Game Releases März 2022: Diese Spiele kommen
Nachdem Januar und Februar 2022 eher ans Vorweihnachtsgeschäft erinnert hatten, verlangsamt sich die Release-Flut von Gaming-Blockbustern im März ein wenig.
Ob Zockerinnen und Zocker weitere 30 Tage ausgehalten hätten, in denen Hersteller gewaltige Werke wie «Pokémon-Legenden: Arceus», «Dying Light 2», «Horizon Forbidden West» und «Elden Ring» veröffentlichen, ist fraglich. Wer hat so viel Zeit zum Zocken? Was hingegen sicher ist: Ihre Geldbeutel hätten Protest eingelegt. Dahingehend gibt es allerdings auch in diesem Monat nur bedingt Nachrichten zu vermelden: Der März 2022 hat zwar nicht ganz so viele große Titel zu bieten, ist für diese Jahreszeit jedoch ebenfalls mit überdurchschnittlich vielen Releases bestückt. Shadow Warrior 3
«Shadow Warrior 3» setzt die Serientradition der Abgedrehtheit fort.
Die Tatsache, dass der Protagonist dieses langjährigen Shooters Lo Wang heißt, gibt Ihnen einen ziemlich guten Eindruck davon, worum es in «Shadow Warrior» geht. Wie seine Vorgänger ist auch der dritte Teil ein Ego-Shooter, bei dem man alle Elemente bis zur Absurdität aufgedreht hat, wobei Mr. Wang dieses Mal einige neue Bewegungsoptionen wie ein Enterhaken und der Wandlauf zur Verfügung stehen. Die Levels sind jetzt wieder linearer, nachdem das vorangegangene Spiel mit größeren Sandbox-Bereichen experimentiert hat. Erwarten Sie also eine Rückkehr zum ursprünglichen Level-Design von 3D Realms – nur vermutlich mit mehr greifbaren Oberflächen, die überall verteilt sind.

Gran Turismo 7
«Gran Turismo 7» (GT7) ist eine gewaltige Rennsimulationsserie mit einer ruhigen staatsmännischen Würde und eine Traum für virtuelle Tuner. GT7 nimmt die Online-Rennkomponente von Polyphonys vorangegangenem Spiel «GT Sport» und bringt sie zurück in die vertraute Erfahrung. Neue oder gebrauchte Autos kaufen und sie in Besitz nehmen, an Meisterschaften gegen die KI teilnehmen und die Gefährte in die Waschanlage oder zum Ölwechsel bringen.

Zu den neuen Funktionen dieses Spiels gehören das Café, in dem Herausforderungen gestellt werden und Fahrzeugdesigner vorbeikommen, um über ihre Kreationen zu sprechen – und der Musik-Rallye-Modus, bei dem man zum nächsten Kontrollpunkt zu einem Beat statt zu einem Timer fährt.

Die Serie von 2K hat 2021 einen Schlag zu viel von den Kritikern einstecken müssen und sich selbst eine Gehirnerschütterung verpasst. Deshalb sind Fans sehr gespannt darauf, was ein Jahr Auszeit für die Prügelserie gebracht hat, die dringend etwas mehr Liebe und Aufmerksamkeit benötigt. Eine neue Gameplay-Engine und ein frisches Steuerungssystem stehen im Vordergrund, während mehrere neue Modi, darunter ein Fraktions-Builder und MyGM, die Fans des Squared Circle zurücklocken sollen – ist dies der Beginn einer neuen Ära oder nur eine weitere Entstehung von McGillicutty?

Um ehrlich zu sein, sehen die Animationen in den Trailern immer noch mickrig aus und die Grafik scheint nicht viel besser zu sein, aber Anhängerinnen und Anhänger des gepflegten Wrestling-Entertainments sollten dem Titel eine faire Chance geben.

GTA 5
Es dürfte unnötig sein, Ihnen an diesem Punkt zu erzählen, was «GTA 5» ist – selbst Ihre Großmutter hat es mittlerweile sicher schon gespielt. Es ist seit 2018 auf dem Radar von Adventure-Fans und jetzt ist das süße kleine «Zelda»-ähnliche Spiel endlich greifbar nah. Mit einem Fuchs in der Rolle, die normalerweise Elfenjungen mit grünen Hüten einnehmen, führt Sie «Tunic» wortlos durch saubere minimale Waldlandschaften, voll von Rätseln über Kämpfe bis hin zu Beutetruhen, und lässt sein Gefühl für den Ort der Stille erfüllen.
Es sieht nach einer meditativen, ästhetisch durchdachten Interpretation des klassischen Nintendo-Retro-RPGs aus.

Die Siedler
Ubisofts «Die Siedler» ist die Fortsetzung einer Reihe von PC-Strategiespielen aus den 90er-Jahren – zumindest nominell. Die neueste Ausgabe durchging vor dem Release einige konzeptionelle Änderungen und hat bei den bisherigen Tests unter Veteranen der Reihe nicht allzu gut abgeschnitten. Fans sind in Sorge, dass das Wirtschaftssystem zu seicht und die Richtung des Spiels zu militaristisch ist, um mit den Klassikern der Reihe mitzuhalten. Außerdem sind viele Spielerinnen und Spieler der Vorschauversion mit dem Fantasy-Setting dieses Reboots nicht warm geworden. Ubisoft hat daher viel Überzeugungsarbeit zu leisten, damit diese Traditionsmarke keinen großen Rückschlag erleidet.

Kirby und das vergessene Land
Kirby betritt zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte der traditionsreichen Serie die 3D-Welt und weckt dabei ein lange schlummerndes inneres Kind in den Fans der Reihe. Auf einer Mission zur Rettung einiger entführter Waddle Dees erkundet der biegsame Rosafarbene ein Land, in dem Natur und von Menschenhand geschaffene Konstruktionen im Kontrast stehen. Er atmet Autos ein, um sie zu verkörpern, oder nutzt Wasser als Waffe, indem er einen ganzen Haufen verschluckt und sich dann in einen Druckschlauch verwandelt – all das mit dem neuen Mouthful-Modus.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
«Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep» war einer der besten Momente der «Borderlands»-Reihe und Gearbox hat es gemerkt. Was als großartiger DLC mit Improvisationscharakter begann – das gesamte Land veränderte sich vor Ihren Augen, während Tina ihre Geschichte im «Dungeons & Dragons»-Stil nach ihren eigenen Vorstellungen anpasste – ist jetzt ein eigenständiges Spiel mit entsprechendem Inhalt.
Es besteht immer noch zu 99 Prozent aus dem Öffnen von Behältern und dem Abschießen einer stetig wachsenden Anzahl von Waffen mit coolen Nummern, aber jetzt in einem Fantasy-Setting.

Ghostwire Tokyo
Mit einer Mischung aus Karate, Exorzismus und Ego-Shooter soll «Ghostwire Tokyo» übernatürlichen Horror anders darstellen, als es das Genre bisher getan hat. Es spielt in einem gespenstischen – und zutiefst heimgesuchten – Tokio, das in Nebel gehüllt ist, und soll die Neugier der Spielerinnen und Spieler belohnen, während sie die Stadt erkunden. Die Geschichten der Charaktere entsprechen den Vierteln, in denen sie gelebt haben – ein härteres Leben auf der härteren Seite der Stadt. Die Entwickler von Tango Gameworks haben sich hier eindeutig eine ganze Reihe übernatürlicher Fantasien ausgedacht. Wohl einer der mutigsten und originellsten Titel des Jahres.

Weird West
Auf dieses Debütwerk freuen sich bereits viele Gamer.
«Weird West» ist das Debütspiel der WolfEye Studios, die ehemalige Arkane-Mitarbeiter leiten. Es ist teils als Simulation, teils als Top-Down-Action-RPG mit Blockbuster-Actionsequenzen konzipiert. Sie bauen eine Truppe von Revolverhelden auf, wie es jeder anständige Wildwest-Gänger tun würde, allerdings in einer düsteren Fantasy-Variante dieser Zeit. Die Entwickler haben es mit einem actionorientierten «Fallout 1» oder «Fallout 2» verglichen. «Weird West» ist zum Release Teil des Xbox Game Pass – und somit für Mitgliederinnen und Mitglieder des Dienstes zugänglich.
