Uncharted 4 — Chapter 12 Puzzle Solution (Rotating Balls and Symbols)

Posted in uncharted 4

A complete guide to the Chapter 12 puzzle in Uncharted 4 which consists of several rotating balls and bright lights that shine different symbols from above. Players must rotate the balls and align them correctly with the shining lights to complete this trial.

First a quick recap to how we got here. By now you will have explored most the islands, looking for clues to the whereabouts of the treasure. Having followed the arrows in the sea you arrived at the main island and had to find an alternate route to the other side of the blocked temple entrance. The path was perilous as you grappled and climbed round and above the template entrance before dangling all the way down to the circular temple below.

Standing on the entrance plate did not successfully open the inner door but with a little help from Sam you were able to gain entrance to puzzle room, shown in the image at the top of this post.

How the puzzle works

The puzzle consists of a single wheel in the middle of the room which players can walk up to and use. The left analogue stick moves the balls above in a horizontal direction; left or right depending which way you choose.

Pressing the square button rotates the smaller cogs (shown above) on the wall. If a ball is on top of one of the cogs then pressing square will rotate the ball. By continuously pressing square you can rotate a ball as much as you like.

The puzzle has three stages, which represent each of the three horizontal sets of balls on the wall. As you solve the lower puzzle the second one is activated. Solving the second, activates the final top puzzle.

How to solve

The key to solving this puzzle is to align the balls under the bright lights so that the symbol or picture from the light matches the symbol on the ball.

First row of balls

The main problem with this puzzle is that the first step is the hardest to understand because there appears to be a missing symbol on the left most light.

The right ball does have a symbol though so no problem here: just move the ball over a cog and rotate until the correct symbol is on the front. Then reposition the ball under the light and the symbol will match up.

But what about the left hand ball, it has no symbol?? What you have to do in this case is pay attention to the light shining down from above. It is only half full!

Rotate the left hand ball so that the lighter side of the ball is in the same position as the light shining down. The dark side of the ball must be on the other side i.e. in the shadow. In my game, the ball was half black (on the left) and half white (on the right). See the image above for details.

Now move both balls horizontally so they’re under the lights. Upon successfully matching up the symbols, the puzzle will update and several statues of highway captains will appear from the floor.

Second row

Now that the first row is out of the way the others make alot more sense. For the second row you now have lines rather than symbols but it’s a similar process. To make things a little harder the balls rotate at the same time but you combat this by shifting them all the way along so that only one ball is on a cog at a time. This let’s you concentrate on getting the right position without interfering with the other ball.

Once ready, align the balls under the light to complete this step. More statues will appear from the floor to signify that you have completed the step correctly.

Third row

The upper row has another slight variation on the puzzle theme. This time around the balls rotate incrementally themselves as you move the row horizontally. The cogs still work in the same manner so it’s just a case of rotating the balls the correct number of times before moving them horizontally into the shining lights.

Once you’ve completed all three sets, the remaining statues will appear at ground level and this puzzle is now complete. Congratulations!!

Parashurama & Ganesh Statue Puzzle Solution

By
Kaleb Smith

The Parashurama and Ganesh statue is the final puzzle of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, and the second puzzle that needs to be solved in chapter seven.

The final puzzle of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is the Parashurama and Ganesh statue puzzle near the end of chapter seven. The Parashurama and Ganesh puzzle is a combination of panel depictions and movement, and it also requires players to interpret one of the panels to affect the statue of Ganesh. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is part of the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection that was previously a PlayStation 4 exclusive, and will be available for both the PS5 and on PC beginning Jan. 28, 2022.

The Parashurama and Ganesh puzzle can be challenging to solve, players can find the solution more and complete this objective in less than a dozen steps in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Chapter seven is one of the most involved sections of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, featuring a couple of puzzles and more than a dozen collectibles to find. The first puzzle that players will need to complete in this chapter is the Shiva Light Beam puzzle, which is significantly more involved than the Parashurama and Ganesh puzzle. While solving both puzzles, however, be sure to search for all treasure locations in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy throughout chapter seven.

Following the completion of the Shiva Light Beam Puzzle in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, the Parashuram and Ganesh puzzle will require Cloe to use the two levers and pedestal in the center of the room to complete the puzzle’s solution. Pull the two levers down to reveal the panels of Shiva giving the axe to Parashurama and Parashurama cutting off one of Ganesh’s tusks. Return to the pedestal in the middle to begin solving the puzzle by rotating the first and outermost ring, the fifth and innermost ring, and the second, third, and fourth rings in between.

Follow the steps below to find the Parashurama and Ganesh puzzle solution in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy:

  • Rotate the outer ring to line it up with the background containing Parashurama’s right foot and Ganesh’s trident.
  • Rotate the second ring to line it up with the outer ring.
  • Rotate the third ring to line it up with the first and second rings, even though it moves them.
  • Rotate the fourth ring to line it up with the first, second, and third rings.
  • Rotate the innermost ring to line up with rings three and four, even though it moves them.
  • Return to the outermost ring and line it up with the background once more, and all five rings should match
  • After the puzzle has been solved, lower each of the Ganesh statue’s arms one at a time to finish the solution to this Uncharted: The Lost Legacy puzzle.

In childhood, people learn letters, read the first words, sentences, and one day pick up the first book. Books play a very important role in human life. For many people, books are an integral part of their lives, they serve as faithful and reliable friends and teachers.
Books open doors for us to a hitherto unknown mysterious world. They tell us about famous and famous personalities and ordinary people, about history, about sciences and discoveries, about countries, peoples and traditions, about human relationships, dreams, thoughts, feelings and so on.

Books nourish human souls, make them richer and stronger, they bring experience and knowledge. It is impossible to study and live without books.

Everyone has their favorite books. One enjoys reading history books; another prefers fiction; the third always needs something special — fairy tales, legends, ballads, textbooks, dictionaries, scientific articles, cookery books and the like. But we all read various books, and it is through them that we learn a lot of new things.

The history of the exhibition activities of the Balashikha Art Gallery in the field of naive art and the formation of the fund collection of naive art begins in 1996, when, on behalf of the Committee for Culture of the Administration of the Moscow Region, in preparation for participation at the International Exhibition of Naive Art in Bratislava «Insita-97» , the 1st Moscow Regional Exhibition-Competition «Naive Art of the Moscow Region» was organized and held on the basis of the Balashikha Art Gallery.

The result of the exhibition-competition was the completion of the regional collection of naive art and participation in the formation of the state national collection of naive art of Russia for participation in the INSITA-97 triennial in Bratislava .

The first entry into the collection of naive art came in 1998 from Nina Nikolaevna Zverkovskaya (1914-2004), a resident of Krasnoarmeysk, who donated four works to the museum. By 1999, the collection of naive art of the Balashikha Art Gallery consisted of 150 items. It contained 4 works by N.N. Zverkovskaya, 8 works by I.M. Nikiforov, 67 works by B.I. Zhivotov, 49 works by L.V. Kovtyukh.

The next big replenishment of the museum fund took place in 2002 — 960 works from the Correspondence People’s University of Art (ZNUA), Alma Mater of naive artists.

Starting from 2016, the activities of the Balashikha Art Gallery, in the field of naive art, took a slightly different turn. This was facilitated by cooperation with the Public Foundation for Naive Art «Island of Tarabarov» represented by its President S. D. Tarabarova.

The museum’s collection of naive art has been replenished with works by N.P. Almanova, V.G. Anosova, A.A. Belykh, S. Vickers, Lucy Voronova, Elena Golovan, V.V. Grigorieva, A.N. Derbeneva, D.I. Eremin, N. Zverolovleva, A.V. Kondratenko, O.A. Lobanova, V.I. Makarova, A. Polovinkina, A.D. Pyzhova, A.T. Cancer, M.A. Rzhannikova, A.V. Suvorov, I.S. Suvorov, Yu.P. Tatyanina, A.S. Trumpet.

In September 2017, the Balashikha Art Gallery put together a unique permanent exhibition of naive art. The exposition includes the works of German Blinov,
who equally easily owns the «spherical perspective» of large-scale landscape panoramas and the «close-up» of interpersonal relations; Lucy Voronova,
whose artistic education did not prevent her from preserving the purity and immediacy
in her work; Nikolai Gamayunov, whose «golden» autumn landscapes can be compared,
perhaps only with works by Mikhail Rzhannikov; Yevgeny Glyz, perhaps still too «young» for the title of a naive artist, but showing great promise in this
sense; Alexey Golovchenko with his «infernal» pines; Vasily Grigoriev, who conveyed to us the aesthetics of urban suburb subcultures; Anastasia Derbeneva with her «birch paradise»; Alexei Kirikovich, whose drawings amaze with their «childish» spontaneity and not at all childish talent of the highest standard; Sergei Leonov, son of the famous Pavel Leonov; Katya Medvedeva, whose name has become a legend
in Russian naive art; Vladimir Mizinov, for whom, after an injury, “paintings became life”; the famous Ivan Nikiforov, who embodied in his graphics a whole
historical layer of the first half of the 20th century; Mikhail Rzhannikov, who managed to preserve and embody in his paintings the purity and clarity of the Ural rivers and forests in industrial Lipetsk; Alexander Suvorov, whose work is genetically connected with the folk peasant painting.
