Anfang Oktober listete das manager magazin wieder die 500 reichsten Deutschen auf. Das ist alljährliches Ritual, man stützt sich auf Forbes-Daten und konnte jahrelang einen geradezu wuchernden Fortschritt zumindest auf den Konten der Superreichen verkünden. Das Blatt musste in diesem Herbst aber voller Sorge vermerken, dass auch die reichsten Deutschen in den vergangenen Monaten 7,6 Prozent ihres Vermögens eingebüßt hätten. Das könnte beinahe Anlass zur Sorge geben. Die Liste ist sonst ziemlich langweilig.

Der als Freund der Juden posierende Trump verlangt aber dafür Gefolgschaft: Am 15. Der Wahnsinn geht weiter: Der menschenverachtende russische Angriffskrieg gegen die Ukraine dauert schon über acht Monate an, und die ukrainischen Truppen und Milizen antworten mit großer Brutalität.
Unaufhaltsam steigen die Zahlen der Toten und Verletzten, ukrainische Wohnviertel und ganze Ortschaften liegen nach Bombardierungen und Kämpfen in Trümmern, und ein normales Leben ist nirgends im Land mehr möglich. Mit jedem Tag eskaliert die Situation mehr, und die Gefahr eines Atomkriegs wächst.

Chiles neuer Verfassungsentwurf ist im Referendum gescheitert. Dafür die rechte Gegenkampagne und ihre Fehlinformationen verantwortlich zu machen ist bequem, erklärt aber wenig.
Mitverantwortlich ist auch die linke Regierung, von der sich die Menschen im Stich gelassen fühlen. Wirtschaftspolitisch war der progressive Entwurf zudem blass.

Berlin galt immer als No-go-Area für die extreme Rechte. Von gelegentlichen kleineren Achtungserfolgen am Ende der 1980er/Anfang der 1990er Jahre abgesehen, konnten hier weder die Republikaner noch die NPD landen. Beide verschwanden wenige Jahre nach dem Mauerfall nachhaltig im politischen Nirwana der Hauptstadt. Das galt einige Jahre auch für die AfD, bis sie 2016 ausgerechnet in die linken Hochburgen des Ostens massiv einbrechen konnte.
Es gelang 2021 nicht, sie aus den Bezirksverordnetenversammlungen und dem Abgeordnetenhaus rauszuwerfen.

Unter den Unterzeichner*innen befinden sich auch die Automobilkonzerne Ford und Volvo.
Deren Motiv dürfte eher ein Marktvorteil gegenüber der noch länger auf Verbrenner setzenden deutschen Automobilindustrie sein, als das ökologische Gewissen – jedenfalls: Die Industrie ist im Umbruch.

Weniger als ein Prozent. So viel trägt Pakistan, in dem 3,6 Prozent der Weltbevölkerung leben, zu den weltweiten CO2-Emissionen und damit zum menschengemachten Klimawandel bei. Anfang März rollte eine dreimonatige Hitzewelle über die Region, mit Höchsttemperaturen von bis zu 53 Grad.
Ende August wird Pakistan von den stärksten Wasserfluten seit Beginn der Aufzeichnungen heimgesucht. Geschmolzene Gletscher und ununterbrochene Regenfälle lassen Rinnsale zu kilometerbreiten, reißenden Flüssen werden und setzen ein Drittel des Landes unter Wasser. Mehr als 35 Millionen Menschen sind betroffen. Sie verlieren ihre Häuser und ihre Lebensgrundlage. Über 1.500 Menschen sterben. Nun steht eine weitere Katastrophe bevor: In den kommenden Monaten droht Nahrungsmittelknappheit. In überfüllten provisorischen Camps könnten sich Krankheiten wie Malaria, Cholera und Dengue ausbreiten.

The Polytechnic Institute played a huge role in the formation and development of the military industry and the country’s defense capability. The names of the polytechnics A.N. Krylova, M.I. Koshkina, N.N. Polikarpova, O.K. Antonova, N.L. Dukhova, A.A. Blagonravova, S.
N. Solomentseva, D.F. Ustinov and many other scientists, designers, inventors and leaders of the defense industry and the state.
Among the polytechnics are Heroes of Socialist Labor, aircraft designer N.N. Polikarpov and twice Heroes aircraft designers of artillery weapons, Generals I.I. Ivanov and M.Ya. Krupchatnikov. During the Great Patriotic War, for achievements in the creation of new types of artillery weapons, F.F. Petrov, D.F. Ustinov, V.M. Ryabikov.
The merits of polytechnics in the creation of large-caliber naval artillery guns are enormous. This is E.I. Rudyak, D.E. Bril, S.I. Lodkin and B.G. Bochkov, later the designer of the project of machines for launching technological equipment for the Navy and Air Defense Forces, including the S-200 missile system, V. I. Kuznetsov, a future academician and twice Hero of Socialist Labor.

The outstanding Soviet tank designer M.I. Koshkin, who created the T-34 tank, was also a graduate of the Polytechnic Institute.
A group of designers led by T.Ya. Kotina, N.L. Dukhov and F.F. Petrova developed new models of heavy tanks (KB and IS) and their combat equipment. A significant role in organizing the production of these tanks, first at the Kirov plant in Leningrad, and then in Chelyabinsk, was played by graduates of the Polytechnic Institute M.P. Dlugach, M.D. Kozin, M.H. Popov.
Soviet tank T-34 on a defeated enemy 1941. Created by M.I. Koshkin tanks revolutionized the field of tank building. The T-43 tank became a classic example of a medium tank and a recognized masterpiece of tank building, and the high invulnerability of the T-34 was achieved due to the advantageous arrangement of armor plates.
In the T-34, for the first time in world practice, wide tracks were used and a diesel engine was installed, which differs from gasoline in less fire hazard and reduced fuel consumption. The manufacturability of the tank was brought to a level not achieved at that time in any other similar machine. The T-34 harmoniously combined the maximum possible indicators of fire power, protection and mobility, which made it a role model. The first serial T-34 rolled off the assembly line in June 1940 g.
