Trainer:

  1. Sie funktionieren meist nur mit einer bestimmten Version;
    eine andere Sprache oder ein Update führen oft dazu, daß der
    Trainer nicht funktioniert. Im schlimmsten Fall kann das Spiel abstürzen.
  2. Trainer ähneln einem Trojanischen Pferd, das andere Programme
    ausspioniert.

Synopsis

Command and Conquer: Generals offers to embody the general of one of the three existing armies:

  • in the United States Armed Forces
  • People’s Liberation Army (China)
  • Global Liberation Army (referred to in-game as Global Liberation Army [ GLA ])

The goal of China and the US is to eradicate the GLA and, conversely, the GLA wants to push the US and China out of the Arab-Muslim world (although no religion is supposed to be mentioned).

game system

The game is based on strategy and military management, unites three main factions (China, America and GLA (Global Liberation Army)), and also has 3 game modes:

  • «Campaign»: You lead your chosen faction through several offensive, defensive, or siege missions.
  • Skirmish: You will lead a faction against one or more (1-7) enemies on the map of your choice, but skirmish mode has the advantage that you will not have a limit to progress until the moment your enemies are defeated
  • «Multiplayer»: Through a stable internet connection, you will have access to servers where you can fight other people. These games will be harder or easier to win as you will not be facing an artificial intelligence but a human, so the decisions your enemies make will not always be the best, giving you a head start.

Factions

  • United States: The United States Army is known for its high technology and the importance of air support (a large part of the general’s capabilities is connected to the US Air Force). This faction’s superweapon is the particle cannon, a laser beamed to a satellite and returned to the battlefield, allowing the beam to be moved across the ground.
  • China: The Chinese army is notable for its impressive land army, the number of soldiers mistakenly called « Red Guards» «, as well as nuclear technology and the overuse of napalm. This faction’s superweapon is a nuclear missile that emits residual radiation that is dangerous to any unit in the field.
  • GLA: The GLA is notable for its limited resources (only light units that can be easily replaced) and the use of guerrilla warfare and terrorism, as well as bacteriological weapons. This faction’s superweapon is a series of Scud missiles that can contain bacteriological warheads.

Units

There are four types of units:

  • Soldiers trained in the barracks (except against testimony)
  • Vehicles built on the territory of the military-industrial complex / arms dealers (except for contraindications)
  • Aircraft manufactured at airports (except contraindications)
  • Uncontrolled units unlocked by shares

Promotions

Promotions open when the player gains experience. It starts at rank 1 star general (corresponds to rank brigadier general in the US Army) and ends with the rank of 5 star general (corresponding to the rank of army general ). Each promotion to a higher rank unlocks new promotions. The level scores are as follows:

  • General 1 star
  • General 3 stars
  • General 5 stars

The history of development

While other parts of the Command and Conquer series are declared as real-time strategy, Renegade is a first-person shooter game designed so that fans of the series can develop on a human scale in the universe of the series.

Synopsis

The story deals with the kidnapping of three of the International Defense Group’s top experts from Tiberium Research by the Brotherhood of Nod. The player leads commando Nick «Havock» Parker, who is sent to rescue the explorers.

Multiplayer

Multiplayer mode mixes FPS and RTS, the original gameplay of the series. GDI and Nod clash and each camp has its own base with buildings:

  • Refinery: Provides a steady but low credit flow for team members. Allows you to purify Tiberium deposited by the Collector, thus providing a large number of credits at the same time;
  • Power plant: provides electricity production from the base. In case of destruction, automatic protection ceases to function, and the cost of all units doubles;
  • Barracks / Main du Nod: allows you to buy advanced infantry;
  • Arms Factory / Airstrip: Used to purchase vehicles. If the Tiberium Collector is destroyed, this building will provide another one for free;
  • Advanced Watchtower / Obelisk of Light / Turret: automatic protection systems.

Each player has their own credit pool, which increases with each kill and looks like a simple soldier. The refinery generates profits in two ways: constant flow and low flow; significant flow when the Collector, autonomously, comes to turn in his tiberium. Loans allow:

  • «improve your character»: that is, buy an infantry unit that will replace the old one;
  • to buy vehicles: battle tank, artillery, armored personnel carrier … The vehicle arrives at the weapons factory or airstrip, you just need to go inside.
  • buy a superweapon marker: that is, a beacon to launch an attack with an orbital ion cannon or a nuclear strike.

Buildings can be destroyed in three ways:

  • by attacking them from the outside: all you have to do is shoot at any part of the building. Obviously, this is ineffective for most infantry units, it works with heavy firepower, like artillery;
  • by attacking them from the inside: you need to find and damage the MCT ( Master Control Terminal ), a weak point placed inside the building. Thus infantry can do a lot of damage by attacking them with C-4 ;
  • Using a superweapon: buy an expensive superweapon marker, place it and equip it near the building or inside. After a few seconds, if it hasn’t been disarmed, an ion cannon or a nuclear missile, depending on the camp, shaves the territory and building with it.

A damaged building can be repaired by specialized infantry (Engineer, Hotwire or Technician) using their Repair Gun. It works on any part of it, but is much more effective when applied directly to the MCT. A destroyed building does not disappear, but it cannot be repaired either.

The first team to destroy all enemy buildings wins. There is a pedestal in the center of each barrack; if a superweapon token is thrown and activated there, the team that dropped it wins. If there is no winner after the allotted time, the team with the most points wins.

Modifications

Several mods have appeared:

  • Red Alert: A Path Beyond : Multiplayer is almost identical to the original, but buildings, vehicles, and weapons have been replaced with those from Command and Conquer: Red Alert. Therefore, the gameplay changes accordingly. This is the only mod for Renegade that is currently in beta;
  • C&C Reborn : same with Tiberian Sun. The mod was released in June 2013 with the support of BlueHell Productions;
  • Red Alert 2: Apocalypse Rising : Created by the same hobbyists as A Path Beyond (namely BlueHell Productions), it takes over the Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2 universe. Its public beta is still not available.

All are (or will be) available standalone with permission from Electronic Arts, however Apocalypse Rising is not yet available and Reborn Beta still requires Renegade 9 to run0006 .

We also have to mention Renegade-X , a mod for Unreal Tournament 3 that recreates Renegade on Unreal Engine . Epic Games provided them with the Unreal Development Kit, allowing them to create a standalone version, which they are currently working on: the first standalone version is scheduled for summer 2010.
