Must have wow addons: Best Add-Ons for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight

Best Add-Ons for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight

As we prepare for the launch of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, it’s important to have a list of handy add-ons at your side.

Despite Blizzard revamping the UI customization with Dragonflight, there will still be add-ons that make your experience in the Dragon Isles that much better. We already discussed the best Wrath of the Lich King add-ons for Classic WoW. Today, we’ll do the same for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. These add-ons will do more than what the UI improvements are capable of. They’ll be able to provide the playing the following:

  • More control over how your user interface looks.
  • Displaying vital information that’s paramount to success.
  • Optimizing the questing and leveling experience.
  • Making your Auction House experience more efficient.
  • Fixing any personal issues that others might deem trivial or minute.

If you need anything, there’s an add-on available to solve all your problems. Here are some of the best add-ons you can use as Dragonflight approaches.

1. Weak Auras

This is the most important World of Warcraft add-on period.

Weak Auras can provide players with a wealth of information and knowledge. If you’re wanting call-outs for boss mechanics? There’s a Weak Aura for that. Wanting to make sure that you have on the correct gear? There’s a Weak Aura for that. Wishing you could easily track debuff timers? You guessed it; there’s a Weak Aura for that.

No other Dragonflight add-on comes close to the power of Weak Auras. Whether you’re importing UI interfaces for your class and spec, setting up boss notifications, or just making sure you’re not an idiot and ensuring you’re properly buffed, Weak Auras is there for you.

2. Shadowed Unit Frames

My UI add-on of choice, Shadowed Unit Frames, delivers a clean and informative look for player information. Whether it’s your own player bar, your target, or the rest of the party, Shadowed Unit Frames will get the job done.

Despite the upcoming UI changes in Dragonflight, there are still players like me looking for some more bang for their buck. Shadowed Unit Frames delivers that. It offers an impressive amount of customization to tinker and help design the UI of your dreams.

3. Details

It may not offer the same depth as a full Warcraft Log, but Details still provides vital in-game information. Between damage meters, threat meters, healing output, interrupt counts, and more, Details offers a treasure trove of data in its small package.

Be honest; sometimes you just want to see if you’re topping the damage meters. Don’t worry, it still does that.

4. Angry Keystones

If you’re running Mythic keys, this is the add-on for you.

Angry Keystones provides all the essential data to track your current Mythic Plus run. From chest timers, death trackers, to progress bars, everything you need is available on your screen. There’s no more guessing about how close you are to being successful. No more estimating how many more enemies you need to pull. Angry Keystones sets up your Mythic keys for success.

It’s a night and day difference between doing your keys with and without Angry Keystones. I highly recommend installing it as one of the best Dragonflight add-ons available.

5. Leatrix Plus

The best World of Warcraft for anything and everything quality of life improvements, Leatrix Plus does far more than you realize.

From quest automation and auto-repairs to blocking annoying social requests, there’s a lot to love with Leatrix Plus. To be perfectly honest, if you’re looking to tweak your UI, update your in-game preferences, or make your World of Warcraft experience easier, there’s a good chance that Leatrix Plus has the answer.

6. Simulationcraft

This is what you will copy into the Raidbots Quick Sim website.

There’s a common phrase in World of Warcraft. When someone asks whether or not an item is an upgrade, the answer is always, «sim it!»

The Simulationcraft add-on works alongside Raidbots to analyze your gear and determine if it’s an upgrade or not. There’s not much else going on here. Simply type in «simc,» copy the code that’s brought up, paste it into the Raidbot Simulation, and run it. You’ll then figure out whether that shiny new epic that just dropped is actually worth it or not.

With the nature of modern World of Warcraft and Dragonflight, there isn’t the same definitive best in slot list as there is in Classic. That’s where Simulationcraft comes in handy. It removes the difficult guesswork when it comes to figuring out upgrades.

7. Threat Plates / Plater

I’m double dipping here when it comes to important World of Warcraft: Dragonflight add-ons. Threat Plates and Plater do the same thing: optimize the bar that rests above a character.

It’s not just about finding out what their health is. These World of Warcraft add-ons display vital information. Debuff timers and indicators are vital to have an idea of which character is inflicted with particular spells.

I was someone who wasn’t sold on these add-ons before using them. They made me a believer; it’s a night and day difference with them and the information they provide is so vital to your performance in World of Warcraft.

8. Deadly Boss Mods

I mentioned earlier how Weak Auras can provide vital information for boss encounters. While it’s for sure helpful, it doesn’t quite compare to Deadly Boss Mods.

The default boss encounter mod for virtually all of World of Warcraft, DBM offers everything you need for timers for boss abilities and announcements. You’ll always be prepared for important mechanics thanks to these timers, allowing players to always be prepared to deal with boss abilities.

One of the most underrated parts about DBM is how it helps players communicate in-game. Whenever you’re targeted with specific abilities, your character will shout if they’re targeted with something important, if players need to stack on them or run away.

9. TradeSkillMaster

If you care even just a little about making gold, TradeSkillMaster is the World of Warcraft add-on for you.

It’s true that the game’s default auction house has been vastly improved, but TSM still offers a lot of power to increase your gold-making efforts. From setting up specific searches for crafting professions, utilizing TSM’s in-depth features to help buy items at their lowest prices and sell them for profits, as well as a clean and robust profession UI, TradeSkillMaster is something I still refuse to leave home without.

10. All The Things

There’s a lot to see and do in World of Warcraft. It’s not just about raiding, PVP, or Mythic Plus content. There are achievements, quests, pet battles, mounts, collectibles, and more.

All The Things is the perfect Dragonflight add-on for any World of Warcraft completionist. There’s a lot to see, do, track, and collect throughout the nearly two-decade history of World of Warcraft. All The Things helps make that process far easier and more accessible.

Here’s everything you need to know about our picks for the best — and most essential — addons you need to be downloading in World of Warcraft Dragonflight.

The Addon Client

WowUp

WowUp is essential to get the best out of your addon experience.

Before you start downloading WoW’s best addons, you’ll need a great addon manager. Of course, you’re able to install these yourself through various sites, but a client takes out all of the hard work and allows you to get right to business.

Our personal recommendation is to use either CurseForge or WowUp, with both allowing you to conveniently download, install, search for, and update available addons right from the respective apps,

5.

Bagnon

Activision-Blizzard

Bagnon is a lifesaver for those who like a tidy inventory space.

[Download]

One of the most essential tools that can often be underlooked in WoW is Bagnon. It provides a streamlined and easy way to organize all of your items within bags.

Bagnon supports many different storage facilities including the inventory, bank, void storage, and guild bank. They’re viewable at any time, from anywhere, and on any character, too. This is handy for those of you who like to have more than one character on the go.

With a handy highlight to indicate items in a particular bag slot, along with cleanup capabilities, and a search engine tool, this addon is something everyone has a use for.

4. Details! Damage Meter

Activision-Blizzard

Details is essential in tracking, and upping your damage game.

[Download]

Details! provide WoW players with everything from battle information, including damage dealt, healing information, and more.

It’s also a fantastic way of pushing yourself to do better in a fight and further finesse your skill and rotation, as you can consistently see how much damage you’re doing. In dungeons and raids, this is even more helpful, as you’re able to see where you sit on that DPS scale against other players in your team.

Details! is also great for guild ranking, as you’re able to “store the damage and heal from guild runs”, and you’re also able to “build lists of top DPS on each boss”.

3. Bartender4

Activision-Blizzard

Bartender 4 makes it easy to organize and hotkey your bars and abilities.

Bartender4 is a complete overhaul to the hotbar display in WoW. This provides the ability to completely customize every aspect of your action-related toolbar, and it’s a must-have for creating exactly what you need for each character you play.

Featuring support for 13 action bars in Dragonflight, the stance bar, pet bar, bag bar, micro menu, and your XP/reputation bars, you’re able to modify everything you want. However, the best thing about this addon is that it gives you the ability to modify the size and transparency of bars, and there’s also an incredibly simple hotkey binding tool that is very useful.

2. Hekili

Activision-Blizzard

Hekili is really useful for teaching you your rotation in differing environments.

[Download]

Our personal favorite, Hekili is a fantastic addon for new or returning players to WoW. Providing real-time indicators of what skill to use next in a fight, it aids with learning your rotation of skills. Writing on the addon’s download page, the creator of it explained that “it works by collecting information about the game’s current state, using a SimulationCraft-like action priority list (APL) to recommend the next ability to use.”

Over time it’ll probably become something you use less and less, but for those who are unfamiliar with, or relearning a class, it’s something that is only going to make you a better player in the end.

1. DBM (Deadly Boss Mods)

Activision-Blizzard

DBM takes the need to micromanage battles away from you, allowing you to focus on what you can do at that moment.

[Download]

DBM takes so much pressure off the micromanaging of everything about battles during raids and dungeons. At times, these conflicts can be hectic experiences, but this addon allows you to focus primarily on your performance and rotation.

With sound effects, special effects, different colors, and on-screen warnings, it indicates when something is going to happen to you. New and old players alike will both benefit greatly from this, and that is why it is number one on this list.

It also hides things from you that you’re unable to do anything about in that moment or situation, such as dispel and interrupt cooldowns. This way, you’re only actively focusing on what can be achieved at that particular moment.

So, there you have it — that’s everything you need to know about the 5 best addons to download in WoW Dragonflight in 2022.

OPie, ElvUI, Bartender4 and others

Do you live and breathe World of Warcraft? Then, dear reader, you should know that with the help of «addons» you can not only personalize, but also greatly improve the experience of this popular multiplayer game.

WoW’s user interface hasn’t changed much in the last 15 years — complaints about this can be found all over the Internet. Fortunately, you can easily modify the interface, and not only its appearance, but also its functionality. Starting from the automatic sale of «garbage» from the inventory and ending with overlay buttons — addons for WoW will satisfy your every desire.

There are countless add-ons for the Blizzard project on the web. Maybe, reader, you really know about WoW addons, but do you know how to install them and which ones are generally worth spending your precious time on? In today’s article, we will tell you about all this.

  • How to install WoW addons?
  • Best WoW Addons for 2021
    • Bartender4
    • Deadly Boss Mods
    • Bagnon

Most of the WoW game base prefers special mod managers or manual installation, thus completely ignoring Overwolf. We recommend doing the same to avoid unnecessary headaches. WowUp is one of the easiest and most intuitive WoW mod managers on the web.

How do I install WoW addons manually? Here everything is also extremely simple: download the desired addon, unpack it (if necessary), and drop the resulting files into the “World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/Addons” folder. True, when installing addons manually, you will need to independently monitor what is in your «Addons» folder.

Also, keep in mind that some WoW add-ons may have regular updates that you have to install yourself. In general, the manual method is not for everyone, especially not for those players who can not stand the spirit of micromanagement. And the latter in World of Warcraft is already enough.

Ok, now let’s move on to the list of the best WoW addons for 2021!

      Best WoW Addons for 2021

      Bartender4

Hotbars are the most outdated part of the user interface in World of Warcraft. By default, hotbars in WoW are extremely small, they don’t display a ton of important information, and there’s almost no way for the player to personalize them. Bartender4 is an addon that gives you full control over all ten hotbars in the game. Position, size and even transparency are all in your control.

If you are just starting to play World of Warcraft, then Bartender4 should certainly be your very first addon. After some time of active play, your hotbars will start to fill up with all sorts of skills — a complete mess. The Bartender4 addon allows you to create convenient overlay buttons that perform certain actions and put them in a position convenient for you on the screen. More advanced users will be delighted with the ability to create custom macros that can change the appearance and functionality of their hotbars literally on the fly.

      Deadly Boss Mods

Another mod that we highly recommend you check out. Deadly Boss Mods turns the challenging boss battles of World of Warcraft into a more fun pastime. With this addon (and its older versions for WoW expansions) you no longer have to remember every move of every boss in the game. During the boss fight, notifications and screen effects will appear in front of you, which, for example, will warn you in advance of a dangerous attack and provide a useful hint. With Deadly Boss Mods, raid and dungeon timers are in sync for you and your party members, helping you better coordinate your team even if someone abruptly disconnects from the game.

However, perhaps the coolest «feature» of Deadly Boss Mods is the automatic messaging feature. Let’s imagine that you are fighting a boss and someone sent you a message. Of course, you cannot answer — Deadly Boss Mods will do it for you! Addon on your behalf will send a short message like «a little busy» or «I’ll answer later, busy.» Very comfortably.

Alternative: Bigwigs. Bigwigs has pretty much the same functionality as Deadly Boss Mods, but it’s less intrusive, so to speak. A great option for those players who don’t like the extremely loud and atmosphere-breaking DBM messages.

      Bagnon

The inventory system in World of Warcraft is something with something. One extensive inventory? Pff! Why give your player one inventory when he can be forced to dig through a bunch of small bags, between which he will constantly get confused? Fortunately, the Bagnon addon fixes the nightmarish vanilla inventory: now you have only one bag, where all your items found during the adventures lie.

But that’s not all! By installing Bagnon, you will be able to view the inventory of not only the selected hero, but also all other characters on your account. In addition, items will now be highlighted in different colors, indicating a particular rarity (green, blue, purple, etc.), which will help to distinguish worthy items from garbage. Plus, do not forget about a convenient search engine and special filters that simplify the search for items in the inventory.

Alternative: Adibags. Adibags are a cross between the standard WoW inventory and Bagnon inventory. This addon automatically sorts the contents of your bag into separate categories. You can also download additional filters for sorting, if necessary.

      Details! Damage Meter

Details! The Damage Meter is a highly detailed graphical DPS meter that shows how much damage you and your party are doing in a handy text log. This addon is almost manna from heaven for players with DPS characters. Among other things, you will also be pleased with the additional functionality of Details! Damage Meter, such as viewing the talents and item levels of the characters in your party.

Alternative: Skada. Skada does not show its player the same amount of information as Details! Damage Meter, but this addon will be enough if you just want to keep track of the damage you deal and take.

      WeakAuras 2

Do you already have a headache from all these numbers and scales on the screen? WeakAuras 2 is an addon framework that displays buffs, debuffs and other status effects in the form of convenient graphical elements that can be personalized according to your preferences. It’s worth noting that WeakAuras 2’s functionality is so rich that you may need to check out a couple of YouTube video tutorials. However, if you do not want to bother with customizing the addon, you can use pre-created templates.

      MoveAnything

MoveAnything is a powerful tool that allows the player to change any element of the user interface: various gauges, quest list, portrait positions, mini-maps and much more. Don’t like the standard World of Warcraft interface? Then MoveAnything is your choice.

      ElvUI

ElvUI is the most popular WoW addon. ElvUI replaces every standard user interface element with a more stylish, user-friendly and functional equivalent. True, with this addon, you can forget about the fantasy-style interface for obvious reasons. Previously, players had to manually update ElvUI, but today it can be done automatically by enlisting the help of certain modifications. One of the nice features of ElvUI is that you can customize your interface right during the game, ie. results will be visible immediately. It is worth noting right away that if you want to use other WoW addons, then ElvUI must be installed first, otherwise there will be conflicts between addons.

      World Quest Tracker

World Quests a.k.a. Daily dailies were first added to World of Warcraft in the Legion expansion. It’s a great system that unfortunately suffers from an extremely outdated map interface. The good news is that all of this can be fixed with the World Quest Tracker addon. Zooming the map out as far as possible, World Quest Tracker will show you the world quest rewards for each region, which is very handy if you are looking for a specific reward. Next, you just need to click on the reward icon to move to the corresponding world task in the general list. Very convenient and saves a lot of time. The World Quest Tracker also features a stats screen that displays completed world quests, cumulative rewards, and more.

      Azeroth Auto Pilot

After leveling your first character to level 60 in the Shadowlands, you probably won’t want to repeat the whole process with all your other characters. Introducing Azeroth Auto Pilot, a special add-on that automates dozens of small game mechanics, which greatly simplifies and speeds up leveling a new character to the maximum level. By installing Azeroth Auto Pilot, you just have to walk where the arrow points on the screen — the mod will talk to NPCs, interact with objects, and more. WoW on autopilot!

      GatherMate2

GatherMate2 is a great addon if you have resource gathering professions and plan to farm or auction resources. Whenever you pick up a plant or mine an ore, the location of that resource will be marked on your map (and mini-map). Actually, this is all that this addon does — an invaluable help for farmers.

      OPie

OPie is an extremely simple but effective addon. OPie creates a circular context menu that allows the player to easily use any skill from the hotbars with the mouse. Such an addon will be primarily useful for players who want to slightly unload their hotbars from skills that they do not use on a regular basis. We can say that OPie creates another additional hotbar, but only for your rodent.

      Games #World of Warcraft

Several ways to hammer nails with a microscope, or how to control add-ons in the browser using DLP and DCAP / Sudo Null IT News In connection with the well-known events and the increased threat of attacks, Russian users were advised to refuse, or at least minimize the installation of plug-ins in browsers.

For example, the NCCKI spoke about the dangers of the «picture in picture» add-on: according to the department, massive cyber attacks on Russian information systems pass through this extension. And if some add-ons break through backdoors for hackers, then others do a good job on their own: they read passwords and logins, payment data, metadata from the device — in a word, they spy — or even carry malicious code that includes the device in a botnet or infects with ransomware and other malware.

Joking aside, the NCCCA warning is at least not superfluous. Another question is that the problem of this «elephant in the room» was on the agenda long before the turbulence in geopolitics. For example, the year before last, researchers found the largest spyware campaign in Google Chrome. Users downloaded malware along with various browser extensions, totaling more than 32 million downloads.

By the way, in the same 2020, I was also asked about the ability to control browser extensions at one of the spring webinars. Then the answer turned into «madman’s notes» describing several methods. And now, like the cat from the “It’s time” meme looking at the clock, it’s time to share the best practices. I hope they will be useful to you.

      Why control browser addons?

Addons/Plugins/Add-ons/Extensions are small programs that extend the standard features of the browser. For example, there are plugins that allow you to download music from social networks. Like app stores for smartphones, browsers also have their own «stores». And, as is the case with the App Store and Google Play, the «parent» company does not guarantee the safety of applications. You can also first make a “good” addition, and then, when the audience is recruited, add bad functionality. After all, often users do not change the default settings and agree to automatic updates.

There are other scenarios. One way or another, a «bad» add-on can pose a real threat to the company’s security, because today you can build almost all the work of an office employee through a browser. Therefore, a full-time security manager should care what add-ons users install.

      How to do it?

The task of controlling addons can be divided into two subtasks: working with those who already have them installed; work to prevent installation. Let’s start in order.

So, first you need to identify users who already have addons. Then, ideally, find out what these add-ons are, how useful and necessary they are. After that, all bad / unnecessary block or delete.

I chose to handle my tasks with DLP and DCAP because they were right at hand. It is possible that there are separate tools for this particular problem, but I was too lazy to figure it out and in general the reasons for my choice are rather explained by “a horse in a bath with cucumbers.jpg”.

We identify those who have add-ons installed

The methods below were ranked by convenience, automation capabilities and completeness of the information received from “just for lulz” to normal working ones. The test browser will be Mozilla Firefox. For the experiment, he was armed with the SearchInform KIB DLP system.

      Option 1

When installing add-ons in the Russian version of Firefox, the CIB interception (ProgramController module) in the window title will contain the inscription: «* — Mozilla Firefox». We can search as follows:

Select «ProgramController» as the data source. In the channel attributes, select «Title». We write «Mozilla Firefox» as the value. With such a search, you should pay attention to those results in the issuance in which the process / site is indicated as “strange”. In the screenshot, the last three lines are the installation of a new extension.

      Pros:

      • Not noticed.

      Cons:

      • No automation. Search by hand.

      • Look for «suspicious» lines with your eyes.

      • At the output, we can only draw conclusions about the presence of the addon. What kind of addon, I can not understand.

      • The method works only if the DLP system agent was already installed on the user’s machine at the time the extension was installed.

Conclusion: The usefulness of the method is doubtful. Just for lulz.

      Option 2

Using the Keylogger module. Suitable when looking for a specific addon. Let’s say we’re looking for who installed the «Easyload» extension. The screenshot shows the request and the result:

Keylogger selected as data source. As an algorithm — «Phrase search». If the addon name consists of several words, you will need to additionally use the phrase search options.

      Pros:

      Cons:

      • No automation. Search by hand.

      • The method does not work if the add-on was installed before the DLP system agent was installed.

      • We can skip part of the incidents if the user is «krivoruk». For example, he wrote “eaylosd”, then realized that he had missed a letter, returned (whether with a mouse or with a cursor), corrected it to “easylosd”, realized that he had not corrected it, returned, corrected it to “easyload”.

Conclusion: the method works, but only for a specific task and with a number of limitations.

      Option 3

Select the data source «ProgramController». In the «Site» attribute field, enter «about:addons» or «addons.mozilla.org». In the first case, we will learn about all the cases when the user visited the add-ons page in the browser.

In the second — when the user searched for or installed any add-ons.

Knowing the time when the action was taken, you can use the «Go to Modules» button to go to the MonitorController to see the endpoint screen. Thus, it will be possible to understand what exactly the employee did:

If MonitorController recorded a video, it will be even clearer (fortunately, such a video weighs a little, about 150 MB for an 8-hour day).

      Pros:

      Cons:

      • No automation. Search by hand.

      • MonitorController should record video. Otherwise, you need to configure the module in advance to take screenshots on an event (visiting the page about:addons or addons.mozilla.com).

      • The method works if the user does something on the specified pages. If the add-ons are already installed and enabled, we will not see the necessary data in the interception.

Conclusion: the method is relatively working, but does not take into account a number of important nuances.

      Option 4

If the DLP base supports e-discovery, then this module can be used. The logic is simple: you can set the area and object of interest. That is, a list of computers and a file name (in this case, its extension). As a result, the system will drag all the files over the network and you can see which machines they were on.

      Pros:

      • Finally, robots work hard, not people. Automation.

      • Get a list of computers on which add-ons are installed.

      • We receive information regardless of whether the user interacts with the addon or not.

      Cons:

      • files have «weird» names (see Option 1).

      • Nailing with a microscope. The system will drive traffic over the network, transferring files to DLP. The files will take up storage space. We just don’t really need it. A list on which machines the files were found would suffice. But e-discovery doesn’t work that way.

On this, in principle, the possibilities of only DLP end. The general conclusion is this: you can automate the process only in one case, but it also has some limitations. The rest of the methods involve manual labor.

Option 5. DCAP comes to the rescue.

In physics lessons at school, I often heard the teacher’s instructions that one should carefully read the conditions of the problem and ask questions correctly. They suggest the solution themselves. If we apply this method to our case, we get the following. You need to understand which machines have addons. But what is an addon? For Firefox, this is, simply, a file with the .xpi extension. In addition, usually «if only where» is not lying around, and peacefully lies in the user’s profile at a specific address.

Thus, it turns out that we need a tool that can find a file of a certain extension on the user’s hard drive. Bingo! This is one of the basic tasks for DCAP systems.

In principle, for FileAuditor, a rule from one condition is sufficient: search by the “File name” attribute, where we set “*. xpi” as the name. But you can also specify the search location to the folder where Mozilla components are stored locally.

We get a rule from two conditions:

      1. File extension .xpi

      2. Folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*

two levels below). But we make allowances for the fact that someone could have made several profiles (for example, by reading this comment) — and each profile has its own personalization and its own addons. And we need to find them all. In a «clean» browser, no addons are usually installed. Therefore, there are no .xpi files either.

      Incidentally

Notice that Audit is selected as the action. This is just to get only a list and not to drive files over the network. All files matching the specified conditions will be marked by the system with a special label, by which you can immediately filter the found files in the Analytics Console or AlertCenter.

Shtosh… The system worked and you can see the results. In manual mode, everything is beautiful.

But the watchman gets tired of watching every car. Therefore, it is easier to take AlertCenter and immediately sort by computers.

As a result, I have a list of machines on which addons were found. Perhaps most importantly, the parameters from this list can be passed further. But more on that later.

      Pros:

      • Automation. Yeah baby. Responsible automation of the process, scheduled launch, the ability to transfer results further.

      • We get a list of computers on which add-ons are installed.

      • Get addresses where addons are located.

      • We receive information regardless of whether the user interacts with the addon or not.

      Minuses:

Conclusion: If this method is comparable with the e-discovery approach for the “find” task, then it is a clear victory for the “and neutralize” task. Therefore, in my piggy bank, the solution using DCAP comes first. By the way, about defuse.

      Fixing the problem

There are several options for the development of events:

    • ban some addons, but leave some working;

    • prohibit installing new addons.

Let’s look at the ways. There will be no ranking by efficiency here. Listing only.

    Option 1

The most «frontal» way is to simply delete the .xpi files we found with FileAuditor. Whether manually, or by writing some script to automate the process. Remember this picture?

The method is suitable both for the “severely prohibit and remove” option for all add-ons, and for the option “we will leave the good ones, delete the rest”. In the second case, it will be necessary to find out in advance the names of the files of good addons and modify the script to remove everything except files from the exclusion list.

    Option 2

You can do without scripts, using the FileAuditor itself. You can create a blocking rule that will prevent certain processes from interacting with flagged files.

As you can see, wagon and small cart options. There is no point in reviewing them all. The main options for us are the «Action», the «Objects» tab and the «Labels» tab. The rest is optional embellishment.

If you need to leave something and nail something, then you need to roll back a couple of steps:

    • Find out which addons are good and which are bad. Good ones, I remind you, are known “by name”.

    • Create a new rule in the DCAP system, according to which the system will put a separate label on good addons.

    • Thus, good addons have 2 tags (nominal and common, which was issued purely as an extension), bad ones — 1.

    • We place the rules according to the hierarchy. The system follows the rules from top to bottom, so the rules must go from specific to general.

    Option 3

You can also change access rights. Though manually, though scripts, it is not strongly important.

The files will remain in place «on demand», but the user will not be able to play with them.
