PlayStation 3 is the 7th generation console from Sony. It was released on November 17th, 2006 in North America and March 23rd, 2007 in Europe. PS3 came about a year later than its biggest rival – Xbox 360 from Microsoft – so it didn’t manage to conquer the market as PlayStation 2 had done a couple of years earlier. Also, complicated architecture of the console – based on the Cell CPU which became a pain in the neck for game developers – made it harder to achieve great sales results. PlayStation 3 was succeeded by PlayStation 4 in 2013.

An MMO game designed by NCSoft company, set in a fantasy world and and boasting a complex battle system, based on eastern martial arts. The plot of Blade & Soul is set in an ancient land modeled after Asia, and based on heroes from Korean mythology. The gameplay itself implements basic features of this genre, like exploring various lands, filled with a lot of tasks to complete and enemies to beat.
DC Universe Online

DC Universe Online is an action MMO, set in the worlds and locations of DC Comics comics. In the game we create our own hero and determine whether he belongs to a good or bad faction.
Along with the performance of particular tasks, our character develops and acquires new skills. The game is distinguished by the high interaction of objects. Since October 2011 the game has been free of charge due to the transition to free-to-play model.
Kingdom Under Fire II

Kingdom Under Fire II is set in a fantasy realm called Bersia, where three conflicted factions – Human Alliance (elves and humans), Dark Legion (orcs and ogres) and Encablossa (mutants and monsters) – wage a bloody war against one another. The player takes command of one of the conflicted sides and tries to turn the tide in their favor.

We are taken to a completely new land and play as a member of a team hunting powerful foes and discovering the secrets of the game’s world. Our character (and the whole team) can be created with a provided character creator. If there are no players willing to cooperate with us, we can play by ourselves, with our pawns controlled by AI.
Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward

The first major expansion for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, an MMORPG developed and published by Square Enix. The expansion takes players on a journey to the city-state of Ishgard, where four aristocratic families fight for power. The add-on also allows players to explore various dungeons, floating islands and mysterious mountains beyond the borders of the known world.

Sony Online Entertainment’s experimental blending of social network service with massively multiplayer online role-playing game, FreeRealms, is coming to the Playstation 3 as well as the PC, Sony Computer Entertainment of Europe announced today. FreeRealms joins DC Universe Online and The Agency as the first massively multiplayer online role playing games coming out of a new arrangement between SCEE and SOE. Under the new agreement, SCEE will publish and distribute three MMOs developed by SOE for PS3 throughout the PAL territories.
