Denuvo DRM Gets Removed From Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
By

Lately, there have been a string of studios that have removed Denuvo post-release, and now Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order becomes the next to do so.
It’s fair to say that the likes of Denuvo would not be as controversial among the community if it didn’t cause so many performance issues with games. It even goes beyond stuttering with the disliked DRM tech causing games to become unplayable after an outage caused by an expired domain name. Fortunately, it seems that studios are starting to understand this pattern, removing the software post-launch, and now it seems that Remedy Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order becomes the next big title to follow suit.
According to a recent report, the studio behind 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has taken it upon itself to get rid of Denuvo, a move which is almost certainly going to lead to a degree of happiness among the fan base. While the report doesn’t indicate exactly why the controversial DRM software has been removed, many will no doubt assume it’s down to the technology’s propensity for causing frame rate issues in games as the reason.

It remains to be seen how this will affect the Star Wars game’s performance, but, as with many other titles, it has been known to suffer from PC stuttering issues which people blame Denuvo for. No doubt gamers will be able to see if its removal will fix the issue, but it is interesting to note that Shadow of the Tomb Raider allegedly runs smoother now that DRM has been taken out of it.
It’s understandable that big companies would want to protect their releases by ensuring people are unable to pirate games, but it’s easy to see why the community has such a hard time accepting it, given the issues the likes of Denuvo can cause during play. Ubisoft is a big proponent of its uses, but more and more studios are starting to take it out, with the Crysis team removing DRM from the remastered version just a few weeks ago. Again, this is almost certainly due to the stuttering or general performance issues that many gamers are experiencing in titles that insist on having the tech bundled with it.
With the latest Intel CPU also being incompatible with the DRM tech, though a workaround has been published with a more long-term fix in the make, it’s getting harder and harder for studios and publishers to defend Denuvo. With some big games, which now includes Fallen Order, removing it, there seems to be a trend among companies that are seeing that the benefits of removing it are outweighing the necessity of it being there in the first place.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Now here is a pleasant surprise. Electronic Arts and Respawn have just removed the Denuvo anti-tamper tech from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a great third-person action-adventure game. The game came out in 2019, meaning that it took EA and Respawn two years in order to remove Denuvo.
As with all the other games we’ve covered, we can assume that the removal of Denuvo is due to the compatibility issues that this anti-tamper tech currently has with Intel’s latest Alder Lake CPUs.
Still, it’s great witnessing more and more publishers removing Denuvo from their older games. Yesterday, Warner Bros removed Denuvo from Injustice 2.
Last month, Bandai Namco removed Denuvo from Tekken 7 and Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. Similarly, Square Enix and Crytek removed Denuvo from NieR Replicant Remaster and Crysis Remastered, respectively. Additionally, 2K Games has removed Denuvo from Mafia Definitive Edition.
As we’ve reported, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order suffered from some stuttering issues when loading new areas. Thus, it will be interesting to see whether these stutters have been reduced now that Denuvo is no longer present!

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order with Denuvo protection hacked and leaked to the network Games, movies and interesting events
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order |
It has become known that a new game in the Star Wars universe called Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order managed to be hacked three days after its release, despite having the latest Denuvo security system.
The hacker group Codex was responsible for hacking Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (“ Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order ”). Reportedly, a new game from publisher Electronic Arts was hacked just a few days after release. It is worth noting that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was protected by the latest Denuvo protection system, which means that the pirates once again managed to bypass the creators of Denuvo. Moreover, this time it took quite a bit of time. It is possible that the developers from the Respawn Entertainment studio are now thinking about completely removing the Denuvo protection from the game.

Episode III: Revenge of the Sith ”, and the main character here is a young Padawan named Cal Kestis. In the course of playing Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Cal must complete his training. During the journey, the protagonist will be assisted all the time by a droid named BD-1. At the moment, the game has already been posted on torrents.
