Minecraft Dungeons: Multiplayer aktivieren

Der Multiplayer von Minecraft Dungeons setzt im Vergleich zu anderen Dungeon Crawler Hack-and-Slay-Spielen auf Partien mit Freunden. Zocken mit fremden Spielern ist nicht möglich. Unterstützt werden die folgenden Multiplayer-Modi:

  • Lokales Spiel starten: Der lokale Koop-Modus kann mit maximal zwei Spielern gezockt werden. Beide Spieler müssen ein Gamepad verwenden, egal ob Sie auf der Konsole oder dem PC spielen. Sobald der erste Spieler sich im Spiel befindet, muss der zweite den Analogstick links drücken, um beizutreten.
  • Online-Spiel starten: Eine Online-Partie mit bis zu vier Spielern starten Sie über die Hauptmenü-Option «Onlinespiel». Nun können Sie einem Spiel beitreten oder selbst eines als Host starten. Die anderen Spieler müssen sich auf Ihrer Freundesliste befinden, um beitreten zu können. Sie können in bereits laufende Partien einsteigen.
  • Crossplay: Minecraft Dungeons verfügt seit dem Update November 2020 über eine Crossplay-Funktion. Somit steht dem Zusammenspielen über verschiedene Plattformen nichts mehr im Weg.

Multiplayer: Loot für alle

Einer der wichtigsten Aspekte von Minecraft Dungeons ist natürlich das Loot. Nur mit diesem können Sie sich neu ausrüsten, verbessern und die zahlreichen Gefahren überstehen, die auf die Abenteurer warten. Wie das Loot geregelt wird, erfahren Sie durch die folgenden Punkte, denn es unterscheidet sich deutlich vom klassischen Minecraft:

  • Individuelles Loot: Keine Sorge, jedes Gruppenmitglied erhält eigenes Loot nach einem Kampf. Waffen oder Ausrüstung können anderen Spielern nicht weggenommen werden. Lassen Sie sich also ruhig Zeit beim Looten.
  • Gruppen-Loot: Eine Ausnahme vom individuellen Loot sind Gegenstände wie Essen oder Heiltränke. Diese können von jedem Spieler in der Gruppe eingesammelt werden.
  • Verteilen Sie Verbrauchsitems unbedingt abhängig von der Rolle im Team auf. So sollten Nahkämpfer zum Beispiel mehr Heiltränke zur Verfügung haben als Fernkämpfer, die auf eine größere Menge Pfeile setzen sollten.

Teaming up with another player is pretty easy, whether you’re playing with friends online or family members in the same house. There are a few things you need to do first to set up the multiplayer mode, but once you do that, you’ll immediately be exploring the levels with family and friends. nine0005

Minecraft Dungeons Multiplayer

Minecraft Dungeons can be played solo, but is much more fun as you and your friends fight your way through hordes of Creepers and corrupted Illagers. You and up to three other heroes can go on story and secret missions in search of the best loot. nine0005

There are a few key things to keep in mind when playing multiplayer:

  • Dungeons tend to be more difficult when there are multiple people exploring them.
  • Players can use simple commands to communicate with another player.
  • You can reunite with another player using the Ender Pearl. The teleportation process takes a short time after you have selected the target player.
  • You can find monster spawn cubes in the levels. Hit them a few times so they stop throwing monsters. nine0025
  • If an ally falls in battle, you have 30 seconds to revive them or both of you will lose a life. To revive a player, click on it and wait a few seconds.
  • When an ally falls, night falls. Monsters will randomly spawn around the area and approach the fallen ally.
  • When an ally respawns, they will only have weak health. Make sure you use a potion to restore to full health if you are revived.

How to set up Minecraft Dungeons local multiplayer

For those who can play Minecraft Dungeons with friends in the same space, you will need multiple controllers. This is because the PC version does not support multiple keyboard and mouse settings on the same computer. You can have one person using the keyboard and mouse while other players use controllers. nine0005

To set up a local multiplayer game select offline game from the main menu. Here you can have up to three other players to join your game. Everyone will be able to choose their own skins from a limited selection before showing up at the camp.

How to Join Friends in Minecraft Dungeons Online

Most people will most likely connect with friends for an online multiplayer game. This has two advantages over local multiplayer: you will follow your own hero through each level, as you are not limited to (split screen/limited space) and you can use any control setting you want.

You will need to be friends with other players, so make sure you add your friend’s Xbox gamertag before starting the game. Once that’s done, head to Minecraft Dungeons. To set up the online multiplayer game, select online game from the main menu. Here you can see who is online and who is not. Select Start online game to go to the camp. From here, open the Friends tab (by default on the F keyboard). Here you can invite up to three other players to join your game. nine0005

If you have a family sharing account that has a friend’s Xbox accounts linked to it, you can play Minecraft Dungeons on selected devices online. It’s not ideal as we struggled to get it to work with one of our shared accounts, but the second account could play without issue. Microsoft has a guide on how to do this here.

Can I play Minecraft Dungeons using crossplay?

Since Minecraft Dungeons is available for Windows 10, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, it will eventually be possible to play with up to three other players on any combination of these devices. nine0005

Unfortunately, crossplay is not currently available in Minecraft Dungeons , although it appears that this will happen at a later date.

A free update will be released later this year that will enable crossplay so your friends can connect to your game no matter what device they’re playing on.
