There are two ways that allow you to play with your friends. To play multiplayer you will have to:

  • Join Game
  • Create Game

Now let us take a look at how to join or create a game.

How to Join Game in Farming Simulator 22

  1. Select the Multiplayer tab in the Main menu.
  2. Next, you will get two options Join Game or Create Game. Select Join Game.
  3. Upon clicking Join Game you will see all the games that are currently in an ongoing session, that you can join. Here you can also find your people from your friends list if they are online.
  4. You can also improve your search with the help of the following filters:
    • Map: Shows games that are being played on a certain map.
    • Language: The language that is being used in that session.
    • Max. players: The maximum number of players that can join a session.
    • No password: If this is set to on, you can find sessions that can be joined without a password.
    • No full games: If this is set to on, you won’t find a full game session on this list.
    • Only Downloaded DLCs: When set on it will show sessions that have the downloaded DLCs.
    • Allow Crossplay: If this is set to on, you will find sessions that allow crossplay.
  5. Once you toggle the above settings and find a session you feel works for you, join that game.

How to Create Game in Farming Simulator 22

  1. Select the Multiplayer tab from the main menu.
  2. You get two options, Join Game and Create Game. Select Create Game.
  3. Next, you can either pick any of your existing game saves. Or you can create a new game save.
  4. If you happen to create a new game save then you get two options Farm Manager or Start from Scratch.
  5. Choose a Save game and it will show you all the Mods and DLCs that you want to enable for the multiplayer session. Remember to select mods/DLCs that are also available on consoles if you intend to play the session as crossplay.
  6. Next, fill up the following fields to set up a server.
    • Game Name: The name of your session or server.
    • Password: The password required in order to join your game.
    • Port: It is best if you leave this setting unchanged.
    • Allow crossplay: Setting this to On lets console or PC players join session based on which system you are setting up the game. And if you turn it off then only your system players can join the session.
    • Internet connection: Select an option that matches your internet connection.
    • Use UPnP: It is best if you keep this setting off.
    • Max Players: This Lets you set the maximum number of players that can join your session.
    • Auto accept: If this setting is set on, players will directly join your session. And if this is set to off, you will get a notification each time someone joins your game.
    • Multiplayer Language: The language you wish to use for the session.
  7. Open the pause menu and go to the Farm management tab.
  8. On the bottom left corner of the screen, you can find the option “Invite Friends“.

Once your friends accept your invitation you can start playing together.

  • Cross-platform system. FS22 has a feature allowing you to play with people who use a different system. For example, if you play the game on a PC, you can play with console players. You can also turn off this feature and prohibit cross-platform servers from joining your game.
  • Google Stadia support. The game will be available on Google Stadia, meaning that you will be able to play even if you do not meet the minimum hardware requirements. The reason we are putting this here is that you will also be able to play in multiplayer mode in Google Stadia.
  • Easy server creation. In order to create a server, you only need a PC or a console. If you have an unstable internet connection, though, you can rent a server through such partners as Nitrado.
  • Many players on one server. If you create a server on a PC, it can host 16 people, but if you create it on a console, then only 6 players can join.
  • Matching game versions with other players. If you want to play in multiplayer, you and other players must have the same version of the game, as well as the same DLC extensions.
  • Voice and text chat available. In multiplayer mode, you can use voice and text chat. However, console players cannot text – they can only read messages.
  • Two ways to play multiplayer. You can choose your preferred strategy for multiplayer mode: you can build your farm separately from other players, not allowing them to intervene with your everyday activities, or cooperate with them and build a farm together, sharing equipment, tools, machinery, and buildings.

Farming Simulator 22 has topped the Steam bestseller chart.

There have been many changes to the Steam bestseller chart last week. Farming Simulator 22 became the new leader of the rating, displacing Battlefield 2042 from the first place. Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Horizon Zero Dawn also returned to the top ten best-selling games.

Farming Simulator 22 was released on November 22nd. On the very first day, the peak online project on Steam reached 105,636 people. This is more than it was at the start of Battlefield 2042 (the maximum number of simultaneous shooter players is 105 397 people). Now the online peak of the agricultural machinery simulator has decreased. In the last 24 hours, it was at a maximum of 94,744 people, and at the time of writing the news — 18,348 people.

Farming Simulator 22 was well received by critics. On Metacritic the game was rated 81 points out of 100. But the opinions of the players were divided. Metacritic users gave the title only 4.7 points out of 10, saying that the new game is almost no different from its predecessor Farming Simulator 19. While Steam users were generally satisfied. In the Valve store, simulator has received 85% positive reviews.

In other games, this time only one edition of Battlefield 2042 remains on the Steam bestseller chart (there were three the previous week). It took second place.

The third line went to Cyberpunk 2077. A 50% discount helped the game get into the rating. Thanks to her, the title managed to get 76% of positive reviews.

The sale was good not only for Cyberpunk 2077.
