It might be one of the most popular competitive games on Switch, but Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is also a great cooperative game. Instead of facing off against each other, the game lets you and a few friends join forces to take on NPC opponents. The gameplay is just as frenetic as usual, although the ability to work as a team adds a fun layer of nuance to the action. Throw in a bunch of unlockable characters and plenty of difficulty settings, and it’s easy to sink hundreds of hours into Smash without realizing it.

Cuphead might be one of the hardest games on this list. In fact, it might be one of the hardest games on Switch. The dastardly platformer pits you against a new boss on each level, with fast reflexes and memorization skills needed to make it out alive. You can ease the burdens by teaming up with another player in local co-op, but you’ll still be in for a challenge. Regardless of how frustrating it becomes, Cuphead is always fun — thanks to innovative cartoon graphics and tough-but-fair mechanics.

November 19, 2020

As one of the few multiplayer Zelda games, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is already an oddity. Add in some musou-style action, and now it’s downright bizarre. But despite the big changes to the usual formula, Age of Calamity is a blast. It serves as a prequel to Breath of the Wild, with Link, Zelda, and other familiar faces going up against hordes of Bokoblins and fearsome Lynels. Playing local co-op is a blast (as you both slice your way through wave after wave of enemies), although it can be a bit taxing on the aging Nintendo Switch.

How to play with bots in PUBG — Gambling

If you want to practice playing any version of PUBG without stress, then the easiest way to do this is to go to the lobby with bots. Artificial intelligence, imitating live and rather stupid opponents, is needed in the game in order to make it easier for beginners to learn.

There are different ways to get into a match with bots depending on the platform. Let’s talk about everyone at once.

Start AI training mode

This option is only available to those who play the full version of the game PUBG: Battlegrounds — on PC or consoles.

  1. Select the Training tab from the main screen.

  1. Select the game mode (to switch to the corresponding menu, press the button on , which is located above the Start button ).

  1. Select mode AI Practice Match and click save. You can play in this mode only 10 times.

  1. Start the game.

Switch to another region

Other methods are more relevant for portable versions of the game. To enter a bot lobby on mobile, you need to make the game think you’re new.

This life hack can come in handy not only for training, but also in cases where you have difficulty completing quests. Kills and all other actions that you perform in a match with bots will be counted. nine0005

So, if you go to another server, the game will automatically transfer you to the very bottom of the internal ranking table. After that, you will get the opportunity to play about 5 matches with bots.

In PUBG: Battlegrounds , you won’t be able to change the region — it is tied to your account (depending on the platform), but we have already described how to change the region in PUBG Mobile in a separate guide.

How to change region in PUBG: New State

  1. Go to settings . To do this, click on the icon in the form of three dots in the upper left corner of the screen and select the appropriate item.
  1. At the bottom of the opened menu will be the line «Connection» dedicated to the server. Press «Change» to change the region. It’s free and there are no time limits.
  2. nine0021

    1. Start the game.

Switch between view modes and number of players in a team

PUBG players have the ability to switch between First Person View (FPP) and Third Person View (TPP), as well as the number of players in a team. Since all these options affect the gameplay, each type of game involves its own matchmaking.

Switching will reset your rank to allow you to get used to the new game type. So switching allows you to get at least a few matches against AI or weaker opponents. nine0005

How to switch view mode and number of players in a team on PC

    1. Switch to the Normal tab on the main screen.
    1. The corresponding switches will be directly above the button «Start» in the lower left corner of the screen.

How to switch view mode and number of players in a team PUBG Mobile

    1. Press the button «Select Mode» , which is located above the «Start» button in the main menu.
    1. The switches are located at the bottom right of the screen. Click on «OK» to confirm your choice and start the game.

How to switch the video card in Windows 11

Many PCs use processors with integrated integrated graphics to help them deliver essential video features while using low power. However, some PCs also have dedicated graphics cards that are used for more demanding applications and games. Usually, Windows 11 automatically switches between graphics cards based on the apps you use and the games you play. However, sometimes you may need to force a particular application or game to use a discrete graphics card or onboard integrated graphics. So how do you get the game to use your specialized and more powerful graphics card? On Windows 11, you can do this right from the Settings app without having to search for the settings you want in Nvidia or AMD apps. Here’s how:

    Quick Steps

How to change the graphics card used in the game:

    1. Start by opening the Settings app.
    2. On the right side, click or tap Display.
    3. On the right side, scroll to «Graphics» and click or tap on it.
    4. To set up a specific app or game, you must first select its type: Desktop App or Microsoft Store App.
    5. Click the Browse button and select the game or application executable. nine0020
    6. After clicking the «Add» button, the game is added to the list of applications for which you can specify which video card will be used. Click or tap a game in the list and then its Options button.
    7. A new dialog called «Graphics Settings» will open. You see the graphics cards you can use in your computer and which one saves power or provides the best graphics performance.
    8. Select the graphics card you want to use and click Save. nine0020

Why change the default video card used in the game? Why change the GPU used by specific applications?

Some desktop and most laptop processors have integrated video cards. The integrated graphics are not powerful enough to drive demanding applications and games that require a lot of graphics power. That’s why many computers also have dedicated graphics cards that use graphics chips, usually made by Nvidia or AMD. Dedicated graphics cards are much more powerful, yet consume more power than integrated graphics. nine0005

To balance performance and power consumption, computers must be able to use the correct graphics settings for every application and game you run. If the integrated graphics chip is powerful enough for Paint 3D, this is what your computer should be using. However, if you want to play the latest video game on Steam, you should switch to using a much more powerful Nvidia or AMD graphics card.

Normally, switching between the two graphics options is done automatically by your graphics drivers. However, sometimes some games (perhaps early development or games with bugs) may not switch to the dedicated graphics card. Another use case for this feature is when troubleshooting a dedicated graphics card, in which case you’ll want to select integrated graphics instead of a discrete graphics card on your computer to check if an app or game displays correctly. nine0005

Now let’s see how to change the graphics card used in a game or application.

Step 1: Open Windows 11 graphics settings.

Start by opening the Settings app. A quick way to do this is to press Windows+I on your keyboard. In the Settings app, make sure the System section is selected in the left pane. Then select «Screen» on the right.

Then scroll until you see a link called Graphics and click or tap it. You should find it in the related settings. nine0005

The Graphics page has a list of installed applications (which is not necessarily exhaustive) along with the graphics card they use by default. If the game or application you want to change is not listed, go to step 2. If it is listed, go to step 3.

Step 2: Select the application or game for which you want to replace the graphics card.

To set up a specific app or game, you must first select its type: Desktop App or Microsoft Store App. If you want to customize an app or game that you installed from the Microsoft Store, select «Microsoft Store app». Otherwise, select the Desktop App option. nine0005

If you want to change the video card used in the game, you usually need to select the last option (PC application). Click the button below «Add App» to expand the drop-down list and select a game or app type.

Now click or tap the Browse button. If you chose the desktop app, navigate to your Windows 11 PC and select the app or game executable. After clicking the «Add» button, the application or game is added to the list of applications for which you can specify which video card will be used. nine0005

If you selected the «Microsoft Store App» setting, clicking the «Browse» button opens a new «Select an App» window. Scroll to the app you want to set up, and then click or tap it. This will add the application to the list in the graphics window.

Step 3: Change the graphics card used in a game or application

In the list of managed applications and games in the graphics window, find the application you are interested in, then click or tap it. Now click or tap on its Options button. nine0005

A new dialog called «Graphics Settings» will open. You can see which graphics cards you can use on your computer and which ones save power or provide better graphics performance.

For example, on our laptop we can «let Windows decide» or we can choose between:

    • «Energy Saver» — integrated Intel UHD graphics chip built into the Intel Core i7-10510U processor
    • «High Performance» is a more powerful NVIDIA discrete graphics card inside the laptop.

Select the one you want to use for the selected application and then click Save.

If you want to undo the change, select the game in the list, click Options, select Let Windows decide, and click Save.

Have you forced a game or application to use a dedicated graphics card?

Now you know how to run a game (or app) on a specific graphics card in Windows 11. We’re curious to know if you’ve used this feature to troubleshoot a hardware component or changed the default graphics card for other reasons. Also, do you think this Windows 11 feature is more user-friendly than setting the same options in Nvidia or AMD video drivers? Use the comments below to let us know.
