Safe codes

There are four The Last of Us safe codes and combinations in the game: each consists of a safe and a combination hidden away elsewhere. The last thing you want is to have one and no idea where the other is. So to help you find and open all 4 — in the Outskirts, Bill’s Town, Pittsburgh and Suburbs — we’ve got directions, locations and all the rewards you can earn here. We’ve also just got the codes if you want to cut out all the actual work.

The Last of Us supplements boost really important skills that can help keep you alive. The let you increase your health, listening distance, crafting speed and so on. They even let you unlock the ability to use a shiv to escape a clicker if you get grabbed which is basically essential. The more of these pills you find, the stronger you get and the easier you’ll survive. There are loads too, over 500, and we’ve got all the locations in this guide.

Training Manuals

The Last of Us Training Manuals upgrade Joel’s gear — find the right ones and you can reuse shivs, improve weapon upgrades, increase melee damage, or boost blast areas for bombs and Molotovs. You basically want them all, as they’re all extremely useful, and this guide lists where to find them all.

Weapons

There are some trusty The Last of Us weapons you’ll probably fall back on a lot — things like the revolver or hunting rifle. However, it’s good to have back up options and while some guns are unmissable, there are some you can find sooner rather than later, or potentially miss out all together. This guide has every weapon location to get you tooled up as fast as possible.

Weapon upgrades

You’ll want to find all the The Last of Us weapon upgrades to get the best out of your guns. They increase things like fire rate or reload speed, and generally enhance what any given weapon gets better at — so more armor piercing power, say, or better spread for a shotgun. You’re basically not getting the best out of your gear unless you find them and we have how to do that here.

Upgrading your weapons is important but you need The Last of Us Tools to effectively ‘level up’ your upgrade ability and increase various weapon attributes fully. There’s only five in the entire game though and if you miss one, you’ve missed it. So we’ve got where to find them all here.

Keycard

The Last of Us keycard is confusing because it’s something the game only does once, meaning it’s easy to not be entirely sure what you’re looking for. Not to mention the fact there are stalkers and a Bloater to worry about while you’re working it all out. The short version is there’s a door you can only open with mysterious key but having never done it before it’s easy to have no idea what you’re meant to be looking for, so let us take the guesswork out of that and show you where to find it.

Artifact collectibles

The Last of Us artifact collectibles are pure collectible fodder: notes, letters, pictures and objects that Joel and Ellie can find to flesh out the world. Each one tends to tell a story or fill out some lore, so they’re worth finding if if you want to know everything, or need to 100% the game. There are over 80 artifact collectibles in the game and our guide lists all their locations.

Firefly Pendants

The Last of Us Firefly pendants are another pure collectible. There are 31 in total (though one of those is a secret one you get as part of the story), and are often difficult to find because they’re tiny and usually in hard to reach areas. Fortunately, we’ve got all their locations here for you.

Comic Books

The Last of Us comic books are another collectible in the shape of a Savage Starlight series Ellie starts reading after Bill’s Town. Finding the whole series becomes its own mini side-quest and with only 14 issues to find it’s a much more achievable goal than some, and while you can’t read the comics in their entirety, the back covers tell their own story and even comment on the plot of The Last of Us Part 1 itself.

A very popular way of spending time is playing computer games. Some of them turn out to be amazing, immersing in their world and not letting go until the end of the story. That game was The Last of Us.

Basic information

The game «The Last of Us», which was released in the CIS countries in 2013 under the name «One of Us» — is a computer game in action adventure with elements of survival horror and stealth action. The plot takes place in a world that has survived after a global pandemic. The main characters are the smuggler Joel and the girl Ellie.

The main story takes an average of 14 hours 44 minutes to complete, along with additional tasks — 17 hours 30 minutes. But it happens that at some points it is difficult for players to navigate the course of the plot. To understand in such situations, the guide for the passage of the game «One of Us» and comments on it will help.

Chapter Guide

To play One of Us on PS4, you need to know that it consists of a prologue and 10 chapters, each containing puzzles. Before starting the game, you need to choose one of the difficulty levels: low, medium, high, maximum or realism.

Important! Realism mode in Russian adaptation on PS3 is free, on PS4 it is paid. Passing the game in this mode is recommended only for experienced players.

Prologue

In The Last of Us PS4, the walkthrough begins with the player taking control of a girl, Sarah. You need to look into the father’s room, where the heroine finds out that the whole world has been engulfed by a virus.

Joel, his brother Tommy and Sarah are leaving but have an accident. Joel takes his daughter in his arms and runs with her. Already at the exit from the city, they meet a military man who will help them, but then receive an order to kill them. The bullet hits Sarah and the girl is killed.

Quarantine zone

In The Last of Us, Chapter 2 begins 20 years later. Joel, like the rest of the survivors, lives in a quarantine zone that is patrolled by the military. After a dialogue with Tess, he needs to head to the checkpoint. It will not work to get out, the point will be closed due to the explosion. You need to go into the room, heal and move the closet to open a secret passage. Going downstairs, you need to put on a gas mask so as not to breathe in the spores of mushrooms.

The hero has the ability to listen and thus find out where there are Cicadas that need to be killed. In the room you can find cartridges, food supplies and documents. As a result, Joel and Tess go to the market, where a shootout begins. Enemies must be killed. After finding the next batch of enemies (it is not necessary to kill them), you can quietly pass by.

Robert

At the market you need to find out that Robert is at the docks and go to him. There you have to kill the enemies and get into Robert’s office. He starts a gunfight and tries to run away. You need to catch up with him and find out where the weapon went. Robert resists, but then confesses that he sold everything to the Cicadas. After that, the head of the Cicadas appears and says that she agrees to return the weapons if the smuggling work is done. After that, you need to run after Marlin and hide from the military.

Ellie

Having reached the place where Marlene was leading, the hero discovers a contraband item. It turns out to be the girl Ellie, who needs to be brought to the Capitol. Tess, along with the head of the Cicadas, goes to look at the weapon promised as a reward.

After getting to a secluded place, you need to wait for Tess and the three of you will hit the road. Unexpectedly, the trio are discovered by the military, but they manage to get away with it. The device will display data that the girl is sick. She was bitten twenty days ago, but did not get sick. From her blood, the Cicadas want to make a vaccine that will save humanity.

Capitol

The military is chasing the trio. In the old museum, the hero discovers the dead man Cicada, who was supposed to meet Ellie. Tess was bitten by an infected, so she stayed to hold off the patrol and died in a shootout with him. Joel and his ward go to Tommy. He used to be one of the Cicadas, and can help with finding the lab. You need to go down to the subway, fight off the patrol and move on.

Note! Tess cannot be saved.

Subway and road to Bill

Tommy lives in another city, so Joel decides to rent a car from his friend Bill. Bill’s town is in the north, the road is through the forest. Ellie is afraid, but there is no turning back. You have to make your way through the forest and small locations with houses. On the first of them you need to climb onto the roof and go along the board to the next one. There are many traps in front of Bill’s house — you need to be careful.

Even with the utmost care, the hero falls into a trap and ends up hanging upside down. In this position, you will have to shoot at enemies. The owner of the house will come to the rescue, but he will behave very embittered: he will not believe and will begin to check for bites. The girl will hit him on the head with a pipe. After it turns out that Bill does not have a car, but you can collect it by getting some details in the city.

In search of parts

On the table you need to take a map where the school and various traps are marked. Bill will lead Joel to the place where he keeps weapons and various parts. He will also warn that there are many infected around. The hideout is in the basement of the church. On the road, Bill offers to leave the girl, because such connections do not lead to anything good.

After receiving the shotgun, you need to go to the school. The road will pass through the cemetery with runners and clickers, which you need to fight off.

School. Machine

We need to find the car that crashed into the school, it is relatively intact. There you should kill all the infected. On the run from them, the hero finds Frank’s house, who was bitten and hanged himself. In the cache you need to pick up the whole car and battery. The car starts up with a roar, attracting runners to fend off. Ellie and Joel leave to look for a university with a lab.

At the entrance to the city, a man and a girl see a man who asks for help. It turns out that he is faking, they will start shooting at the car.

The town is completely gangster. This place must be beaten off and go to the bridge.

Hotel

In the game «One of us» in the hotel, the passage is quite difficult. Joel and Ellie see that the bandits have gone to the inn and follow them there. You need to get through the cafe in stealth mode, hiding from bandits and clickers. The cable will break in the elevator, but Joel will fall into the sewers into the water and survive.

First kill

There will be a lot of clickers in the tunnels. When the hero returns to the hotel, he will see a ladder on the floor. When Joel climbs up it, one of the bandits will throw him down and start drowning him. At this time, the hero needs to catch a gun in the water. How to collect all trophies in The Last of Us

You can earn trophies by beating The last of us. They are divided into several types:

Bronze. To get all 9 The Last of Us bronze trophies, the walkthrough must include the entire main story and a few side quests.
Silver. To get 18 Last of us silver trophies, the playthrough must consist of carefully playing the main story and completing more difficult side quests.
Gold. You need to finish the «Last of As» with the passage of all the story and main missions. There are 9 such trophies.

Walkthrough The Last of us

On the eve of his birthday, the main character Joel received a wrist watch as a gift from his daughter. And it would seem that absolutely nothing could happen on this beautiful moonlit night. And suddenly the phone rang. It’s Joel’s brother Tommy calling. Then, in the passage of the game The Last of us, you need to go to the chest of drawers and carefully examine the postcard lying on it. Approach Tess and follow her to the patrol. After sticking to the left side, walk up to the wall and press against it. Now you will see the light from the lantern — this is the enemy from above. Try to remain unnoticed and go around the corner, and then continue through The Last of us, sticking to the left side. After walking a little, you will see a reservoir, into which you will certainly jump. Then climb up and look around to find a safe spot. When you get to that hideout on the other side, take a breath. Then you can open the gate and exit, heading towards the building on the right. Stop and wait for the enemy to turn away. You can then hold and choke. Now go to the opposite end to the window. Through it you will get to the street. Carefully inspect everything and find a sewer pipe. Climb into it and make your way into the building. Inside, go to the stairs, which you need to climb up. Once out, turn left immediately. Now bend down a lot and climb through the loophole in the wall. After getting out of it, start running. As soon as you are near the fork, be sure to turn right. So you will come running to a closed grate. Open it, and then go to Tess.

Continuing the passage of The Last of us with your partner, rise to the top point. From there you can clearly see the Capitol in the distance. Then you can turn right and climb inside. There you will see stairs leading up. Climb up one floor. You need to be vigilant there, because there are clickers. One of them stuck to the wall and you can see how the virus disfigured his face. Approach the door and break it down. Then you can turn right. Together with Tess, try to open the next door. Just be careful, because there is a nutcracker. Destroy it and run to the marked button and hold it down. Then you can just wander around the building and find the attributes you need in it. It is worth noting that if some doors are closed, then just use a knife on them. By the way, a knife is a pretty profitable find or purchase. Once in the last room on the left side, pick up and drop Tess to the yellow ledge. In the further passage of The Last of us, she will divert the attention of the enemy. You just follow her. Now pick up and throw the bottle to the right to divert the attention of another enemy. After passing it, you can climb up and go to the stairs. Then be sure to remove the box blocking the path.
