Resurgence — DTF games
An interesting project in the aesthetics of the Star Trek: The Next Generation series from people from Telltale.

At Game Awards 2021, Dramatic Labs unveiled the announcement trailer for Star Trek: Resurgence, a story-driven adventure game set in the Star Trek universe.
Announcement Trailer
Dramatic Labs is made up of more than two dozen former Telltale employees, so it’s no wonder their game continues the game design tradition of The Walking Dead: The Game, Game of Thrones, and Tales from the Borderlands. nine0003
(It is noteworthy that Telltale itself, restored after the dissolution under new management, is now also busy playing under the license of the famous Sci-Fi series The Expanse).
Star Trek: Resurgence, in addition to the usual story adventure with a choice of dialogues, will give players the opportunity to explore the game world in a third-person mode, control a shuttle, shoot a phaser, scan the environment with a tricorder. The game will have elements of stealth and various mini-games.
nine0004 4 minutes of gameplay as Engineer Diaz
Resurgence is a single player game in which the player will be given control of two main characters serving in the U.S.S. Resolute («Resolute»): Carter Diaz, enlisted engineer from the lower decks, and Jara Rydek, first officer. The developers note that this separation of heroes allows them to show service on the Federation spaceship from two different perspectives: the one who takes orders and the one who gives them.
The game will take place in the year 2380, immediately after the events of Star Trek: Into Darkness (2002), the last film about the Star Trek: The Next Generation team to date (1987-1994).
The plot of Resurgence begins with the starship Resolute being sent to the edge of the galaxy, where two neighboring civilizations are on the brink of war. In the process of organizing peace negotiations, the ship’s crew uncovers a sinister plot.
Dan Martin
, Star Trek: Resurgence Lead Writer
The developers assure that despite the fact that in general the players will have a common story, the choices they make will have consequences: the plot may begin to develop according to a scenario unfavorable for the player, or one of the characters may die. nine0003
First Officer Rydek gameplay
Ambassador Spock will appear among other characters in the game, which was already announced in the first trailer. According to the developers, they had to conduct «hundreds of auditions» in order to find an actor with a voice similar to the voice of Leonard Nimoy, who died in 2015, the canonical performer of the role of Spock.
