Heritage Armor sets are cosmetic armor sets available to each Allied Race and several main races. Each set has a special unlock and once acquired, can be transmogged by any character of that particular race.

Allied Races

Each Allied Race has a specific Heritage Armor Set. This is acquired by leveling from level 10 to level 50 on the Allied Race character. Once you reach level 50 you will need to complete the associated questline.

There are a few things that will prevent you from receiving your heritage armor set, so be sure not to use any of the following:

  • Character Boost tokens
  • Faction or Race changing your Allied character

These sets are cosmetic, meaning they can be transmogged onto any Cloth, Leather, Mail, or Plate the Allied Race character is using. Other races cannot use that Heritage Armor Set.

Dark Iron Dwarf Heritage Armor Set

You will earn the Dark Iron Dwarf Heritage Armor set by reaching level 50 without a character boost. This will reward Dark Iron Heritage Armor and the Heritage of the Dark Iron Feat of Strength. These items can only be transmogged by Dark Iron Dwarf characters.

Highmountain Tauren Heritage Armor Set

For reaching 50 on the Highmountain Tauren Allied Race without a leveling boost, you receive the Heritage of Highmountain Feat of Strength and Highmountain Armor Set, a highly-detailed cosmetic armor set. These items can only be transmogged by Highmountain Tauren characters.

Kul Tiran Human Heritage Armor Set

For reaching 50 on the Kul Tiran Human Allied Race without a leveling boost, you receive the Heritage of the Kul Tirans Feat of Strength and Kul Tiran Armor Set, a highly-detailed cosmetic armor set. These items can only be transmogged by Kul Tiran Human characters.

Lightforged Draenei Heritage Armor Set

For reaching 50 on the Lightforged Draenei Allied Race without a leveling boost, you receive the Heritage of the Lightforged Feat of Strength and Lightforged Armor Set, a highly-detailed cosmetic armor set. These items can only be transmogged by Lightforged Draenei characters.

Mag’har Orc Heritage Armor Set

You will earn the Mag’har Orc Heritage Armor set by leveling a Mag’har Orc to 50 without a character boost. This will reward a special Heritage Armor set and the Heritage of the Mag’har Feat of Strength. These items can only be transmogged by Mag’har Orc characters.

There are three different tints of this Heritage Armor, representing the Warsong, Blackrock, and Frostwolf Clans. This is the only Allied Race with multiple Heritage Armor tints.

Mechagnome Heritage Armor Set

For reaching 50 on the Mechagnome Allied Race without a leveling boost, you receive the Heritage of the Mechagnome Feat of Strength and Mechagnome Armor Set. These items can only be transmogged by Mechagnome characters.

Nightborne Heritage Armor Set

For reaching 50 on the Nightborne Allied Race without a leveling boost, you receive the Heritage of the Nightborne Feat of Strength and Shal’dorei Heritage Armor Set. These items can only be transmogged by Nightborne characters.

Void Elf Heritage Armor Set

Vulpera Heritage Armor Set

For reaching 50 on the Vulpera Allied Race without a leveling boost, you receive the Heritage of the Vulpera Feat of Strength and Vulpera Heritage Armor Set. This can only be transmogged by Vulpera.

Assembling the G.E.A.R Team

The questline starts at the Stormwind Embassy, and to access it, you need to be a level 120 Gnome character who is Exalted with Gnomeregan. When you meet both requirements, Ace Pilot Stormcog will show up there with the quest Shifting Gears, who tells you that your presence in New Tinkertown is necessary to aid in Gnomeregan’s might in the war against the Horde.

<player>! The Alliance has made a new request for Gnomeregan’s might in the coming war. It is my honor to inform you that Captain Sparknozzle wishes for your expert assistance in the matter.

You are hereby requested to meet him in New Tinkertown.

Captain Tread Sparknozzle tells you that the leaders of the Alliance agreed to fund a Gnomish Elite Aerial Taskforce! In Gnomeregan’s Finest, we assemble our team, which counts with the finest Gnomeregan soldiers: Cog Captain Winklespring, Fizzi Tinkerbow and Emaedi Autoblast.

With our team fully recruited, we’re almost ready to engage on our mission… Except we’re missing a innovative new engine, left behind in Gnomeregan during the evacuation in Shadowed Halls and Dusty Cogs!

Captain Tread Sparknozzle: You are Gnomeregan’s finest soldiers. Paragons of gnomanity. The best examples of gnomish ingenuity and determination.
Captain Tread Sparknozzle: And so, you four will be the first to take to the skies as Gnomish Aerial Elite Rangers, and—
Emaedi Autoblast: Elite Aerial Rangers, sir!
Captain Tread Sparknozzle: Excuse me, soldier?
Emaedi Autoblast: You said Aerial Elite Rangers, which would be G.A.E.R. If you wanted G.E.A.R.—
Captain Tread Sparknozzle: I know what I said! Anyway, you are the first Gnomish Elite Aerial Rangers. And you will show Azeroth everything we gnomes can accomplish.

We go through Gnomeregan’s Workshop entrance, stealth through the instance and find the Arcane Engine guarded by a mechanohound. Once we loot the Engine, we quickly teleport out of Gnomeregan, as the faulty security system tracked us!

Fizzi Tinkerbow: One, two, three. Can you hear me, Commander?
Cog Captain Winklespring: Looks like your communication device is working, tinker.
Cog Captain Winklespring: Commander, the last gnomes to visit the wing were my own unit on their way to Sector 17. Watch out for any steam pipes or gnomebots in disrepair.

Fizzi Tinkerbow: My old workshop! The engine should be on the other side of the room. But I don’t detect my old combat suit. How odd…
LASS-E x12: GUARD MODE ACTIVATED.
LASS-E x12: WAS I A G-GOOD B-B-B-BOY…
Gnomeregan Security System: Warning! Warning! Intruder alert! Intruder Alert!

Our First Mission

While we were in Gnomeregan, Sparknozzle received a distress signal from Borean Tundra. It is time to prove what the G.E.A.R. can do, and we fly to Fizzcrank Airstrip in A Tundra Conundrum! We arrive shortly after the rest of the G. E.A.R. team, and we’re briefed on the issue: Troggs are attacking the airstrip! With a prototype bomber gun, we send them back to the nether in Now With More Mechanical Fowl. The weapon has lots of funny effects like explosive chickens, a death laser, and homing rockets!

With the grunt troggs taken out, it is time to kill their leader in Smarter Than Your Average Trogg. The trogg leader, Krugg the Smart, is even riding a mechanobot! As we kill Krugg, he drops a communication device, which means someone else is leading the troggs. Fizzi reverse engineers the device in The Gnome Behind the Trogg and we find out the responsible for the attacks is Telzo Sparkspanner, one of Mekgineer Thermaplugg’s assistants!

Fizzi Tinkerbow: And three. Two. One.
Telzo Sparkspanner: I don’t hear any more noise. I hope that means you smashed the intruder, you foolish brute.
Cog Captain Winklespring: Telzo Sparkspanner! It can’t be!
Emaedi Autoblast: You know that ugly mug, Cog Captain?
Cog Captain Winklespring: He was one of Thermaplugg’s assistants. But no one has heard from him since the Gnomeregan incident.

Defeating Sparkspanner

Fizzi manages to track the signal to the Storm Peaks, and G.E.A.R. flies there in style in A Signal in Storm Peaks! During our flight, Telzo contacts us and talks more about the Gnomeregan incident.

Fizzi Tinkerbow: All systems ready! Let’s fly!
Cog Captain Winklespring: Sparkspanner always was an off one… I can’t imagine what he has planned.
Telzo Sparkspanner: Imagine no longer, simpleton! I am more than willing to tell you what he has planned.
Cog Captain Winklespring: Sparkspanner! So you did survive Gnomeregan!
Telzo Sparkspanner: Did you really think that I, the great Thermaplugg’s second-in-command, would die in a scheme I helped engineer?
Cog Captain Winklespring: You WHAT? What could you possibly hoped to accomplish?
Telzo Sparkspanner: Recognition! What did we get? A fool of a gnome sweeping in and reaping the rewards of all our work.
Telzo Sparkspanner: All those who followed Mekkatorque must pay! With my army of troggs, I will decimate all of gnomanity.

Fizzi Tinkerbow: Commander! The signal tracker is going haywire! I’ll need some time to recalibrate it.
Cog Captain Winklespring: Find a safe spot to land! We’ll cover you while you adjust the device.

In Gnomercy!, we unleash one of G.E.A.R.’s creations: a portable assault tank. We de-shrink it and then go wild on the troggs. When Fizzi fixes the signal tracker, we’re then caught by the G.E.A.R, team and brought to the Terrace of Makers, closer to the signal (and Thorim, but this is likely a phasing bug).

We discover in Operation: Troggagedon that Sparkspanner is hiding within the Halls of Stone, and he has reconfigured the defenses of Ulduar to recognize us as hostile. We embark with Winklespring on an aerial mission to clear out the defenses and more troggs, and in For Gnomeregan!, we land right into Halls of Stone, where Sparkspanner has a massive bot waiting for us! Fortunately, Telzo dies once his Smashbot is defeated, and we return back home with a swift victory for the G. E.A.R. team!

Heritage of Gnomeregan

We return to New Tinkertown to celebrate in G.E.A.R. Up, and we receive the Gnome Heritage Armor, the Heritage of Gnomeregan. Featuring lots of cogs and spinning gizmos, this is G.E.A.R’s official uniform! You will also receive the G.E.A.R. Tracking Beacon, a new version of the Flight Master’s Whistle that will invoke a G.E.A.R. jet to pick you up! You can preview the full Heritage set in our Dressing Room.

The dwarves gathered in the main hall of the fortress at a small table to discuss what had happened and what was to come. They decided the further fate of the children of the Blacksmith.

The death of the hero was a blow to all the dwarves, the mood in the hall was depressed.

Khargorin, looking around at those present, pushed the box towards Boindil.

— They have chosen you as their king. You must take her. Take Tungdil’s ashes to the Blue Mountains and build your friend the monument he deserves. nine0006

The madman silently looked at the box. He still couldn’t come to terms with the bookman’s death. Some part of his soul desperately clung to the thought that it could be a changeling, a double of Tungdil, but in fact Boindil understood whom they had set on fire with prayers to Vrakkas to the sound of horns and the singing of a dwarf choir. Balindis said that this dwarf was indeed Tungdil. She felt it in her heart. Just like Boindil himself.

«You should have listened to your feelings from the very beginning.» Blind men like Goda and Kira had influenced his opinion for too long. Until now, there were those among the dwarves who secretly hoped for the return of the real Tungdil Golden-handed. «But I know the truth.» nine0006

Slowly reaching out, he placed his fingers on the reddish-gold metal.

— I will do that, Hargorin. The madman sighed. “Soon I will go home to restore order in the Blue Mountains and free our corridors from the corpses of black-eyes. There, the Seconds are already waiting for me, who managed to escape in the cities of the Fremen.

Balindis gave him a reassuring smile.

— You will be able to restore your kingdom, Boindil. It’s a big challenge, but you love it.

— Your words to Vrakkas would be in the ears, queen. The madman smiled faintly.

«We still have to discuss the question of the next High King,» said Frandibar.

«I don’t think this should be discussed for the next twenty solar cycles,» suggested Xamthor. — It seems to me wrong to immediately look for a replacement for Tungdil Golden-handed. Let the throne remain empty, and after twenty cycles we will see who will prove himself as the most worthy king of the tribe.

— According to me, he should be the next High King. Hargorin pointed to Boindil. nine0006

— I thank you for these words, but I would not like to hold such a post. The madman raised his hand. I like his offer. He nodded to Xamthor. “I suggest that we meet once every solar cycle and report what has happened in each kingdom. In twenty solar cycles we will convene a council of the heads of the clans. Let them make the decision.

Everyone applauded approvingly.

Frandibar looked at the Black Gorge model still on the table.

— We will leave the fortress to the Ubariu and underground, right? nine0006

“Yes,” Boindil nodded. I see no reason to keep it. I guess the inhabitants of the Other Lands will simply leave it or use the stones to build something new. I heard they want to erect a monument to Tungdil here. He glanced around at the people present. Have we discussed everything?

No one had any more questions, everyone said goodbye and went to their rooms. Soon the dwarves were to go to their homeland, to their kingdoms. The longest journey was for Xamthor, the shortest for Frandibar. nine0006

The madman, immersed in gloomy thoughts, wandered around the fortress, clutching a box in his hands.

There are deep cracks in the walls. We need to leave the Barrier as soon as possible before the ceiling beams begin to fall…

And suddenly, as if out of nowhere, a jadar appeared in front of Equal-armed.

— Time to go home? A devilish smile played on his lips.

Boindil glanced at the black armor that Balodil never took off.

— Yes. Are you not going home? You are the Third…

“No,” Balodil interrupted. “I am a jadar created by the elves. I will go to them. I’ll hunt them down until I’ve got all the blackeyes out of their hiding places.

— Ephaton was going to do this. In fact, you should take a squad of warriors from the Black Squadron with you.

— Efaton cannot find everyone. I know their secrets, but the king does not. They betrayed their own master, and he forgot about it. I will go alone. Still others are good warriors, but their martial arts will not help in the battle with the elves. This is my hunt. Zhadar removed his flask from his belt. — Hold on. nine0006

The madman accepted the gift.

— But… I thought you needed that too? He looked around, afraid that someone would see them.

Balodil giggled, then suddenly barked like a dog. After a moment, he returned to normal.

— I will brew my own potion. He leaned towards the dwarf’s ear. “From Alvian blood,” the jadar whispered hoarsely. — I’ll squeeze them dry. He ran his tongue over his lips, his eyes shining.

Boindil shuddered. Balodil scared him.

— What will you do when you catch everyone?

Zhadar shrugged his shoulders, pouting his lips in a funny way, like a little gnome who was scolded by his mother.

— That, behold. Maybe I’ll go to the Fremen. Maybe I’ll leave the Hidden Land. Maybe I’ll throw myself off a cliff. Hiccupping, he stroked his short beard. “Or I will go to the Other Lands, gather an army and go to the Hidden Land by war. He looked into Boindil’s eyes. — What do you think?

— You won’t do that. You know that there are too many heroes who can stop you. The madman leaned forward. And I know your weakness. The son of Tungdil Goldenhand would never destroy his father’s legacy. nine0006

Pulling back, Balodil burst out laughing.

— No, I was never his son. I heard this name and the story about the son of Zlatoruky, so I decided to fool around a bit. He giggled. “And you believed, didn’t you?”

«Almost,» Mad Man admitted with relief. — Well, I wish you success in what you have in mind.

Zhadar jokingly saluted.

— If you ever need me, shout my name to the east wind. He is my friend and will pass on your words,” he said quite seriously, retreating into a side corridor. All the torches there went out at once. “May your god help you. And the gnome disappeared. nine0006

— But how did you learn the story of Balodil? said Boindil.

“One of my friends told me about it,” came from the darkness. “The one you called Grouchy claimed to be the son of Tungdil.

— What? The madman went cold. — It’s true? He followed the zhadar into the darkness of the corridor.

But he did not know the answer to this question.

Still thinking about what he heard, Equal-Arms headed towards himself. Dwarfs walked towards him with boxes and bales on their shoulders.

The move began, everyone was packing, hoping to be back home soon.

«Still, it’s a bit of a pity.» Boindil ran his hand along the granite wall with a slight sadness. This fortress was built according to his drawings, he lived here for hundreds of solar cycles, and the Barrier to Evil became a home for the Madman, in which his children grew up.

«I will often come back here, even in my mind.»

Entering the room, he saw his entire family sitting at the table with Koira, Mallenia and Rodario. Years about something animatedly talked with the sorceress. She waved at Boindil when she saw him appear in the doorway. nine0006

Lunatic knew that Goda went to Kira’s funeral. The Underground did not hold a special ceremony for this, but the sorceress came to honor the memory of her friend. But Boindil did not go. He believed that the killer of his friend deserved neither compassion nor final honors.

— Hey! Did the sorcerers really decide to divide the lands of the Hidden Country? he chuckled, dropping the box and flask on the table.

— No, we will not share anything. Peace and harmony awaits us,” the queen replied. “We talked about the fact that I will use the magical source located on the lands of the elves, and I will protect the source along with the elves. I hate to admit it, but Weyurn will have to be controlled from there. For a year, she intends to use the source in the Blue Mountains. nine0006

— This will not please the future king of Gauragar.

«It will please you,» objected Mallenia. “And by the way, Gauragar will be ruled not by a king, but by a queen.”

Are you? Boindil bowed. — You led the resistance movement for many years and deserved this post. Well, congratulations, Queen Mallenia. And what about our hypocrite? Is the actor destined to become the king of Idomor? He winked.

New armor and blood elf heritage quest line discovered in public test space nine0002

World of Warcraft players have discovered a new blood elf heritage quest line and cosmetic items in the 9.2.5 Public Test Realm.

After the completion of Shadowlands fans World of Warcraft look to the future of Azeroth. Some World of Warcraft players have been looking into the quests and files on the Public Test Realm for the upcoming patch 9.2.5 and have found a continuation of the Blood Elf Legacy quest, which seems to fit all the wishes of the players. nine0006

In Battle for Azeroth , the Legacy Armor quests were introduced, and the Blood Elves were one of the first races to receive them. These quests not only explored the history and background of WoW ‘s races, but also provided players with unique, race-specific armor and cosmetics to collect, making them one of the most popular side quests in the game.

New quests unlocked by players World of Warcraft seem to be a continuation of the first Blood Elf Legacy quest. Blood elf players are called to Silvermoon to aid the leaders of the sin’dorei — Liadrin, Lor’themar, Rommath, and Aethas — in their battle against the vampiric San’layn, who seeks to control the now powerless Scourge that ravages the Ghostlands. In order to defeat him, players will need a special weapon, and in order to obtain it, players will have to travel through the various realms of the Twilight Lands. nine0006

In addition to the questline, a new set of Blood Knight-themed armor and a hawk mount have been reported from PTR Shadowlands , which will likely be a questline reward.
