So many cute handmade dog toys all made by women AND recyclable (you can bring back destroyed toys for a discount towards the next one). Loved everything at the store as well as the lovely owners!

Shella Shin

Was randomly in the neighborhood and passing by with my boyfriend when he noticed the leashes and we chose to walk in. Our dog has been needing a leash for some time and this store was super cute! The items are great quality, sturdy and probably chew-proof, which is what we needed. The woman (Jen) helping us as well as their story (ethically sourced, environmentally friendly and donate proceeds to animals) was incredible and we will definitely be back.

Lovely family business with adorable handmade toys my dachshund puppy loves!

What a cute store. I was tempted by the leashes but had just gotten a new one. Got a green one as a housewarming gift for a friend. For my own puppy I got the ice cream cone which she loves to chew on. I have my eye on a sweater for her for Christmas…

Unique Experience

Greetings from Lithuania.

«Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture» (2015) is a pretty unique game. Well first of all to call it a game is … strange, as there isn’t really any game-play. All you have to do is simply walk (which is kinda slowly process in here), open some doors or activate radio, telephone, TV. And that is pretty much all what you can do. The core of this «game» is story, atmosphere, dialog and some ideas which you will probably have while experiencing it, because «experience» pretty much sums it up.

Overall, «Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture» is a unique and beautiful looking journey to find out what happened, while making your own explanation to what happened in here. Sometimes though this journey can be amazingly beautiful. It has amazingly good music — music is simply magnificent in here. «Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture» is a really a unique experience, not the best but far far far away from bad or average.

Arestovich phenomenon. Why did an adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine resign

Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine, said he had written a letter of resignation.

«I want to set an example of civilized behavior: a fundamental mistake means resignation,» Arestovich explained his decision. nine0005

«The last time I left, a month and a half later, the war started. Let’s see what happens this time,» he added in the comments to the post.

  • «I found only the dead.» Stories of residents of a house destroyed by a Russian missile in the Dnieper

According to the press secretary of the President Sergei Nikiforov, the chief of staff of the office of the President of Ukraine Maria Vitushok signed the order to dismiss Arestovich. This is reported by «Ukrainian Truth».

The resignation is related to Arestovich’s unverified statement about the circumstances of the destruction of a residential building in Dnipro by a Russian missile. nine0005

Scandal

On the evening of January 14, Aleksey Arestovich on the Feigin Live YouTube channel said that the missile that destroyed part of the house in Dnipro was shot down by Ukrainian air defense forces , fell on a high-rise building and exploded.

This information was immediately picked up by the Russian media. As many in Ukraine believe, this hasty statement played along with Russian propaganda.

Even the press secretary of Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, referred to the words of Arestovich, commenting on the situation in the Dnieper. nine0005

The command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine quickly denied the words of Arestovich, saying that the Ukrainian military did not have the means capable of shooting down Kh-22 missiles. This was confirmed by military experts.

Therefore, Arestovich’s statement provoked condemnation on social networks and calls for the President’s office to formally release him from his post.

Already in the afternoon of January 15, Arestovich explained his words by lack of sleep and lack of time to check information. nine0005

He wrote about this in his telegram channel. At first, Arestovich apologized, but later withdrew his apology.

«Guys, I’m just tired. 320 days of live evening broadcasts, in addition to other work, constant sleep deprivation, constant information load, business trips. Millions of contacts a day and all with … «super urgent and super important» information,» he explained the conditions their work during the war.

According to Arestovich, he constantly has to analyze the information he receives, for this he does not have employees, and he has taken on a bunch of «informational and practical» processes. nine0005

«I finished a complex informational event in front of Feigin. I was already able before the broadcast, when I fell asleep on the go and could barely move my tongue,» Arestovich explained.

Already on January 16, on Feigin Live, he put forward an additional version of what happened .

According to him, his words were used by «Medvedchuk’s bot farm», as well as by the Ukrainian opposition, to harm Ukraine. nine0005

Arestovich insisted that his position was too modest and insignificant to give such weight to his words, and once again apologized to the families and friends of the victims of the tragedy in Dnipro for his words.

As of the morning of January 17, 44 people were killed as a result of a Russian missile attack on the Dnieper, and the search for more than 20 people continues.

Arestovich phenomenon

Svyato Slav Khomenko, BBC

The author of the photo, VVS

The phenomenon of Alexei Arestovich during this war is still waiting for its researcher.

It is difficult to find a person on both sides of the front who would evoke such a range of such strong and completely opposite emotions. He is considered a prophet and a charlatan at the same time, he is adored and hated, he is respectfully listened to and his surname is used as a common noun in completely unattractive contexts.

Or maybe the truth is that Arestovich is all this at the same time? nine0005

He came to President Zelensky’s office on the first day after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. I know from my sources that the mood in the office was, to put it mildly, nervous. Outside the office — close to panic. Sirens on the streets, traffic jams at exits from major cities, long queues in supermarkets. But, on the other hand, already in the first hours of the war, it became clear that the Ukrainians did not meet the Russian army with flowers, and queues lined up not only at ATMs, but also at military registration and enlistment offices. nine0005

In this situation, the presidential team needed a voice that, on behalf of the authorities, would deliver simple messages to millions of Ukrainians from the premises of the president’s office. We don’t panic. Power is in place. The Russians lie about their phenomenal success. In fact, we resist. Everything will be fine. We will win. Perhaps even very soon. So we don’t give up. And we don’t panic.

In one of the interviews, Arestovich admitted that in the first days of the great war he himself did not fully believe in the instructions that he voiced from television screens. But the Ukrainian society, not ready for a war of this magnitude, needed a sedative. And Arestovich skillfully performed this function, thanks to which he staked out a place in Ukrainian near-war mythology: in the first months of the great war, his portrait appeared on beer cans, his name sounded in military songs, his image was beaten in dozens, if not hundreds of memes. Opinion polls showed that Arestovich became one of the leaders of public trust in Ukraine. He bathed in glory. nine0005

But over time, fewer and fewer Ukrainians needed a sedative — the war had become too tightly integrated into their lives. Yes, and the communication needs of the authorities have changed — the system of informing about what is happening at the front by official speakers, although not as nice as Arestovich, was built by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

And even after that, Arestovich did not disappear from sight — rather, he went into relatively free swimming. His nightly broadcasts on Mark Feigin’s channel are still gaining one and a half million views. nine0005

For a certain part of society, ready to consume only good news from the fronts, it has become something akin to a drug.

Probably, Arestovich also played a certain role as an information weapon of Kyiv aimed at the enemy: he spent most of his broadcasts in Russian, and it is hardly possible to find content that would demotivate potential Russian soldiers to go to war more than front-line reports in his performance.

But gradually complaints about the content of Arestovich’s broadcasts accumulated. He was accused of not having any exclusive access to information from the fronts, he was simply creatively rethinking data from open sources. A symbol of Arestovich’s incompetence for ill-wishers was the phrase «Two weeks, maximum three» — his answer to the question of how long the war will last, dated last spring. nine0005

He was accused of insufficient patriotism — he spoke out in defense of «good Russians» and spoke out in defense of the Russian language in Ukraine of the future. They accused him of hype for the sake of monetizing broadcasts with his participation and of inappropriate political ambitions: in an interview with Dmitry Gordon, he did not rule out that, under certain circumstances, he could take part in the presidential election.

And then the Dnieper happened. The phrase that a rocket, shot down by Ukrainian air defense forces, dropped by Arestovich and picked up by Russian propaganda, could have fallen on a high-rise building on Pobeda Embankment, while the bodies of the victims of the tragedy continued to be recovered from under the rubble, caused an uproar even among his yesterday’s admirers . nine0005

Arestovich’s absurd attempt to apologize: they say, I’m tired of the broadcasts, so I made a mistake — I also «didn’t go in». Ukrainian soldiers in Bakhmut — that’s who is tired, and you would watch your language, reproach him.

Arestovich’s blood was demanded so loudly that for Zelensky’s team the damage from keeping him in the clip (moreover, he was not included in the relative clip, Zelensky’s closest associates anyway) clearly outweighed the hypothetical benefit from owning such an asset, which had clearly become toxic. This, most likely, can explain the appearance of today’s statement of Arestovich’s resignation. nine0005

On the other hand, for the ex-Advisor of the President’s Office himself, his signing will not change practically anything. He will continue to participate in the broadcasts and promote his own side projects. To be an idol for some and an adventurer for others — this can be seen at least from the comments under his resignation post.

Indicative in this respect is the remark of Arestovich himself, in which he recalled his last year’s resignation from the post of speaker of the Ukrainian delegation in the Minsk negotiating group, also after a series of scandals: «Last time, when I left, the war started a month and a half later. Let’s see, what will happen this time. nine0005
