AM4 und viele USB-Ports: Nur Gigabyte und teure X570 Asus Boards?

Hey Leute.
So Gott will kommt am Montag mein 5900x. Nun bin ich auf der Suche nach einem passenden Board. Im Grunde sind meine einzigen Anforderungen, dass es schick ist, tolle VRM hat und ne dicke Ladung USB Ports. Kommt daher, dass ich neben Maus und Tastatur auch noch Sound, HOTAS, Couchtastatur inkl Couchmaus, Xbox Controller und VR Headset zu versorgen habe. Bisher läuft das VR Headset über eine pciE Karte, da es am bisherigen Board Probleme gab. Allerdings möchte ich die dann im neuen System hoffentlich nichtmehr nutzen müssen.
Jetzt habe ich aber damit schonmal 8 USB Ports belegt. Damit fliegt so gut wie alles an B550 und X570 raus. Dazu kommt auch, dass selbst wenn ich Sound auf USB-C umstelle ich immernoch ALLE 7 Ports belegt habe und sobald ich mal nen freien USB Slot für irgendwas brauche in die Röhre schaue.
Bisher sind die einzigen Boards die mir Geizhals ausspuckt entweder Gigabyte boards oder die Crosshairs.
Jetzt bin ich ehrlich gesagt aber echt kein Fan von den Gigabyte Boards. Sie sehen gegenüber den andern Herstellern nicht gerade gut aus und auch mit deren BIOS werde ich nicht warm. Mal ganz zu schweigen von den furchtbaren M.2 Schrauben
Also liege ich jetzt richtig in der Annahme, dass wenn ich viele USB Ports möchte entweder einiges Nordwärts von 300€ für ein Crosshair hinlegen darf oder die bittere Pille schlucke und zu Gigabyte zurück krieche?
Kann ich mir das Crosshair wenigstens irgendwie schönreden, dass das schon gut zu einem 5900x passt oder ist das so oder so totaler overkill und Geldverbrennen? (Im Grunde ist ja der 5900x schon hirnlos für ne reine gamingkiste aber hab kein Bock von einem 7700k 4-Kern auf nen ollen 6-Kern zu gehen…»fühlt» sich irgendwie nicht so toll an)

also mein x570 taichi hat laut webseite:
- 3 USB 3.2 Gen2 (Rear Type A+C, Front Type-C), 8 USB 3.2 Gen1 (2 Front, 6 Rear)
🤔 Wem das jetzt zu wenig ist der kann doch noch mit pcie karten aufrüsten?

Für die meisten genannten USB Geräte dürfte ja USB 2.0 reichen oder?
Es gibt ja noch die guten alten Slotblenden…

Ja hinten wäre schon fein. Vorne sieht halt immer bissl zugemüllt aus.
Eine Slotblende ist tatsächlich eine Idee. Sollte auch mit vertikaler GPU passen und das Kabel kann man auch hinter GPU verstecken. Danke für den Tipp.

Ich kenne das Problem mit den USB Anschlüssen, darum kommt mir auch kein B550 Board ins Haus
Eigentlich Schade das die Mobo Hersteller diese Blenden nicht mehr mitliefern, früher war das mal Gang und Gäbe. ..

Ich hab deinen Kommentar erst gar net so für voll genommen, da ich dachte so ein USB HUB wirkt sich nachteilig auf Latenz etc. aus. Allerdings bin ich jetzt über ein Video von Battlenonsense gestolpert und das hat mir alle Ängste genommen. Also USB Hub + feines aber preiswertes board wird klappen

Mainboard für Ryzen mit vielen USB-Anschlüssen
Hallo zusammen,
da ich diesen Monat endlich mein Ryzen Upgrade (1700X) hinter mich bringen will, brauche ich noch ein passendes Mainboard. Die Frage ist hier: Reicht ein günstigeres B350 Mainboard oder muss es ein teureres X370 sein? Ich will auch nicht mehr ausgeben, als nötig, allerdings hab ich dabei ein Problem: Ich brauche USB-Anschlüsse … viele davon. Mindestens 16 insgesamt, um genau zu sein. Davon mindestens 4x USB 3.0 für VR-Kram. Die restlichen halt für diverse Simracing und Flugsimulator-Hardware und ein paar weitere für Maus, Tastatur, USB-Sticks, Ladekabel, externe Platte usw. Ich denke dafür auch darüber nach, mir extra noch eine zusätzliche Karte mit weiteren USB-Steckplätzen zu kaufen oder nen extermen USB-Hub mit eigener Stromversorgung, wenn das Mainboard selbst nicht genug hergibt.
Ein paar Übertaktungsoptionen wären auch nett. Auch da wieder die Frage: Reicht B350 oder muss es ein X370 Mainboard sein?

— Wenn möglich sollte es nicht (viel) mehr als 150 Euro kosten
— Extreme Übertaktungswerte sind nicht eingeplant, knapp an die 4 GHz Grenze möchte ich damit kommen
— SLI ist nicht nötig
Und die ultimative Frage: Welches?

Das Asus Crosshair VI Hero (ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero Preisvergleich | Geizhals Deutschland) kommt auf 14 externe USB Anschlüsse und mehr bietet aktuell kein anderes AM4. Ergo bleibt dir nur ein externer USB Hub.
Bei der Wahl zwischen B350 und X370 kommt es ganz auf die eigenen Anforderungen an, da hilft also nur die Ausstattung der verschiedenen Bretter zu vergleichen

Das Ding ist mir dann doch ein wenig zu teuer, dann werde ich wohl auf auf ne externe Lösung zurückgreifen müssen. (Viel) mehr, als 150 Euro hatte ich für’s Mainboard auch nicht eingeplant, die CPU und der Speicher sind schon teuer genug. Das ganze muss auch nicht für extreme Übertaktungsorgien reichen, aber so knapp an die 4 GHz Grenze würde ich schon gerne kommen.

Monitor ist da, hat auch vier extra USB-Anschlüsse, die ich auch nutze. Aber sind halt einfache 2.0 Anschlüsse. Um den USB-Hub wird dann wohl kein Weg herumführen. Das MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon notiere ich mir mal, scheint aber (noch) schwierig zu kriegen zu sein. Weitere Vorschläge sind natürlich jederzeit willkommen.

Ich kann dir zum Asus Prime X370 Pro raten hat die gleichen SpaWa ICs wie das Crosshair und läuft bei mir seid über nem Monat stabil mit nem 1700X .
es kostet zwar ca. 160 € ist aber sein Geld absolut wert,Neawoulf

Danke für die Tipps, wird dann sicherlich eines davon werden. Wenn der Preis stimmt ein X370, ansonsten eines der beiden B350. Für die USB 3.0 Anschlüsse, werde ich mir dann einfach nen externen Hub dazukaufen, kostet ja auch kein Vermögen.
