The Izanami Forge is one of the four Black Armory forges, one of two that came from the Exodus Black. It is located in The Tor on Nessus, having been stolen from the wreckage of the Exodus Black by the Vex. It is overseen by the Sublimating Mind, Forge Warden.

Inspired by the Satou Tribe and their Japanese roots, the Izanami Forge specializes in crafting handling-based weapons, including The Spiteful Fang Bow and the Blast Furnace Pulse Rifle.

Walkthrough[edit]

As in the other Forges Ignitions, the main goal of the activity is to throw Radiant Batteries at the central Forge until it is charged. The activity is split into three phases: two phases titled «Charge the forge», and a final, boss phase titled «Defeat the Forge Warden». Both charging phases have a timer which initially begins at one minute, whereas the final phase begins at two minutes. The timer can be increased by defeating Phased and other enemies, where Elite enemies provide 4 seconds and Major enemies provide 10 seconds upon death.

Due to the wide gapped landscape surrounding the forge, players must either jump across or traverse using the lifts on the corners of the isles getting between each island platform to kill Phased enemies, collect Radiant Batteries, and tossing them across to the center island with the forge to charge.

Charge the Forge I[edit]

During the first phase of the activity, the Forge accepts Radiant Batteries through any part of its hitbox. Elite Hobgoblins will spawn on top of both the far left and far right islands for sniper fire, while groups of Harpies and Phased Goblins spawn constantly across the map. Meanwhile, Elite Phased Minotaurs with Void shields will often spawn and chase down the nearest player with their Torch Hammer and melee.

It is highly recommend to have each player in the fireteam positioned on a different island. While Phased enemies are not spawned as frequently at the center, the players at the right and left islands must kill Phased Goblins and Minotaurs, collect their Radiant Batteries, and toss them to across to the center island for the remaining player to collect and charge the forge.

Charge the Forge II[edit]

Once 20 Batteries have been thrown at the Forge, the second phase starts with an initial timer of one minute. The hitbox of the Forge changes: the three arms will open slightly, and only the glowing main body will accept Batteries. Swarms of Fanatics will spawn around the map, which detonate in close proximity and leaves pools of radiolarian fluid for area denial. Major Phased Minotaurs and Elite Phased Harpies with Vex Laser Rifles will also appear in groups of two or three. More dangerously, Major Cyclops also spawn that can inflict major damage if they are not destroyed immediately.

Izanami (イザナミ) is the ultimate Dojutsu of the Uchiha clan. [2]

Use of

Genjutsu that affects the target through physical sensations shared between it and the user to apply an illusion. [3] Similar to Izanagi, in exchange for the temporary ability granted to the user, the Sharingan it uses becomes blind and loses its light forever. According to Itachi, this technique and Izanagi go together, however, unlike the latter, which can change fate, Izanami «decides it». [4]

Activation Requirements

To start the technique, after selecting any arbitrary moment, the user uses their Sharingan to memorize their physical sensations with the opponent like a photograph (represented as: A ). The user is then required to intentionally replicate those sensations and memorize the moment in the same way with their Sharingan (represented as: A’ ). Izanami bridges and bridges these identical bodily sensations (A and A’) and the passage of time between them. The user can also use their Sharingan to memorize a variety of sensations (represented as B, C, and so on) and these sensations will be used when Izanami is activated. Also, it is not necessary for the user to repeat A with A’ to start Izanami. In the same way, it can replicate B with B’ or C with C’. The more sensations they remember, the greater the chance of using Izanami on a human, and the more sensations the victim will experience each time the cycle repeats. [5] [6]

Aftermath

While under the effect of a technique, the target stands still while the cycle of events constantly repeats itself in their head. [7] Each time the loop is repeated, any physical damage is reset to the initial degree of the loop, although the remnants of severed appendages do not disappear. [8] The illusions of the user and those they fight alongside also lose damage such as the blindness that comes with using Izanami. Even when the victim is aware of his position and tries to act differently, he is not able to significantly change or escape from the inevitable progression of events, since the illusions he is fighting also quickly adapt to the changes to make the victim again experience the learned sensations. However, since the technique was created to punish and save Izanagi’s users, the victim can avoid the endless loop if they acknowledge the real results of their actions and accept their fate. [9] In the anime, it was shown that there is no other way to undo this technique, even for those with perfect chakra control. The user’s illusion also has sentience, as shown with the illusionary Itachi shaking his head as Kabuto tried in vain to escape from the technique, not accepting his fate at first. [10] The illusion of the user and anyone fighting on their side also repeats their verbal actions, such as the illusionary Itachi telling the illusionary Sasuke not to leave him, an action that the real Itachi did as well. The user’s illusion will constantly urge the victim to take a closer look at themselves and admit their mistakes until they do so.

Creation

According to Itachi, there was a time when members of the Uchiha clan abused the ability granted to them by Izanagi, using the technique to simply avoid the unwanted results of their actions. The problem was minor if only one person used Izanagi, however if there were two or more of them, they would start fighting each other for the most favorable outcome. Thus, due to the fact that dojutsu users were immune to genjutsu, Izanami was created as a means of punishing such clan members, as well as to save them from their own arrogance. Encased in an unchanging cycle of events, the victim was forced to accept reality if he wanted to escape the illusion. However, due to the dangers associated with using an exit technique in actual combat, Izanami was classified as a kinjutsu. [11] In this way, ironically, Izanami became a genjutsu, applied not to enemies, but to allies who have gone astray while helping them find themselves.

Influence

Like many Sharingan techniques, this technique is named after the deity Shinto. In this case, it is Izanami, who, along with her brother and husband Izanagi, created the islands and other gods of Japan.

One of the most famous stories about Izanami tells how Izanagi went to Yomi, the realm of the dead, to bring her back after she died giving birth to the fire god of Shinto, Kagutsuchi. In Yomi, he manages to find Izanami and together they try to leave, however Izanagi shouldn’t have looked at her before they get out. Right at the exit, Izanagi turns around and sees her rotting form. Frightened, he flees from Yomi and blocked the cave. Izanami curses Izanagi, saying that he will kill 1000 people every day. In response, Izanagi says that 1,500 people will be born every day. In another version of the story, Izanami tells Izanagi to leave, however, he returns while she is sleeping and lights a fire that reveals her rotten form, forcing him to flee out of fear and barricade the exit.

After his failed attempt to retrieve Izanami, Izanagi washed himself in a stream. When he washed his left eye, Amaterasu was born, and when he did the same with his right, Tsukuyomi was born, and when his nose was born, Susanoo was born.

B: The Beginning. The Man Who Deceived Fate.: tina_rou — LiveJournal

The main thing is never to give up!

Suzaku, who chose his fate in the article «The Story of the Killer Father»

The story of this anime seems to be very confusing, and the main theme of the series does not lie at all on the surface. This is the theme of fate. From the story of Suzaku, we know perfectly well that a person forms his own destiny, but «B: The Beginning» desperately asserts the opposite: «the inevitability of fate.»

And so, over the centuries, the Black King and his companion are constantly born, go the same way and die in a strictly defined place. And although the prophecy is well known to everyone, not a single hero deviates from his intended role. Even the Black King himself was clearly told not to go to this sacred place under any circumstances, for he would die there. But he decides to fulfill his destiny and goes there. There was also a place in the prophecy for two «servants» who made sacrifices to the Black King, and their fates were connected with him. So which of the characters managed to deceive their fate?

Koku — Black King (in his supernatural form)
Koku lost his blade arm (right)

So, Koku, aka the Black King, doesn’t die. Why? Because his brother-murderer perfectly fulfilled the prophecy, and took away the blade-arm from Koku, but for some reason did not know about the existence of the blade-leg, from which he died. Why did all the gears, mechanisms and characters put into action earlier did not set the mechanism in motion and the prophecy was not fulfilled despite the fact that each played its intended role in it.

“On the 13th lunar night , elected by two servants, he received power, satellites and wings, and became the Black King. Having accomplished their mission, these servants offered him a blade of blue steel. “ Behead one of us ,” they said. The headless servant turned to dust and became one with the Black King, giving him a special power. The second servant became his wife and fought at his side over the assembly of Cremona, subsequently sharing the fate of the Black King, when the end came.

Kirisame — First servant and best friend (little Koku on the right)

The first to die is Koku’s friend, from whom the Black King cut off and took his hand. Koku realizes that he became the first servant.

Yuna — Second servant and wife of Koku (who is again on the right)

The second servant is Yuna’s girlfriend who will become his wife.

Hearing this story, Koku looks at his leg in surprise — there was no place for Izanami’s sacrifice in this story…

Many years after the creation of the Black King on behalf of a secret organization (who dream of fulfilling a prophecy), Izanami arrives. She sincerely tries to defeat Koku, for this is her task, but is not at all surprised when she becomes his victim. It is difficult to say whether she fought at full strength or surreptitiously succumbed. Here we reveal an important detail: Izanami was not indifferent to the Black King since childhood, and was jealous of his «wife».

«I will never forgive you for not choosing me» (and yes, Koku is still on the right)

After receiving a fatal blow, Izanami says important phrases:

«Take my leg, you’ll need it one day. »

“Touch Canopus. If you do this…”

Considering that the base of the secret organization is located directly under the star Canopus, in fact, they carry out a betrayal out of their feelings for Koku. Her words help Koku well:

1. Koku takes her leg and gains a secret weapon that was not mentioned in the prophecy.

2. Koku also gains an intuition that frankly guides him to survival. He hears Izanami’s words every time he is near the detective. The detective is the only one who can save the Black King and subsequently does so repeatedly. In fact, it is he who by all means helps Koku fight against his fate and provides useful information.

But Detective Keith is just a needle in a haystack out of billions of people that Koku doesn’t even look for because he doesn’t know it exists.

Thus, one must understand Izanami’s influence on the plot.

She had no place in the prophecy, which did not predict her existence and even more so the impact on the plot. It was never written there that Izanami would say words that would give away the location of the gang. Did it help Koku? No, he was never able to get there earlier and get ahead of the gang one step ahead, ending up on the aircraft only when the villains were already waiting for him there.

But it was by trusting intuition, which, thanks to the advice of loving Izanami, tuned in to the right way, Koku discovered the unconscious advantages that led him to the detective (which had saved his life earlier).

In addition, he unconsciously never used Izanami’s leg he received from her and only used the arm of the «first servant».

Due to this, even knowing about the death of Izanami and the presence of a special leg-blade, brother and other villains got used to the template that Koku showed them in their battles, overly trusted the prophecy. It was because of this that Brother Koku did not expect that Koku’s manner of fighting at the last and decisive moment for him would change dramatically. All thanks to the move of Izanami, who secretly changed the setting in advance and went against the Fate laid down by the authors. A fate in which there was no place for her.

Again they snatched victory from the hands -_- You will burn in hell!

This is not the first time the authors have created a world in which there is no way for some characters to win. We remember the character from the Keepers of Dreams — Kromeshnik, who has been fighting Fate for many centuries, trying to get his own little piece of happiness. And despite all the desperate attempts of Fate to limit all his possibilities and resources with the most dishonest rules and throw him out of the pages of history, Kromeshnik fights even in the most hopeless situations.

«Touch Canopus… If you do this…»

Izanami finds herself in the same situation, destined to die without meaning or reason, even without any special role. And the person so beloved to her heart, according to the invariable outlines of the prophecy, will very soon go into oblivion and she is unable to change the will of the plot.
