Updated January 13, 2023: Another week has come for Destiny 2, which means missions, challenges, and rewards have been reset. The flames have gone cold as Valus Forge, aka Lord Saladin, has packed up his Iron Banner for the time being, set to return later this season. Players who weren’t able to finish title chasing or unlocking the full Iron Companion set of armor will get one more chance before the season comes to an end.

For now, things have returned to normal inside of Destiny 2 as the seasonal storyline More Than A Weapon continues on as well as a new way to add another catalystto the new exotic pulse rifle known as Revision Zero. While the exotic weapon has come to be known as mini Telesto in terms of breaking Destiny 2, players can now claim three catalysts for Revision Zero, giving it a distinct style that can be customized by each player once unlocked.

Here are the details for this week’s Destiny 2 reset and all the updated weekly challenges, content, and rewards to hunt. For the complete look at all the new content available for the week of January 10 including, Nightfalls, Crucible modes, and challenges, here is everything players need to know.

Weekly Nightfall and Modifiers

Nightfall Strike The Ordeal: The Warden of Nothing

Adept Modifiers:

Pestilence: When defeated, Psions spawn Void grenades at their feet.
Air Superiority: Flying units do increased damage.
Elemental Burn: Solar. 25% solar damage increase with 50% increase to solar damage taken.

Hero Modifiers:

All previous modifiers.
Champions: Overload, Unstoppable, and Barrier.
Hero Modifiers: Extra Shields
Subtle Foes: Certain foes are stealthy when at a distance. They become visible when near a Guardian.

Legend Modifiers:

All previous modifiers.
Equipment Locked: Unable to change equipment once the mission starts.
Match Game: Enemy shields are highly resistant to all unmatched elemental damage.
Shielded Foes: Solar and Void.

Master Modifiers:

All previous modifiers.
Chaff: Radar is disabled.
Champions: Mob: This difficulty adds more champion enemies.

Vanguard Ops Elemental Modifiers: Arc

Season of the Seraph Activities

It’s a new season which means new activities for players to check out. Season of the Seraph lets players undertake a weekly mission called Operation: Seraph’s Shield. These missions take players to Braytech facilities, where new layers of security need to be broken each week to help awaken Rasputin as well as open new opportunities to empower the exotic pulse rifle Revision Zero.

A new matchmade activity called Heist Battlegrounds is also available where players revisit Braytech facilities to bypass new security and defensive systems attempting to stop them. Once inside, players will need to deal with hordes of Xivu Arath’s Wrathborn.

Raid and Dungeon Rotation

Originally introduced during Season 17, Bungie has moved older Raids and Dungeons to a weekly rotation to make them farmable with updated rewards.

The Wellspring and Throne World

The Wellspring continues to offer powerful rewards even during the new season. Each day, the Wellspring activity switches between Defend and Attack. Starting off on Reset Day, players can take part in the Attack version and earn Veritas Armor as well as legendary weapons. Players will need to obtain three with Deepsight Resonance to unlock its frame for crafting.

In addition, the weekly reset has refreshed pinnacle drops, both from the Wellspring, Preservation, and the Vox Obscura replayable exotic mission.

Weekly Story Mission: The Last Chance. Fire Pit modifier as well as Overload and Unstoppable champions.

Season of the Seraph Weekly Challenges

Season 19 brings new challenges for players to work on over the course of 10 weeks. As players have found in season’s past, objective range from finishing seasonal story content, getting a certain number of kills, completing various activities and more. Rewards for these objectives include XP, Bright Dust, seasonal items, and on occasion, items or resources.

Week 6 Challenges:

More than a Weapon VI — Complete Week 6 of More than a Weapon.

CQC Loadout — Defeat 125 targets with Glaives with bonus progress for Guardians. In addition, defeat 50 combatants in Heist Battlegrounds with melee final blows.
Apex Armorer — Masterwork a piece of armor.
Crucible Ornament — Acquire thje Crucible ornament for Veles-X.
Absolutely Stunning — Stun Champions 50 times.

Trove Guardian is located in Anchor of Light, while the wandering nightmare is the Fallen Council at Archer’s Line.

The Dreaming City is at a riding curse level this week, which means Petra Venj can be found in Divalian Mists and has The Oracle Engine mission for the next week. The Blind Well features Hive enemies and the plague, Cragur.

Finally, the Ascendant Challenge is the Cimmarian Garrison through the Chamber of Starlight in Rheasilvia.

Trials of Osiris Map and Weekly Adept Weapon

As Bungie previously revealed, Trials of Osiris has undergone a makeover to not only make it more accessible, but to make it more rewarding as well. Gone are the win requirements tied to specific rewards as Saint-14 now has a reputation system that rewards players for ranking up through playing and completing bounties.

With each Tuesday comes a fresh weekly reset in Destiny 2 and we’ve got everything you need to know for this week, from Nightfall to Throne World, Europa, and Legacy activities. Here’s the full Destiny 2 weekly reset (January 10).

Destiny 2‘s Season of the Seraph has finally arrived, and it started with a bang, bringing Guardians and Rasputin together again, as well as reintroducing Ana Bray and Osiris.

There’s also a whole new season pass, seasonal artifact, and seasonal challenges to complete, meaning you’ll want to log in every week ahead of Lightfall.

This week, the Nightfall is Warden of Nothing from Forsaken.

Modifiers:

Rewards:

Pinnacle reward: Get a score of 100k. Since modifiers are fixed, this requires a high-difficulty run.

The Splicer Season in Destiny 2 had its eighth weekly mission and the finale seems close based on what’s going on with Curia, Osiris and Lakshmi.

The Splicer Season in Destiny 2 just included a weekly mission that was longer than usual and used a new Expunge location on Europe called «Delphi» which is a lair. Curia. The Curia is a Mind-Possessed Vex introduced into history a long time ago, and has played a pivotal role in the events of the Dreaming City since the launch of the Forsaken. She was also behind Last City’s Endless Night this season. This interesting character was created by the Vex in order to understand and challenge the logic of the Hive Sword, which Curia did by learning how to model parts of Oryx before he took it and gave it to Savathun, the Witch Queen. nine0003

However, this week’s mission was bittersweet for longtime fans of Destiny 2 , because Curia had never met the Guardians before and was touted as a legendary character, but lost in a single fight. . Curia, Blade Transformation, Dreaming Mind no longer exists; This event may not seem like a big deal, but it will likely have branching consequences that will show up in the Witch Queen expansion early next year. Even if the showdown might seem disappointing or didn’t bring all the hype Bungie has created over the years, this isn’t the end of the Season of the Splicer story arc. nine0003

After Curia’s defeat, it seems like The Last City is finally seeing some light piercing the veil of Endless Night, but things are still not getting better. Lakshmi is pleased with her victory, despite all her attempts to undermine the alliance between the Vanguard and the Elksni of the House of Light, led by Mythrax, but her plan is not fully revealed. Players learned last week that Lakshmi proposed a coup to make Saint-14 the new titan vanguard, and she did the same with Osiris to replace Ikora Rey and lead the warlocks. nine0003

Osiris, on the other hand, has been out of his mind for several seasons. This chain of events was set in motion at the very beginning of the Season of the Hunt, when Osiris was on the moon and lost his Light due to his Ghost, Sagira, sacrificing herself to save him. Since then, Osiris’s judgment seems to have been clouded to the point where he looked suspicious, such as when he showed great interest in the Crown of Sorrow found in Glycon’s heart last season. This season, Osiris has acted strangely to the point that many Destiny 2 fans have speculated that the legendary Warlock is actually Sawathune — or at least under her control.

However, another big piece of history this week came in the form of the Under Endless Night book, which was Chapter 9 — Prediction. Here Guardians can read about a strange conversation between Lakshmi and Osiris, which talks about how difficult it is to distinguish friend from foe in the dark. Lakshmi states that this little dawn is just «a flash of lightning before the coming storm». This hints at a final confrontation between Lakshmi and Eliksni, probably in a civil war scenario. nine0003

Osiris could be an active participant in this process or manipulate things from the shadows, especially if the theory that he is Savatún turns out to be correct. So the Curia’s defeat might seem like the end of things, but there’s a lot more going on in Destiny 2 , and the Season of the Mutant is arguably one of the game’s best results in a while.
