Wir freuen uns, euch heute die monatlichen PlayStation Plus-Spiele für August präsentieren zu können. Vom 2. August bis zum 6. September können Mitglieder von PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra und Premium Yakuza: Like A Dragon, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 und Little Nightmares zu ihrer Spielebibliothek hinzufügen.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon | PS4, PS5
In diesem Action-RPG steigt ihr vom Underdog zum Drachen auf. Ichiban Kasuga, ein unbedeutender Yakuza-Schläger aus einer niederen Yakuza-Familie in Tokio, kehrt in die Gesellschaft zurück, nachdem er 18 Jahre im Gefängnis war – für ein Verbrechen, das er nicht begangen hat. Deckt die Wahrheit hinter dem Verrat seiner Familie auf und erkundet eine moderne japanische Stadt. Die Kämpfe kommen dabei natürlich auch nicht zu kurz! Ihr stellt eine Gruppe mit Menschen zusammen, die von der Gesellschaft ausgestoßen wurden, und verbringt Zeit mit ihnen, wodurch ihr neue Fähigkeiten und Kombos freischaltet. Wenn ihr zwischendurch mal ein bisschen Pause von eurer Mission machen wollt, habt ihr die Wahl aus Go-Kart-Fahren, Arcade-Spielen und 50 Nebengeschichten.

August 16 is Going to Be a Huge Day for PS Plus Subscribers

This coming Tuesday, August 16 marks the next big update for the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium library of games.
The changes Sony has made to its PlayStation Plus service has given subscribers more days to look forward to each month. Prior to the changes, the most exciting days for PS Plus subscribers were usually the last Wednesday of the month and the first Tuesday of the following month, as that’s when the next batch of free games would be revealed and released, respectively. But now the new PlayStation Plus tiers have given fans reason to be excited in the middle of the month as well.
Sony has established a pattern with the new PS Plus tiers. Based on the first couple of updates, it seems PS Plus subscribers can look forward to learning about the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games in the middle of each month, with the titles added shortly thereafter. That’s the case with the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games for August 2022, which were just recently revealed and will be joining the service come Tuesday, August 16.

August 16 is going to be a huge day for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers.
On that day, PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can check out an additional 12 games, including some rather heavy hitters. Here are all the new games coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium on August 16.

- Monopoly Plus
- Trials of Mana

The new PS Plus Extra and Premium games for August 2022 feature a wide range of titles. This includes Bugsnax, a quirky indie game about catching sentient food items and interacting with muppet-like creatures on a tropical island. Bugsnax is notable for being the first-ever free PS5 PS Plus game back when the console first launched in November 2020, but now anyone that missed out on claiming it the first time around can check it out through their PS Plus Extra and Premium subscription.
Bugsnax through PS Plus Extra and Premium won’t be for keeps, but subscribers should still have plenty of time to play through it.
Bugsnax is a relatively family-friendly game with a mostly light-hearted tone, which is the exact opposite of Dead by Daylight, another game set to join the PS Plus Extra and Premium lineup on August 16. Dead by Daylight is an asymmetric multiplayer horror game, where four players act as the survivors and one takes on the role of a serial killer. Developer Behaviour Interactive has dreamed up plenty of its own original characters for the Dead by Daylight roster, though the more attention-grabbing baddies are the killers pulled straight from fan favorite horror franchises like Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream, and more.
Besides quirky collect-a-thon and multiplayer horror games, PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers also have plenty of shooters to look forward to when it comes to the August 2022 lineup.
This includes roguelike space shooter Everspace, as well as open world co-op shooter Ghost Recon Wildlands and single-player FPS action-adventure game Metro Exodus.
Shooter fans should be kept plenty busy by the new PS Plus Extra and Premium additions on August 16, but other genres are well-represented as well. For example, JRPG Trials of Mana is also joining the service on August 16. Trials of Mana is the 2020 remake of the classic SNES JRPG, with it making significant improvements to the graphics and more.
Fans of Japanese-developed games have more than Trials of Mana to look forward to on August 16 — they can also try three games in the critically-acclaimed Yakuza series from Sega. Right now, one of the free PS Plus games for August 2022 in the Essential tier is Yakuza: Like a Dragon, but the PS Plus Extra and Premium additions include Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2.
Yakuza 0 is a prequel game and one of the most critically-acclaimed entries in the series to date, right up there with Like a Dragon. Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2, meanwhile, are remakes of the first two games in the series.
Those who come away impressed by the Yakuza games and want to play the rest of the games in the series are in luck. It’s been confirmed that the rest of the main series Yakuza games are coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium later this year. Sony stopped short of confirming the specific months the games will be available, but fans will be able to check out Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, Yakuza 5, and Yakuza 6 through their PS Plus Extra and Premium subscriptions at some point before 2022 comes to a close.
On top of all these games, a spattering of digital board games are available for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers to check out as well come August 16, with digital versions of Monopoly Madness, Monopoly Plus, and UNO all set to join the library.

The list of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers for August 2022 was officially revealed a few hours later after leak .
The latter has traditionally been confirmed.
Sony announced that PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users will be able to get three games next month with a subscription:
- Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 (PS0, PS4)
- Yakuza: Like a Dragon (PS4, PS5)
- Little Nightmares (PS4)
All of them will be available for download on August 2, 2022 . The giveaway will run until September 5th.
Recall that until August 1, subscribers still have a chance to pick up the July list of games, which includes Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time , Man of Medan and Arcadegeddon .
