Walkthrough

Prince of Persia is a long adventure that takes you throughout the massive confines of the Sultan’s palace. PoP is not broken into chapters or easily divisible sections within the game itself. There are, however, 39 Save Points throughout the 10-hour quest and each Save Point has a name. For the purposes of this walkthrough, we have separated each section by Save Point. The section details everything that takes place from the moment you leave one Save Point until you reach the next. If you want to find out what to do next, look at the name of the Save Point when you load your game and go to that section.

Below is a list of all 40 sections (including the beginning, where there is no Save Point). Look for the name of your current Save Point in the list below and click the corresponding section to jump to the correct page.

Im neusten Teil der Spiele-Legende ‘Prince of Persia’ lässt Ubi Soft mal wieder die Puppen . .. Verzeihung, Prinzen … hüpfen. Auf euch warten spannende Abenteuer und waghalsige Akrobatik-Einlagen, die derzeit sowohl auf PC als auch Konsole Ihresgleichen suchen. Damit ihr alles Versteckte auch findet, eure wilden Sprünge nicht in Abstürze enden und euer Prinzlein kein Sand im Getriebe hat, haben wir eine Komplettlösung für euch.

Allgemeine Tipps

Nahezu alle Aktionen in ‘Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time’ sind von einem perfekten Timing abhängig. Achtet daher bei der PC-Version unbedingt darauf, dass das Spiel flüssig läuft — selbst kleinste Ruckler können in einer wichtigen Situation über Leben oder Tod entscheiden.
Überlegt euch gut, wie ihr das Spiel steuern wollt. Ein gutes GamePad mit Analog-Stick bietet allerlei Vorzüge: Vor allem könnt ihr damit wesentlich gezielter an Wänden entlanglaufen, da die Tastatur nur acht Richtungen kennt.
Lasst euch Zeit! Mit ein wenig Geduld lässt sich bei jeder Fallen-Kombination ein Schwachpunkt ausmachen, an dem ihr unverletzt vorbeischlüpfen könnt. Dank des ‘Sands der Zeit’ und seiner Rückspul-Funktion könnt ihr es auch auf gut Glück versuchen: Neuen Sand findet ihr im Spiel zur Genüge.
Passt in den Visionen auf: An jedem Speicherpunkt stimmt ein kleines Video auf das Kommende ein. Wenn ihr genau aufpasst, könnt ihr hin und wieder die Lösung für ein Rätsel entdecken oder einen Pfad finden, den ihr sonst vielleicht übersehen hättet.
Auch die Kamera ist ein guter Wegweiser: Betretet ihr einen neuen Raum, zeigt sie euch stets euer Ziel und manchmal sogar mehrere Stationen, über die ihr den Ausgang erreichen könnt.
Achtet immer auf geheime Gänge, die häufig hinter zerstörbaren Mauern liegen, welche durch größere Risse erkennbar sind. Einige dieser Gänge führen zu dem magischen Brunnen, an dem ihr eure Energie-Ressourcen erweitern könnt.

Kampf-Tipps: IDie Kämpfe sind mit Abstand der schwierigste Part von ‘Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time’: Ihr könnt vor den Gegnern nicht fliehen, da sie sich teleporieren können. Ihr müsst sie mit eurem Dolch erstechen, um sie endgültig zu besiegen, und dennoch tauchen immer wieder neue auf. Mit folgenden Tipps habt ihr bessere Chancen:

Bleibt ständig in Bewegung: Haben euch erst einmal vier Gegner umzingelt, habt ihr kaum noch eine Chance, euch zu retten. Ab und zu solltet ihr eure Waffen wegstecken, um schneller rennen zu können — mit gezogenen Schwertern tippelt der Prinz nur vor sich hin.
Macht ausgiebig Verwendung von euren Spezial-Kräften: Der ‘Sand der Zeit’ lädt sich immer wieder neu auf, wenn ihr einen Gegner tötet, also könnt ihr ruhig auch für jeden Gegner eine der besonderen Mächte benutzen. Besonders sinnvoll ist natürlich die Zeitlupe, da ihr euren Kontrahenten so um Längen besser ausweichen könnt.
Vergesst nicht, dass ihr mit euren Schwertern auch Angriffe abblocken könnt — solange eure Gegner nicht gerade mit einem äußerst flachen Schlag auf eure Beine abzielen, könnt ihr euch mit der Block-Funktion vor einem Großteil der Attacken schützen.
Verwendet auch Spezial-Bewegungen: Wenn ihr über einen Gegner springt und ihn von hinten attackiert, benötigt ihr weniger Angriffe, als wenn ihr es nur von vorne versucht, da auch die Gegner in der Lage sind mit ihren Waffen eure Schläge abzublocken.
Beschützt Farah: Die Prinzessin ist zwar hin und wieder eine gute Hilfe, allerdings selbst sehr schwach. Wenn ein Widersacher auf sie losgeht, solltet ihr dessen Angriffe sofort unterbinden — sonst ist das Spiel schnell vorbei.

Prologue

There was once a harsh country in the world that did not recognize anyone’s power. Few of those who got there remained alive, those who managed to do so, by the power of their sharp swords and mighty will, built an empire. nine0003

This country was Persia.

At the end of the sixth century, the Persian Empire stretched for thousands of miles, from the shores of the Mediterranean to the Chinese steppes. Its warriors knew how to fight, and its rulers knew how to win. But the main support of the state was the princes — young men who were to become great rulers.

One of these young men was called Sharaman. He was the crown prince, and it was to him that the throne of his father was to pass.

Prince Sharaman knew about his destiny and persistently practiced the sciences necessary for the king. He was taught by the best sages of Persia, trained by the bravest soldiers. He cleansed the soul with reflections and prayers in the Highest Temple and tempered courage on the hunt in the wild desert that stretched beyond the walls of the capital city of Nazaf. He understood that sooner or later all these skills would serve him in good stead. He did not know, could not foresee only one thing: that one day a day would come that would change the whole course of his life. nine0003

That day Sharaman was chasing a wild deer. Fascinated by hunting, he did not notice that a lioness was hunting him. Sharaman heard her menacing growl too late.

The lioness rushed at him with a huge leap and would have killed him on the spot, if not for the courage of the prince’s younger brother, Nizam. He stood in the way of the monster and pierced it with a mighty blow of the spear.

Nizam acted selflessly. If he had not saved his brother, he himself would have inherited the crown instead of him. And one day he would become the ruler of a huge empire. nine0003

When the time came, Sharaman took the throne, which belonged to him by birthright, and made the Nizam his chief vizier. He completely trusted the advice of his younger brother. Forever bound by that heroic deed, the young king and his brother fought side by side, conquering more and more lands.

The glory and wealth of the king grew, and so did his family. He had two sons, Tas and Garsiv, and his father rejoiced looking at them. But the story of the family did not end there…

Chapter One

The stench of rotting garbage hung in the air. She walked from a huge garbage dump on the outskirts of Nazaf. Garbage from all over the city was brought here. Beggar homeless children snooped around here in search of leftovers.

One of these children was Dastan.

His brown eyes vigilantly scanned the piles of rubbish and finally spotted a half-rotten piece of meat. Flies swarmed around him, but Dastan had not even had such food for a long time. He, like a kite, rushed at the meat and snatched it out from under the noses of the other three boys. A fight ensued. nine0003

They calmed down only when they heard the cry of a neighbor shopkeeper:

— Hey messenger!

In the blink of an eye, Dastan and the other boys ran up to the shopkeeper. The fat man held a package in his hands and was ready to pay the one who would deliver the package to the right address. The shopkeeper eyed the zealous helpers suspiciously.

— You seem to be the fastest among these tomboys? he finally turned to Dastan.

He nodded confidently:

— Yes, if you pay in advance. nine0003

Since he wants the quickest one, let him pay. So Dastan argued.

The shopkeeper gave him an appraising look and made up his mind. He handed Dastan a bundle and a coin.

Dastan rushed headlong through the city of Nazafu. More precisely, he rushed over the city of Nazaf. The boy did not push through the crowded streets, but climbed onto the roof and rushed without encountering obstacles, easily jumping from one house to another.

That’s why Dastan was much more agile than his comrades. nine0003

He delivered a package to a small shop. There was a big pile of apples in the corner. They were clean and ripe, not like the scraps he found in the landfill. Dastan tossed a coin to the shopkeeper and took the apple. His mouth involuntarily filled with saliva. But before he could take a bite, there was a noise outside.

Dastan went out into the street, flooded with bright sun. A troop of Persian soldiers in gleaming armor marched across the market square. The spectacle was impressive. The boy especially liked the captain, who rode next to the soldiers on a huge horse. nine0003

On the way, a boy named Yusef was playing with his brother. Unaware of the danger, he jumped out onto the road right in front of the captain. The horse reared up and threw the rider onto the dusty pavement.

The captain got up. His immaculate uniform was covered in mud. The officer in a rage grabbed Yusef and began to beat him. Suddenly, an imperious call was heard from the crowd:

— Come on, stop it!

The captain turned around in surprise. Before him stood… Dastan.

And this boy dares to order him? The captain laughed and gave Yusef another slap in the face. nine0003

Without thinking twice, Dastan threw his apple at the captain and hit him right between the eyes. This time, the officer was not amused. He brought down all his anger on Dastan:

— Oh, you dirty ragamuffin!

— Dirty, dirty, but not in horse manure, — Dastan retorted.

The crowd burst out laughing, and the captain got even angrier. He rushed at Dastan.

— Run! the boy shouted to Yousef.

The guys took to their heels. Dastan helped Yusef to climb onto the roof of a shop, and then they rushed along the usual way for Dastan — over the roofs. And below, along the streets, soldiers were chasing them. The guys were already rejoicing at the victory, when suddenly Yusef slipped on the tiles. But he did not have time to fall — someone’s strong hand caught him on the fly. Yusef looked up and saw: Dastan was holding his belt with one hand, and clinging to the gutter with the other. Both of them hung directly above the pavement. nine0003

Gathering all his strength, Dastan threw Yusef onto the roof with a mighty jerk. But the gutter gave way from this, and the boy flew to the ground.

He jumped up and started to run, but it was too late. Soldiers surrounded him on all sides. There was no salvation.

The captain grabbed the boy and dragged him to the middle of the market square. He kicked and yelled, but could not escape.

— See how the king punishes those who do not show respect for his army! the captain shouted.

Two soldiers threw Dastan to the ground and pinned his arm against a broken gutter.
