Standoff 2 FN FAL Rifle Guide: Overview of Features, Efficient Game Tactics and Available Skins

The FN FAL Rifle is not very popular among players. Perhaps such an attitude towards it has developed because of the name — AK in our country is considered a cult weapon, and M-ki have long been firmly entrenched in the minds as the main competitor to the domestic machine gun. FN FAL stays away from this opposition.

However, low popularity does not mean that the weapon is bad. FN FAL has some cool perks — we’ll cover them in the guide. We will also tell you what skins are currently available for the rifle and what characteristics it has.

FN FAL stats

FN FAL is a very cheap rifle with characteristics close to AKR12. It features a low rate of fire and high recoil. With one volley, only the first shot hits the target exactly — the other two lie higher. To increase the accuracy of shooting, you need to handle the rifle in two ways:

• aim at the solar plexus so that the last shot reaches the enemy’s head;
• to control shooting by moving the barrel in the opposite direction to the recoil.

Both ways will require you to practice. It is better to master them together in order to use depending on the provided cases.

Due to the reduced rate of fire, the FN FAL does not need ammo control. In practice, we did not have situations when the machine went into discharge right in the middle of a firefight with one or two enemies.

An FN FAL shot at an unprotected head from 20 meters inflicts 120 damage to an opponent. Given the good armor penetration, a protected target will be killed with headshots from just two shots — this is a good result.

How to play with FN FAL?

In terms of performance in combat, the FN FAL is on par with the FAMAS, an underrated rifle on the special forces side. It will be slightly weaker than the AKR and M4 in open combat, but if you have cover and the ability to retreat, it will show its best.

Please note that the optimal distance for its use is medium. Approximately 10-20 meters from which you can comfortably work on targets. Don’t let enemies get any closer, as the FN FAL’s reduced rate of fire will prevent you from shooting them quickly.

For example, an enemy with P90 will easily put bullets in your head and send you to rest until the next round. And it doesn’t matter that the P90 has low damage — everything close to it will fly right on target.

Letting enemies go too far is also not worth it. For example, duel with snipers or opponents with M4 is not for you. There are too many risks, because you will be dealing with high-precision weapons that shoot without spread. Better get close, look for good cover and work from it.

How to play against opponents with FN FAL?

Remember that this rifle has a wide spread of bullets. Even if the enemy shoots in short bursts, then you have a chance to dodge bullets and survive. Don’t get within comfortable range for the FN FAL: try to stay within 3-7 meters if you’re playing with submachine guns, or go more than 20 meters if you have M-ki or sniper rifles.

What about those who play with AKR? Please note that FN FAL has approximately the same recoil parameters. That is, ceteris paribus, the chance to hit the opponent will be the same. But the power advantage remains with the AKR — even if you go into an aggressive exchange, you are more likely to emerge victorious.

Conclusion

FN FAL will be a good alternative to not reach the money in the previous round . The assault rifle is moderately powerful, has a comfortable rate of fire and high armor-piercing capability. Just two accurate shots are enough to send the opponent to watch the game from the side.
