FIFA 22 Ultimate TOTS is the last hurrah for this year’s end-of-season promo, celebrating the best players across the entire event. Here’s who’s included in this year’s Ultimate TOTS.
FIFA 22 TOTS is drawing to a close and it’s certainly made quite the impact so far. FUT fans have been treated to some insane cards from the best players in the Premier League, Bundesliga, and more.
But we’re not quite done yet, as EA likes to take a final victory lap with Ultimate TOTS, the big finale honoring the best that the TOTS promo has to offer.

Ultimate TOTS is the swansong for this year’s event.
FIFA 22 Ultimate TOTS revealed
Following leaks of the full Ultimate TOTS lineup ahead of time, EA revealed the official roster on June 10. The final squad featured the same 23 players as the leaks, lining up exactly with what we expected ahead of time.

What is FIFA 22 Ultimate TOTS?
After all of the individual teams have been and gone, Ultimate TOTS brings the best players from across the event back into packs for one final week. This gives players their last chance to some of FIFA 22’s best cards and earn big coins in the process.

It is primarily made up of stars from the five major leagues; Premier League, Bundesliga, LaLiga, Ligue 1, and Serie A. This isn’t necessarily the 15 top-rated cards, instead, the best players in each position usually return, from goalkeepers all the way to strikers.

FIFA 22 Ultimate TOTS release date
EA Sports
The Premier League will make up a large portion of the Ultimate TOTS.
EA confirmed ahead of time that Ultimate TOTS would round off this year’s event, getting underway on Friday, June 10. The returning cards replaced the Serie A TOTS in packs at 6 PM BST and will remain there for an entire week until June 17.

On June 17, the Ultimate TOTS will leave packs and be replaced by whichever promo EA has lined up next, so act fast if you want to earn one of the game’s best cards.
FIFA 22 Ultimate TOTS predictions
While the individual leagues are still being released every week, it’s tough to pick out the players that should make up the most prestigious squad. We’re still waiting to see every player that could possibly make the cut.

However, certain superstars were almost guaranteed to show up in their domestic TOTS, and their upgrade should have been enough to see them sneak into the Ultimate TOTS as well.

All you need to know about FIFA 22 TOTS
The Team of the Season promo in FIFA 22 has started! During this limited time event you can get your hands on the best players from this season. Every week a new Team of the Season will be released with the best performing players from various leagues including the Premier League, Bundesliga, LaLiga Santander and more. We’ve summarized everything you need to know so you won’t miss out on anything during FIFA 22 TOTS!
What is FIFA 22 TOTS?
As its name suggests, the Team of the Season promo is a tribute to the best players of this season. The TOTS event will introduce several new player cards for FIFA Ultimate Team based on the performance of players throughout the season.
The most consistent performers of the season will be nominated for the Team of the Season, for various leagues including the Premier League, Bundesliga and LaLiga Santander. As a FIFA player, you can then vote for your favorites from a shortlist. Based on these votes, the final teams will be composed.
When does FIFA 22 TOTS start?
The FIFA 22 TOTS promo will officially kick off on April 29. On this day the first TOTS squad will be announced: the Community Team of the Season. This squad will consist of the best players from all competitions and will be chosen by the community from a shortlist of 100 nominated players. Although this first TOTS squad will not be announced until 29 April, you can already vote for various TOTS squads from all the major leagues, starting from 17 April. The FIFA 22 TOTS voting timeline is as follows:
- April 17-20: Voting for the Community TOTS
- April 22-25: Voting for the Premier League TOTS
- April 27 — May 1: Voting for the Bundesliga TOTS
- May 3-6: Voting for the LaLiga Santander TOTS
After all votes are counted, the final teams will be announced.

The TOTS squads are released on Fridays and Sundays at 19:00 CEST (Dutch time).

EA SPORTS™ Interview — DJ/Producer Mike Relm
Los Angeles-based DJ/director Mike Relm is best known for his remixes and mashups of movie trailers and other videos he posts on his YouTube channel and performs live. As the music for the FIFA 18 trailer at Gamescom 2017, he used his cover of Blue Monday by New Order. Relm told EA how he creates his music, how he got his start posting remixes on YouTube, and how he made music with lots of FIFA 18 samples.0003
EA SPORTS™: How did you get started remixing?
MR: I’ve been DJing for 20 years, and about 13 years ago I got into video scratching. At that time, Pioneer was the leader in this technology — they had a special DVD turntable. I thought, «Wow, I know what can be done with this!» I had a bunch of prepared clips — I hoped that somehow they would be useful to me.
People were already starting to use video samples, but I wanted to make real scratches, to do exactly the same manipulations with them as with sound and music.
And when this DVD technology appeared, I immediately rushed into battle. I toured with it, used it in my shows, and then YouTube started. I wanted to convey in this online service what I did live at my concerts, because scratches that look great at a concert will not necessarily look good at home on a computer monitor. And I finally got the opportunity to do something that does not work live. When you go to a hip-hop show, you don’t watch the trailer, you need music.
And now I do a lot of remixes of films for which I work with dialogue or sound, and combine the sounds of this film into a song or composition.
EA SPORTS™: Did you do some commercials for director Edgar Wright when you started working with him?
MR: My first job for him was a remix of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World — the idea came out of nowhere, I didn’t even know Edgar at the time.
Then he tweeted me and when Armageddon came out he contacted me and asked if I could do a remix to complete his Cornetto trilogy.
And I did this remix, which included «Shaun the Zombies», «Hot Hop» and «Armageddian». And one of my tracks was a cover of a Blue Monday song because of the scene in Sean where they throw records and name the artists. There, Sean says: “No-no-no, don’t throw this one!”. Even fighting off zombies, he didn’t want to ruin Blue Monday. And I thought that Blue Monday would fit perfectly here, because in Armageddon, blue is a very important color. And in general, I always liked this song — it’s a classic dance track.
EA SPORTS™: Did you also remix for «Baby Driver» — commissioned by Edgar Wright or yourself?
MP: I made it with Edgar Wright and Sony, which is why I had access to so much footage. The entire film was at my disposal. It was almost dishonest — I could take whatever I wanted from there, only I had to refrain from spoilers, of course.
Edgar is passionate about remix culture and working with him is always a great experience.
EA SPORTS™: How did you end up working on FIFA 18?
MP: I was approached by people from EA, they saw my remix of «Baby Driver» and other works. They wanted something high-energy to come out, not just stick a top 40 song in the trailer or something like that. And they wanted the sound to be timeless and beyond the borders of countries and cultures. And then they wanted to use my version of Blue Monday, so I say yes, of course. This version is very different from the original [for the video of the Cornetto trilogy], but there are similarities. The spirit is the same.
EA SPORTS™: So the customer wanted something that fit FIFA but with your style and vision?
MR: Yes, and it seems to me that it’s even good that I had to work with the commercial. The thing is, when I sample something, I do it in my particular style, because the things I use should work.
But only certain rhythms work, and I think that this helped the FIFA project, because the samples from the game fit perfectly on my Blue Monday cover, thus creating a song. The concept was just that — I thought about the emotions of the audience and the players, took a lot of different sounds of the game and combined them. It turned out very well.
EA SPORTS™: Can you talk about the process behind the FIFA 18 trailer?
MP: At the very beginning, I split my version of Blue Monday into tracks so that I could play them separately, and I started experimenting, adding a lot of things. I first took a couple kick sounds from FIFA and made rough sketches of rhythms to see what I could do with adding and removing other sounds. I added this “ring” when the ball hits the post — such a plan sounds. For example, the sounds of the players, which they emit from tension, and screams. Even the sound when the goalkeeper catches the ball. And if all these sounds are not “kneaded” in the right way, they begin to sound the same. Often it is just like the sound of a ball hitting somewhere. And EA did a great job of amplifying the sounds — everything starts slowly and reaches quite epic proportions, it was very cool to work with. There were so many gigabytes of material that it was just crazy to go.
EA SPORTS™: How was working with audio only different from your usual work with video remixes?
MP: I usually do sound editing when I have a picture. In Baby Driver, when he’s skidding down the road, I control the picture the way I control the sound, and I know exactly what it’s going to look like. If something does not work out, I can not touch the sound at all. There are such rather strange “swings” where you often have to look for a compromise. Often when working with films, as in Baby Driver, for example, I can use large amounts of material, so there are no difficulties. Sometimes, when a movie is tightly cut, it’s hard to remix without having the whole movie at your disposal. When working on FIFA, I didn’t touch the picture at all, it turned out that they adjusted it to the sound that I created. Here’s a headbutt, here’s a tackle. And then they did the animation — it turned out not at all like what I usually do, but everything is very logical. Because they have options — if I hear the name of the player, they can choose the right one.
EA SPORTS™: What else was different about working exclusively with sound on this project?
