It has indeed been a long, long road for AMC’s The Walking Dead. Well, not so much for the dead. Now, with The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 3 premiering shortly, the survivors’ journey will finally find its end. The trailblazing apocalyptic drama thriller began its final installment in 2021, closing the curtains on one of the most popular TV series of the last decade.
An iconic and popular television series in the genre, The Walking Dead was developed by Frank Darabont and is based on the eponymous comic book series. Across all the seasons, the series stars Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Christian Serratos, Josh McDermitt, Ross Marquand, Cooper Andrews, Khary Payton, and Seth Gilliam, among many others.
After running for a decade, the final and 11th season of the apocalyptic drama thriller was announced in the fall of 2020, with Angela Kang serving as the showrunner for the season. The final season was billed as a trilogy with three eight-episodes parts releasing across two years. The season kicked off on August 22, 2021, with part one, and part two releasing on February 20, 2022. So far, the season has received more or less positive reviews from critics and fans alike.
Despite the anxiety-inducing end of Part 2, we are hoping that it’s going to be an exciting last chapter and fans are definitely speculating what’s coming in the upcoming part of the final season. Of course, our favorite survivors will do what they need to do to save each other and themselves from the Commonwealth. But that doesn’t mean we know what their destiny holds (not yet, anyway). While some characters find a new home in the spinoffs, others might meet their end, unfortunately. With all guns blazing till the end, The Walking Dead Season 11 is sure to mark the end of an era.

When Is The Walking Dead Season 11 Coming Back to AMC?

The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 3 premieres on AMC on Sunday, October 2, at 9 pm ET/ 6 pm PT, starting with Episode 17, followed by weekly releases of every new episode. Viewers in the UK can catch the premiere the following Monday, i.e., on October 3, 2022, on Star through Disney+.
Where Is The Walking Dead Season 11 Streaming?
As is the case with other AMC shows, The Walking Dead will also be streaming on AMC+ and there’s some extra good news for AMC+ subscribers. You can watch the last part of the final season one week ahead on streaming, as is AMC+’s standard practice, with the first two episodes streaming together on the day of the premiere and subsequent episodes releasing a week early on the streamer.
In other words, if you have an AMC+ subscription, you can watch the season’s episodes before they air on TV.
If you haven’t had a chance to catch up on The Walking Dead Season 11, then you can right now, along with the final part, on AMC+ or amc.com. You can also stream the series on other platforms like Fubo TV, Pluto TV, and AMC+ on Prime Video. Can You Watch The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 3 Without AMC+?
The answer is both yes, and no. The Walking Dead has gone on for so long that it’s obvious to find it on popular streaming services. The zombie apocalypse show is also available on Netflix with 10 seasons streaming. However, if you want to watch specifically Season 11, more so the final episodes, then AMC+ and the AMC website are your only option. Eventually, Netflix might add the latest season to their platform, but that won’t be happening until after it finishes airing.
To watch The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 3 on AMC+, you need to be subscribed to the streaming service. AMC+ is available on your browser and as an app that you can download on your Android and iOS devices to access the unlimited content library from the network. The official trailer for The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 3 proves that the last chapter is going full metal. Touching upon the arduous journey of fighting and surviving and fending off oppositions, that the protagonists have been on for the last 12 years, the clip reveals where they were and where they have finally arrived.
You’ll also get to see some of the earlier characters being featured. In short, the final chapter is going to be one, big, final battle, and quite a bloody one, as the tension among the groups reaches its epic finale.
What Is The Walking Dead Season 11 About?
The Walking Dead Season 11 (taking inspiration from the comic book issues 175 through 193), focuses on the survivors as they encounter the Commonwealth and the Reapers, who are taking over different territories. Between parts 1 and 2 of the final season, the survivors got scattered all over but part 3 is going to bring them all back together (hopefully), for one final battle with the Commonwealth. How Many Episodes Are There in The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 3?

The Walking Dead Season 11, titled The Final Season Trilogy, has been slated for 24 episodes and releasing in three parts with eight episodes per part, with each episode running for about 45 minutes.

The penultimate episode of The Walking Dead season 11 has now landed, and the stakes have never been higher ahead of next week’s finale, which will be the last episode of the show ever.
The 23rd episode, titled Family, landed on Monday (14th November) and saw Pamela Milton (Laila Robins) risk everything to keep control of her community.
Elsewhere, the life of beloved character Judith Grimes was left hanging in the balance, but will she survive?

This is the final part of the 11th season with Rest in Peace set to draw the entire series to a close on Monday 20th November in the UK.
Thankfully, fans have films and spin-offs to look forward to — including one focused on longtime favourite Daryl Dixon.
The Walking Dead writer and producer Scott M Gimple told Total Film: “Daryl is a fish out of water to start with [in the spin-off]. If Daryl finds himself with new people, he’s a fish out of water.
«In France, in a country that’s going through the apocalypse, [it’s] an entirely different thing. He finds himself having to reinvent himself again, having to find himself again, and also, not being with – probably – the only people in the world he’s comfortable with.”

The Walking Dead season 11 episode 24 will air on Monday 20th November 2022 in the UK (via Disney Plus).
The episode is ominously titled ‘Rest in Peace’ and, as the final episode of the series, will likely lead into the spin-off series centring on Daryl (Norman Reedus), and also one focused on both Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan).

Season 11 of The Walking Dead started airing on 23rd August 2021 in the UK, one day behind the US. The season then took a break after 8th October 2021, before returning for more zombie action and drama in episode 9 on 21st February 2022.

AMC’s long-running series The Walking Dead is going through hard times. Robert Kirkman, creator of the comic and developer of the TV adaptation, has already announced the release date for the final 11th season of The Walking Dead, with the ninth episode set to premiere on February 20, 2022.

The 11th season of The Walking Dead is the longest in the series, with a total of 24 episodes released in three parts of eight. Part 1 of The Walking Dead season 11 premiered on August 22, 2021, Part 2 premiered on February 20, 2022, with Part 3 most likely on will return at the end of summer 2022.
The Walking Dead season 11 has wrapped filming, and the summer release in late August or early September leaves time for post-production. Tales of the Walking Dead is also set to premiere this summer, but whether it will air alongside the original series’ final season or ahead of its premiere is unknown.
The latter option is more likely as it allows AMC to air The Walking Dead content for a longer period of time, similar to how Fear the Walking Dead Season 7 is only returning now that Season 11 Part 2 has ended «Walking Dead».
The plot of season 11 part 3?
The final episode ends with Lance Hornsby claiming Alexandria, Hilltop and the Commonwealth Coast.
This turn of events follows Hornsby’s failed attempt to kill Maggie, as well as Daryl, Aaron, and Gabriel openly rebelling against him. With no homes to return to, these survivors are now on the run. They team up with Negan, his new wife Annie, and her Riverbend band, but even together they are no match for the Commonwealth soldiers guarding their former communities.
When Season 11 returns with Part 3, Hornsby will most certainly be on the hunt for them, and the resolution of this conflict will almost certainly be a big part of the final episodes of the series. Meanwhile, Connie, Kelly, Eugene, Max, Magna, and Ezekiel lead an investigation into missing Commonwealth residents. They hope to dig up more dirt about the misdeeds of the Commonwealth elite, and what they find is sure to stir up even more tension in a society where resistance to the ruling class is already brewing.
How The Walking Dead season 11 will end (Based on the comics)
Given the many changes that AMC’s The Walking Dead has made to the comics, it’s very unlikely that the series will end the same way, but there will be similarities.
The resistance brewing among the lower classes of the Commonwealth will turn into a rebellion, just like in the comics. Mercer is also likely to rebel against Governor Pamela Milton and civil war could break out.
In the comics, Rick stops this and then Pamela is arrested, making way for a more just government to be established in the Commonwealth. The comics also end with Rick being killed by Sebastian, and while shocking, his death ultimately helps pave the way for a more peaceful future.
The Walking Dead comics then give a glimpse of that future, ending with a flash forward of an adult Carl raising his family and many characters including Michonne, Maggie and Negan still alive and well in a safer world that Rick helped create.
The planned The Walking Dead spin-offs and movies mean it’s unlikely that The Walking Dead series will end with any such flash forward. It’s also unlikely that Rick will have a role in the series finale (although it’s not impossible).
