Metal gear solid 1 remake ps4: Metal Gear Solid Remake Exclusively in Development for PS5

Metal Gear Solid Remake: Game Reportedly in Development

Metal Gear Solid was originally released for PlayStation One in 1998, and now a leak has revealed that the Remake for the game may already be in development.

Although not the first game in the Metal Gear series, Solid would become the entry point for many fans of the franchise, and it looks as though gamers from newer generations will now be able to enjoy the espionage action.

Whilst the leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, they appear to be from an insider with information on the (hopefully) upcoming game.

Here’s everything you need to know about the recent leaks regarding Metal Gear Solid Remake and what may be coming.

A user on the r/GamingLeaksandRumours subreddit, u/FJaeger58041, made claims on the forum that they had inside information on the Remake.

They wrote: “Not much I can say without someone at risk, nor do I have online credibility. Posting on a throwaway account.

“Bluepoint was originally at the helm but is now handed off to another support studio. Sony wants this to be the next ‘benchmark’ for VR games across all platforms. Can be played fully without VR as a stand-alone remake. One of the first examples of a ‘AAA title that can be experienced in both VR and non-VR’ that PlayStation wants to accomplish.”

The ‘leaker’ also revealed the following with regards to what players can apparently expect when it comes to features in the Metal Gear Solid Remake:

  • “Fully interactable environments to ground the player in MGS.
  • Adaptive triggers and haptic feedback will be utilized to an extreme amount. Almost every item and set-piece in the game is crafted around it.
  • “Inventory system follows suit to the original game, raising your left wrist for things like medicine, cigarettes, etc, and your right wrist for weaponry.
  • “Things like Night Vision, Thermal Goggles, Gas Mask, and Cardboard Box will be accurately represented VR.
  • “Psycho Mantis fight is slightly revamped for a VR experience. Almost identical in non-VR, but the controller port switch is scrapped. I do not know if it’ll be the statue solution by default or if something new is planned.
  • “Q2 2022 reveal alongside PSVR 2. Q4 2022 release as a launch title.

“Again to be transparent there’s no reason to believe anything here, but I’ve been told direct details from someone who is very close to the project. From what I’ve heard it sounds like a new leap/standard for VR.”

If the leaks turn out to be true, it will be interesting to see how Sony manages to produce a VR version of the much-loved game. We’ll have to wait and see if the story progresses with any further leaks in the coming months.

Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3 Remasters Are in Development – Rumour

  • News, Rumors

The remasters will allegedly be purchasable separately and individually, and are said to be launching for PC and consoles.

For some time now, reports and leaks have insisted that after having been out of the games industry as a developer of AAA experiences for years, Konami is planning on making a comeback, with multiple revivals of beloved franchises allegedly being in the works. Naturally, Metal Gear Solid is a name that has come up often, and another recent leak has once again brought the spotlight to the stealth franchise.

Konami recently revealed its plans for the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2022, which include the announcement of a new game in a “world-loved series”. Naturally, the assumption that many first jumped to was that the company will be announcing one of those aforementioned franchise revivals, one of which is allegedly a Metal Gear Solid 3 remake.

However, according to leaker Dusk Golem over on ResetEra, Konami’s TGS 2022 announcement is going to be for remasters of Metal Gear Solid 1, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Metal Gear Solid 3. It’s claimed that the remasters are headed to all platforms (PC and consoles), and will be purchasable separately. Those who purchase them together, however, will allegedly also get the original Metal Gear 1 and for free.

Meanwhile, in its own report, VGC has also claimed that Konami is unlikely to unveil any of its bigger projects at TGS 2022, and is likely saving those announcement for more global events later on in the year.

In November of last year, Konami announced that Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 were being temporarily delisted from platforms as it worked on “renewing the licenses for select historical archive footage used in-game.” Earlier this year, the company said it is preparing to resume sales of the delisted titles, but hasn’t provided further updates since then.

At the moment, unverified information has appeared on the network about the reworking of the stealth action Metal Gear Solid under PC and PlayStation 5 . This was reported by a large tech channel RedGamingTech, which in the past was noted for a number of accurate leaks .

According to their source, who claims to have a 100% track record, Metal Gear Solid’s return will be a full remake, not just a port or remaster of . He also claims that in addition to the first Metal Gear Solid , the second, third and fourth parts of the series are being prepared for re-release, but they will be remasters, and not complete remakes of the originals . Platforms are not specified.

It is currently unknown how far the development of the proposed MGS1 remake has progressed, but rumors of its existence echo other early reports. For example, back in November, studio Bluepoint Games , which has been working with Sony for a long time, hinted at the development of not one, but two remakes at once. Back then, the developers released a Halloween message to fans, compiled from the titles of many classic games, including Metal Gear Solid and Demon’s Souls 9. 0026 . A remake of the latter has indeed been confirmed since then, while nothing has been heard about the studio’s second project yet.

In addition, Sony is now actively buying third-party exclusivity, and Konami itself, which owns the rights to Metal Gear, said in 2019 that it wants to start releasing more major console games and work on other «world famous franchises» in addition to PES. The MGS1 remake fits into this strategy quite well.
