Bought this remote and after 2 weeks the drift was so bad i could not even play. Brought it to gamestop and they wouldn’t allow a return, exchange, store credit, or even a turn in for less amount. They put air in it which worked for like 1 day until the remote started drifting again. Both analog sticks don’t work now. piece of crap, gonna have to throw it out now, such a waste of money.

The controller over look is nice works good has a long charging cord, which is nice the only things I do not like about this controller it doesn’t not do amiibo which is beyond sad for the fact it’s a animal crossing controller and I’ve had it about a week and the analog sticks are turning black from use they are no longer green it did have a little issue with dragging but I recontacted it and it was fix over all I do love the controller just wish it did amiibo’s.

Controller was stuck with the right directional button pressed so game characters were only turning right and the menu would scroll to the right with only being able to stop cursor no ability to go left.

It is usually hard for third-party controllers to stack up to the originals, but we love the extra aesthetics on the PowerA’s. We do want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase however, so we’re sending you a direct email to see how we can help!

Elsewhere, you’ll probably want to know what your options are for getting a cheap Nintendo Switch controller if you want a more traditional Pro Controller to play Animal Crossing, not to mention raid retailers for some of the best Nintendo Switch accessories. published

You just bought Animal Crossing: New Horizons and can’t wait to play local multiplayer with two to four other players using one Nintendo Switch console. Unfortunately, the process for setting up a game in couch mode isn’t immediately obvious. Here’s how to do it.

summary

Understand the three types

New Horizons Multiplayer Modes

New Horizons’ The multiplayer options can be confusing as there are three different ways to do it and not all of them are unlocked at the start of the game. They are all co-op (or «co-op» for short), which means you play together. not against each other:

  • Co-op game on the couch (group game): Up to four people in the same room play on the switch with two or four controllers (which are covered in this guide).
  • Local Wireless Collaboration : Up to eight people play in the same room, each with their own switch.
  • Online Collaboration : Up to eight people play online via Nintendo Online, each with their own Switch.

How to chat with friends Animal Crossing: New Horizons covers the local multi-tenant wireless network and Internet capabilities that use Dodo Airlines. Here we are going to talk about how to use the couch in co-op (group play) with multiple players on the same Switch console.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Co-op co-op requirements (group play)

If you want to play New Horizons’ Local multiplayer (co-op co-op) with one Switch console, you will play a game mode called » party play. Here is an overview of what you need:

  • Replica Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
  • Two to four controllers (single Joy-Cons — NORMAL).
  • Local user account for each player on the Switch.
  • Each player must start New Horizons with their Switch account and set up a tent.

Let’s look at some of these details.

Create switchable user accounts for each player

Create animal crossing profiles for each player

Next, you’ll need an Animal Crossing player (islander) for each person who wants to play on the couch. If you haven’t created them yet, here’s how.

When you run Animal Crossing: New Horizons (if not already running) the switch will ask you to «select a user».

Select the user you want to use to create the Animal Crossing player. First player to start in a new copy of New Horizons will be the main resident and will have more control over the island.

Then open your NookPhone with the ZL button and select Call Resident. (Call Resident does not appear on your NookPhone until two or more players have set up their tents on the island.)

The game will ask which islanders you want to play with. Highlight the ones you want, then select Confirm. A pop-up message will tell you that you need a certain number of controllers to play.

Within 30 seconds, activate the controllers for the desired characters one by one. You can use individual Joy-Cons, Pro controllers, or third-party Switch controllers.

After that, the Party game will start.

How Couch Co-Op (Party Play) Works

Each Party Play session has a leader and one or more followers. The leader can play New Horizons as usual when subscribers are limited in their abilities: they cannot chat, use the NookPhone or access their inventory. But they can use tools and move furniture. Any items they pick up or creatures they capture will be sent to the recycling box in Tom Nook’s support tent/building.

To change leaders during a game session, the leader can shake his controller. Other players will have the option to press a button on their controller to gain leader status. You can also switch leaders from the menu by pressing the Plus (+) or Minus (-) button on the controller, or from the Call Resident app on the NookPhone.

How to exit couch co-op mode (group game)

To end local co-op, the leader must press the Plus (+) or Minus (-) button — depending on the controller configuration — then select «End Session» from the menu list.
