Here, you will find every mission from every source in the game. You can find certain missions wherever they start, not just by the mission giver. Such as, if you receive a mission from Salvatore Leone on Staunton, look under Staunton for Salvatore’s mission list. Enjoy, and good luck.</p>

Portland Staunton Shoreside Vale

Vincenzo | JD O’Toole | Ma Cipriani | Salvatore Leone | Maria

The Beginning
Hop into the vehicle and drive down the hill. Drive down the hill and turn right at the yellow blip. Watch the cut-scene and go into the yellow marker. Change clothes by collecting the Change Clothing blip, and head back downstairs. Hop into the car and drive towards Trenton, a business district near the hospital. Yellow the yellow dot on the map to reach it, and you’ll receive $100 for completing the mission.

Slacker
Return to Vincenzo’s place and hop into a decent vehicle (the one from the previous mission works well). Drive up to the hill and pick up your worker by driving into the yellow marker. Drive to the marker in Chinatown and you will pass the mission, receiving $100 along the way.

Dealing Revenge
Head back to Vinny’s and he’ll order you to go to Chinatown and whack somebody. Follow the marker to the left to reach your destination, and you’ll hop out into an alley. Hold the Lock-On button and press the Action button repeatedly to pound this ass’ skull inside-out. When he hits the ground, stomp on him to finish him off for good. Now you will have to chase down a couple more of these Sindacco dealers before the mission is over. You can kill the other two by simply running them over with your vehicle. Once you’ve killed all three dealers, you’ll clear the mission and receive $500.

Snuff
Enter Vinny’s «palace» and get ready to grab some firepower at Ammu-Nation. Follow the blip on the radar to reach it, and go inside on foot. Pick up the free pistol, and take a vehicle to the construction site to the northeast. Lock onto the two guards and blow them away to go further inside of the construction site. Shoot the explosive barrel straight ahead to kill a guard and turn left to pop the pistol-toter. Turn right to shoot the guard coming down the ramp. With them dead, head left and you’ll see your target next to a car. Bump him off with some strafing gunplay, and grab his cell phone. Hop in the car and drive to the Pay ‘N Spray. You’ll receive $500 and clear the mission.

Smash And Grab
Grab a four-person vehicle (think van at this point), and head over to the blip on the radar to find Leone’s idiotic scumbags screwing up their selected task. Leone’s health meter drops steadily the longer you take, so get there quickly. As you approach the gas station, you’ll receive a three-star rating. Pick up the goons and lose the poh-poh (be careful of traveling near the gas pumps, as they’ll blow sky-high with you in the van). To lose the cops, you’ll want to drive to your neighborhood Pay ‘n Spray. It’s located to the southeast. The cops will likely take out your wheels along the way, so get ready for some intense action. Drive to the hideout to pass the mission and collect $1000.

Hot Wheels
You’ll have to pick up a vehic fulla blow. Travel east to find the blue dot on the map. As soon as you hop in, the cops pull up and want to send you to the pokey. Back up and zoom ahead, plowing through their cars before they can open your door up. You’ll have to get to a Pay ‘n Spray quickly, so watch your step as you drive along (they may take out your tires), and take the alley shortcut to lose a couple of cherries. After losing the fuzz, drive to the nearby lock-up and watch the cut-scene. It’s time to royally screw up his business by beating the living hell out of his precious car. Take it and destroy it in the car crusher down the block!

The Portland Chainsaw Masquerade
Head back to Vinny’s pad and meet him on the cargo ship at the docks. You can reach it to the right of the blip, as there is a bridge leading onto the ship itself. Once in the yellow blip, go right and collect the magnum. Head down to the hull on the left for a surprise. Get ready for a whole lot of dancing, as you dance around the chainsaw-wielding hitmen and blowing their heads off with the magnum after successfully getting far away before them. With all of the chainsaw men dancing, Vinny comes out with an automatic weapon. Disarm him by killing him dead, using your magnum five times. Booshaka! $3000 and the Overalls outfit are now available to you.

5 Ways Liberty City Stories Is The Best Spin-Off (& 5 It’s Vice City Stories)

Grand Theft Auto is one of the most popular open-world video game franchises today, spawning tons of sequels and spin-offs to its name. The most notable and best of which arguably being Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.

RELATED: GTA: 10 Things Only Fans Know About Tommy Vercetti

Liberty City Stories, the prequel to 2001’s Grand Theft Auto III, depicted the past of mob boss Toni Cipriani struggle to rise in the criminal world of Liberty City. Whereas Vice City Stories portrayed the struggles of up-and-coming criminal, Victor Vance, who most saw in Vice City. While Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories are both fantastic spin-offs, they’re great in different ways.

10/10 Liberty City Stories: Added Lore To GTA III

Liberty City Stories‘ protagonist Toni Cipriani was the main focus of the spin-off»s storyline. Although Toni made his debut in GTA III, the story centered around Claude and did not give Toni much of the spotlight. For LCS, Rockstar Games decided to focus on the Leones in order to expose what the mafia life of Liberty City would look like in 1998.

Liberty City Stories showed Toni Cipriani’s journey as he helped Salvatore Leone try to take over the entire mafia business from his uncle. After successfully sending his uncle back to Sicily, Salvatore made Toni his right hand and became the head of the mafia to rule over Liberty City.

9/10 Vice City Stories: Added Lore To Vice City

Like Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories was also a prequel to its original game. VCS was set in 1984, two years before the main story of Vice City in 1986. The protagonist of Vice City Stories was Victor Vance, a small-time criminal trying to build a criminal empire while also tending to his sick brother Lance.

Victor was originally a side character in Vice City, but Vice City Stories paved a new way for the character and gave him some recognition.

8/10 Liberty City Stories: Improved Graphics For Liberty City

Liberty City Stories polished Liberty City’s graphics far more than III could. One of the main improvements was reducing the foggy and gloomy atmosphere set in Liberty City. The sunlight-lit streets of Liberty City were a beautiful sight to behold for GTA III fans. Another improvement in graphics was the inclusion of the Liberty City Cemetery which was not present in GTA III.

7/10 Vice City Stories: Improved Game Mechanics

Vice City Stories added something both GTA III and Vice City lacked: swimming mechanics. Other than taking their protagonists out for a quick dive in the ocean, players could find a drastic difference in the weapon-wielding portion of the game. Guns in Vice City Stories equipped and reloaded much faster than its predecessors. Handling vehicles was also much easier than in the previous games of the franchise.

6/10 Liberty City Stories: Missions Were More Fun

Although GTA III had some interesting missions, a revenge arc was not everyone’s cup of tea when it came to Claude’s journey. Liberty City Stories had some better missions lined up for Toni. Some of the most intense missions for Toni included intense gunfights in the «Portland Chainsaw Masquerade,» facing Torini in «The Sicilian Gambit,» and driving in first-person view during the «Taking The Peace» mission.

RELATED: GTA V: 10 Ways The Next Version Can Still Improve The Game

Liberty City Stories had more interesting missions and involved more vehicles in comparison to GTA III. Missions involving cars, bikes, and boats captured the true essence of what Grand Theft Auto was most known for.

5/10 Vice City Stories: Another Dive Into The Beautiful Vice City

Based on the magnificent shores of Miami, Vice City was a truly beautiful game. Vice City Stories showcased Vice City in an even better light. The graphics improved drastically, making Vice City look more stunning. For fans who were already nostalgic for Vice City, Vice City Stories came packed with missions and lore.

4/10 Liberty City Stories: Toni Cipriani’s Mafia Life Progression

Toni Cipriani’s mafia life was the main focus of Liberty City StoriesLCS delved into how Salvatore Leone took over the Leone cartel and ruled the mafia industry of Liberty City.  Toni went from being a mere henchman working under the Leones to a «capo» (captain) of the cartel. Each mission developed Toni’s progression into the mafia empire and players were excited to see what the story would bring next to the table.

3/10 Vice City Stories: Gang Rivalries And Building Possessions

While buying and selling businesses was a possibility in Vice City, Vice City Stories improved and put a much-needed emphasis on the business aspect of gameplay. Players had to initiate gang wars in order to acquire certain turfs like the Malibu Club. They also had to defend their own areas from rival gangs. Since Vice City Stories was a prequel to Vice City, the story showed the step-by-step process of how the massive drug empire came to be.

2/10 Liberty City Stories: Added Side Missions, New Weapons, And Cars

Liberty City Stories had a massive amount of side missions to choose from. Not only could players roleplay as a taxi driver or deliver food, they could also take tourists on a tour across the city and even collect hidden packages as collectibles.

RELATED: Red Dead 3: 5 Reasons It’ll Be Rockstar’s Biggest Game (& 5 Why It’ll Be GTA6)

LCS also added some new weapons and cars which were missing from the GTA IIIcatalog. The V8 Ghost and Deimos SP sports cars were some of the more famous racing options in the game. A huge variety of melee weapons were also added, which included the chainsaw and katana.

1/10 Vice City Stories: Improved Graphics & More Side Missions

Vice City Stories took a page out of Liberty City Stories‘ book and improved on its graphics. Although VCS was a part of the 3D Universe with lower specifications as compared to GTA V today, the game ran much smoother than Vice City and there were a ton of newly added side missions to keep players busy. Some new side missions included «Phil’s Shooting Range,» completing different sorts of challenges, race & time trial events, and accepting impound requests where players could tow local cars to the impound lot.

Remembering the Most Hated Missions in the Original Trilogy

Foreword

It’s no secret to anyone who follows the gaming industry at least out of the corner of their eye and has access to news portals that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition is coming soon. Such a long name can scare the players no less than the new faces of familiar characters, possible censorship, and, like a cherry on top, the price. I think that everyone who is not lazy has already spoken on these topics, and news about the remaster pops up daily in the feed of each player. nine0003

The same news gave me an idea. We all remember our favorite games with warmth, especially those that we first got acquainted with in childhood. I will not hide, although I will sound trite and trite, but GTA is one of my favorite game series, which accompanied me literally at all stages of my life. I met Troika and Vice City as a child, before elementary school. San Andreas was one of the favorite games during the Middle Ages — thanks to SAMP and RP servers in particular. In it, but already on the first smartphone in my life, I actively stuck in high school, successfully ignoring the chatter of teachers — thanks to which I passed the mobile version of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories already during military service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. nine0003

So, what am I talking about? Yes, I passionately love almost every part of this series, especially the «classic trilogy». I wiped it to holes on various platforms, studied all the Easter eggs and even managed to hunt UFOs and Piggsy in GTA: SA. However, in each of the parts there were missions that were incredibly annoying on the first playthrough. Missions, because of which at times it seemed that it would not be possible to advance further. Missions that were impossible to complete without cheat codes or the help of older brothers. And I thought — why not remember them? nine0003

I think everyone has such missions, and maybe some stories associated with them. I would be glad if you, after reading this article, share them in the comments. In the meantime, I’ll talk about 9 of my most hated missions in the Grand Theft Auto trilogy.

Grand Theft Auto III

The first three-dimensional part of the series will start the compilation, and at the same time one of the first games that I happened to meet on the PC. Perhaps it was the age at which I encountered the game that made the tasks listed below so difficult. I must admit right away that the “troika” is the only part to which I practically did not return and, it seems, only once got to the final credits. I have no special memories with her, apart from the incredible delight of a completely open world and the ability to create whatever your heart desires. Well, the damn Dodo plane inflicted one of the first psychological traumas in my life. But the missions were poorly remembered, the tasks from the last island, not counting the final battle, I could not remember at all without peeping into the fan wiki. However, it was easiest to decide on the three unloved ones, because they were remembered from childhood

Bomb da Base: ACT II

Mission to cover 8-Ball with a sniper rifle while he tries to blow up a Colombian ship loaded with cocaine. Frankly, having returned to the game at a more conscious age, I could not understand why this mission seemed so difficult to me before. It is enough just to take a comfortable position and quickly shoot the dummy standing on the ship. However, as a child, this task seemed overwhelming and it took more attempts than all the previous tasks combined. nine0003

I do not know what it is connected with (I suspect that it was with my bad reaction from birth, which in childhood might have been even worse), but the partner absolutely did not want to survive and died over and over again under a hail of enemy bullets. At some point, I already wanted to change places with him, or better yet leave him somewhere in hiding (preferably as far from the ship as possible) and go alone to fight the Colombians. Unfortunately, the developers did not foresee such a scenario, so I had to put up with my partner, and with the umpteenth attempt, the game still succumbed to me. nine0003

Escort Service

A sudden flash forward, and now we are close to completing all the missions on the second island. And our employer is none other than Avery Carrington’s former student, Donald Love. We still do not know that by this moment he had already managed to visit Miami with his mentor, after which he ordered his murder, and completely ate the corpse. For us, Donald is just another person who hands out tasks. And on one of them, namely the penultimate one, for the first time my passage ended. nine0003

The essence of the mission is simple — you need to escort a cash-in-transit vehicle, which will be attacked by jeeps with representatives of the cartel along the way. In addition, whole ambushes and single shooters are kindly placed along the route. Again, with the repeated passage of this mission did not seem difficult to me. Moreover, the “health” scale of the car I was escorting did not even cross the middle.

But during the first passage, I did not manage to cope with this mission. The cash-in-transit vehicle barely made it half way before the Colombians turned it into a sieve, making a fool of me over and over again. nine0003

Espresso-2-Go!

However, hardly any mission can be compared in complexity with this one. For those who are not in the know, in order to successfully complete it, you must destroy 8 coffee stalls scattered across different corners of the map. Sounds damn easy? But what if I say that the stalls are displayed on the map only if you drive close enough to them? In addition, as soon as you destroy the first one, the timer is activated and only 8 minutes will remain for further destruction. nine0003

Playing this game for the first time, I had no idea that you can first go around the whole map and, as soon as the last mark appears on it, start acting. I thought that the marks would disappear if you drive away from them for a certain distance. Therefore, as soon as I demolished the first stall, I had to go on a journey, the speed of which even Sonic would envy. I ran madly around the islands, unsuccessfully trying to find and destroy all the stalls in eight minutes.

My memory helped me cope with this task. Every time I found a stall, I memorized its location on the map (there was no Internet in those distant years, the ability to take screenshots was the same, as well as a printer, so it would not have been possible to print them anyway). Gradually, the “puzzle” in my head took shape, and I heard the long-awaited melody, announcing the successful completion of the mission. Although coffee stalls still give me Vietnamese flashbacks. nine0003

Grand theft Auto: Vice City

At the mention of Vice City, the first thing that comes to mind is a mission with a helicopter, which at the beginning of the 2000s became a nightmare for all small gamers, and later turned into a funny meme. I am sure that every or almost every player who first encountered Vice City as a child will have memories of this level.

It didn’t succumb to me at one time, fortunately the older brothers came to the rescue, who in some unknown way coped with the passage, and then brought me the save on a floppy disk. However, there was no place for it in today’s selection, because the following missions got there. nine0003

Four Iron

And the first of them — from Avery Carrington, who decided to unconditionally take the title of the worst employer. In this task, you need to kill a businessman who is playing golf serenely (with a crowd of armed guards, of course). The difficulty lies in the fact that firearms cannot be brought into the territory of the golf club.

Unfortunately, in those days I did not yet have the student savvy or its more pumped army version. Therefore, I did not think of pushing the car, in which the villain begins to leave when he tries to attack, into the water. It did not occur to me to enter the golf club in a different way, bypassing the ill-fated checkpoint where the weapons are confiscated. Of course, in the end, perseverance won again, and the mission was completed, and Avery remained my least favorite character in the game. It’s good that in Liberty City Stories he was still killed, and then completely devoured. nine0003

Death Row

Next on the list is the mission to rescue our beloved Lance Vance Dance from the hands of the hated (though the funniest in the game, in my opinion) Diaz. The problem here is exactly the same as in the mission to escort the van from the previous game: no matter how I tried to save my partner in time, it ended in failure. If I moved slowly, trying not to throw myself under the bullets and methodically shooting enemies, the bar of his health reached zero before I reached the goal. If, on the contrary, I rushed at breakneck speed, trying to at least somehow hit the enemies on the go, I was dying. nine0003

As a child, I found the best (at least the most pretentious) way of passing, namely, a cheat code for a tank. How nice it was to break into this base, shooting absolutely helpless opponents with shells and ramming their cars. Lance was saved, the mission was completed, and the feeling of accomplished revenge was incredibly pleasing. And what’s the difference that it was passed dishonestly?

Stunt Boat Challenge

In conclusion, I would like to talk about this mission. After all, it was she who taught me that a real man should have big cojones, and a player who wants to complete the game without problems should not have third-party modifications installed. nine0003

Yes, in the «original» version, this mission does not cause any difficulties. It is enough just to remember the route and not to miss the jumps — then you can get to the finish line with a good margin of time.

At the time of the passage (it seems, the second or third) I had a modification installed, bearing the proud name Deluxe. I think many of you will remember her. I don’t know about you, but I first of all remember it as a helicopter, the model of which was replaced with a balloon (which looked absurd). And secondly, thanks to the replacement of one of the boats with this something. nine0003

Yeah, as a child, this model at least seemed cool looking. Not only does this misunderstanding look ugly, it also does not burn with the desire to develop the speed necessary to overcome obstacles. As a result, my passage ended on one of the first ski jumps — this, so to speak, «boat», instead of flying over the golf course, simply fell on it. I tried to take overclocking, but it did not help. At some point, I despaired and even tried to shove her into the water, pushing the character. All this was not successful and this is where my passage of the modification ended. nine0003

I will share a fact that I discovered just now while preparing for the text. If you turn off the FPS limit in the game menu, then the boat develops enough speed to slip through this unfortunate island. So, if one of you, in a fit of nostalgia, decides to replay this particular modification, you should know that not everything is lost and you can still get to the final credits.

Grand theft Auto: San Andreas

I won’t venture to say that I finally got to the most beloved part of the players. But for me, San Andreas is still one of my favorite games in general and definitely a favorite of the GTA series in particular. Although, for the most part, thanks to the multiplayer. Fortunately or unfortunately, I encountered it already at a more “conscious” age and by that time had managed to go through many games. So, unlike its predecessors, it seemed to me less complicated. Of course, there were some difficulties, and now we will talk about them. nine0003

Wrong Side of the Tracks

Actually, I’m wondering if this mission seemed difficult to anyone but me? Yes, I know that she became one of the most famous in the trilogy. And Big Smoke’s phrase «All we had to do, was follow the damn train» in terms of the number of references in memes will yield only to the more legendary «Aw, shit, here we go again».

But when discussing this game with friends or watching walkthroughs, I don’t seem to have heard about its difficulty. However, on my first playthrough, I sweated a lot before I could handle it. No matter how straight I tried to stay relative to the train, Smoke was absolutely not going to hit the opponents, as a result of which they left unhindered, and I heard the phrase mentioned above over and over again. nine0003

I managed to find a fun way to get through it. The fact is that on the route of the train, I found several sections that could be used as springboards. Over and over again I tried to make the perfect jump, and, as you might guess, I constantly fell, losing all hope of catching up with the departing train. It seems to me now that if I had tried to complete this task in a «normal» way, it would have taken me much less time. But the main thing is that the mission was still completed, right? nine0003

Supply lines and Freefall

The remaining missions are more familiar to this kind of collection. In addition, I do not have any personal history or an interesting way of passing with them. They simply demanded to spend a lot of time getting used to flying aircraft. And, to their credit, they still freeze me, and the second one still manages to cause difficulties with each passage. Oh, how many lessons of history and life safety were spent trying to pass them on the phone. nine0003

Let’s get down to business. In the first mission, you need to destroy several trucks while driving a toy plane. Yes, this task cannot be compared in complexity with the helicopter from the previous part. Moreover, we are not limited in time, and fuel is not consumed if instead of flying we roll on the ground. and the enemies do not give any rebuff. It is enough just to cope with the curvature and not break on your own.

Any mention of Freefall gives me goosebumps. Who even thought of inserting this mission into the game? It still feels like the most difficult task. Hell, getting through San Fierro driving school and flying school combined was far less of a hassle. I am sure that a detailed description is not needed here. Oh, you didn’t recognize this mission by its name? I’ll give you a hint: this is “the one where you need to turn around and get into the ring above the flying plane.” Remembered? Don’t thank. nine0003

Conclusion

Well, as I said in the introduction, the main purpose of this text is not to throw out the negative at all. Of course, the tasks listed above spoiled quite a few nerve cells. But, at the same time, they taught to be smart, to look for unusual ways to interact with the game world and, corny, to be more diligent and stubborn.

The main goal is to make you remember the tasks that caused you the most emotions and remembered for a lifetime. Recall the difficulties that you have encountered and behind which are personal and, I’m sure, fascinating stories. Remember what we hate and adore this series of games for. And of course, share it in the comments. nine0003
