic Mount Guide.

Don’t forget to rest

Leveling in WoW Classic takes a lot of time, so don’t forget to rest! But keep in mind that while you are resting your character does not swing, so the time when he is idle, for example, while waiting for a ship or during a flight, can be used to go to the toilet, have a snack, or just stretch your legs. If you’re playing on a busy server, do your homework while you’re standing in line so that you don’t have anything to distract you from the game later.

You can even turn on auto run and take short breaks while your character runs to the next camp, but be aware that this can be dangerous without supervision. In WoW Classic, the default auto run key is Num Lock .

Accumulate experience bonus for rest

And a little more about rest. Sometimes you still have to leave the game to do other things. To get the most out of your offline time, we strongly recommend that you only exit the game in taverns or rest areas. The fact is that World of Warcraft has a whole system, which allows you to accumulate Rest Bonus when you are not in the game. You get the Bonus regardless of the place where you left the game, but it will accumulate much faster if you leave the game in taverns or, for example, capitals.

If you’re not sure you’re in a recreation area, take a look at your character’s portrait. In the default UI, it will have a golden aura around it and the «zzz» icon . In addition, when you log out of the game in the recreation area, the logout occurs instantly. In other zones, you will be prompted to wait 20 seconds before your character exits the game.

As the Rest Bonus accumulates, purple , the experience bar will become blue . Also, a mark will appear on it, showing how much bonus experience you have left. A rested character gets twice as much experience for killing mobs. When the Rest Bonus ends, the experience bar will turn purple again, and a message will appear in the chat: «You feel fine. »

The accumulation of the Rest Bonus is not a prerequisite for leveling. This system is designed to make it easier for players who can’t play often to catch up.

Don’t forget bags

Inventory limit is one of the biggest limiting factors when leveling in WoW Classic. To complete tasks, you will often have to collect loot from mobs, and the gray items that fall out can be sold to merchants for good money. If you have enough roomy bags, you will be able to collect not only quest items, but also valuable items that can then be sold or put up at the Auction House.

In WoW Classic, your character starts with one 16 slot bag, but other bags are easy to get. If you want to learn more about bags, check out our WoW Classic Bags and Item Storage Guide.

Profession leveling

Players often combine profession and character leveling, although this increases the overall leveling time. We recommend taking gathering professions such as Skinning, Mining and Herbalism and leveling them up as you complete quests and travel across Azeroth. This way you can earn more gold for skills and your first mount.

You should also pay attention to First Aid. This profession will allow you to create bandages from ordinary cloth, which, when used, restore a certain amount of health over 8 seconds and have a cooldown of one minute. First Aid is a Secondary Profession, which means you can learn it even if you already have two Primary Professions! If you want to learn more about First Aid, check out our WoW Classic 9 First Aid Guide.0005

Useful addons

In WoW Classic, tasks are not highlighted on the map, so addons are indispensable to speed up leveling. We recommend using Questie and ClassicCodex, which will display quest objectives and locations where you can pick up new ones, as well as give you the ability to pick up and complete quests automatically.

Engineering Guide 1-375 (WoW Burning Crusade / TBC 2.5.3)

Share:

In this guide, we will tell you everything about Engineering in Burning Crusade. Engineering is one of the most interesting professions in World of Warcraft. In TBC, the goblins and gnomes have developed new devices, reducing the chance of false positives. Below we will tell you how to start leveling engineering in Burning Crusade and how to choose a paired profession, list the races and classes suitable for engineers, describe the differences between the profession in Burning Crusade WoW and the current version, give teacher coordinates and useful tips on crafting items. A full list of recipes with sources of obtaining will be added to the guide later. The guide is relevant for version 2.5.3, but since the content of Burning Crusade will be released gradually, some merchants, tasks, factions and other objects may not be available.

Contents:

  • 1. Brief information about the profession
  • 2. Differences between engineering in TBC and engineering in the current version of the game
  • 3. Engineering teachers in Burning Crusade
  • 4. Reputation for engineers in Burning Crusade
  • 5. How to craft items in Burning Crusade
  • 6. Leveling engineering in WoW Burning Crusade
    • 6.1. Engineering boost 1-300
    • 6.2. Engineering Leveling 300-375

1. Brief information about the profession

Engineering is the delicate art of assembling tricky mechanisms — glasses, accessories, guns, sights and other explosive things that can knock out the wearer. In TBC, Engineers have a unique device, the Remote Exhaust Capacitor, which allows them to extract primal elemental particles from clouds (see details below).

In one of the latest patches, engineer vehicles will appear in the game — Vetrolet and Turbovetrolet! In the original version of the game, they appeared with patch 2.3, so you are unlikely to get your hands on them immediately after the release.

Specializations — goblin and gnome engineering — give access to unique recipes. Dwarves are famous for their pranks, and goblin contraptions have powerful but highly unreliable effects that can kill you on the spot.

Dual Professions

Engineering requires Mining materials (specifically Fel Iron Screwdriver and Hardened Adamantite Pipe crafted with ore and ingots). Elemental explosive is present in many recipes. Requires Mote of Fire and Mote of Earth to craft (both often found in mining). Simply put, engineering and mining are as inseparable as goblins and their explosives.

If you don’t want to go into gathering resources, you can take any crafting profession except Enchanting (engineering gadgets are mostly non-disenchantable, unlike items crafted with blacksmithing, leatherworking, and tailoring).

The best races and classes for engineers

Gnomes have the racial ability Engineering, a specialization that increases profession skill by 15 points.

Engineering is suitable for all classes without exception, especially hunters who can make their own guns and scopes. Engineering is sometimes referred to as a PvP profession, as bombs and other devices are of great use on the battlefield.

Engineers also have special glasses with excellent characteristics. Goggles come in a variety of types (cloth, leather, mail, and plate) and are considered incredibly strong for their level. Simply put, if you want to make your magician an engineer, nothing prevents this.

2. Differences between engineering in TBC and engineering in the current version of the game

Shadowlands engineering is much more like a profession from the TBC era than WoD and Legion engineering. Engineering devices in Shadowlands add variety to the gameplay and periodically misfire (they worked almost smoothly in intermediate additions).

  • After WotLK, the division between goblin and gnome engineering has become less clear. To change the specialization, it is enough to pay the teacher 150 gold, it is not necessary to complete all the tasks.
  • In the current version of the game, the Gnomish Army Knife replaces all engineering tools. In TBC, the gyro tool, spinner, etc. are separate items that occupy slots in bags.

3. Burning Crusade Engineering Trainer

Exodar and Silvermoon City (1-300)

  • Okkil , shopping series, exodar (/way 54.8 92.2)
  • Danve , Lunnosvet area (/WAY 76.8 40.8)
  • OKKIL and DUDVE

    9024 9024 Outland (300-375)

Engineering teachers in Shattrath only appeared in WotLK.

    • Lebowski , Honor Hold, Hellfire Peninsula, /way 55.6 65.6
    • K. Lee Petty , Telredor, Zangarmarsh, /way 68.6 50.2
    • Bigger , Thrallmar, Hellfire Peninsula, /way 54.8 38.6
    • Mac Diver , Zabra ‘genie, Zangartori, /way 34.0 51.0

    4. Engineer Reputation in WoW Burning Crusade

Engineers only have two reputation recipes, one of them can be purchased at Friendly: Cenarion Expedition — Schematic: Green Smoke Flare , Consortium — Blueprint: Elemental Seaforium Charge. Many engineers prefer not to download these reputations on purpose.

    5. How to craft items in Burning Crusade

Engineers need a workshop with an anvil to craft items, as well as a range of different tools. The Gnomish Army Knife is not available in TBC (it appeared in the game in the WotLK add-on).

The set of tools remains the same as in the classic:

    • Blacksmith Hammer
    • Tangential Spinner
    • Slotted Gyro Tool

. Spectacles require certain types of materials (fabric for woven spectacles, leather for leather spectacles, and so on). In addition to all of the above, the recipes contain additional materials that need to be farmed separately (see the list of recipes).

Engineering recipes can be obtained from a trainer, bought with reputation, dropped from monsters, and so on.

    Remote Exhaust Condenser

The Remote Exhaust Condenser is a unique device used to extract primordial elemental particles from clouds. To get the recipe for crafting the device, you need to complete the Remote Exhaust Capacitor! / Remote exhaust condenser! (requires level 60 and engineering skill 305). Clouds can be found in all Outland locations except Hellfire Peninsula. Try to get the recipe and craft the Capacitor as soon as you get to Zangarmarsh.

The Capacitor requires a Classic Spare Part, Ultra-Precise Arcanite Converter, 2x Handful of Fel Iron Screws, 2x Fel Iron Plating and 6x Primal Life (these parts are crafted from materials gathered in Outland).

To use the Capacitor effectively, you’ll need Ultrascan Detection Goggles, which show nearby clouds on the mini-map. Of course, you can search for clouds without glasses, but mana clouds in the Netherstorm without glasses do not appear at all, so sooner or later you still have to make them.

    • Mote of Life: Swamp Gas, Zangarmarsh (as of Patch 2.3 — Mote of Water)
    • Mote of Shadow: Fel Mist, Shadowmoon Valley added in patch 2. 3, may not be available immediately after release)

Swamp Gas, Fel Mist, Magic Twirl, Thunder Cloud

To use the Remote Exhaust Condenser, you need to approach the cloud and right-click on the device. Sometimes the clouds disappear before the capacitor has time to work. Try not to interrupt the casting of the spell until the particles are in your bag. Particles enter the bag directly, without a mining window. Make sure you have at least one free slot in your bag before using the Capacitor.

Starting with WoTLK, clouds are displayed on the map if there is a capacitor in the bag. In TBC, this requires Ultrascoping Detection Goggles. In addition, characters without glasses cannot see Arcane Twirl in the Netherstorm. When you go hunting for particles, don’t forget to bring your capacitor and goggles!
