The first thing you should do when approaching The Domed City is to activate Teleporter. This is a particularly important Teleporter, as its activation activates the Teleporter in The Hort in Clerics land — Ignadon. This allows you immediately to get into the third faction area good low level exploration.

01 The Domed City Teleporter

At this point is better for you to visit Clerics than Domed City. So use Teleporter and go to The Hort.

04

Gregor

Locked Out

Gregor guards the entrance to the Domed City. No one is being allowed into the city at the moment. He suggests that if I need trade, or safety should find a group who has set up camp nearby.

Gregor does not want to let you in The Domed City. You have to find a way to get to the city.

In Domed City there is competition between factions that will lead to a crisis.

You will need ID Card to get in.

  • You can talk with Hunter in (06) and get [A New ID] — to help Outlaws
  • (better for me) You can talk with Gustav and get [Helping Hands] — to help Clerics. Killing Outlaws could be a little problem, but try it.

05

Gustav

Helping Hands

Gustav wants to get rid of some Outlaws from the Domed City.

Hunter

A New ID

Hunter can get me into the Domed City, but I will need to locate Wick, who has the Counterfeit ID cards he needs. Wick took the ID cards when he went looking for plunder in the ruins Northwest of Hunter’s camp. I will have to find Wick to obtain an ID card, then Hunter can modify it for me.

You can also betray Gustav and conspire with Hunter.

Warmongering

Hunter suggested that I don’t get involved in Gustav’s power games. I should surrender him to the Outlaws.

Energy Regulator

Security Measures

Erich wants me to deliver a replacement part for the Dome to his technician Lutz. It’s a vital component needed to keep the Dome’s shield running.

  • Give Energy Regulator to Riley for Outlaws
  • Do not give Energy Regulator to Riley, deliver it to Lutz for Clerics

08

After your talk to Erich for [Security Measures] you will meet Riley here.

Riley

He will ask you for Energy Regulator, if you support Outlaws and Separatists you should give it to him.

The Back Door

The Outlaw Riley knows I am supposed to deliver an energy regulator to a Cleric technician. He asked me to deliver his modified version instead so that he has a way of escaping the City if he needs it.

If you support Clerics and Berserkers, you should not give it to him.

You can find Riley later in (10)

09

Lutz — for [Security Measures]

Impervious

Erich wants me to deliver an energy regulator to the technician Lutz. It’s needed to maintain the shield.

Return to Erich for reward.

Lutz after you talk with Darrell [Making Contact]

The Cleric Lutz is Worried about the lack of Comms with the Hort. Lutz tasked me with recalibrating the antenna at the relay station in the northeast.

Encrypted Communication

Lutz wants to reestablish contact with the Hort. He gave me the coordinates of a comms tower that needs to be recalibrated.

Elex is everything. Everyone wants it. Everyone needs it. It has us all in its teeth.

But, what is it? How has it come to control so much of our World? I used to simply accept these things, but now, now have questions.

But, everything is different now. I can’t be the only one asking these questions. There must be others who have already begun to wonder. People who are closer to the answers than l am.

Caja is a powerful Berserker mage with an insight into the role Elex is playing on Magalan. Should convince her to join me.

Vacancy

Vivian needs capable technicians. She has three people in mind for the job: Rorik, Nyra and Darrell. I am to scrutinize these three and make a recommendation to her about which of them is best suited for the job.

Rorik (15)

Rorik isn’t sure he has the technical experience the Clerics need.

Rorik has a real enthusiasm for technology, though there could be more experienced options than him.

Rorik doesn’t have a problem working with the Clerics.

Rorik has had trouble taking orders from above. He isn’t the best at reading and writing.

Nyra (14)

Nyra will only work for the Clerics if she is paid in advance.

Nyra has a high degree of technological knowledge. It’s hard to imagine finding a better technical candidate than her in the Domed City. But there is the question of her loyalty.

Nyra thinks the Clerics do good work but their logic is not flawless. She would rather see the city under the control of the Albs.

I paid Nyra an advance. She is willing to work for the Clerics as a Technician.

Darrell (12)

Darrell wants the job at any price and he’s not afraid to say it. He is prepared to pay me handsomely if I tell Vivian to select him.

Darrell doesn’t know anything about technology, but he claims to be a quick learner.

Darrell made it clear he considers the job a way to get closer to them. He and the other Outlaws are afraid of what the Clerics are planning.

  • Recommend Rorik if you want to support Berserkers
  • Recommend Nyra if you want to support Separatists
  • Recommend Darrell if you want to support Outlaws

ELEX: Abessa side quests

Contents

Locked up

One of the side quests that can be unlocked while staying in Abessa. Upon completion, you will have permanent access to Domed City. You can enter the city in several ways.

How to unlock: Talk to Gregor at the entrance to Domed City.

A guard named Gregor belongs to the cleric faction and guards the main entrance to Domed City. You will learn from him that only people with an identity card can enter the city. To solve this problem, go to a small camp east of the city.

You should meet Hunter there. It will inform you about the possibility of getting a fake ID. Vic has such credentials. Travel north from the camp. You have to get to the hunter’s hut located on top of the hill, but be careful as there will be a lot of rats there. They are not very cruel, but if they are surrounded by a group, they can not beat them a little.

After the battle, enter the hut. Inside you will find dead hunters. Find Vic’s corpse and a set of fake IDs (200XP).

Return the ID cards to Hunter (400XP) and listen to his plan to get you into town. You’ll get a Fake Cargo ID and a Cooper ID for one of the people in town. Now you can return to Gregor and choose a course of action:

  • Show fake ID. Tell him how you got the card so quickly. Choose any of the answers except the one that says the card is fake. Gregor will let you enter Domed City (700XP).
  • Inform Gregor about the process of creating fake IDs and hand over the ones you got from Hunter. As a reward, you will receive a real map, but now you will not be able to fulfill Hunter’s request and help Cooper, who is in the city.

If you entered Domed City with a fake card, then meet with Cooper. Give him the card you got from Hunter (300XP and 80 Elexit). After that, you can return to Hunter and get ninety-five Elexit.

Helping Hand

One of the side quests that can be unlocked while in Abessa. You must solve the problem with the outcasts who have camped near the city. You can get rid of them or take their side.

How to unlock: Talk to Gustav at the entrance to Domed City.

Guardian Gustav of the Cleric faction guards the side gates of Domed City. He asks you to get rid of the outcast faction members who are camped east of the city.

Go to the camp and talk to Hunter. The first option is to fulfill Gustav’s request and attack the outcasts (you can perform a surprise attack before talking to them). For each enemy they give one hundred points of experience (they are not so strong, but they attack often). When all the outcasts die, you will receive four hundred experience points. Return to Gustav and receive a reward — two hundred experience points and two hundred and eighty eleksits.

In an alternative denouement, you can agree with Hunter’s proposal during the conversation. He will ask you to destroy Gustav. Return to the gate and ask Gustav for help with the outcast problem. Escort to the camp and attack him. Search his body (225XP and 367 Elexit) and then talk to Hunter for 72 Elexit.

Strange Mechanism

One of the most important side quests in Domed City. Upon completion of this task, you will be able to get into a secret organization called «Claws», which very much resembles a thieves’ guild. After finding the hideout of the Talons and meeting with them, you will be able to complete missions during which you need to steal valuable items.

How to unlock: Talk to Vito in Domed City.

Vito is the owner of a bar in Domed City and during your first meeting with him you can get a Strange Key which must be used to solve the puzzle. With this key, go to the western part of the city. Find a free brick with a lock inside it. Use the key and you will open the hatch leading to the sewers (100XP).

Go down the stairs and start exploring the sewers. There you can find the hideout of an organization called the Claws. The entrance to the Talons hideout is guarded by Darius and you have several ways to get inside:

  • Tell Darius that you have solved the riddle with the mysterious key you received from Vito.
  • If you completed a bonus task called Tramp Confederacy in the Fort (outcasts) in which you had to help the Rat get promoted to head of security. At the end of this quest, he gives you a rat claw. Show it to Darius.
  • If you meet Katta on the berserk island and help her clear her name, you will receive Katta’s claw as a reward. Show it to Darius.

Warning: You can get into the sewers by missing the meeting with Vito and not using the key. Near Domed City there is an entrance to a cave. This cave leads to the sewers and if you go there you will find the hideout of the claws.

SPOILER! An alternative sewer entrance would be especially useful if you allowed for a scenario in which Domed City was attacked and captured by the Albs. This passage allows you to avoid collisions with the Albs located inside the city.

Eventually you will be able to talk to Hector and join the Talons (don’t mention the clerks in the conversation because you will be attacked right away). You will be given a new side quest called «On Behalf of the Claws» — you need to steal valuable items. As a reward for this, you will receive a claw, five hundred experience, a key, and access to your chest for items.

Note: Two very valuable items can be found in the hideout. An amulet (+5 strength, +5 agility, +2 combat) and an Archon rifle (a legendary energy weapon). And you can also rob all the chests of members of this faction. To do this, you need a well-trained pickpocketing skill and a quick reaction so as not to get caught. These chests will contain a lot of valuable items.

On behalf of the claws

A side quest related to organizing the claws, somewhat like a thieves’ guild. This quest becomes available after joining this faction and during the quest you must steal valuable items from NPCs.

How to unlock: Talk to Hector in Domed City and join the Talons.

SPOILER! If your actions result in the Albs taking over Domed City, the Talon hideout will only be accessible through the secret entrance from the southern sewers.

First get the first mission by meeting Hector in the hideout. Hector will give you some items and a key to contracts, or rather, to a chest.

In the first task, you need to go to the village of Goliet and find Oran, the owner of the tavern. Sneak up on him (best done when he leaves the tavern) and then use your pickpocket skill to steal the cellar key from Oran. Find one of the two entrances that lead to the basement located under the tavern. First you need to find the hidden lock. Then use the key to unlock the passage and get into the basement hideout. Retrieve all stolen goods. They can be placed in any loot boxes. Return to the hideout. You will receive congratulations from Darius and Hector, as well as another mission.

In the second mission, you need to go to the clerics’ hideout — Hort. Once you reach the city, head to the top floor (use the ladder or the jetpack). The drawings you need are in an unguarded room.

In the third mission, you need to go to the Cathedral of the Clerics. There you need to access the archives in the basement of the Cathedral. Wait until Carl leaves his post for evening prayers or use the console if you have at least three points in crafting skill. Thus, you can add yourself to the list of persons entitled to enter the archives. The last option is to join the cleric faction and get the rank of acolyte or higher. Here you need to find four research documents. Two of them can be found on the shelves in the archive. The remaining two documents are with the NPC. You need to steal these documents using the pickpocket skill. Place the stolen items in one of the crates and return to the Claw hideout. Now you can get three new tasks.

In the fourth mission, go to Hank’s bar. You need to study one of the rooms. Wake up at night or quickly run into the room, grab a recording device and run away before you get caught and attacked by an angry bartender.

In the fifth mission, head west of the Fort and take cover in the lava gorge. You will have to kill your enemies. Be careful because one of them is using a flamethrower. You can use explosives or quickly approach the enemy so that he cannot use it. After killing the enemies (three hundred and seventy-five experience points), find Slater’s body and take Logan’s notes. Read them to find out the combination from the duke’s safe (8641).

Note: the code in the safe can be found without a fight with bandits. Just run to the corpse and take the notes.

Go to the Duke’s bunker in the Fort and go up to the top floor. You can kill the guard there, but I would not advise doing this if you don’t want problems. It is better to use the bed and wait for the night. The guard will leave the post, and you can enter the duke’s chambers. Use the code to collect ten natural eleks and three hundred and fifty eleksits (two hundred experience points). In addition, there will be additional things inside, including the legendary shotgun.

In the sixth mission, you need to find Crazy Bob in the fort and rob him. Make sure no one is watching you steal from Bob. You need to pull out the Crazy Bob Key.

You can now place all stolen items in the chests and receive a message from N. Go back to Talon’s hideout and talk to Hector (100XP). He will tell you that you have completed all the tasks that his group could offer. After completing this long series of tasks, you will receive two thousand experience and Hector’s key (there will be a lot of eleksit inside, for example).

Discussion in Abessa

This is an uncommon quest that is automatically added to your journal. This will happen a week after you complete all the main side quests available in Domed City (the ones where you need to decide which faction you want to support).

How to unlock: is unlocked automatically during the game.

Depending on what happened in the city during your absence, you will need to return to Domed City or to a camp located nearby. The last option will become available if you help deactivate the dome protecting the city and thereby allow the Albs to attack and capture it. Regardless of the course of events, you can talk to the survivor and learn first-hand information (500 experience).

  • The most important factor that can lead to the destruction of the city is to allow Riley to reprogram the power regulator. It will tell you that the regulator is faulty and turn off the entire dome. This will make the city an easy target for the Albs.
  • Another important factor is how much help you have given the various factions in the side quests. For example, if you help members of the outcast faction in the city, they will strengthen their position in the city and organize an armed uprising against the clerics.

Bounty Hunter

A side quest in which you need to find the records of one bounty hunter. The entries can be found in random order and the quest will start after you find one of the entries.

How to unlock: is automatically unlocked after finding one of the entries.

The first entry is inside the house, which is located east of the camp in the center of Edan. Use the jetpack to get to the top floor. The record will lie on a table in one of the huts.

The second entry is in one of Goliet’s huts. Broken weapons can also be found in this hut. Picking up a record will be considered theft, so do it at night.

The third entry is in the Fort. Head to the southern part of the fort, there will be a bar. The record will lie on one of the tables near the entrance to the bar.

The fourth entry is inside one of the buildings in Hort. This building is next to Balder’s office. The record is in a small vault guarded by a robot. Lure the guard into another room to retrieve the item without any hassle.

After finding all the records, you will have a new marker on the map. It is located in the Xacor location. I do not advise you to meddle there if you have an underdeveloped character. You need to find a huge tower. Head there. Inside you will find a bounty hunter and the quest will be completed after listening to the conversation (1100XP).

Professional Bandit

How to unlock: Talk to Riley in Domed City.

Riley is in the Outcast faction, and he may ask you to deal with Brabak of the Berserker faction. Brabak must be inside the bar. You have two options:

Provoke Brabak to attack you. He is an easy opponent, but try not to hit anyone in the bar (three hundred experience points). After the battle, you must force Brabak to stop bullying the outcasts (you can also ask for money if you have twenty battle points). Return to Riley for 200XP and 80 Elexit.

Talk to Brabak and promise him that you will intimidate Riley. Defeat Riley in hand-to-hand combat (200XP). After humiliating Riley, you can return to Brabak and get two hundred experience and one hundred and fifty eleksits.

Making contact

How to unlock: Talk to Darrell in Domed City.

Outcast Darrell will ask you for help. We need to investigate the communication problems of the clerics in Hort. Go to Lutz. He works next to the force field on one of the walls. You can tell him that you know about the problem from one of the outcasts, or you can hide this information. In both cases, you need to deal with the relay station. Return to Darrell and tell him everything you learned. He will give you the device and ask you to install it on the antenna.

The station is northeast of Domed and south of North Abessa Converter. There will be some Albs there, but you don’t have to fight them. Focus on lift and antenna.

Once at the top, head towards the console. Now you can choose what to do:

Repair the antenna and do not install Darrell’s device (four hundred experience points). Return to Lutz in Domed City and tell him that you have completed the mission. For this you will receive two hundred experience points and one hundred and twelve Elexit.

Repair the antenna and install Darrell’s device (400XP). First Go back to Darrell in Domed City and tell him you’ve placed a bug — two hundred experience points and one hundred and fifty eleksit. Now go to Lutz and get one hundred and twelve Elexit from him.

Right to stay

How to unlock: Talk to Fenk in Domed City.

Fenk is an Albian Separatist who knows Jax. He can give you a quest during which you need to stop the conflict between him and Kaleb, a berserker trying to drive the separatists out of Domed City.

If you want to help the separatists, then go to Jorg, who, according to Fenk, can help solve this problem. You must convince Yorg to drop the charges (two hundred experience points). When it’s over, you will receive five hundred experience points and five hundred eleksits. Thus, the separatists will remain in this city.

If you want to help the Berserkers, first talk to Jorg or go directly to Caleb. Promise him that you will shut up Yorg if he wants to change his (false) testimony. Talk to Yorg (200XP) and tell him that he must follow Caleb’s plan (200XP). Return to Caleb and get a hundred experience. Thus, the separatists will be expelled from the city.

Warning! This may block some quests or options from completing them.

Shadow Deals

How to unlock: Talk to Paige in Domed City.

Paige will give you a quest to help strengthen the outcast faction. She wants you to help bring that faction’s weapons to Domed City. You can immediately go to the appointed place or betray Paige’s trust and first go to the clerics and tell Alois everything. She will ask you to pick up this delivery.

Regardless of your choice, you must go to a small camp northeast of the city, where there will be a separatist named Radok. The conversation will be interrupted by clerics. You can help Radok kill them (Alois won’t know about this unless you plan to work with him) or betray Radok and attack him. After the fight, you will receive seven hundred experience points, seventy-five eleksitov and weapons from Radok, or if he is dead, then read his report from the chest. You have two options for completing this quest:

  • Bring explosives to Paige and help outcasts. You will receive 400XP and 300 Elexit.
  • Return to Alois and give the explosives to him or report Radok’s death. Gain 600 XP and 150 Elexit.

Security measures

How to unlock: Talk to Eric in Domed City.

Engineer Eric will stop the hero while trying to get into the upper part of the city (use four skills in crafting to show your knowledge of technology and get an additional twenty-five experience points). He will give you the device and ask you to take it to Lutz. This device ensures that the energy shield protecting the city will continue to operate at full capacity.

Lutz is on the wall, but halfway through you will be intercepted by Riley and offer an alternative solution in which he will reprogram the energy regulator. After that, it can be partially disabled. You can negotiate a price right away (maximum three hundred eleksit if you have four points in charisma) or refuse his offer. Go to Lutz and give him the regulator (two hundred experience points). If the device was altered by Riley, then Lutz might suspect it. Tell him the truth or lie. For this you will receive four hundred experience points. Return to Erik for your reward — 200XP and 150 Elexit.

IMPORTANT NOTICE — SPOILER! Allowing Riley to reprogram the regulator could seriously malfunction the dome and render the city defenseless. As a result of this, the Albs will appear and capture the city.

Job

How to unlock: Talk to Vivian in Domed City.

Vivian is looking for a technician and you can help in this search. Before you go and talk about work, I advise you to listen to the full story of this character in order to get an additional two hundred points of experience. Potential candidates:

  • Rorik from the berserk faction. You will find out that he is not qualified enough. Upon returning to Vivian, you can choose any reason, and she will hire him. You will receive 200XP and 230 Elexit.
  • Nura from the Albian separatist faction. She is best suited for this job and will require five hundred Elexit to use her skills. You can pay her or refuse. Upon coming to Vivian, you can tell her that Nura is the best candidate, but she will not want to pay five hundred eleksits, but if your character does, she will return the money. You are 200XP and 230 Elexit + 270 Elexit if you paid Nura.
  • Darrell is from the outcast faction. He is not qualified enough. Upon returning to Vivian, you can choose any reason, and she will hire him. You need to lie that he has technological knowledge. You will receive 200XP and 230 Elexit.

Smart Game

How to unlock: Talk to Gottfried in Domed City.

This is a very simple quest that is activated by talking to Gottfried on the roof of the main building in Domed City. The hero’s arrival will distract Gottfried. The correct answer is 43 degrees east. For this, you will receive one hundred experience points and twenty-five eleksits.

North Abessa Converter

How to unlock: automatically after reaching North Abessa Converter.

It is recommended that you start this quest after meeting Sestak in the South Abessa Transformer during the main quest, because only then will you be able to obtain the access codes needed to disable the Transformers in other parts of the world.

Unfortunately, the transformer in Northern Abessa (northeast of Domed City) is heavily guarded. There are very strong Albs in the group with cars. If you don’t want to fight them, you can use the jetpack and avoid the fight. You must carefully approach the entrance to the tower and lure the soldiers to a secluded place.

Enter the converter and continue to destroy the Albs. Use the elevators to get to new floors. Eventually you will reach the boss. Avoid his strong attacks and continue to slowly lower your health points (one hundred and seventy-five units).

After the battle, find a large red console. Use it to disable the transducer (1000XP).

Warning: You must examine the roof platform before leaving the inverter. There will be many valuable items. For example, energy weapons and eleks drinks (free bonuses to the development of your character).

Captured by robbers

How to unlock: Talk to Albert next to the dam.

This quest is activated the moment you reach the east side of the dam. It is located next to the South Abessa Converter. Approach the clerics who are standing near the dam and talk to Egon and Albert. You can offer your help in eliminating the bandits that appeared near the platinum. At the end of the conversation, you can decide how you will attack: alone or in a group with clerics. The second option is better as you will kill the enemies faster.

Go to the end of the dam. The enemies are inside and next to the destroyed gas station. You can attack them in any order, but remember that their leader is stronger than the others. Be aware that some enemies can use ranged weapons. If you are accompanied by clerics, then forget about using grenades, flamethrowers, or other attacks that can harm them.

Find Albert after the battles and get four hundred experience points. I advise you to search the troupes of enemies, because they have valuable things. And you can also pick up the detonator and give it to Albert. You will not be rewarded for this.
